Opinions de Capri Boston
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Capri. Our server, Christian, was amazing in helping us navigate the menu and also matched the hybrid fun / fancy vibe of the restaurant. The honey buns are an absolute must. We also loved the chicken parm (vodka sauce), Caesar salad, and Garganelli al Pollo (this was my favorite of the entrees). I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking to have a great night. The music and ambiance is incredible.
The food, ambience, and service at Capri were top tier. For appetizers my table ordered the Caesar salad and honey buns, which were both amazing. The honey buns in particular were soo savory and delicious. We ordered the Rigatoni alla vodka and that was also a 10/10. For desert we got a delicious chocolate mouse. Overall it was a great experience and i will be coming back!
We booked this restaurant a month in advance to celebrate a birthday, and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The lower level was relatively quiet, while the second floor was mostly small group gatherings and became quite loud during peak dining hours. We ordered the ribeye steak, the sea bass soup, and an excellent tuna appetizer, which was truly delicious. The mushroom appetizer was less impressive—the dish included too much dough-like filling, which affected the texture. The ribeye had good quality meat, but the flavor was fairly ordinary and didn’t stand out as a signature dish; the preparation and taste were similar to a well-made home-cooked steak. The sea bass soup, made with a lobster and tomato base, was interesting and unique. For dessert, the profiteroles with ice cream were excellent. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive—servers were happy to answer questions and gave us space to enjoy the meal. If we return, we’d like to try their pasta dishes next time.
Incredible meal, cozy vibes, beautiful Christmas decorations, great service! I want to go back already! I got the honey buns (a MUST), the crunchy Caesar salad (amazing dressing), the meatballs (best I’ve ever had in a restaurant), the rigatoni alla vodka (YUM- has a little kick of spice), and the linguine with clams (also delicious). Great wine selection. We tried the chocolate hazelnut mousse and the cherry sorbet for dessert- they were good but I was so full I couldn’t finish. There is also a parking lot next to the restaurant that validates parking!! Huge fan of Capri :)
Incredible ambiance, food, and service from every member of the team. Hard to find this level of care, consistency, and quality in a restaurant nowadays, because this attention to detail does not come by accident. Very clear the front of house puts a lot of effort into selecting the right people and standards, and the back of house is passionate and uncompromising. All at a great value for what you get. Shoutout Matthew for his professionalism, care, and joy that he brings to his job. No notes. Highlights were the rigatoni alla vodka, honey buns, meatballs, and the amaro shakeratos!
Very few times do I give a 5/5 in every category but this restaurant deserves all of the hype! We came here for our anniversary on a trip and out of all the restaurants we have eaten at (all recommended) this was our favorite! Food: Honey Buns: 10/10 (sweet savory balanced) Crunchy Caesar Salad: 10/10 (not too much anchovy) Prosciutto & Burrata: 10/10 (one of the most fresh I’ve had) 2 additional season menu antipasti: (these were seasonal chef’s dishes not listed on the menu) Rigatoni Alla Vodka: 10/10 (creamy perfection) Agnolotti De Zucca: 10/10 (seasonal and spicy, great balance) I seriously mean 10/10 with every dish. Service: Vanessa was our server and she was so incredible! She was so nice, very personable, extremely knowledgeable on the menu, gave great dish recommendations, and was very fun to talk to! Her manager I believe Maria also visited the table to check in on us and that is always appreciated and shows genuine care for guests. Between each dish tables were wiped and overall the staff was very approachable and tentative! Atmosphere: If you want to go somewhere with a great “vibe” this is it! You could tell this is a happening and popular spot amongst locals, (anything locals come out for is always good) no one is a better judge than those closest to your restaurant. We have been to many many restaurants not only in Boston but along the east coast and this is one of our very favorites, we will be recommending this place to anyone we know visiting the city. ALSO, cocktails are a must here! Very different and delicious!
This place may be one of the hardest places to find a reservation at, but it is actually worth it. Went there for lunch and was pretty impressed by how nice the place looks. It is so nicely decorated for Christmas and gets you into the vibe of the holiday. As for the food, everything we had was amazing. The honey buns are a must have. I had the tortellini al funghi and would definitely recommend it.
absolutely loved this place. atmosphere was incredible and our waitress Melissa was AMAZING. I have a tree nut allergy and she made sure to inform me of every thing that could be an allergen. She went through the whole menu with recommendations and was so friendly and attentive the whole time. def will be back!!!
Capri has one of the best atmospheres in Boston and while I’ve been here before and had a great experience… I wanted to specifically shout out the kitchen and staff this time. Capri went above and beyond with service and food. The manager PJ, Waiter Anthony and bartender Ricardo all went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent experience. The food was legitimately perfect- my boyfriend Tim had a ribeye steak while I had one of the specials, a seafood pasta. My dinner was full of perfectly cooked lobster and his ribeye was an elegant medium rare. We had the best time and were so thankful for a friendly, easy staff. This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Boston. They easily hit a 5 starts review even without their gorgeous patio (it’s mid Jan). We loved it.
I went to Capri last weekend with my boyfriend for my birthday. It was his first time there and my second time there, but I ate at the bar the first time. We were supposed to go the weekend before but had a family situation arise. Management was absolutely awesome and helpful in getting us accommodated, and very quickly as well. Everyone was very kind there. Our server Matthew was the best! As someone who works in the service industry, I appreciate great service, especially at more expensive/ fancier locations. He had great recommendations for drinks and was very knowledgeable! The food was great too. We will be back!!
Service, food, and ambiance at Capri was truly amazing. The honey buns were incredible, and the ricotta was a great touch. Arachni was tasty. Our favorite part was the complimentary small bite that had a buffalo mozzeralla with grape tomatos and a balsmic reducation on a sesame crostini. We both had the chicken parmesan with vodka sauce and it was warm and delicous. Timothy was our server, and despite having us and a full section was attentive and kind. Ambiance and over setting was unlike anything I have ever seen. We cannot wait to go back for those honey buns and try to more menu items. This place is worth a try.
Cannot recommend this new spot enough! The atmosphere is amazing, the decor is so cute! To eat, we had the honey buns and Caesar salad to start. The honey buns were to die for. We were informed that we could order a half portion of the Caesar salad, which was perfect because it was just 2 of us! For our mains, we had the penne alla vodka, and the aqua pazza. The aqua pazza had excellent flavor & was so fresh. Would eat here again (& again & again!)
We have been dying to try Capri but struggled to get a resy! We finally got in and it was with the wait. Our server Brian was so attentive and helpful with the menu, truly creating a great experience for us. The food was incredible and it was so hard to choose! Wine list is perfection and the atmosphere is cozy, comforting but decorated well. Can’t wait to go back!
Stunning interior and brilliant service to match. The food was really tasty, especially the honey buns with ricotta and Wagyu meatballs. I’ve never seen a veal Milanese the size of the one I received at Capri - it’s usually a thin piece of meat. This was genuinely 2 fingers thick and a bit off putting to look at, though again, very tasty. I’d come back!
Carpi Steakhouse is a must visit in Boston. The food is outstanding, with perfectly cooked steaks and rich, well executed flavors across the menu. The experience was made even better by Selena at the bar, she was friendly, attentive, and crafted excellent cocktails while making us feel genuinely welcome. Great food, great service, and a spot I’ll definitely return to.
Exceptional location, decor, service, and food. Everything was above and beyond! The honey and salt rolls with ricotta on the side were fabulous! Next time I would get a side of berries to eat with them. The salads were HUGE and I asked for grilled chicken on mine and it was cooked to absolute perfection! Everyone was willing to accommodate my needs and I even got a cocktail I invented :-). I do wish they had a phone number that worked. They don’t. I had a friend cancel and so I didn’t want to cancel but I wanted to change the number on the reservation and I couldn’t do that because they have no phone. Otherwise it was a perfect experience. You will need a reservation!
Great experience at Capri! Atmosphere and decor are beautiful, dishes are abundant and tasteful, and service is great. As a person with allergies I really appreciated the attention to this matter. Would definitely come back! As it recently opened we couldn’t get a reservation but we could find a couple seats at the bar, as they’re first come first serve!
My sister and I were excited to see a new restaurant pop up next to our building. We walked by multiple times during construction and ran into one of the owners, Will. He immediately welcomed us and made us even more excited for opening. We came for opening day; The entire staff is super friendly and accommodating. The drinks are amazing here!! They said they were still working out the food menu, but what we had was great. I look forward to seeing how the restaurant evolves over time! Happy to have it in the neighborhood.
Great food, lovely outdoor space! Server was super nice to give us our dessert free of charge because we were celebrating our anniversary, that was a nice touch. Definitely coming back!
This hidden gem is amazing!!!!! I came here for the very first time and from the moment you walk in is like stepping into a different mini world. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The food was tasty and the drinks were delicious, I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend this gem!
AMAZING food here and easily adding this place to my top 5 restaurants in Boston. We got an insane amount of food and there was so much to try. My favorites included the prosciutto with grapefruit, bolognese, and the chocolate mousse. Be sure to get your reservation well in advance since they book out roughly a month ahead. Nice spaces outside and inside too. Small miscommunication on the duel host stands for finding our reservation, but it ended up not being a huge deal—they’re still just opened in July! See more of my reviews at @alexissokson on IG or AlexEats500 on YouTube!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Capri Boston deserves 12/10 stars! They didn’t have any reservations available online, but still welcomed me as a walk in and treated me like a VIP from start to finish. Multiple staff members helped me get seated and even moved me to a table without me asking everyone was so kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. The atmosphere is absolutely adorable and cozy. The bread was hands-down the best bread I’ve ever had in my life (I need to know the recipe!). The lobster corn pasta was perfection I only wish I could’ve eaten more because it was that good! A special shoutout to Gregorio, our server, who knew the menu inside and out and made the entire evening even more special. Capri Boston is a gem, and I’ll be raving about this place to everyone.
I absolutely loved ♥️ the experience! Everything was perfect — the service, the atmosphere, every single dish, and the wine. I highly recommend this place, and it’s definitely in my top 5 favorites in Boston!
Tremendous setting (outside) on a beautiful, but chilly Monday night. Had late reservations, showed up early and the hostess was very accomodating. Ended up sitting right infront of the fireplace which was great since I did not have a jacket. Drinks were desribed better than they tasted, a little light on the alcohol. Server was very good with some great reccomendations. I had the chicken parm which was outstanding- huge portion. Veal parm was also good. Server reccomended it with vodka sauce, which was excellent. Highly recommend. Outside vibe was outstanding and free parking! Cant comment on the inside. OverallI can see why it is tough to get a reservaruon here.
Fantastic experience! We dinned on a summer afternoon and, although the service was a bit slow, the food, the drinks, the ambiance and the disposition of the staff, were top level. We made reservations less than a week before, and were able to secure outdoor seating (which was perfect). We ordered a couple of cocktails (if you’re into savory and new experiences, order the bell pepper gimlet), the Veal Milanese, the Ribeye and broccolini as a side. Everything was cooked to perfection and with exquisite flavor. Will be back soon.
It was worth the wait on a gorgeous and sunny Sunday afternoon! I did not have a reservation … and the beautiful bar outside is first come first served. So .. I waited (not lurking at all) until I saw two women paying their tab and ran over to stake my claim at the wood. It was worth the wait. I enjoyed a peachy twist on the classic aperol spritz while I waited for my order. The melon and burrata prosciutto was delicious. Cheese was fresh and gooey inside, the prosciutto was tender and the whole dish was seasoned perfectly. Service was attentive and efficient despite how busy the restaurant was. I would definitely come again!
I have been to Capri twice and the service is fantastic and the food is amazing especially the appetizers and drinks! The owner is so so kind and both times has personally sat us and checked in on us throughout our dinner. The atmosphere is one of the best in all of Boston - Highly recommended!!
I. Love. This. Place. Refreshing cucumber spritzer, delicious pasta with crispy chicken (perfectly cooked), and chocolate mousse dessert - I left so happy and so full. Kind staff, genuine smiles, fast service- I’ll come back soon!!
PJ went above and beyond to take care of us! It was a beautiful night and the food was fantastic! Every thing we ate was wonderful. The Cesar salad is unreal and covered in cheese and bread crumbs, what more can you ask for?? And you’re missing out if you don’t get the honey buns 🤤 Our waitress was so sweet and attentive even though it was a packed Friday night. thank you to the whole team for making us feel special! -the revere bandits
Everything was so incredible! Tartare was super fresh, arancini’s were unreal, all of the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection. The sweet corn was my favorite some how out of all the amazing dishes we had. Can’t wait to come back and try more
Five stars from food, atmosphere and service. The restaurant is gorgeous and our waiter took note that it was our anniversary and poured us a celebratory sparkling wine. We had: -Garlic bread: good but not great- only ordered as they were out of the sweet rolls with ricotta -Arancini: delicious and the pesto was so so good -crunchy Caesar: get this, it’s as good as you hope it will be -vodka rigatoni: so good, sauce was flavorful. Noodles were a touch under but not egregious. -garganelli: loved this We shared everything which is definitely the move here. I’ll return again once I can get a reservation before 9pm.
Decided to try Capri for my birthday dinner while my family was in town visiting. I live in Charlestown and love Prima’s so I was excited to try this place. I’m so glad we did!! We were completely blown away with how great our night was. The food, drinks and atmosphere were amazing, but the highlight was the service!! Our server was so incredibly kind and always went above and beyond (I’m so sorry I don’t remember his name!) He, and the chef, even surprised us with a charcuterie board and an additional pasta dish for us to try all on the house. If you want to be properly taken care of while eating beautiful food in a beautiful place - this is IT!! My new go-to birthday dinner spot.
I was nervous that this was just going to be another overpriced restaurant in the south. And however, they proved me wrong! I would highly recommend the veal chop.I will say I am not a fan of this restaurant charging for bread. I would advise everyone to just skip ordering bread and just order a different appetizer, it was not worth it in my opinion and underwhelming.
Food was so amazing!!! We got the honey buns, Caesar salad, and the chicken picatta for our entrees. Our waitress was the sweetest ever! We went around Christmas time and there was a gentleman playing Charlie Brown Christmas tunes on the piano! The best atmosphere! I made the mistake of bringing in an outside drink, but the host very kindly transferred it to a mug for me so it didn’t go to waste, which I thought was a super nice gesture. If you are considering going and you can’t snag a reservation, try going in around lunch time! There were tons of open seats when we went! Thank you again lovely staff!!
I usually never write reviews unless I am blown away - that was the case with Capri. Excellent service, perfect portion sizes (even extra generous with the salad sizes), and every dish we got was a hit. The snap pea salad, honey buns, steak, chicken pasta, and almond torte were great. It is reasonably priced for the high quality of food. Will definitely come back!
First, an amazing hostess staff that could not have been nicer to us. We had reservations made through the Four Seasons for Saturday the 14th of February. When we arrived, a wonderful young lady came up to us and introduced herself as the one making the reservation for us. My apologies that I do not remember her name as she was so nice. We had a wonderful table in the main dining area and even though they were quite packed, it was easy to carry on a conversation without having to yell across the table as is the case in some of the high end restaurants throughout the city. The food was amazing. Perfectly cooked and presented and very tasty. I had the Chicken Parm which was the best I have ever had anywhere. The service however, left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was very quick to come over once we were seated but after that, it was extremely difficult to even get is attention. We sat there after finishing our meal for almost 25 minutes before we even saw him again. There were some larger parties around us which seemed to have his full attention at every moment. We were finally able to flag him down. Our plan was to have dessert but we felt we would probably be there for another indefinite amount of time waiting for him so we asked for the check and left. In my mind, you can go to any one of 100 restaurants in Boston and get a good meal. What separates them is the service level. Maybe it was just an "off night" for this person but when it's your first time there, first impressions are everything. Again, the food and atmosphere were wonderful and I definitely would recommend going at least for that.
My husband and I had the most amazing time here. We came for my birthday and were treated so wonderfully by our server, Randy. The pace at which everything came out was perfect. The tuna tartare was our favorite item but the chicken parm was a very close second. The ambiance and decor are really lovely. The restaurant isn’t small by any means yet it still feels very intimate. A huge plus is validated parking for the lot right next to the entrance. Especially for a restaurant in Boston, that’s super convenient. Can’t wait to come back!
Overhyped. Mediocre food and service. Capri was one of the toughest reservations to snag in Boston after opening last year. We finally got in for a weekend brunch, and even around 3 PM the dining room was nearly full (walk-ins still seemed possible). The space was undeniably stunning, but the food wasn’t. Given the success of spots like Prima, the formula here felt familiar. Michael Aulenback knows Boston has a weakness for Italian steakhouses with a speakeasy aesthetic, so that’s exactly what he built. It’s a steakhouse where nobody actually orders the steak. Instead, the menu is engineered around what locals really want. A viral bun, spicy rigatoni, and fancy cocktails. The signature honey bun everyone raves about was disappointing. It lacked that essential pillowy softness, and the honey note was barely a whisper. (Perhaps they aren't baked fresh during off-peak hours?) The ribeye was fine, but entirely forgettable. The only dishes we liked (not loved) were the tuna scottato and the rigatoni alla vodka. In hindsight, this feels like a pasta-first restaurant, and we probably should’ve stuck to the carbs.
The Honey Buns are unmissable, so soft, so sweet, and pair so nicely with the ricotta. Definitely would come back here just for them. The Crispy Caesar was an unexpected fave for me, the crunchy bits were great and added to the experience. The Rigatoni alla Vodka was great, super delicious with the slight dash of heat. I think it could do well if it was creamier but overall no major complaints. The ribeye was very standard. I expected to be wowed by the combination of the ribeye with the truffle but I was completely whelmed. It wasn’t underwhelming or overwhelming, purely whelming. The mashed potato was good but nothing to rave about, and the jumbo asparagus paired well with the ribeye. Far From the Tree was quite sour, I preferred Spill the Tea. The service is really great, but not stellar. The restaurant got quite busy at some points and I felt like I struggled to get some attention.
Ambiance was great! Very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Staff were super nice and friendly, and the food was overall good. I ordered the Rigatoni alla zucchine, and I was not a fan of it. Aside from that, everyone else loved their food and the dessert was great too.
Great vibes and atmosphere on their outdoor patio! The Caesar salad was just ok als there was a crazy amount of dressing Note to self to make sure to ask for dressing on the side next time Liked the vermentino wine Funnily my company thought the pasta was cooked too long and I felt it was to “al dente” The bathroom was really well done
Beautiful restaurant. Atmosphere is great but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to my expectations. We had a tuna tartar (5/5), ribeye (5/5), roasted asparagus with bearnaise sauce (3.5/5), and the tortellini (1/5). Honestly, go for drinks and appetizers not dinner, and if you do, get steak. The service was also not excellent and to be honest the poor servers just seemed sad (maybe they’re working too hard due to the hype). The atmosphere and interior design really were the highlight. Overall, loose B.Good but I felt slightly misled
Capri is a gorgeous new space with lots of outdoor seating and the ability to sustain that well into the fall with an outdoor fireplace. The setting was so charming. I had a very nice cocktail at the outdoor bar to start, though I was disappointed by the number of cocktails and wine that were “sold out” and unavailable. My cocktail was gin based with grapes. We then ordered the tartare, tomato salad, and the lobster pasta. The tartare was actually probably my favorite of the three having lots of character and a twist on the typical with capers, Calabrian chili, and a lemony sauce. The tomato salad was just “ok” if I’m being honest. It lacked salt and needed something new about it. The pasta was very good and the kitchen graciously split it for us. My only comment here would be to beg for more spice and lemon zest. Overall a very good first impression and would recommend.
Food lived up to the hype, especially those honey buns with the ricotta! Atmosphere was great, felt welcoming but upscale. My only complaint would be the service. After greeted by our server, we were left alone for 25/30 minutes. Once we waved down our waitress she was apologetic for forgetting our table, but it did take a while for us to put in our drinks and appetizers, and i did feel rushed to order my entree. Drinks, appetizers, entree, and dessert were all delicious. Will be returning, just wish the service is a bit more attentive
Almost everything was lovely - food and drink was great and the service and staff were seriously amazing. My only gripe is with the bar and it’s first come first serve policy. I went on a Saturday night by myself without a reservation (I of course expected it to be busy and figured that I’d have to wait a bit) and ended up standing by the bar for over an hour in hopes of getting a seat. Couples were giving their seats to other couples including those that had just walked in and it was impossible for me to get a seat without having to be slightly rude about it. As I was about to leave, the couple seated at the bar in front of me got up and I grabbed the seat as fast as I could. I finally got to eat and my food was wonderful, but I don’t know if I can say it was worth the wait. 2 recommendations: Come here WITH a reservation! And for the owners, I think it’s important to set a time limit or line system for those seated at the bar and for those waiting.
I went to Capri last night with some friends who were visiting from out of state. The restaurant is lovely with wonderful decor and lots of detail. The food overall was very good but there are a lot of kinks to work out and there’s definitely growing pains to get through. Incorrect food orders brought out, incorrect drinks brought out twice, took over 30 mins to get drinks, server was not able to answer menu related questions, etc. The food was really good but I would probably pass on the mashed potatoes, the bruschetta, and the bread plate next time. The potatoes were separated with a layer of oil just sitting on top and while they tasted ok not worth the $12 in my opinion, and the bruschetta was tasty but for $13 there should have at least been 4. The bread was a strange texture and very sweet- definitely not my favorite. The chicken and veal Milanese portions were huge- and delicious! Large portion of chicken piccata and 2 pasta dishes that were ordered were also good. Would recommend the chocolate mousse for dessert! Staff was very friendly and there is a lot of potential here. I’ll definitely come back but after a few months so hopefully everything is running a bit smoother.
This place is great but something's a little off. The food and ambiance was excellent, and going for Valentine's Day we understood that service may be slow so we adjusted our expectations accordingly. Capri tailored Valentine's Day to be an experience, even listing our OpenTable reservation as an "experience" in the app. We walked in and immediately checked in, and were told there were complimentary water color paintings and Polaroid images in the downstairs area, which was very nice. But certainly seemed like a way to kill time while you're waiting for your reservation. We did both complimentary activities and came upstairs and waited about another 20 mins, seating us 30 minutes after our reservation. They suggested we could stand by the bar, but it felt very awkward as couples were eating dinner and we didn't want to disturb them. By the time we were seated we were starving, and it took about 15 mins to even get acknowledged by our waiter, who didn't introduce himself. He gave us water, and asked for drinks, but when we asked if we could put in an order of honey buns right away, he dismissed us and asked that we put all our food orders in all at once. This made no sense, because the menu, and the valentines special menu, was clearly organized by order of sequence (antipasti, primi, etc) so having to order everything at once was a weird request. We did so, and thankfully the food did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. However service was inattentive. We waited a long time between courses and at the end waiting for the bill. The music was good but a little distracting? Loud dj music (Fisher, Justin Bieber, etc.) which surely would be fine if it wasn't so loud. There was some jazz type upbeat music which was nice and more suited their vibe. Overall we had a great time but this place needs a little TLC in the customer service department. It seemed like everyone knew how crazy it was gonna be but still overbooked reservations, and food service was extremely inattentive. I feel like it's standard to expect that if you have a reservation you're seated almost immediately when you arrive, anything else seems unprofessional. And the weird request to put all our food in at once made us feel rushed. This place is so close to being perfect but definitely needs some fine tuning.
Worth a read based on our bizarre first visit. We had a 9:30 reservation (website says they close at 2am) and arrived early. While waiting, we went to the bar and were met with some of the worst service I’ve experienced. After being ignored for 15 minutes, the bartender greeted us with “What are you having?”—no hello, no apology. When I ordered an espresso martini “dark,” he responded with a snarky “They’re already dark.” When I asked for tequila and said “blanco,” he snapped, “WELL THAT DOESN’T HELP ME,” in a raised, hostile tone. As a bartender myself, that’s unacceptable—listing tequila options is literally part of the job. Another bartender ended up making our drinks and was kind and professional, which highlighted the contrast even more. Not only did that other Bartender make our drinks. He was also making drinks on service bar for the servers tables. He really made up for it. And was very pleasant. (Feb 1st Sunday night) We weren’t seated until 9:58pm, then told that the kitchen closed at 10, (why would you sit us at 10pm if the kitchen closed at 10????) forcing us to rush our entire order. Our meatballs and bread never came; later we were told the meatballs were “thrown away.” They were the dish we were most excited about. A stuffed mushroom was sent as an apology about 35 minutes later. which we appreciated. Eventually the bread finally arrived and it was DELICIOUS. but the meatballs still appeared on our bill. Food was underwhelming overall—my chicken piccata was dry, tasted nothing like piccata, and was filled with chopped lemon peel. I took one bite and the rest in a to go box. The only standout was the honey butter bread. With all of this being said. We did not complain. We were patient. And we tipped well. As restaurant workers we try to be understanding. Just wish we knew the kitchen closed and we weren’t sat so late, had I had more time to browse options maybe I would have gotten to pick a better dish. Something I actually wanted. And we wouldn’t have took the last reservation available (9:30pm). For spending a total of $280, the service and execution were extremely disappointing for a first visit. That mean bartender also complained about his availability changing and getting a shift covered. And unfortunately his anger was taken out on his guest.
I was excited to try this place with a friend, made a reservation online and showed up on time. We were told our table will be delayed, which was totally understandable since they just opened and was busy. Then we got a text saying our table was ready but the host would not seat us while taking in other walk in customers. A hostess walked by me multiple times, we made eye contact and I was trying to ask a question and she completely ignored me. To be fair the food was amazing and our server that night was soooo nice, checking multiple times to make sure we’re ok. An Asian hostess was super friendly by helping us validating parking but I personally would not go there again, especially when I heard similar stories when another group of friends (who are also poc) was there too.
Me and my friend were very excited to try this restaurant and we made our reservation a month in advance. The food was incredible and the restaurant was stunning, unfortunately the costumer service was HORRIBLE ! Our server was very unprofessional and rushed from the beginning! It all started when the main courses were brought out shortly after our appetizers, leaving very little space on the table. As the server noticed this she suggested removing the caesar salad that we had just started eating, which was frustrating despite her apology. What really set me off was when within a short 5–10 minute period, the server approached our table 3 times in a row asking if we needed our food boxed to go(I attached a picture of what our table looked shortly after that ridiculous question was asked ). At that point, my pasta plate was full , the Caesar salad was barely eaten, and the charcuterie board was barely touched! Never in my life someone has made me feel that unwelcomed and it was so hard to enjoy the food because of the atmosphere the server created! We were being pressured to finish our meal quickly and we were so done ,we didn't even asked for desert thats how bad we wanted to leave !
