I stopped by this bakery recently, and it completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm, comforting smell of fresh bread and butter that instantly makes it hard to choose just one thing. The display cases are beautiful, packed with pastries that look as good as they taste. I tried a mix of items to get the full experience, and every single one delivered. The croissants were flaky, light, and perfectly layered, with that delicate crisp on the outside and a soft, airy interior. You can tell they’re made with real care and high-quality ingredients. The fruit pastries were bright and fresh without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated. Even the simpler items, like muffins and scones, stood out because of how balanced and flavorful they were. What impressed me most is that nothing felt mass-produced. Everything tasted like it had been baked that morning by someone who genuinely loves what they do. The textures were spot on, the flavors were clean, and there was a clear attention to detail in every bite. The atmosphere added to the experience. It felt cozy and welcoming, whether you’re popping in for a quick treat or settling down with a coffee. The staff were friendly, patient, and happy to offer recommendations, especially helpful when you’re staring at a case full of options and want them all. This is the kind of place that can easily become part of your routine. It’s perfect for grabbing something on the way to work, meeting a friend, or bringing a box of pastries to share. If you’re someone who appreciates baked goods done right, you’ll be very happy you came. I’ll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. Highly recommend.
I enjoy Le Pain Quotiden because of the food and service. They gave great choices for breakfast and I usually order the ham and gruyère cheese croissant which comes with a tossed and lightly dressed salad. Today I ordered green tea with honey. I usually order a cappuccino but had a taste for tea. The freshly made pastries are unbelievably amazing. I usually order the apricot and pistachio tart!!! Absolutely delicious!!!!
I just stop by around 7:45pm starving. With a bunch of request staff were so kind and expedite I truly appreciate it ❤️🩹❤️ they eveb helped me to charge my phone. With such a smile, its nice to see people that go above and beyong in their jobs Binta, Chris, Ahmadou, Tommy. I asked all their names because they are such a solid team. People deserve to be praise when they do good on this world. Thank you guys. Delicious food. It hit the spot. Perfect skillet, perfect tartine ❤️
I eat here every time I come into town, the staff know me now and today - I walked in and they asked « the usual? » (with dietary restrictions and how many people they serve daily, I was so happy to walk in (again and again and again) and feel at home. See you next time. Lots of Vegan and Gluten Free options. Perfect atmosphere, they only play classical music, which makes the ambiance perfect for conversation, writing or just enjoying people watching.
We had coffee, lemonade and pastries and found everything to be palatable. The coffee was strong and well brewed. The non-dairy creamers were available, which included a choice of oat and almond milk. To my delight they had a few vegan options and I went with the carrot cake, which looked like a muffin. I loved that it was a small piece of pastry and the pumpkin seeds complimented it well. Thank you for this nice experience!
Tasty and aesthetically pleasing dishes. The portions run small which is so for any French restaurant. Danish mini pancakes and Belgium waffles were perfect desserts. It is a moderately priced place. 2 main course sandwiches and 2 desserts/breakfast dishes came out to be $32 per person excluding the tip. On other occasion, a very tasty ham sandwich with even tastier side salad was $20. - so worth it. Place is popular and can have 15 minutes wait time in rush hours. Service is prompt and good.
Highly recommend this restaurant for take out or dine in!!! Beautiful indoor and outdoor setting. We were greeted and seated right away. Mind you it was not busy. We had a table of 4. The service was good! No complaints. The food came quick and it was delicious!!! The iced teas and matcha iced lattes are a must have. Would love to go back to this location in the future.
I recently visited this restaurant in New York City, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, making it the perfect spot for a casual lunch. One of the highlights of my visit was the pastry selection. The pastries were fresh and the coffee was perfectly brewed. I enjoyed a delicious cappuccino with my meal and it really elevated the experience. However, the prices were a bit steep, which is why I'm giving this restaurant a 4-star review. Despite this, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, especially if you're looking for a nice spot to grab a bite and relax.
Food is good, but this is more of a quick sit in establishment. I tried buying breakfast this morning to go. I waited 4 minutes to try to pay, but no one came to the register. There were at least 5 people working, but they were all focusing on the tables. Unfortunately, I had to leave without buying anything since there was no one to pay...
Cool spot in a cool location, but the pastries and baked goods are aggressively mediocre. The Canele was like chewing rubber and the croissants were stale. Spent $17 on 2 pastries and a Canele. Not worth it.
Honestly most of the food had no flavor and didn’t taste very good. The only food item that we liked was the egg skillet. However, the hazelnut coffee cookie was just amazing! Definitely recommend the desserts! The atmosphere was mid, it was rlly crowded and our table was right in the corner and it was impossible to get in and out.
The atmosphere is the best part, But do not come the hour before they close or they will not sit here. I tried these 2 little cakes. The presentation isn't much as they just throw everything in the same little bag. One was extremely chewy I would never recommend it (canele). I did not finish it. The carrot cake cupcake wasn't bad just little dry. I don't know if they're a bad day, but let's serve us just okay. No recommendations. No up sale. You are on your own.
Ok guys fair is fair and here we go. Place has a good scene of views and lots of street noise normal for NYC. Staff is where this place fails big time. 3 people running the whole place is not going to cut it. Hope the owner reads this. Angry waitress upset because I asked for mint leaves on the mint ice tea and no one around to clean floors and tables. The nicest person was the food runner bringing the food out. This place has lots of room for improvement and I hope it’s fast so I can return as a customer. Also do not come here hungry. Hope this place can improve
I agree with Chana Rose’s review. The woman behind the counter that made my Matcha clearly did not want to be there. She was unfriendly and made the worst iced Matcha I’ve ever had. It’s more like I’m drinking a cup of iced oat milk with a splash of Matcha. I watched her make the entire drink and all she did was pour a whole cup of oat milk and not much Matcha. I also asked for vanilla syrup and she pushed down on the pump so aggressively it splashed everywhere but in my drink. Needless to say, the drink was terrible. So I had to ask another employee if he could kindly add another pump of syrup because this woman was so unapproachable. What an unpleasant experience.
We had the worst experience at this place. We went at 8 PM, but the staff was clearly absent, so they were ready to close even though their schedule said they close at 9pm. The server was incredibly rude and had a terrible attitude. She served us terrible matcha. When we asked for another one, she questioned us and said that matcha is usually like that. But it wasn’t made well. I had a lot of chunks of matcha in my iced matcha latte, and it was just a little bit of milk. When I asked to change it for a hot matcha latte because I thought it would be better, they didn’t make a new one. They just used the iced one and added milk, which made it completely watery and tasted terrible. When I told the server about this, she just told me we’d call the manager, who was even worse than her. She was really rude and questioned us as well. I’m pretty sure this is her first job as a manager, and she clearly doesn’t have any sense of customer service. I will never come back to this place. The food was mediocre.
I ordered the jasmine tea, the lemon mini tart, and the canelé. The lemon tart was great, but the canelé was flavorless, cold and gummy and the jasmine tea understeeped. The bathrooms were extremely dirty with an odor and I had to pull a silverware set from another table because my table wasn't provided. The line to be seated vs. grab and go was unclear. There are better restaurants in NYC.
