March 2025 Update - Another excellent meal, two tuna dishes, and two different shrimp dishes. Thank you Alejandro for accommodating our requests. The Cajun Crusted Tuna was absolutely perfect. And, thank you Alex for the great service March 2025 - Great food again, burgers, tuna, shrimps were all excellent. Rolando is a fantastic server. And, the kitchen's ventilation equipment was working properly, so no smoke to contend with. February 2025 - Great food, great service, restaurant was totally engulfed with heavy kitchen smoke. Had to shower and do laundry after our dinner. If you go, sit outside.

Everything was great. The Shrimp tacos with a flour chipotle tortilla and the mango habanero salsa was the perfect flavor. I would definetly recommend these tacos.

The best fish chef in Puerto. The ingredients are extremely fresh and the preparation exquisite, he combines the best flavors from around the world eg: saffron fettuccini with shrimps and mussels, mahi-mahi with white wine and capers, ask for the special board as he gets creative with seasonal, most fresh ingredients. A must try in town.

Outstanding food . I must have been around 8 times during the month and the food is delicious , fresh and interesting . Full of flavour and taste ! Service is fab , as are the cocktails and the ambience is the same as most on the strip . Highly recommend but would suggest they change their specials menu weekly. It’s a must visit!

We had a lovely evening here. We sat outside. We ordered the mahi mahi and the tuna from the specials board and a couple of glasses of Chardonnay. Everything was delicious. The staff were professional. If we were here another night we’d go again.

This place is a great little restaurant. My husband and I went for dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised, on how good the food was, my husband ordered the La Wooow burger, and they made me some vegan tacos, they are not on the menu as this place is not vegan friendly, but I hope they will change there menu, and add vegan options to it one day.

The food was veery delicious! We took a fish in parmesano and a pasta with seafood, and we enjoyed every peace. The portions are big. Service was nice and fast. The owner was there and he was very friendly and attentive. The only thing is the dessert looked a bit expensive for me for what it was (140 pesos for a piece of cake). Considering the main dishes were actually at a very good price. Besides, very recommended. When I ll be in Puerto Escondido again, for sure I ll be back.

Really good food, I'm sure you won't find any other place with such a wide choice of seafood on Rinconada with such reasonable prices. We had guacamole, grilled octopus and fish in coconut and pineapple and everything was really tasty. I recommend this place!

10/10 recommend! The service was excellent and the dishes were beautifully posted. I got the special, sesame crusted Tuna. It was filled with flavor & pleasant to look at. I also tried 2 ceviche’s - I enjoyed the tropical one better, but they were both good! If you’re in Puerto and looking for a nice dinner that is packed with flavor, I would recommend Turtle Bay.

We were lucky enough to walk by this great little restaurant and decided to stay for dinner after seeing their specials menu. They have super staff and the food was amazing. We liked it so much we went back the next day for burgers. The tuna and mahi mahi specials were incredible. We also tried the shrimp soup which would have been a highlight all by itself. I highly recommend giving the Turtle Bay a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The best restaurant in Puerto Escondido so far! We were so impressed by the service (thanks again ROLANDO :)). The meals are very tasty. Usually, it's really difficult for me to eat outside in Puerto and I really appreciated that they cared about my food allergies. I had no symptoms at all after which was so appreciable. You can see that they use great quality products. I highly recommend!

Turtle Bay Restaurant will not disappoint if you are looking for an amazing meal. My significant and I started with the ceviche -- it was a massive portion and filled with so much flavour. Each bite got better and better. Then we moved to our mains. I had Camarones al Mango y Habanero (Shrimp with Mango and Habanero). I literally want them to bottle up that mango habanero sauce, it was absolutely fantastic. It was accompanied with a potato pancake and seasonal vegetables. My partner had a seasonal disk which spectacular as well. Apart from the food the service was wonderful as well. Our server David was attentive to when we needed things and also gave us our space to enjoy. He was kind, patient and spoke English. He even allowed us to speak Spanish even though it was probably not correct. We had a great time and will be returning again soon! Thank you everyone.

Un lugar que me sorprendió por muchas razones; La primera, porque está muy bien evaluado y parece ser un restaurante de mayor lujo que lo que realmente. Es un local sobre una calle en medio de la nada (aparentemente) y la segunda, porque la comida es muy buena. El lugar es familiar en el sentido que es atendido en su totalidad por 3 personas nada más (no recomiendo venir con hambre). No se si fue por la temporada o cual sea la razón pero evidentemente 3 personas no son suficientes para atender un restaurante por pequeño que sea. Respuestas como que no tienen Coca de dieta o que se les acabaron los postres mata cualquier oportunidad de ser un restaurante de 5 estrellas. Aun así lo recomiendo ampliamente pidiendo considerar los puntos anteriores

Con una buena sazón y una presentación sencilla cumplen con el platillo típico de la costa, sus precios ligeramente por arriba de lo ofrecido es una opción segura si te encuentras por el área.

El restaurante está grande, la comida buena, el servicio agradable, pero es un poco caro (y no aceptan tarjeta..)

Recomiendo el ceviche Torre de atún con aguacate y los camarones mango habanero. Le daría 5, pero no tenían “dorado” y la mitad de su carta es con “dorado”, entonces tuvimos que seleccionar otros platillos. Me pareció un poco alto el costo, para el nivel de restaurante

We found this restaurant by chance and we enjoyed our meal there. The chef has real skill and the food both looked good and tasted great. It was a quiet Wednesday evening so no "buzz" or atmosphere. Only 2 tables occupied. The prices are on the high side for regular service - nothing special and sitting at a sidewalk table. They did have a sign that says "cash only" but it might be better if they made that clear before taking your order. Many other restaurants in town happily take cards.

El restaurante esta en una zona donde hay variedad de opciones para todos los gustos, es muy bonita su decoración con las tortugas grandes es su pared y la exhibición de licores le dan un toqué muy mediterráneo. La comida estuvo bien no fue nada sorprendente. El servicio al cliente fue amable y diligente. Precio calidad un poco caro.

Food was good but not great, Octopus was not cooked enough. La comida no fue la mejor y de hecho el pulpo con parmesano estaba un poco crudo, le faltó cocción.

Insanely overpriced, very small portions because “gourmet?”. Note to bartender margaritas don’t have seltzer ;). Even though it was empty in order to get help had to stand up and look for them. One dish (the tuna) tasted very good, the other left much to be desired given the price and reviews. Brought me wrong change... twice

Vine a este establecimiento con expectativas bastante altas, ya que es un restaurante conocido por ser elevado en precio. La verdad es que el lugar es muy bonito: el ambiente es agradable y las decoraciones de tortugas están bien logradas. Sin embargo, en cuanto a la comida y el servicio, la experiencia quedó muy por debajo de lo esperado para los precios que manejan. Pedí una hamburguesa sin queso, únicamente con pan, carne, mayonesa y tocino. Cuando me la trajeron, venía con queso y aguacate, y además no tenía el tocino que sí había pedido. A esto se suma que no me llevaron utensilios junto con la hamburguesa. Las papas fritas llegaron completamente crudas y la carne de la hamburguesa no tenía sabor. Le pedí al mesero que por favor volvieran a freír las papas, y lo que hicieron fue traerlas nuevamente en la canastita de metal, sin plato, colocándolas directamente sobre la mesa. Esto me pareció poco higiénico y una clara falta de capacitación del personal, ya que ese tipo de presentación puede causar contaminación. Considerando el precio de $210 pesos, el tamaño de la hamburguesa y la calidad del platillo, sinceramente no vale la pena. Se necesita mejorar bastante en cocina y en el entrenamiento de su personal. I visited this establishment with very high expectations, especially considering its prices. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful, with a nice atmosphere and well-done turtle decorations that definitely add to the visual experience. Unfortunately, when it comes to food and service, the experience did not match the price point. I ordered a hamburger without cheese, only with bread, meat, mayonnaise, and bacon. When it arrived, it had cheese and avocado, and no bacon at all, which was part of my order. On top of that, I was not given any utensils with my burger. The French fries were completely undercooked, and the meat had no flavor whatsoever. I asked the waiter to refry the fries, and they brought them back in a metal basket without a plate, placing it directly on the table. This felt unhygienic and showed a lack of proper staff training, as serving food this way can easily cause contamination. Considering the $210 MXN price, the portion size, and the overall quality, it really does not feel worth it. There is significant room for improvement in both the kitchen and staff training.

Demasiado caro para lo que sirven, y sabor mediocre. Dos camarones y dos callos de hacha, servidos como “entrada”, por 280 pesos es una vil estafa. El servicio regular, tardaron en tomar la orden y no fueron atentos.

I wanted this to be good. Well presented menu and food, but it's mediocre at best and pretty expensive for what you get. Someone else mentioned that if you know what good food is then you will know that this is not it.... pretty much sums up my experience. Oh they also gave me a hard time because I wanted to pay by card. 3/10 would not recommend.
