Great service, the servers are nice and respectful. If you don't know what you want always ask the server for a recommendation so far they have not failed me. The food is great and the drinks as well. By the way the spicey sauce is the greatest thing ever!
Great restaurant. Friendly staff that was helpful about this style of food. Food was excellent and was easy to cook on the tabletop grill. Not all you can eat at this location but had plenty of food with our order. Great place
Our first time at this location. Staff was great. Especially our waiter, Steven. He was very nice & friendly which made our experience more enjoyable. Food was delicious. Will definitely come back again. Thank you Steven.
Delish!! From the shots to the meat lovers package to the noodles & a la carte dishes…. but most delightful of the whole experience was our server, Steven!!! What an absolute GEM, he made our night.
I came in today and had a great time! The food was great and the service was excellent! The Meats were very delicious and the whole dinner had good value since we got a course. I highly recommend the Miso Harami as that is one of their signature dishes! I hope to bring my family back during christmas week.
The service here is above and beyond, it's hard to find this kind of service, anywhere, lately. The food is abundant and delicious. I crave the appetizers and meat, that's how delicious the food is. Fun to come as a group, or a couple.. or maybe by yourself, if you enjoy grilled meats😉
Food was delicious and great quality! Steven, our server, was amazing! Great service and he made us some delicious shots! Everything came out in a very timely manner.
My first time there... Glad they were open on Thanksgiving. Very accommodating, they let us in even though they were almost ready to close and served us without complaint for over an hour. Amber was a really really good waitress, making sure we were happy all through our stay... The entire staff had smiles on their faces and were very happy to serve us even though it was well past their closing time... The food was very good quality. We ordered the Shogun which was plenty for our party of 6 and we still couldn't finish everything... Very rare to see such wonderful service anywhere... I'm sure going to go there again and again and i would certainly recommend anyone looking for quality Japanese BBQ...
We rolled in with a large family party. Quinn met every need. And we had requests every time he walked by. He was patient, kind and an expert in how to cook the meats. We love this place because of our experience with Quinn. Then (just now) he came running out to the parking lot huffing and puffing because I left my backpack with all our our passports and IDs!! Quinn. You are then man.
Surprisingly large and beautiful decor inside. The outside looks unassuming, but the high ceilings make the restaurant feel very open and spacious. Our waitress was really good at managing a lot of tables at the same time, and did so with a smile. The food was very tasty and they had a lot of variety to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
The service was in point, quick and friendly. They also have a great happy hour deal for a huge 80oz saporro dispenser for $20. The marinade is amazing and really pairs well with the meat they're served with. My group ordered the samurai and it fed four adults easily.
Went here for a birthday around 8:30pm with a reservation. We were seated quickly, given menus and drinks. Throughout our dinner, we were provided with great service. The servers we had were very helpful and kind. Overall, I had a wonderful meal here. We were initially stumped with the All You Can Eat menu as that was a separate menu that had to be asked for. Would reccomend, lots of variety.
My son loves going to Gyu-kaku, and when we found this location, we thought we would give it a try. The food is great, the service is great, it's not a big location but can manage a few big groups. The best time to go to any of their locations is during happy hour. The only thing I didn't like aboit this location was that the restrooms had little lighting and felt a bit creepy.
My family and I had a fantastic experience at Gyu Kaku in Brea last Saturday! The service was exceptional - the staff were friendly, attentive, and explained the cooking process clearly. We appreciated how the waiter would let us know how much time we should cook each raw meat, and the order of cooking the meat. The food was fresh and the dessert was excellent! The restaurant was very clean. We couldnt see any fly inside the restaurant. We were impressed by how quickly our food arrived. The owner, and a few other waiters were bilingual, and could speak Cantonese. Everytime when we visit, we feel very welcomed and we appreciate the hospitality. We have visited a few other Gyu Kaku branches and this one is definitely our favorite. We will continue to be loyal customers at the Brea branch and will come back soon! Highly recommend to anyone who love Japanese BBQ!
Celebrated a family birthday with 16 people, 2 little children and the restaurant did a great job explaining the options and how to safely cook our food. One table group opted for the Supreme all you can eat and another opted for the Ultimate all you can eat option. Both were great, excellent food options and we left full and happy! The kids really enjoyed cooking the food, especially the smores and loved all the ice cream options. The manager even politely asked if we had any seniors in the group over 60 and we had 4, so we got 4 senior discounts. Outstanding service! The various many beef options were so delicious and tender. Garlic shrimp and salmon were excellent as well. Thanks much for providing our large group such an enjoyable Sunday afternoon celebration together!
We had a great experience eating dinner at this restaurant. We ordered a Yakiniku Party for 4 people. The service and food were good. The waiters were very nice and friendly. We really enjoyed the food there. This restaurant is very accommodating with birthday celebration and wedding proposals. We saw them celebrating with the customers. We will come back again for sure!
We try the ultimate menu all you can eat, and it's worth it. Service is excellent and food quality is good. Beef Tongue, Toro Beef (Sweet Soy Tare), Filet Mignon, Sirloin must try in my opinion. Cold Tofu, Beef Bibimbap, and Angus Beef Rib is good. Recommended people here for Japanese BBQ for the first time.
Although they don't serve the all-you-can-eat option here, their food is pretty tasty and happy hour is pretty affordable. This place it's nice and spacious and very modern-looking. Nice place to eat. Not too much smoke around the restaurant. Although one of the servers "misquoted " us the price of a drink with Grey Goose, the manager took care of it.
The restaurant offers variety of menus, happy-hours, all-you-can-eat, combo based on your appetite/needs. Ventilation is not bad so you won't be smelled like BBQ after that. Quality of meat is amazing. Highly recommended.
The guy MAN is the man! Super nice, he checked up on us very often and took care of business beforehand! And the garlic noodles are a must!!! Love coming to this location feels very homey 👍🏼
They have great customer service. They are on top on you as soon as you finish a dish I felt rushed in a way. Overall the food was delicious. Make sure to show up 15 minutes earlier than your reservation time because parking is a little far

Good food and service. Had a great time there with my friends.
This was my second time coming here. The service was great! The server was very attentive and brought out our food very quickly. We tried the meat lovers from the menu and loved everything. Would definitely come back.
A hidden gem in downtown Brea!! We went Friday for late lunch (lunch hours until 4pm on weekends) and Quinn made our experience so smooth! He was friendly and very prompt with our service! They had lots of options such as veggie spring rolls, miso soup, salads, gyzo etc and meat variety was very fresh!! No smoke whatsoever from the grill which was a plus!! We would definitely return! It was our first time there and we are so happy we found it! A must try!!
Expensive but yummy!! Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Our Waitress put the wrong order in for us (did chefs favorite instead of meat lovers) but we still really enjoyed everything considering we ended up doing a more premium selection. The meats were so flavorful and filling for two. The lychee mojito was really good! Happy hour prices too. Will def come back!

First time here. We wanted sushi but this is not a sushi place. It was a pleasant restaurant, everyone extremely helpful. Food was delicious! You cook your own food, it was a first for us. So cool.. I do recommend. Lovely night and delicious food. A lot of meats, rice but I could've had more veggies.
Good quality food although kind of pricey. The platform seems to be focused on the food itself and not on a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience, as you have to be busy "working" towards your meal while the food servers keep on coming up with the next plate of food to keep everyone in your table satisfied. If you are into enjoying a quiet and fine dinner, this is not the place to be. With the same amount of money you spend here you can go sit down somewhere to enjoy fine dining where you don't feel rushed. Overall, food quality is fair so I'll come back for another bite.
The food has room for improvement. The beefs were not marinated or seasoned. Maybe you like that. Leaned into the side sauces. Service was so quick. Little to no waiting when needed. Decor and seating for a party of 5 was nicely arranged.
Great meat quality, great meat seasoning. It's one of those BBQ places where you grill your own meat so be warned: you'll smell like delicious BBQ meat until you take a shower. It is totally worth it, though. The meats are well marinated and super tender. They have weekday lunch specials that makes it super affordable, too,so don't forget to ask for it if you want to dine on a budget. I have one complaint, however. Their servers aren't very attentive or helpful, so I'm docking a star. When my group asked for the lunch special menu, our waitress handed us the house special menu instead, which is a higher price point. We also ordered an okonomiyaki, which she entirely forgot to put in.
Really good japanese cuisine place. The meat is high quality and they have a lot of variety. The food is very tasty and interesting. The grill set up is interesting and the decor is nice. Their combo meals are good, it's just a little pricey but you get high quality food. Just wish they had unlimited rice and salad. They wanted to charge us extra for more salad and rice, which I think isn't worth spending $3-7 for more sides when we are already paying $60 combo special. The walls are a little dirty and worn down and the seats also. This place seems to be always full, so I don't think they are too rundown to afford a little repainting and replace the seating. Overall, food is amazing, highly recommend if you want to spend a little extra on a special night.
The atmosphere is nice. Each table is semi private with a blocker which is nice. The food is amazing every time we come here, the meat is deliciously. Finally tried the steamed spinach and garlic.... new favorite. Service has always been good when we come here. The only down fall here is the appearance, all in all looks well but the pillars have nasty wallpaper peeling and hanging off. (This could be an easy over nite fix I’m sure) suggestion.... fix the wallpaper !
Waitress was not attentive to our table, I mentioned that it was our first time to this type of restaurant. I had to go to the bar myself for more drinks, bartender was nice enough to bring them to our table. We should have given the bartender the WHOLE tip... Will recommend but make my friends aware of the service. Food was fabulous.

Always a standardized decent Japanese style BBQ experience. Don’t expect extra fancy stuff but if for a casual dinner the quality is decent. Kids liked their ramen and rice bowl too. Good attitude staff, we appreciate the experience.
This place was a spur of the moment choice on the way to yard house two doors down. I'm absolutely proud of that choice, because this place is amazing. The food was fantastic and very fun to eat. Their alcoholic beverages were fun and interesting. Every dish and meat was prepped and displayed well. 125 for 2 living at its fullest. Worth every penny. Pricey, but worth it.

Went here for their all you can eat promotions that is running from Jan to the end of February. The food was good. The meats all taste great and were noticeably better than most KBBQ places in the SoCal area. What I mark down on though is their time limit. They say that the time limit is 1.5 hours and that's perfectly fine... except when they told us that we could only put in one more order as we have reached our time limit 40 minutes into eating. Even timed, we arrived at the restaurant at 7:30PM, we were seated in about 5 minutes and took another 10 minutes to decide what package we wanted to order, the $30 or the $40. We didn't get our first order out until about 7:55 and they said our last order was at 8:35PM. So even had the time started as soon as we entered the restaurant, which was 7:35PM, we technically should have been able to eat until at least 9:00PM. Adding that we didn't even get our first order until around 8:00PM.... 35-40 minutes is ridiculous. So outside of that, food was good, and service was okay. They take a long time to get your orders out.
Meat servings are small, if eating with one other person it *may* be worth it (big maybe) but certainly not to share with a group. Not even a small group. Happy Hour is nothing of much value either, it saves you no more than $1 on most everything. The service was good and everyone was friendly. I'd even say, the few meats that I was able to try, due to the small portions, was tasty. Overall, service was good, but I dont think it was worth the expense. It's possible that it is because 1 person in our group said to go "a la carte" so we didnt try their "meal for 2" options, nor was it offered by the waitress, so I caught on to it too late. My rating is more for their value for what u get. Not their service or taste.
Late evening on Saturday, the place was basically empty. When walking in, it smelled like an unwashed gym: like sweat kept wafting from inside out, but the cold air draft whooshed in every time the door opened which would be solved quickly with one of those privacy foldable dressing panels. The ramen was clean though, but it wasn't memorable. Not as fatty as other ramen places, and the drinks were alright. Understaffed sign was placed, but it seemed like just as many people walking around as there were tables seated. Friendly staff, quick output for drinks, and ramen was split without asking, so good service! Definitely not as lively as any other gyukaku experience, but it was probably just off timing. I'll be back for Korean soldier stew!

Nice place, our burner only half worked so very limited cooking ability. The meats were okay tasting except for chicken, i would not recommend it. We ordered 2 beers and they kept bringing us 2 more even when we said no. I liked the salad and miso soup but my wife didn't. We each shared the combo for 2. Total cost over 90.00 I would not go back.

Food was OK can't complain about it since we cooked it.. Service was slow had to ask several times for water.. Prices where pretty high I probably wouldn't go back.. I would recommend everyone give it a try it's different not overly exciting 8n any way but it's a new experience
Pretty disappointed. Horrible service. They forgot about us. No napkins...I had to remind them to bring out our meats, how do you forget that? They forgot to bring us our dessert...we paid for their "taste of Japan" $95 pretax which includes a dessert... Pretty sad when you have to get up and walk to the bar to get your own napkins...I guess I can't really blame the servers since I'm sure they were busy...I still tipped 15%...great tasting meats though :)
Worst Gyu Kaku I’ve ever been to. Didn’t think it could be this different with this chain store. Meat is not that good, very small portion. And this fried chicken, ssly, you tell me it’s Japanese style? Or Popeyes style? It’s a waste of this great space.
Food was subpar nothing crazy. Definitely too expensive for the quality of food. Many other BBQ spots better than here in Rowland/ diamondbar

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants to go to, but an 18% gratuity telling me it’s mandatory is poor customer service. it’s nobody’s business what I pay a server for a tip. I will be taking this to corporate as the manager told me it’s mandatory for a party of 2. This place has lost a customer.
We drove 57 miles to get to brea only to walk past a super trashy smelling compost and then we walked in to the restaurant and it smelled very bad inside there went to the restroom it was different they had a actual lamp in the stall.then they wrote a note on the door that says no all you can eat . So we got up and left went to gen in Fullerton it was amazing . I will never forget that smell gross 🤮
Came here to get lunch and they are closed. Looks like they’ve been closed for some time. The windows are sealed off and when you look in the front door, all the equipment is pulled out of the table. Looks like it’s been closed for some time. Should not show that they’re open.
