Love eating here. Food is freshly cooked and you build your own plate. Great staff. Cashier Brian very nice and friendly also the cooks on the grill very professional and friendly.

Been coming here for a long time and never had any issues. I like to come during the week rather weekends because it's just quieter, I don't have to worry about parking in the structure and there are plenty of tables inside the food court. The last time I went to this place, the line was super long. There must have been 40 of us standing in line, which tells you something about how good it is. Was I annoyed at the wait? Yeah. Did I wait because it's my favorite place to eat in the mall? Yep! So that's my one issue. They should put two grills in and hire twice as many people. I was behind this family last time, two parents and four teenagers. While they were grilling my bowl of goodness, the mother said to me, "You did it exactly right! Mostly vegetables. My dumb kids won't eat anything green!"" But that's the beauty of Gengis Khan. You get to pick EXACTLY what you want in the precise amounts you want. I get a little meat and as much broccoli as I can pack into my heaping bowl, plus they don't mind if I ask for three spoons of garlic and no spicy sauce. If you're a teenager who wants only chicken and hot sauce and noodles, that's what you get. God bless freedom and God bless Gengis Khan. 5/5 stars.

I came to la brea mall location, all employees were extremely polite and fast, generous with noodles. Food was cooked well it was my first time getting the bowl along with rice and the soup actually shocked me it was not bad at all.

One thing I appreciate is the ability to create my own meal according to my preferences. The sauce at Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ is undeniably tasty. When I request extra sauce, the servers are usually accommodating and provide a decent portion. It adds a flavorful touch to the meal. Whenever I have a craving for comfort food, it is a reliable option. It's a staple in the mall food court scene, and it does a decent job of satisfying those cravings. If you're in need of a customizable meal in a casual setting, Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ might just fit the bill.

Be prepared to wait, but it is worth it. Food was delicious and I love being able to customize my bowl. Sad I wasn’t able to try the sides as they sold out but overall really happy with my experience.

Tasty food, cashier with pink hair was very sweet she was swamped by customers and still passed me chili sauce because the other worker was too busy chatting 9/10 would recommend the combo meal very busy so come early

It was tasty, but I made the mistake of too many noodles. You have to park in a structure, so be ready for a good walk.

If I'm ever in need of food while at the Brea Mall I typically find myself grabbing some Mongolian BBQ. It's good! Yes it is pricey, but it's definitely something you can share among two people. The prices have increased over the past couple of year. I believe just for the bowl, not the combo, it's about $10. You fill up your bowl with either raw beef, chicken, pork, or turkey. Then you move on to the veggies which include onions, green peppers, zucchinis, mushrooms, baby corn, and a couple of other options. The last station is the sauce station. Luckily, they already choose the sauces for you, but they do ask if you want garlic and/or any spice on your food. The lines can get pretty long, so just be prepared to wait. Yes, the cooks TYPICALLY give you more noodles if you tip them. The food is good compared to other Mongolian BBQ locations. The downside is they do typically stare while you're preparing your bowl. I guess they don't want you pressing on your food with a napkin. You'll notice a couple of people doing this just to add extra food to their bowl. Smart, but prepare yourself for a nasty glare from the cashier.

Been coming here for about 2 years now. Everything was really good until about 2 -3 months it started to be hit or miss with this place. The problem is they seem to have stopped cleaning the grill as often and now its a 50/50 chance that your food tastes burnt or charred. If the charred taste would permanently be eradicated then I'd give it 5 stars. (If you see a thick ring of charred crap along the edge of the grill you may want to avoid it that day.)

The beef was okay but the chicken needed to be more toasty .It was probably because they were behind and had to serve as quick as possible. Just hoped to taste it when it could have been more on the grill.

The place is always busy.. it tastes fine.. but I prefer smaller noodles. Just not my style.. I also like a cleaner cooking area.

Good for a quick bite at the mall. The meat is frozen, all the other ingredients seem pretty good. Interesting to watch 3 chefs all use the round grill at the same time - cooking in rotation. Make sure to pack in the meat!

they charge you for a bag; cheap to-go ones for $.10 a bag. then they added a mystery fee of non-cash adjustment of $.55! the 2 stars are for the cooks and their food...Awesome! customer service up front sucks; go home back to the couch for those 2 girls.

Amazing but I tried ordering through their online system and it was not ready by the allotted time. I have a set time for lunch and it cut into my lunch time. Otherwise there is no reason to order online when you still have to wait. They did not see my order and had to make it for me when I got there. It’s super disappointing but the food is always great but burning hot so I had to wait an additional time and couldn’t enjoy my food during my times lunch break.They also got my order wrong so I ended up unable to eat it and asked for a refund. They were also unable to give me a refund because it was through their online ordering system so they said I had to call door dash. They offered to remake it for me but because I had to go to work I was out of time. They offered to bring it to me in the mall but I was already over it. Do not use the online ordering system! The manager was nice after I told him it was not through DoorDash and offered me a refund but I think the refund went through a moment later once I put a negative review about the online system .

Wasn’t satisfied about how the they treated me. There was this old lady who gave me an attitude when I asked for more noodles. Never coming back again

Very bad experience, I been there at 5:30pm, and the guys already start to clean, and let the customers to wait without mentioning anything. I asked are you still open , the guy say nothing just winking an eye to me. So wired , just want to leave and get refund!

I really like the food here, just one detail: there was a girl at the register with such long nails that when she gave me my drink and I was closing it, she stuck one of her nails inside. She was talking to the other girl who didn't pay attention to her nails were swimming in my drink it's disgusting that they allow them to work with their nails like that when it's a food place and it's unhygienic.

The staff here not only mislead my mother and father in law but also mistreated them by saying it was ok to put their broccoli on the side instead of on top of the bowl that was already overflowing. The staff then refused to add the broccoli into the already cooking food. Yes I understand if it was on the side on a napkin then it cannot be added however, the staff ignored their requests and shooed them off until their broccoli-less food was done cooking. If you would like to talk to rude staff and feel mistreated and ignored then come here and throw your money at them. We will not be eating here again 👎🏼

The cooks were talking and laughing loud I asked and said I have a question and one of them went ugh. I was waiting 5 minutes watching them talk. They grabbed my plate with an attitude and swung it dropping the noodles on my hand and all over the tray . The guy on the line who didn’t do anything wrong apologized for those cooks and added more noodles while I had to clean my own try having to dump it in the trash over the counter.

Brea Mall food court location. Horrible customer service from the males they employ at this establishment. They lack basic respect and communication skills. Is there even any training on how to respect a customer? At the very least interact with customers professionally? They probably get away with it with no repercussions nor accountability. That’s why they’re so comfortable to display their disgusting behavior towards customers due to no repercussions from management. The food is good but most definitely will not spend another dollar here due to the crappy employees they have working here. I will be reaching out to corporate regarding this issue.
