Opinions de Kimmies Coffee Cup Brea
Ordered an Avocado on Holiday, and it was superb. Got a side order of delicious fresh fruits. They are very accommodating when we requested for our yo be coffee reheated. Good wholesome food,
Kimmies doesn't disappoint. I've had a few delicious breakfast dishes. During weekends, this place gets busy, but it's worth the wait.
I've been wanting to try this place for a long time now and finally did. Pros: -Food was really good! I got the sausage and eggs. Service by the senior ranking lady was phenomenal. Cons: -Im not sure if it's inflation but it was a little pricey. The young women staff were a little stiff on their service. Overall, I would definitely come back and try other stuff on the menu. But not too often because of the price.
Best place for breakfast. The Brea location has a particularly cool vibe, but they're all great. Frequented Cypress and Fullerton locations. Yummy 😋 I always order a Spanish omellete.
It's really good. It's a small breakfast cafe, not quite your cliche 50s breakfast cafe but in the same vein. Great for small groups 2-3 maybe 4 at the most. Also great for if you just want to go by yourself. It can get pricey pretty quickly though. I thought I would just get a $10 meal and it quickly became a $20+ meal. Still great vibes and I'll definitely go again
I've been here a handful of times now and have enjoyed the food every time. The Country Style French Toast is so good! The wait staff are quick to refill your coffee before you even need to ask.
If you are looking for good comfort food this is the place! We only waited 15 minutes to be seated. Excellent service friendly staff and good food! We enjoyed a 2 egg breakfast, biscuits and gravy and a Chili relleno omelet. When there's a line of people waiting to go in that tells us it's worth the wait! 😊
I loved this place! It was very crowded, especially for a Monday at 11:00 am. Family of 5 and everyone had a different great meal. I had the chili size and it was easily one of the best I have had. My only negative is the coffee for a place with coffee in the name they need to improve. Although it might be that it was later in the day... But still... Kimmie's Coffee Cup should have amazing coffee. But overall, I loved this place and look forward to my next meal there.
We love eating breakfast at mom n pops. We found this little gem on a weekend trip to CA. Ordered the corned beef hash. I normally order hash browns crispy but I forgot to tell our waitress but they were cooked perfectly anyway. Chicken and biscuits and gravy was amazing. Vegan burger was great. French toast was delicious and so was the pumpkin pancakes. There was a bit of a wait bc it looked like they were short handed but it was worth it. Will definitely be back
We were seated right away. And three servers asked us if we needed drinks before we had a chance to even look at the menu! Drinks were brought and the service continue throughout the meal. Cheerfu, clean, food was fantastic! I like the tuna salad and there was definitely enough for two more meals when I got home! Prices are great! The server's treat you like family!
Just went to this cute little breakfast and lunch Eatery today. This is a great little meeting place in Brea! Met a girlfriend here and lingered for a long time. Staff was great we got no nasty looks after staying there and chatting for 3 hours.... this is a rare experience in today's world of rush rush restaurants where people want to get you out and get the next table filled. I had the California Benedict which was delicious. The only complaint that I had was that the breakfast potatoes could have been a little bit more crispy and had a tad more seasoning but other than that, my friend and I thought our breakfast was good. I will definitely be back here!! Thanks Kimmie's!!
The food here is always great. Normally dont have to wait for a table for more than 15 minutes. That being said the service is about getting you what you need and not neccesarily super friendly or conversational. By no means rude or mean, just to the point. So if you are someone who needs super friendly waiter/waitress interaction maybe it's not for you. But if you just want really good breakfast then this is your new go to weekend breakfast spot.
My 'absolute' favorite local Saturday morning breakfast spot. This place has an old school diner atmosphere. It's usually fairly crowded and noisy with conversations and dishes clanking. Food has always been par for me. Employees although constantly on the run are nice friendly and take good care me.
Lentil soup with sausage was delicious 😋, it was served very hot and I appreciated that. Servers were very polite and restaurant very clean! Good vibes here! 💖
Decided to try this spot out and it turned out to be great. The food, the coffee and the diner look was excellent. Gives u a sense of traveling back to the past to an old school era.
Breakfast: Banana Pecan Pancakes...to die for!!! If they didn't run out, order Home Fries... Extra Crispy with Onions and Bell Peppers. Lunch: "Thanksgiving Sandwich" is yummy and fresh. The Ruben Sandwich is out of this world too! Price: Amazingly low for the quality. Service: Attentive and Kind. Shop Small: Family Owned
Good food and very fast service. The breakfast tacos remind me of something my mom used to make for my brothers and I before school. The salsa has fresh jalapenos in it as well so it adds a great flavor to the plate.
Yuuuuuummmm!!! Best eggs Benedict I’ve had at any restaurant. Their hollandaise sauce is perfect and the only place similar to how I make it homemade-no package sauce here! Went for the first time today and everything was so perfect. The staff was amazing as well and what a cute place.
Love the feel here. It's almost always crowded, but that's because it's a great place, not from incompetence of the staff. Great food, mostly made from scratch.
Kimmies is the best diner in Orange County. For breakfast I’d recommend their eggs bacon and hash-browns with a side of biscuits and gravy. For lunch, the cheese burger is excellent! The ladies running this place are always on top of their game. Amazing customer service and excellent food!
Such a lovely place to have breakfast, Good food!

The food was absolutely great! Delicious buttermilk pancakes! Mexican scramble was huge and delicious! And the waitresses that took care of us, the best. My goodness, 5 stars are not enough, more like 10 stars!!!
We are regular here. Around two times a week. The atmosphere and the servers are nice. Their coffee is really good. Our recent favorite menu is country scrambler with biscuit and gravy! And BLT is all time favorite.
It’s what a small town Diner should be. Had to run errands at the Brea Mall and knew I’d be there before 10am. Kimmie’s for the bill. Small and unassuming, Less than 15 tables although I didn’t see the back room. As usual I’m at the counter solo. Nothing more powerful than a waitress who has full control. My waitress had counter, to go, back room and managed everything. Took my order quickly and moved on to the next order. Breakfast was full but not at all stressed. My ham cheese and avocado omelette was super fresh, no brown and flavorful. Hash browns crispy, toasted white bread and great quality. Thumbs up to friendly service with efficiency. Followed up my omelette for the short stack combo with sausage. Although even busier on a sat morning, the place was humming. Appreciate the efficiency, even though my pancakes came out a little longer than expected, she was apologetic. Excellent large sized sausage with warm pancakes. Note the pancakes come with a sugar coating that was unexpected. She quickly turned it around and they were great.
Really quaint coffee shop to enjoy with friends or by yourself. Service is great and friendly, and the food variety is significant for breakfast and lunch. It's nice to find places that have regular customers and there's a mutual exchange with staff when they haven't seen someone in a while. Its rare to find a "Cheers" (iykyk) vibe but Kimmies Brea has this.

Good service, high quality food, beautiful clean place…but, overpriced, bad sauce product and poor management of a hard object in food. Eggs Benedict’s hollandaise sauce was without ANY flavor - just oil and yellow - that’s it! Most likely just artificial ingredients. Charging that price, we expected MUCH HIGHER QUALITY. Eating the 2nd 1/2 was not desired, went to the doggie. Additionally, we paid 67$ w only a 10$ tip :( 2 coffees and 2 mid ranged priced breakfasts and 1, was the most affordable option. Worst of all, an unknown hard object was in the omelet and damaged my daughter’s attached retainer. We will now go to the orthodontist for repair or replacement. We mentioned the event to the server so she could ask the cook staff if glass or ceramic was a possibility. Compensation was not offered and I didn’t ask. Sorry Kimmys, U struck out this time, in 3 ways. I can’t afford you anyway. A bad economy hurts all. Try to retain your base if the fault is on u. I’ll reach out if we need to pay for a new retainer to be attached.
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with this breakfast spot. My French toast was a bit flavorless and it was extremely hard. Its not what I am used to. The sausage links and sausage patty was good just a bit salty and the patty was a bit dry. The gravy for the brisket was okay but it had a ton of pepper. *Update: I went again yesterday for a late breakfast and I was not disappointed one bit. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the Huevos Ranchero and he enjoyed his meal too. My only complaint about the Eggs Benedict is that the English muffin needs to be toasted a bit more, but it is definitely something worth ordering again. Overall this is a very cute breakfast spot. It looks to be a small family run business and the waitress that served us yesterday is part of the family, and I believe her daughter was working the previous day too. The waitresses from both visits overall were very attentive and fast. I think we will be returning again possibly soon. I also think the portions are decent for the price.
The food is served very warm. No problem with cold food here! Food is filling and taste pretty good. Loved the breakfast red potatoes. Small issue...we were seated in the back where the air conditioning was blowing directly on us so that was a little uncomfortable but we endured. Lol Anyway, nice little quaint spot to have breakfast or lunch!! Service was good too!
This is our first time visiting this place as we make our way to Coyote Hills golf course. It's situated in what appears to be a converted office building. It's a charming diner that serves breakfast and lunch. The waitress was friendly, and the food was quite good. We tried the ham steak and eggs, bacon and eggs, and corned beef hash and eggs, and they were all delicious, particularly the hash browns.
Great food and atmosphere, their coffee is also pretty tasty. It was a little bit pricey but worth it for the quality and quantity of the food.

Nice little diner that's around the corner. The food is good overall but priced 20-25% high based on what it is.. We usually split the order between two people since the quantity is enough and cuts the cost in half versus two entrees. I recommend Kimmies for sure.

Neat and clean. Small coffee shop vibe. They have a half page of items with Hollandaise sauce. It was bland. And served room temp, not even warm. The gravy part of biscuits and gravy was good. The biscuit part... average tasting and again, not hot.
It's a homie little diner and I have always enjoyed going there for years. It's been a few since I last was here and the food is still great and the service is great but the prices have definitely gone up since last was there. Standard diner coffee. The bill for myself and a friend was 40 bucks. We both had coffee. It's definitely a favorite for regulars and locals but I don't know if I'll be going back anytime soon.
I tried the cinnamon French toast. They looked better in the picture. Not very cinnamon roll. Lacked flavor. The glaze tasted like they added flour instead of powdered sugar. Almost like a strange gravy. Coffee was good but not worth $4. They up charged $2 to add onion and green bell peppers to the country potatoes. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ isn’t that the whole point. I need to pay $2 to put the country into my potatoes? Pancakes were nice and big, but the flavor was just not there. Maple syrup also sucked. Idk man. Not my cup of kimmie tea. The interior is so beautiful and clean. Restrooms are nice and clean. Staff was also very nice.
Came for breakfast. I haven't been here in a long time. The $17 omelet was a shocker. It came brown, which was burnt to me, and it tasted burnt. Customer service was ok.
I got the Kimmie’s Style Patty and Eggs, quite delicious. Very old school diner feeling. However, the service was a bit lacking. Once seated and food served, felt ignored. My water and coffee was not replenished. Waitresses also need some attitude adjustments.

Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We had ine waitress that was nice and pleasant ( she was the very thin one) the other waitress had an additude like she was very put out and rude. There was only a handful of customers in the restaurant. There is only one thing you have to offer to customers and that is service. It doesn't matter how bad your day is. You need to greet every customer with a smile. You can get eggs anywhere. But quality service is hard to find anymore.

Eaten at a few Kimmies and was impressed with the food and service, plus was budget friendly. This visit was disappointing...food was adequate, service so so but was shocked at the raise in costs for the meals. Sadly we decided not to continue eating here. Wasn't worth the pricing and service. Which by the way there was only 3 tables with patrons including us so couldn't understand the lack of service...
First visit did not go so well. The cinnamon roll that was brought to me had been overheated in the microwave. I then waited to see if they would redeem themselves with their breakfast burrito, unfortunately that also felt reheated and overheated in the microwave. It lacked taste, I left most of it on the plate. I could tell the lady who served us did not want to be there. This is a review for the owner. This was a Sunday, which if not mistaken, should be your best day of service. The only reason I gave it two stars is because their French Toast were actually decent.
Customer service is very important, a greeting is very important , I always wonder , if you don't like your job why does a person work there?.if you're a family member working there don't act entitled it is a terrible picture. I could see the chefs cooking.they were very professional, The young waitress.did well, I was really appalled at the other older waitress, she knows who she is. RUDE, Customers are supporting the small businesses. At least be grateful that you have customers. A SMILE goes a long way. And if you're having a bad day. It's okay. I'm sure you can take a breather, it has been a few years that I had been there before. Very different this time around, Do better

Grumpy women serving was awful. Rude no smiles no thank you.
New to area looking for a spot definitely not coming back the staff is UNFRIENDLY and RUDE but for no reason! Food was decent but way Over priced! I ordered the eggs Benedict, I only ate half the order was waiting for someone to chk on us to ask for a to go box. She comes throws the trash on my plate at the same time she’s asks are you done haha I told her I was going to take my food home and all she said was oh sorry! Didn’t offer to make half the order give a discount. I still gave 20% tip and paid over $50 for two plates of food to but ignored and treated rudely. No thanks I’ll spend my money elsewhere doesn’t seem like they care anyway they have enough regulars
My daughter went for 21st birthday today to get breakfast and waited for over an hour for 3ppl. 2 parties of 4 that came in after them were seated first. They eventually had to leave. I called and Leah was snotty and attitude! We love the food but this location not so friendly over the years.
⭐ 1/5 – Disappointing Experience at Kimmie’s Coffee Cup Visited on 07/06/2025 and unfortunately had a really poor experience. We waited far too long just to have our order taken, and the staff seemed uninterested and even rude when we tried to ask questions. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than customers. Service was slow and unwelcoming from start to finish. I’m sharing this as a heads-up to others who might be expecting a friendly, efficient breakfast spot.
