Great food, strong drinks, pool table AND karaoke on sundays?! Love this local bar, I would highly recommend. They also have delicious vegan options and their kitchen closes at 11 which is a HUGE plus.

Great overall venue/bar/crowd with awesome bands booked upstairs + really good to great music downstairs thanks to each of the bartenders taste. has a pool table if you’re into that. serves food but never eaten there (for no reason other than I’m never hungry there lol) so i can’t speak on the food from personal experience but can say anyone who does get food seems to be very happy about it. There’s covered nyc pandemic outdoor seating in back. If going to a show upstairs - dress for it to be EXTREMELY hot (you’ll thank me) like regardless your 10000 reasons you think it doesn’t matter towards you … it gets unusually hot very quickly. Doesn’t matter if there’s a crowd of 2 or it’s sold out packed, doesn’t matter what time of year or temp outside, and anything else just … get ready to potentially get very hot up there and likely love you have the option to remove layers. one of my fave venues/bars Highly recommend checking out a show and/or just hanging out at the bar anytime - definitely check out if it’s ever a question or you’re in the area.

The Broadway a really cool bar that has live music upstairs that plays local bands which I appreciate, even though the music was a little harder than what I usually listen to, but the bartenders were very attentive and reasonably priced, and absolutely had a great time there! Would go again 100%!

does not claim to be the best bar in town. It simply exists, reliable and predictable, like an old friend. And that is its main value. It is a place where you can feel comfortable and relaxed, where you don't have to pretend or try to appear better than you are. Just a bar, just life.

A nice local pub. The food I had before they replaced the kitchen was always on point but haven't had anything since then. The staff has always been welcoming and friendly. Drink prices and in line with the area. A good hangout spot to catch up with friends.

The bar is cute and big but the wings are AWFUL! One of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. I got the lemon pepper and I promise you there was not a lemon nor pepper in sight while preparing these terrible “wings”

Weird inferiority complex bouncer. Disregarding him grilling all of our real new york state IDs for 10 seconds for dramatic effect, he later has a fit after I've come in after popping out 4 times for a cigarette and showing him my credentials every time. He moves his " id checking station" from the inside lobby of the bar, to a random corner outside (to smoke a cigarette with his friend, cool man), to yell at me "YO YO SHOW ME YOUR ID" and pressing my chest as I try walk in as the show I paid for seemed to be starting. I showed him my stamp and said "I didn't see you but you've seen me a bunch of times" and he just yells "yeah I see a bunch of people all the times, so what?". I was ready to do the oversaturated ritual yet again when I got into the "bouncer lobby" I had went through 4 times beforehand, but he was upset I didn't pay him heed outside all of a sudden, while he was hanging with his boy on duty? What is wrong with you man?

Bouncer power tripped for ten minutes about my friend’s very real ID, always trailing off like “so you see my situation…” as if my friend was supposed to just let him keep his ID. Carries a pouch of seized fake IDs on his hip. I guess it’s his hobby. Backed off when my friend moved to call the police, but not before an incoherent preamble about how my friend’s willingness to call the police had made the bouncer more inclined to believe in the ID’s legitimacy. A quick turnaround to reflection. The attempts to implicate my friend in the ordeal—telling him “you see what I’m saying” and explaining his brilliant deduction at the end, as if my friend should have to listen to a stuttered monologue about how the bouncer’s prodigious deduction skills led him to conclude that the ID was real all along—were especially disgusting. No apology or acknowledgment of being wrong, of course. And hostile too, to a very kind and respectful (23 year-old) (utterly sober) man. He also threatened to make it harder for my friend if I didn’t stop talking to him—he told me to “take a step back”, like he was a cop and not a civilian two inches shorter than me, on the city sidewalk! This was at like 8:00 PM, by the way. It’s a dive bar in a crappy part of Brooklyn. No shade, I’m just saying it’s not The Hague. Drake was not in attendance. The Burj Khalifa was not in view. But this hall monitor had dreams. I’m being funny but it wasn’t funny, it was abominable.

The bathrooms look like they exist in an alley. The doors don’t lock, it smells bad, graffiti everywhere. I am just tired of venues that look like they’re run by people who hate being there. The sound for live bands is awful. There are no options for non-alcohol drinks. The pickles that came with my sandwich had no salt! That is crazy, just a sour, cold limp cucumber. The front entrance is crazy cramped with people leaving and entering from the upstairs venue, people leaving and entering the venue and people trying to show ID and pay to get in.
