If I loved Mr.Mario before, the coffee shop side changed the game. Not only do you get the amazing food quality you expect from them, but the ambiance and esthetic of this whole place was perfection. Juan was super attentive and very accommodating. We will be back for sure.
My husband is from Colombia and we come here almost every week. The food is always delicious and the portions are big. Could not recommend this place more.
I'm excited to write a review about this Colombian Restaurant, where do I start ? Pollo's Mario is a gem of a restaurant, one of the last places that you'd get your money's worth, the food is amazing and delicious, even to a demanding palate, generous portions that you'll take home a good size doggie bag , with great and friendly staff that makes a great dining experience, atmosphere is friendly and cozy with a great decor . Now the drinks , with a great variety of margaritas at a very affordable prices ,our waitress Paola went above and beyond to make all flavors for us . And last , prices ! Very affordable prices for a great meal ,I'll be going back soon ! Recomend 100% Thank you Paola !

I had such a wonderful experience at Pollo a la Brasa Mario. From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully cared for. The food was absolutely delicious, authentic Colombian flavors, cooked perfectly, and incredibly satisfying. You can really tell this is a Colombian-owned restaurant that takes pride in what they serve. The pricing was also very reasonable, which made the experience even better. A huge shoutout to Juan, who was hands down one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. Service like that really elevates a meal. The setting was comfortable and inviting, everything was spotless, and the overall vibe was just really nice. It felt good to support a Latino / Hispanic-owned business in the community and even better knowing the food and service were both top-tier. I’ll absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in Queens and craving amazing Colombian food with heart behind it. 🇨🇴✨
I was here for dinner the place was crowded but we got seated the waiter was nice and I ordered the carne asada with rice and beans and the food was good!!
I was visiting NY, looking for a place to eat and I said why not eat there. Great food, nice associate took my order and only took 15 min to serve. I will go back again.

While the service could be a little quicker, it’s not a huge issue, and the overall atmosphere more than makes up for it. Whether you’re here for a casual meal or a family gathering, it’s definitely a place to check out!
Quick service, very friendly. Food was delicious. If you are looking for a HEARTY and filling breakfast, I recommend the Calentado Mario. The hot chocolate is cute too, it has a fragrant, floral aroma, which I appreciate as it was different. Coffee was pretty good too, but it’s just sugar and milk only.
AMAZING!!!! Colombian food here it is very good, decor is nice and the music so happy… but the best it’s the service… Aracely and Julian are always nice with me, they make me feel like I’m in home or in a friends house. Last time they let me know they can sell cocktails and that’s a BIG plus. A must go place in Astoria.

This has been my favorite Colombian restaurant for years! They serve traditional Colombian food with great portions at excellent prices. I even order catering from them for all my family events, and they never disappoint. The food is always ready on time and offered at a great price. Highly recommend!
Pollos Mario is a cute mom and pop style Colombian restaurant serving authentic Colombian cuisine. Its the kind of easy-going family-friendly environment where it's safe to let your toddler sit and play with siblings while you all enjoy a casual meal. The staff is bilingual, polite, and helpful in interpreting the myriad traditional platters. I believe Pollos Mario has other locations, but this one's a local favorite operated by the same friendly staff over the years. The ambiance is akin to a quaint courtyard in the countryside of Latin American. The restaurant walls are colorful and there are ample windows for natural sunshine in the day. The lovely faux orange 🍊 tree at the center of the venue has branches that soften the overhead lighting as they extend across the room with their "fruit" and "leaves". I sat in their vintage balcony wing with Spanish tile "roofing" that overlooks the rest of the dining area and sits among the tree's leaves. There are additional tables on the ground level, some beneath the tree's shade, and larger tables off towards the sides. There are TVs all around so everyone can watch the same thing regardless of seating orientation. Expect to watch Spanish Football matches as soon as the season starts! They play all the major games and fans love to watch (cheer and groan) over meals with family. It can turn into a family affair, so don't be surprised if you hear a 6 year old relaying the scores and latest tantalizing play by play. It's a great wholesome experience and breath of fresh air for those longing for some old fashioned comfort foods from home. Will definitely be back.
Holy smokes- this place was SO GOOD!! The beans, chicken, rice, avocado, plantains omg. I will definitely be back!! Service was so fast and the wait staff was so kind! Shoutout the waiter with the glasses- what a sweetie! Highly recommend this Colombian place! This place gets busy so get there early!!
Delicious Colombian food at such a good price. The portions are huge! Make sure to bring cash, credit cards have a 4% fee. $20 gets you a huge plate with rice, beans, and so much meat. I couldn’t finish my bandeja tipica. My favorite are the beans though. Staff are extremely kind, especially since I’m not very familiar with Latin American cuisine. Would come back again.
I enjoyed my experience dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and the prices were affordable. The whole chicken dish was tender and flavorful, and the portion size of the typical platter was satisfying. I would consider coming back to this restaurant again in the future.😊

Good food and generous portions with good service, some staff have been there for long time enough to recognize me after years of absence
Food was tasty, got bistec a caballo, sauce was delicious, steak wasn't tough, would recommend, friend got chicken cutlets, she enjoyed them too. Service wasn't great, it wasn't busy and took multiple flag downs to finally get a to go box and the check. Never checked on if we needed refills on our water or anything. It is what it is. I'm willing to chalk it up to maybe the server was having a bad day and just do 4 stars, food was still solid. Also it said one price for cash and one for card, but the check came with the card price even though we paid cash. It's like $2 difference and waited long enough to just write it off.

I don't understand how guacamole is served w zero chips but that said the guac was well seasoned & yummy. Lots of hustle & movement, def a popular spot. Can't wait to go back & try more!
Big menu and obv w the pollos in their restaurant name I got the roasted chicken, 1/2 and tostones :) Airy fried plantains i kinda made a sandwich w the chicken. Um dry-ish chicken and no green sauce but they gave me chimichurri sauce which was nice. Mango juice was eh(no pic), and the steak wasnt very yummy but the rice and beans was chowed downn. Service was entertaining good place to catch up w girlfriend and calm atmosphere. Nice bathrooms(3) and decor overall red theme.
The Mario special platter is good and gives you the chance to try a little bit of everything, but beware it's a lot of food.
