My son andni came.here for the first time last weekend!!! He ate at Troplyz and I ate at Golden Krust...what a truly tasty and pleasant experience!!! 😋 the food was good and very decently priced!! I would definitely come again!!!

Open buffet, the food looks delicious and fresh. The space is clean and spacious. I order the vegetable patty with coco bread and Golden Krust did not disappoint. Staff was professional and efficient.

I would just like to say thanks for being in the Bronx you made it very easy for me to get to you and others. The store was very clean. Prell hand sanitizer and gloves at the front door. The staff show good hospitality. Thanks, the food was amazing I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I got the oxtails beautiful the gravy was amazing. I got a piece of curry chicken. The gravy was amazing. I got one rib it was a little dry, but I know that it was closing time it’s ok next time I’ll come earlier just so I can see if the pork ribs are moist and tender I got cabbage. It was beautiful the seasoning and the texture. and I got peas and rice. I love the taste and the texture of the rice I just want to say thanks whatever you do, make sure that you take good care of the chef, or the chefs that made this all happen, because without them, it would not be pleased do not switch up any of them. Food was flavored real good. The collard greens, ox tail, curry goat, yams, rice and beans, pastan ckn. It was crowded. Alot of NY attitude but overall I would order again. The lady that rings people up was nice.

The Employees are friendly, they greet you at the door. They issue plastic glove before you serve your food. It's buffet style which is different from all the others. The food is Delicious, the establishment is spacious and clean. It has a seating area and they play great music. Reggae of course. I would like them to offer sliced brown stew fish to their menu. less bones, mot everybody like Salmon. Overall they are great and we welcome them to the neighborhood!!!

Golden Crust has a great selection of food and vigilante staff that takes care of refilling and freshening the buffet bar. It was $26 for a plate of food with a pineapple ginger fresh drink. I ate in the store and found everything pleasant. Thank you!😊

The food is amazing and the employees are beautiful and dark skinned like me. It was beautiful to see, and gives me a reason to come back to 149th street. The best Golden Krust buffet. I'm happy to find a nice spot with Carribean food that's somewhat close to me.

People usually talk smack about Golden Krust. They call it the Jamaican fast food. I eat a lot of Jamaican food and i gotta say, first time trying Golden Krust so i got a big plate of “little bit of everything” and ALL of it was delicious. I’m very impressed. Well done.

I stopped by this Golden Krust yesterday for the first time and I was very impressed. The first thing I noticed was the massive steamtable and the wide variety of Caribbean and American foods on display. The buffet was impressive, my mouth was watering, and I wanted to try everything. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and is very clean. The staff were very friendly and were constantly replenishing the steamtable, as the food was going quickly. I met Nova, the manager and she was very pleasant in welcoming me and explaining how the buffet works when I mentioned that it was my first time visiting. I bought oxtails, with some curried goat with and peas and rice with mac and cheese, collard greens, plantains and fried shrimp. Nova advised me to put the shrimp in a separate container as that would make my food cheaper. The food was delicious. This Golden Krust is now my favorite spot, and I will visit regularly!!!!!!

This is a food bar-buffet styled restaurant that has Caribbean and Soul food. It is very clean, the workers are respectable, and the atmosphere is welcoming. What I like the most- before you gather your tray, you have to put on plastic gloves to prevent germs/bacteria from settling on the food handles and thus the food. Food is very good. The desert, cake-Black Forest Cake, OMG....going back. You will not be disappointed.

As a Jamaican, I can say this is the best Golden Krust in New York City. I've never encountered a beautiful Golden Krust like this. I have dined in, had business meetings, takeout and ran here for a patties & dinner for my family. They have yet to disappoint and I hope they never do. I don't even have pictures of my food because it's so good I just nyam it all! They are very clean, change out the food very frequently and have very good authentic Jamaican food. Even the American style food taste so good! You MUST! Wear gloves when serving food. I've told every Jamaican that I know about this place. I live three boroughs away, but when I travel all the way to the Bronx, I must get this food. I wish every Golden Krust was modeled after this beautiful one. They definitely! Restored my faith in Golden Krust food( but I will only eat this one's).

Customer Review for Golden Krust I recently visited Golden Krust, a Caribbean restaurant, after noticing it while doing some banking down the street. The place looked fairly new, so I decided to give it a try. For breakfast, I ordered liver and a couple of sides. Initially, I was under the impression that lunch items would be available, but this visit introduced me to their Caribbean breakfast selections. The food was good, and I enjoyed my meal. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. Unlike many other places, the tables were spotless upon arrival, so I didn’t have to ask anyone to clean them. The team at Golden Krust, especially the cashier named Moya T., was assertive and proactive, which added to the positive experience. One word...AMAZING! Not gonna lie, I was skeptical. Golden Krust and buffet no way, but oh was I so wrong! Beautiful display of fresh culinary delights all of the Jamaican staples and then some. It is like being in a food court made in heaven. The oxtail is seasoned and stewed to perfection and it was so refreshing to have rice and peas and cabbage cooked correctly. Prices are reasonable, not cheap, but you get what you pay for and this meal for 2 was well worth the $30. Can't wait to go back and try the Curry Goat, good thing the train is right around the corner.

Omg the food is incredible. The buffet is filled with assorted meats. I have to say the Jerk chicken is amazing. The next time I visit, I more than likely will get an entire dish of jerk chicken. It is perfect. I am going to try the curry too. I am defeated by the fact I didn’t try any. Also, the plantains are to die for. It well my friends. When I found out golden krust had a buffet in the bronx I had to go. This is store is big and I love the fact I can put what I want on my plate. The stuff is ok but I do recommend trying this place out.

This restaurant style is new 👌 😍 The food is delicious, Curry Chicken, Stew Chicken, barbeque ribs, oxtails, plaintains, soup three different rice dishes, shrimp, rasta pasta, cabbage, greens, salad mac n cheese patties you will be 😁 until you put your plate on the scale and see a million dollars. Ok I'm exaggerating but $15.00 per pound you can imagine the bill. On average any other golden krust restaurant costs you $15 -$18.00 here its about $26 and up. You decide its quality or your pockets.

They weigh the food ,prices are too expensive . I used two large containers to make the purchase . The two dinners cost after weighing totaled over $ 90.00 . I asked why the high price & the cashier stated that because of including oxtails.

The food here at this establishment is pretty good. This place was clean and the food was fresh and hot. The food price is high because they weigh your food; outside of that, no complaints. The food is good.

Love to idea of a buffet style as I love to select my own food. However, the price is real issued. Paid $59 for one small and one big plate. The food is delicious there is no doubt about that. I think you can get more food at a regular Golden krust for the same amount of money.

I come here at least three times a month since last year. The service is still the same some happily greet you and some don’t greet at all. Can I just say Who ever the chef is that is cooking the fish need to stop putting all that dam ketchup on your fish? This is not a Chinese restaurant where you’re buying french fries and wings and you slaughtering it with ketchup I’m eating it right now and all I’m tasting is ketchup. There is no flavor on this fish when I said flavor I mean from black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, scotch bonnet etc.This fish is so sweet you think I’m eating candy. Ketchup is not a Flavoring. Same thing with the oxtail, you don’t need that much brown sugar in the oxtail for browning.

I been to several Golden Krusts and the food is good. Furthermore, they have a good selection of different foods. However, it can be very pricey. The Golden Krusts on E. 149th is setup like a buffet style and you serve yourself and they charge by the weight. I like that Golden Krust added fried shrimps, which is my favorite seafood and their pasta pasta is on point. However, they need to work on making their candied yams. I am a southern man and I know good candied yams. 😉

The customer service could be better but the food is amazing. I only have to deal with the cashier talking on her phone while I check out, no big deal🤷🏾‍♀️. I am coming back for the shrimp and chicken Rasta pasta, curry chicken and fried 🍤 at least once a week. I am not arguing with ppl that may have to prepare my food, plus the restaurant is extremely clean and well sanitized. Food and cleanliness mean more to me, than the attentiveness of my cashier #IJS I highly recommend coming in and experience the different colors and aromas from the food for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

If you don't have the $$ to spend don't bother coming. It is a open buffet where you serve your own plate then pay. Now if you don't have self control and put too much on your plate then YES it will be extra expensive. Please don't go in there shock then to complain about how much money spent on Google reviews. Please put gloves in before grabing spoons and don't sample the food that is gross and nasty. If you can't follow the simple respectful rules it shows you have no home training. A BIG EWWW to those that can respect others by following the rule respectfully. Ohhhh and there is a Food Bouncer next to the buffet for those that have difficulty following the rules. The Food Bouncer is watching, which is a GREAT thing. Happy Eating everyone.

The food is decent if you’re used to Caribbean food but it isn’t worth the price. Even if you order the “ smart” way, they’ve already figured out how make sure you still overpay. Unless you’re starving with no other option, don’t go. 🤬

I love the new look and I like how you get to make your own plate of food. The only bad thing about this store is they follow you around like you about to run out the store with your food. They gotta work on the customer service skills a little bit and smile more.

Ordered a meal and there was no gravy on the rice, not even as a side. Just dry rice. Unacceptable. I should not have to add a note to tell a golden kruat restaurant tjat I need some type of gravy. That.shoild be a option for a customer. Plantain was half ripe/partially green.

*Update: The food quality went down significantly in the last year or so. This not enough to warrant an update or taking off stars or whatever, but what I've also noticed is their scales aren't TARED when you get to the counter. that means whatever that weight is, you're paying $8.99 or whatever it is. It's not much, but it's a is way of taking a little from each customer, so be careful with that. Times are rough for everybody.* First thing first, you have to know how to pack your food or you WILL be overcharged. Pack everything separately so you're not paying $8.99/lb for rice. That said, the food is great and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They are definitely trying to cater to the masses as their jerk isn't so spicy like other places but still flavorful. The oxtails are great as is their brown stew chicken and bbq ribs. The prices are reasonable in these inflationary times if you pack the food properly. I'm glad they opened a store here and I'll definitely be coming back!

Customer service is far from stellar. The atmosphere is not warm and welcoming and the service workers do not have a friendly disposition. I've ordered take out on numerous occasions for myself and my family and I have to commute to the restaurant to indulge. To have to go out of my neighborhood to dine there to be treated poorly does not give me an incentive to keep dinning here. One worker showed me a glimpse of kindness when he told me it made more sense to separated my seafood to prevent a greater cost. Other than that the cashiers lack professionalism. I was so proud to learn of the store opening on the news some time ago and was excited to support a black business but the guest service needs work ! Do better !

I recently tried Golden Krust, and while the food was definitely filling, I couldn’t justify the price point. My plate came out to $35, and that was after removing the shrimp since it was an additional charge—otherwise, it would’ve been even more expensive. For that kind of price, I was expecting a stronger flavor profile and more depth in the food. This was also my first time at a Golden Krust where you pick your food and they charge by weight, which was interesting, but it definitely adds up quickly without realizing it. Overall, the portion size satisfied my hunger, but the value for money and flavor balance didn’t quite match the high cost.

Been coming here for a while and had no complaints until now. I came in and had a few orders. I had veggies in a container and put in a about 4 pieces jerk pork. I never realized I was being charged $9.99/lb for that. If I was an employee there I would make that noticeable to the customer. Let people know so they can seperate the meat in another container. Paying almost $9 for some cabbage and 4 pieces of jerk pork in the small container is ridiculous.

So I went there today with my husband, I am Jamaican, he is not but he always have interest in tying our food, but either those staff at the cashier I don’t think he will ever wants to go back, they are full of attitude very unprofessional n u think the boss should look into the people he hired to deal with customers, just a bad experience but otherwise the food is always great …. First visit, and likely my last to this particular location. The place was clean, well kept, and bright. I walked past the buffet, thinking I'd be able to order at the counter. Against my better judgment, I asked one worker if they had porridge; she responded with, "It's at the island." Again, I've never been here before, so how would I know?! I used the plastic gloves they had available to package my porridge & dumplings, and made a beeline to the register to get out of there. At the register, I couldn't tell if she was talking or singing to herself, but I heard her say something. I inquired if she was talking to me, to which she responded by shaking her head no and kept speaking. Not only was her body language unwelcoming, but her facial expression, the dismissal of the wave of the hand when she motioned to the buffet, and her genuine irritability to be at work this morning, did it for me. The cornmeal porridge was bland, room temperature, and the dumpling was salty and cold - both items were from the island. Disappointing experience. 😩

$25 for 5 shrimp and a couple pieces of jerk pork. The food was decent the issue came when Security told me I can’t eat all the shrimp while I was serving myself since it’s a buffet style. In my opinion I felt like he what he was really saying I can’t take the shrimp without scooping it with the peppers onion. I spent 89$ to be treated like I was disturbing the staffs free time. They refused to allow my husband to use the bathroom. They are not people friendly and t I witnessed a female staff treat a senior citizen like garbage. Did Golden crust forget the community is who pays there bills. How dare you think it’s ok to treat people unfairly and dismiss the fact that our hard earned money is being spent there. Time to clean house and hire the people that want to work there and the don’t mind servicing the community with respect and dignity. I will never spend my hard earned money in this place again, what that staff did to that senior citizen was unacceptable and she should be fired! Along with all the staff on shift on March 12, 3pm. I hope the senior is related to a cop or council member so they can be held accountable!

Ordered delivery from here today. I got some else's order of fried chicken rice and peas and I ordered a large oxtail and 2 spicy beef patties which I didn't get . Long story short the fried chicken was oily and soggy. It didn't taste good. I tried to eat it and it sick my stomach , I threw up 😩. I got heartburn now and im still starving. The rice and peas was just ok. I regret ordering from here . I do Not recommend.

I wouldn’t come here, I hesitated at first but then I came back cause I felt like I needed something close to a home cooked meal but I regret it. I paid 51 dollars for 2 small plates … very unoriginal compared to the other golden krust in the Bronx and come to find out me and my husband got very sick and still is sick after eating here smh. This place is so so over price with they Thanksgiving food if you have suger do eat there the food is very sweet they put sugar in there food, I know some many people who can cook better at home for 1/2 the price. My first time at this location. I was excitited for my friend to try jamaican food and of course her first impression was horrible. She had a piece of jerk chicken with 2 pieces of fried shirmp and rice and Peas. I had curry chicken with rice and Peas a piece of yam and one piece of the chilli chicken wine. When I went to pay the person at the counter was VERY RUDE. Her attitude and body language already set the tone. She weighed my food then weighed my friends food. She then shook up the containers. Then I noticed she was charging me for a shrimp dinner. So I asked her why is she charging me for a shrimp dinner when it's literally 2 pieces of shrimp and the general buffet price is $8.99lb. She got so nasty huffed and puffed and told me very rudely to remove the shrimp then. Because they charge by weight and the most expensive item in the plate. Which I found ridiculous. So I told her I'm the one paying so I have a right to question what I was being charged. Remind you the place was full of people and I felt so embarrassed so I paid for my food and left. She was also rude to the people picking up food for uber or grub hub. Then noticed I was charged for shrimp meal and jerk chicken & shirmp pasta meal. I also bought 2 chicken patties and 2 coco breads. For a total of $48.81 which is crazy. I didnt ask to speak to a manager because I think she was the manager. Her name is on my receipt. My friends reaction was priceless. Because she always heard that janaican restaurants were rude but she saw it for her self. At most Golden krust I have gone to the customer service is not the best, but this one was the worst one by far.

I honestly can't explain what happened today at my work. I ordered twice from here and food never arrived. The first time I got a refund from Ubereats. I decided to use the refund to order from here, the same day within an hour of my first order going missing...and again, app said delivered but no food. It'd be weird to request another refund from ubereats so I'm out of $21.42. I've never had other establishments not deliver to my work place or food just go missing.

I put one piece of oxtail in my food and my price went from $8.99 a pound to 12.99 a pound. I feel robbed and deceived! If I was close by I would go back and demand my money! I work hard for my money! I don't like business owners that price gauge. Oxtail in the market is not as expensive as you charge! Stop robbing the people!

This place needs to be investigated. I got a small order which weighed 1.229 pounds and when I looked at my receipt, they charged me 1.250 pounds for my food. People need to check they receipts cause they are charging people more a pound for their food I asked the girl about it and she hurried off the register and went to the back. This place has entirely fell off the fried fish tastes like leftovers from day before. The rice tastes dried out. Curry shrimp that taste nothing like curry. The food just isn’t hitting like it used to though the price is definitely hitting the pockets $55.65 for two trays off food thats not worth it. Trust me save your money and go elsewhere.

As a New Yorker i can genuinely say this has been by far my worst restaurant experience ever and by saying worse I’m still cutting it short. From the staff to th food it was horrible, i tried giving them a benefit of the doubt because i understand how complicated a language barrier can be, however that didn’t help either… to think that the food has a certain price that changed drastically the moment the cashier realized i had one shrimp in my plate literally one fried shrimp, no signs to specify that when you add shrimp in your meal your price drastically changed i do not recommend this place at all

I walked into the restaurant, put together a plate of Mac and cheese, a piece of fried chicken, 2 slices of potato and 3 small pieces of oxtail. The cashier overcharged me, labeling the meal as oxtail at 12.99 per pound, 2.155 lbs. They don't actually charge you by the contents of your plate, they charge you by the most expensive meat in your plate, so they can get as much money out of you as possible. I ended up with a $30 charge, for a plate that wasnt even full. It's dishonest to say the least, and their behavior has ensured that I'll never be back.

1st off how do they have a general buffet charge but when you get to the counter they charge you depending on the meat. Than that means there is no general buffet because each meat weighs out to be a different price. 2. Why did I watch the female cashier try to charge a dude for 2 fried shrimp separate from his meal. Are you serious it was t oxtail it wasn't salmon so what are we doing? The food is ok not the best and the attitudes is ridiculous.

Then she goes "oh there is oxtails, thats a different price". I go okay, whats the new price? $67!!!!!!. I told her if that was the case, there should be a sign on the oxtails because paying an additional $30 or more 2 pieces of oxtail on each plate is ridiculous. She points to the menu on the side of the wall and tells me what I can do is take the oxtail out of the plate and put it in a separate container and she can weight that separately. Mind you, they gave me no fork or anything to do this and just expected me to use the utensil from the buffet where others serve themselves. I go to do this then someone starts yelling at me about a glove. I left the food there. There is zero need for a buffet to be this much money, this complex and this stressful. Why are you charging people as if they are buying an entire plate of one meat. They need to have signs over which foods cost more than the average buffet price and this NEEDS to be over the item itself. Just stay away or go to a chinese buffet. At least its truly all you can eat for 1 set price. Go to Mannas their prices aint like this and there wont be a loud ass conversation between the staff on the floor.

The food was okay. I think that the workers could be a bit more transparent when it comes to pricing and what they want for you to do. I purchased food for my mom and it came up to about $45, twice as much as it would be because of a few pieces of oxtails. They said that they charge double the price if oxtails are added (it can be like one oxtail and they'll still overcharge you). Nowhere is this mentioned in the restaurant. What's more, a staff member rudely told my mom to wear gloves that they were supplying but the gloves were far away on the other side of the buffet table rather than being near the entrance. I don't understand why they would place the gloves as far away as possible and expect customers to automatically know to put them on, and again, there was no sign even saying this.

I love their food on 3rd Ave 149th st location...but the customer service is TRASH and deplorable!!!! The ladies in there are RUDE makes me not want to come in there ever again. Like why have a job dealing with customers and you don't wanna deal with them they don't even greet you say bye hello thanks for shopping we hope to see you again.... NOTHING.... Like I really just paid $25 for breakfast and felt like I wasn't supposed to be there lol .... I almost cursed them out but I said I'll just write a review on how horrible their presence and customer service was .... Simple professional clap back ...get together in there ladies .... So if you're looking for good food with much attitude come here

I've been going to this establishment since it opened, food is great the place is clean..... MY ONLY ISSUE IS THE RUDE AND NASTY CASHIER NOT CASHIERS BUT THIS ONE PARTICULAR CASHIER ENTIRE DEMEANOR IS DISGUSTING! I'VE HAD TWO ENCOUNTERS WITH THIS SAME PERSON MONTHS APART AND JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME JUST PURE UNPROFESSIONAL. MY FIRST ENCOUNTER SHE ACCUSED ME OF HIDING OXTAILS UNDER MY CURRY GOAT! I SAID OH NO SHE SAID AM I SURE! THE NERVE. The only thing i buy is curry goat but today when I asked a simple question I did not deserve the service I received I've spent hundreds in this place.... Never again and there is never no manager available.

So this is what they do… if you have 5 pounds of food (meat, rice, Mac and cheese), they charge you by the weight of the most expensive thing on ur plate… so if u have 1 pound of meat (the most expensive item), they’ll charge you 5 pounds of meat going by the weight of your whole plate… so basically it’s a scam. I literally paid 30$ for some Mac and cheese and literally 2 CHICKEN WINGS… why??.. the Mac and cheese is heavier but cheaper so why did they charge me for the whole weight worth of chicken??… if they don’t fix this quick, they are going to loose their business.., it’s ridiculous… this was literally 30$… like c’mon… seriously??!!! I had less than a .5 pound of chicken and I got charged for 2.78 pounds… WOW!!!😂😂… I wonder how long they’ll get away with this…

Decided to try this place because it’s listed as an All You Can Eat Buffet restaurant but was extremely disappointed finding out AFTERWARDS I had to get my plate weighed so they’d be able to charge me a price but still insisting they were an all you can eat buffet which is conflicting. Nonetheless I had already piled on some fried chicken although they looked like thin strips to only find out they were fried fish and not fried chicken as the display sign stated so was forced to eat fish disguised as chicken which isn’t fun. To top it off their few drink selections were very expensive. I’ve included my receipt to WARN OTHERS THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS NOT AN ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET and THEIR PRICES ARE WAY TO HIGH. You’re better off going down the block to a real all you can eat buffet called Merryland.

They accuse people of stealing here. Made me very uncomfortable. Do not recommend coming.

Ok so I love this place and buy from There all the time recently yesterday I buy two large platters was like 50$ nothing crazy wasn’t fully pack today I went and money wasn’t right I got two small ,my bill was 40 make this make sense please !!!!

This place is horrible. The manager attitude sucks. I was there this morning around 11 30AM and she complained about paper tissues to clean my hands after I purchased food. Smh, they need to let her go BB ugly. 🤔😞

The workers in this restaurant are incredibly rude and disrespectful, especially the security guard. I was serving myself when a woman approached me to refill the nearly empty fried chicken. As I was trying to get my food, she pushed a cart loaded with fry chicken right next to me without warning or saying excuse! Even though she recognized I’m pregnant, she was incredibly inconsiderate. When I moved away from her, she looked at me and sucked her tooth. I couldn’t believe how rude and thoughtless she was. I exclaimed, “I don’t understand why people are so rude and inconsiderate!” The security guard responded by saying, “You’re right, the light is locked off in here, and everyone is dark. He then proceed to ask the cashier to confirm that and said it’s best you get out.” They have no regard for people’s safety.

I never had any complaints about the food up until yesterday. As I was eating there was long hair mixed in the cabbage at that point I was disgusted... I know of them wearing hair nets then again idk what took place yesterday or maybe it is the customers leaning all over the food that is out in the open.. I am a regular customer there and last night was a turn off to experience that was just gross. there goes my money down the drain couldn't even enjoy the food.

I complained about the cold food containers that people have to use for hot foods. The containers for food delivery and in store purchases are different. I asked for one of the plastic containers used for food delivery because I am heath conscious and concerned about the others containers and plastic getting into my food easily. I inquiry at the counter from the cashier if I can get the plastic containers used for delivery and I was told rudely NO. I also told the server that the container that people have to use are for cold items. I told her I was going to post the containers on line and she rudely told me to go ahead.

Got thee rasta pasta with shrimp today and was puking within 45 minutes of eating this. The sad part is that i grew up with the founder of this companies niece, Tulie and even ate at the first golden crust. Ive pretty much eating GC my whole life and for a location thats sooo close in proximity to the corporate office, this place absolutely SUCKS. Second time eating here and being completely let down. Sad....

Considering that your beef patties are among your signature items and bestsellers, the experience was disappointing and fell short of the standard I would expect.

Skinny black kid as a cashier is very rude! Shouted at me because the scale wasn’t reset correctly. The buffet is a terrible idea with people on their phones talking over the food. And the customers picking the meat off the bones of all the meats. Never seen anything so diabolically ravaged like vultures. My gravy plate came out to $30. I just walked out after the kid shouted at me. BANKRUPTCY!

On Monday 05/19/25, I ordered a small white rice w/ curry chicken. When I opened the container to start eating at 5:55 pm, there was a deceased fly on top of my curry chicken. I’ve always ordered from this location through uber eats. My mom thinks an employee placed it there on purpose or is trying to get a manager in trouble. I’ve had hair in my food before from various locations, but never a bug. Truly distasteful & definitely won’t be eating from here anymore.

I am a frequent customer at this establishment as I live nearby, but unfortunately, I had a small disagreement with the cashier regarding the contents of my meal. I explained to her that I did not have any oxtails on my plate and that I only had a small amount of gravy because I prefer moist rice. However, she scrutinized my plate for a couple of minutes and then pointed directly at the jerk chicken, asking me what it was. I was left wondering if she was slow, blind, or blatantly playing in my face. Not only did she imply that I was lying, but she also insinuated that I was poor. This has never happened to me before at any restaurant, and it is quite perplexing. While oxtails may be important to her, they hold no significance to me. As an American born and raised here, I believe that this is just food we are discussing, and it should not be taken so seriously. If I had oxtails, there would be no need to hide them. Interrogating me over oxtails is surreal. This is how small situations escalate. I’m so disgusted with her customer service, I don’t think I’ll be back. Please please do better!!!!
