UPDATE: It's been awhile now and they've settled in. A friend of mine had the burger a few weeks ago and highly recommended it. I was still skeptical because of my first experience with it, but went back again and tried the burger. They've figured it out. It's delicious. I'm glad they got this resolved because it's so close to my house that it may be the new burger joint for me. I give 5 stars to the pretzels but 2 stars to everything else. Too expensive for what is offered and not enough portions.

We sampled the smoked wings, the BBQ beef brisket and the onion rings at Cahaba Brewery. These guys know how to make some delicious food! I would recommend this to anyone! The food was so good we are coming back the next time we are in Birmingham.

Great to see a more permanent food place at Cahaba! They had good food. I will say if you don’t like your wings super spicy, they are probably not for you - I like spicy Buffalo but it was more intense than I expected. Edit - I thought it was just me but someone else also couldn’t finish the wings. They are VERY spicy. Might need to tone it down, especially since the ranch is kinda peppery. The onion rings were great though. Also got fries and beer cheese, not on the menu, comes in around $8 (which isn’t too bad, though the ratio of fries is less than cheese and it wasn’t the best deal). Great service and they text you when your order is ready!

I got food from the current at cahaba food truck. The food is pretty pricey and the taste over all was meh. The sandwich I had was really great! I would give the sandwich an 8/10 but the fries with “garlic seasoning” were not it. I would give them a 2/10. They needed more salt and generally had no flavor at all. For the price I don’t think it was worth it. :(

Granted it was during the BAO festival and they were busy but they relied on a QR code system for the crowd of people. System went down and they didn’t even know what orders had been made so we waited for over an hour for cold, undercooked fries. And we didn’t get the sauces we ordered. People who walked up and ordered after us got their order before we did. Everyone was standing around and they had opportunity to inform everyone what was going on and they didn’t. Also probably not a great idea to only have 2 people working on a busy afternoon.

The burger was a huge let down, the onion rings were insanely greasy and the chicken tenders were ordered tasted like charcoal. I had no idea you could make chicken tenders taste like charcoal and the taste stayed in my mouth for hours. Idk if it was just the flavor that was not very good or what but I started to get nauseous later that night from the food.

Food was awful. Would have been better and cheaper to stop at McDonald’s. Bun, meat & cheese - $13 and heartburn. Meat might have been ok, but could only taste dry bun, so who knows. Absolutely disappointing experience. Do not eat here if you can avoid it. Beer and service at Cahaba was at a high level as expected. Not my environment, too big; too many people. More of a matter of what one prefers.

Great review score, however our experience was pretty bad. We needed up throwing away most of our entrees; however the pork rinds were excellent, though usually not my thing. Maybe the chef just had an off night.
