12 Chairs is always a vibe! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. One of my go-to spots in the neighborhood for a fun night out! Arayes might be my favorite dish there, love the falafel hummus, the fluffy pita and the Baladi eggplant. 🙌🏻

Nice place with Tel Aviv atmosphere! Bartender was nice suggesting the right dishes. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Will come back next time!

Amazing place for shared plates! Everything was delicious. Lamb burger is incredible. For the small plates, the tahini & falafel, beet salad, tabouli and tomatoes & cucumbers were my favorite! Pierogis were also so good!!

EXCELLENT FOOD!! Cocktails kind of pricey, but the food was fairly priced! The hummus was so damn good!!

I did not rate atmosphere bc I have only ordered delivery from them. The smoked salmon sandwich is perfect for those who do not like a ton of cream cheese or onions. It has just the right amount of everything for me. The portion is just right and does not cause carb coma afterward. Their Pita Sabich is my other favorite.

L
Lera Korytska

Love their food, generous portions, everything is fresh and delicious. Big variety of choice on the menu. Lovely place for a brunch. Get there early on weekends, if you get there at 11am you have choice of tables, but at 1pm you would already wait for about half an hour to be seated.

Israeli good @12chairscafe never disappoints. Sammy’s kebabs were so yummy - lamb kebabs over pita. The Brie sandwich with chicken schnitzel and an Israeli salad on the side looked delicious too. Don’t forget the drinks - like these Revolving Chairs with tequila, mezcal, lime, and basil

Decided to stop into 12 Chairs Cafè for some good food. They did not disappoint and the service was great. The hummus is incredible ! And that freshly squeezed Orange Juice was amazing.

The service is good and fast. The food is delicious. The hummus and pita schnitzel are delicious. Very good flavor and portion size. The price is reasonable.

The atmosphere and food was amazing in here. The staff weren't the friendliest but it was quite busy so I think that might have contributed to it. Id recommend going here with a big group and order lots of dishes to share.

The sabich and the roasted eggplant are to die for.

Best hummus I've ever had, fresh bread was sensional. Excellent bloody Mary's Update: came a yeat later and just as good!

Exceptionally tasty dishes, we got the ‘four small plates’ and each portion was divine! The pita is so soft and delish. Great value for money, service is friendly and patient and the vibe is really chill yet vibrant. We will be back to this gem!

Eat here, not Sunday in Brooklyn. Tasty, fresh home cooked food. Friendly, attentive wait staff. Great atmosphere. Best latkes ever!! Fun bar menu too. So much better than the overly hip, overpriced place next door with a long wait and snooty attitude.

This restaurant has just became one of my favorite spots in Williamsburg! Authentic atmosphere, friendly service, and the food is delicious but of most of all: Flavour is 100% reliable to the source! For a moment I thought I'm in Tel Aviv 😅 this place deserves each one of the 5 stars and I would have added another one if I could. Highly recommended!!

I had a wonderful time at 12 Chairs with my family this past Wednesday. The ambiance and food are lovely. The maitre d, Nora, was warm and inviting. We will absolutely return.

My lady and I come here often and it’s always the same wonderful experience. The meat hummus is always a dish we order! Tried half the menu and all great choices.

Just popped in for a quick dinner shortly before close. This place has an amazing reputation and is easy to see why. Atmosphere great! Groups of friends and a cozy first date. Service was great, despite arriving near to closing time the staff was friendly and not pushing us out. The food was delicious. The burger came in a pita which was different, but super tasty and filling. Too many fries to finish eating. My friend raved about the stuffed cabbage. All around great, will come again soon

This place seriously crushes. First of all, the pita. It’s just so damn fluffy and apparently is shipped right from Israel. The hummus is also super delish as is the shakshuka. If you wanna go here though we def recommend going on a weekday. Heading there on the weekend is good if all you wanna do is smell the food from the sidewalk.

the spreads are very good as you'd expect, cool vibes.

Really good Israeli food! I am Israeli and it is almost impossible to find Israeli restaurants that I would visit if they were in Israel. Not this place: the pita was warm and fluffy just like good places in Israel, the hummus has a tahini taste as it should have, the tabulah was good as well. The waiters were kind and the vibe fits the food really well. Overall very satisfied!

This place is amazing. From the minute we walk into the door we were greeted by very friendly, attentive and warm staff. (OSCAR , he is so nice) ✅ We felt like we were in a restaurant in Israel. The decor is very minimal but depicts the essence of the Israeli culture. ✅ We had the most delicious food, everything was mouthwatering. What We ordered: 🥤🥤Freshly Squeezed Mint Lemonade . APPETIZERS : 🍴Labaneh (Traditional yogurt cheese, olive oil and za'atar) 🍴Babaganoush (Grilled Eggplant mixed w/garlic and aioli) 🍴 Falafel & Tahini (Falafel served on tomato tahini garlic and parsley) 🍴Israeli Pickles (Traditional cures cucumbers, olives and peppers) ENTREES 🍔 12 Chairs Lamburger (Without the bread) 🍽 Stuffed Cabbage (Delicious) uff! I Highly recommend this place, nice ambience and reasonable prices!

This restaurant is home to the best hummus I’ve had in NYC (and I’ve had a lot of hummus in the city). The salmon omelette and shakshuka were both incredible as well! Very tempted to back soon to try their French toast or blueberry pancakes which looked delicious.

A
Aja Brandman

The hummus with mushroom + onions is probably the highlight. It’s a creamy whipped hummus topped with perfectly sautéed mushrooms and onions; can’t go wrong. The pita is also nice and fluffy. The shouk salad was light and refreshing with two large chunks of fresh feta. Went there for dinner on a Tuesday and didn’t have any problems getting a seat inside.

Love it place so much. The stuffed cabbage and chicken soup is so delicious, reminds me of home. Highly recommend that place if you are looking for something really tasty.

We had a lovely time at 12 chairs cafe in Brooklyn despite the terrible weather. Very accommodating lady at the door who seemed to be the manager. Attentive service and great food overall. Hummus is always a hit as well as the areyes. Food came out quit and the cocktails were delicious especially the cucumber one. Will be back !

Delicious Israeli food, many wonderful options and a lovely service. We ordered the tahini and falafel, jachnun (weekend special), and the Israeli breakfast with shakshuka. We came here on a Saturday and it was super busy, the music inside was a bit loud so we sat outside but I definitely recommend booking a table ahead of time. The food was delicious and included a wide variety of Israeli food. I was pleasantly surprised to see jachnun on the menu and i definitely recommend trying it if you haven’t before! It was vegetarian friendly. The staff was also kind and friendly. Prices were also good. Overall wonderful experience, I’ll be back :)

Awesome food, extensive menu, portions are perfect for sharing. It’s a popular spot so expect wait times/occasional crowding but so worth it Honorable mention is the chicken schnitzel, NEVER skip it😍

One of the best middle eastern restaurants I’ve been for brunch. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is amazing. My to-go-to when hangover. Love love love

First time here. Our nephew visits this establishment all of the time and brought us here. This is the first time I have eaten Israeli food and I really enjoyed it. My wife and I had the smoked salmon scramble. I don't know what my nephew ate though, but it was good too! It may have been chicken shakshuka. They have covered outside seating and bartop seating as well. It was a cute and cozy place to eat.

Everything from the food to the service, the vibe to the experience, is over the top fantastic here! While NYC has always been home of the best food in nearly every category, I've always been enamored with Mike Solomonov's Israeli empire in Philly. 12 chairs brings this and more right home to Brooklyn! The hummus is excellent, the variety and creativity of the cuisine is fantastic, the flavors transport you to tel-aviv. Overall, a smash hit! Go for brunch lunch and dinner!!!

I lived in Israel, and this is easily one of the best—if not the best—Israeli meals I’ve had outside of Israel. I’ll definitely be coming back! The restaurant has a lovely decor, creating a great atmosphere. We went for Saturday lunch, so the place was packed, making it a bit difficult to move around, especially with a baby. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed, so the service wasn’t quite what we expected, but overall, the amazing food and ambiance made up for it.

J

Beautiful spot with a great light brunch. Perfect if you aren’t hungover and just want to have a great meal. The Israeli breakfast option is a must have. The bread and condiments are great and are super fresh. They had fresh grapefruit juice and orange juice. Love this place

So, as you can see, the food is very delicious 😂🤌🏼 Plates are empty and I forgot to take a picture. But besides food, the service is excellent 👌🏼 I can’t say more. Simply excellent 👌🏼 Bartenders are really attentive to a customers, they really satisfied me, and I am picky and strict, and they cute. 😂 So very well done 👍🏼 I will definitely and highly recommend this place. Yes. Thank you 🫶🏻

We had made reservation for a table for four on a Saturday night, and this place was absolutely packed. We got our table after waiting for 5-7 minutes and got started with service right away. Fairly attentive servers came within a minute or two to get our beverage order. I wasn't aware they did not have any IPA's (or beer in general) on tap, but the IPA they did have in bottle was decent enough. We ordered a few things which included Hummus Mushrooms & Onions ($15), Hummus Falafel ($16), and Cauliflower ($15) - all were absolutely tasty! Food arrived within 20 minutes of ordering. Friendly staff and great ambiance in general. Will visit again for their excellent food!

We reached Reached around 6 pm and the place was Had a few tables occupied. We made the reservation through Resy and were seated inside. Our server was amazing and helped us with the order. Mint water was a bonus. From Hamus to falafel to kebabs, every dish was flavorful and delicious. We asked for more pita bread as the dips were large portions. The vibe is very Israeli with noted road names and street lamps. They do have desert here which we will try next time we visit.

The French toast was the best hands down and served with a omelette was a fresh salad with cucumbers and tomatoes was Delicious. Their style aesthetics is very modern and great seating indoor and out. It is definitely great to stop by and they have very friendly and attentive workers.

Amazing brunch at 12 chairs cafe. We got seated right away ( just walk ins ) Saturday lunch. The place was packed and we were scared we won’t be able to get a seat right away but someone just left so that’s why we got a seat. Anyways food is amazing!! Here’s what we got. French Toast - but I added scramble egg and bacon on the side. The toast is so good and the fruits is freshly cut and super sweet. I definitely recommend it if you’re craving for something sweet for brunch or late lunch. Great portion. Pancakes with blue berries - Great portion of pancakes and fruits. Super tasty and fluffy pancakes. 10/10 would recommend this place.

Authentic Israeli Flavors. Absolutely Delicious and Fairly Priced. We sat down at 12 Chairs Cafe and were blown away by how authentic everything felt. Not just “Israeli inspired” but truly Israeli food, done right. Every single dish we ordered was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The service was warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Unlike many places that try to imitate Israeli cuisine, this restaurant delivers with honesty and heart. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, the balance in the seasoning, and the love in every bite. Prices were very reasonable, especially for New York. Great value for the quality and experience. Highly recommended. An authentic Israeli culinary experience in the heart of New York.

Before you walk in please know this place is not cheap. Also if you have never been to Israel or have no understanding of the Israeli mindset you will think the staff here is rude. I suggest you google the word sabra for a better understanding. Beyond that the food here is excellent. Some of the best hummus in the city. Overall we had a very nice experience here.

First and the most the staff were super friendly and welcoming in this cozy Israeli restaurant. Seen in the pictures are Arayes, grilled pita stuffed with ground lamb, and Lamb kebab served with tahini sauce. If you like lamb taste, this is the best of it! We also got babaganush and falafel which are served with hot pita, both were really good!

Last Sunday we were walking around Williamsburg and suddenly we have seen some falafel on a plate of a couple and we didn’t have a doubt, we had to stop and try some! Absolutely amazing experience! Best falafel and hummus we had in a long time. Thank you Aviv to be our lovely waiter and to look after us in a professional and friendly way. We strongly recommend this place.

As a Chef, I'm deeply impressed with the kitchen, service & ambiance of this place.. amazing Tel Aviv vibe .. minor detail was the rushed sending of the second course when the table was still eating the first course (patience is key) otherwise amazing & will definitely return for more Keep being awesome guys, Chef Jacques Behar

We did take out and we're close by. So the food arrived fresh. And it was amazing. The lamb burger was juicy and had great spices and flavor. Hummus, bread. Cauliflower and salad was awesome. I can't imagine how good the in restaurant food is but I plan to try!! Hummus had such an interesting flavor. !

Let's review the highlights: 1) outdoor dining available 2) hand sanitizer provided at tables 3) all staff required to wear masks 4) Great Breakfast/ Coffee spot I was looking for a quiet place to escape the heat. I happened upon this lovely establishment while walking to work. The place as outdoor dining tents on the street as well as sidewalk tables. The dining silverware was already placed on the staff table but they were cool about replacing with fresh forks and knives and providing hot water to sanitize. I ordered the french toast with fresh fruit and my companion ordered the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. THAT BACON The french toast is thick slices but definitely soft and tasty. The fresh fruit side was strawberries, blueberries, oranges, and bananas. I enjoyed my meal and was stuffed but the bacon came out and the aroma alone had my tail wagging. I wish I had more room to add another order. The blueberry pancakes reminded me of souffle pancakes when they arrived. The pancakes are great. The blueberry pancakes tasted like they had a pinch of lemon zest. I really enjoyed the bite I was able to snag. The server and wait staff are awesome. I received compliments and smiles the whole time I was there. I feel like i just meet my best friends. Overall I would definitely visit again. I am glad i discovered this neighborhood staple.

Centrally situated in Williamsburg and a really cosy Israeli cafe with inside and outside patio seating (covered and heated). The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered 4 small plates - babaganoush, falafel in tahina sauce, Labneh and Matboucha (tomato and garlic with hot green peppers) which came with fluffy Pitta. Arayes was a lamb main. The staff were super hospitable and attentive. The main took long to come out but the staff more than made up for it by giving us a complimentary hummus and pitta and half off the main dish. Definitely recommend this place.

Couldn't get a table at the SoHo location, so we made the trek from Manhattan to try 12 Chairs - and WOW, what a decision that turned out to be! This place absolutely exceeded every expectation. We ordered the tabouli, beets salad, hummus with meat, arayes, and sea bream a la plancha, and every single dish was phenomenal. The tabouli was fresh and perfectly seasoned, the beets salad had incredible depth of flavor, and that hummus with meat was next level - rich, creamy, and satisfying. The arayes were crispy and flavorful, but the real star was the sea bream a la plancha - cooked to absolute perfection with a beautiful char and tender, flaky interior. What I loved most is how healthy everything felt without sacrificing any flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients and prepare everything with care. The flavors were vibrant, authentic, and incredibly satisfying. The journey from Manhattan was 100% worth it - this is the kind of meal that reminds you why great food is worth traveling for. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional Mediterranean cuisine!

It was our first time at 12 Chairs in Williamsburg and we really liked it. We sat at one of their vintage tables, which gave the place a nice casual vibe. The staff was super friendly and the service felt easygoing. We ordered the home fries, a few of the small plates, and the pelmeni. Everything tasted amazing, the presentation was on point, and the portions were a good size. Honestly, we ended up spending way less than we thought for the amount and quality of food. The wait for our dishes wasn’t long at all. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to others and a place I’d go back to.

Best Babaghannouj I have ever had and their chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes and honey mustard are rich with flavor. Their salad is also refreshing. Second time I have been to this restaurant and I love the cool vibe!

Love coming here. The food is amazing and as a Jewish girl from Brooklyn with Israel being my second home - coming here reminds me of home. I love that they have Jachnun on Saturday’s and Sunday’s here - and inside pictures of places in Israel. Come for the food and stay for the atmosphere. Friends got the Pińo׳s burger and loved it - comes with sweet potato fries along with the Pelmani - they loved it. The salads here are all amazing. And finished the meal with some Knafah for a yummy sweet dessert.

Let me tell you - the way I still think about this restaurant after 2 months…I need to come back next time I’m in New York. Such an unassuming restaurant but it’s the best Israeli food I’ve ever had. The small plates was THE way to go. The Labaneh was my favourite, but everything else followed a close second. The dishes felt so simple, but so amazing and packed with flavour and spices. I need to come back to try everything else on the menu 😭😭😭 Two of us dined for $76 after tips.

Got the 4 small plates to share, pierogies, and a chicken schnitzel. Labneh -- awesome Matcha -- served cold. Not very exciting Beets salad -- great Falefel and Tahini -- great Pierogies -- awesome. Thin and perfectly cooked Chicken schnitzel -- pretty good. Unusual taste to me. I personally prefer taziki on a sandwich. Service -- great. Everything was quick. They served us the wrong app but fixed quickly.

Went to 12 Chairs Cafe for brunch and loved it! Great selection of traditional brunch items as well as more traditional Israeli dishes. The scene and vibe is lively and energetic - could be a little loud inside depending on the time/crowd - but if you're looking for a solid meal, you won't be disappointed.

Solid Israeli food. The spreads are all a must and the falafel is perfect. Great for large groups to share and try everything.

I went to brunch with a feiend at 12 chairs on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm, the wait was about 30/40min. We ordered a spinach omelet, the burger and blueberry pancakes (so tiny ^_^) Food was good! Service was good! The place is nice.

The food was really good though it took us forever to get the dishes and we were starving. They were also mopping the floor while we were there and I’m not sure if that was because of covid precautions or if they were cleaning for the dinner shift. Overall the atmosphere was fun and food quality amazing. Service could have been better

Love their Bloody Miriam! Tried grilled chicken and lamb burger. Grilled chicken was beautiful displayed on a plate with fresh small tomatoes, pepper which gives a hint of spicy and sauce. Tasted really nice! Lamb burger was too heavy for me though

We did not have a reservation and just walked in on a Sunday morning, and the staff were helpful. We tried their brunch for the first time and loved it. Delicious Middle Eastern style breakfast/ food. It was packed and tables are small, we waited a bit for the food but it was a reasonable time for a busy Sunday. I recommend it.

I had brunch with friends here and ordered the smoked salmon sandwich which was good. The portion was decent, would have been great if they added some french fries with it or added more salad on the side. The bread was a bit tough, they could offer in different type of bread as an option but overall it was good. The music was too loud, had a hard time hearing and focusing on what friends were saying. Either was it was a good experience my first time visiting there.

Great place for breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner or anything you’d like. They have many choices and each dish is really delicious and well made. The place itself is beautiful, the staff are super nice and friendly. We were on Saturday noon and it was so loud (the music), also the price feel a bit pricey, although you’re getting a lot .

Finally made it here after moving out of the neighborhood years ago. Ha. Came for brunch with 2 girlfriends and picked our choice of their 4 small plates for $28, which was perfect! All were delicious and we had a fun spot outside where we were posted, and made friends with our waiter. I’d like to come back for true brunch and/or dinner.

Solid dips (hummus, labne) Owner/mgr(?) super nice. Went in on a Friday for my bday and took care of us. Lamb burgers and skewered chicken very tasty. If group>4 just get family style and split! Cant remember what it was but dessert was delicious as well

At 12 Chairs Cafe in Brooklyn, you'll discover a cozy gem offering delightful Middle Eastern cuisine. The warm ambiance is perfect for gathering with friends or family. The hummus and freshly baked pita bread are a must-try! While the portions might be slightly smaller for the price, the friendly staff and refreshing Israeli salad make up for it.

L

Reallyyyy good hummus and pita. I like that the hummus came with that tangy sauce inside, it is somewhat basic so that really pulls it together. Also love that it comes with the little dish of olives and pickles. I got the lentil soup which was great as well. I recommend!

Really delicious food! We dropped by for Sunday brunch and I was blown away by how good the food was here. They have the most amazing hummus that they serve with warm, fluffy pita. - Hummus w/ mushroom and onions: 6/5 (SO flavorful and smooth!) - Babaganoush: 5/5 - Falafel and tahini: 6/5 (perfectly crispy!) - Chicken schnitzel: 5/5 (delicious, tender, accompanied by perfectly salted mashed potatoes) - Shakshuka: 3/5 (tomatos were a bit tart and the egg wasn't runny) Note that they do charge extra for extra pita. They didn't mention it when we asked but we saw that they added $1.75 on the bill (for 2 pitas).

12 Chairs serving up good vibes and fresh Middle Eastern fare first thing in the morning. Arrived before 11am for early Sunday brunch and did not have any issues waiting for a seat. The servers were friendly and checked in often to see how we were doing. The hummus was divine and a definite favorite. We also ordered the arayes, shakshuka, schnitzel salad, lamb burger, and Moroccan fish. I’d highly recommend the arayes, as it was grilled to perfection and accompanied with the best spicy cherry tomato salad salad I’ve ever had. The shakshuka was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. As for the fish, I’d pass on it for next time—not what I expected and smelled extremely fishy.

I was invited here to celebrate Mother's Day with family and friends. The food is good but not really my type of place to eat at. Our waiter forget things we order to much. I can understand at times but our waiter did it 3 times. Staff seemed welcoming for a busy day of customers. Here my main reason for taking off a star. Reservations was made ahead of our time. We arrived beforehand but part of our party was running a little late. They said they need to sit us together. Fine we can wait because our guest was only 5 minutes away in a cab. They arrived and we went in. We're told our table isn't ready yet, ok we can wait a few minutes more. Extra 15 minutes later, the party sitting at our reserved table hasn't left yet. So we had to wait almost half hour pass our reservation time, that's not good. I believe if you make reservations, your table should be ready. If it's not, you should try to make it right by first apologizing and second, fix it someway. To top it off, there was a very large group that was drinking to much who was very loud talking and singing out that just made things more annoying to deal with when you're looking to just enjoy a nice brunch.

One of my favorite Israeli restaurants in Brooklyn. Their food is always 👌 perfection, When you want that homey Israeli salad, dishes wondefully spiced, flavored without being smothered in sauces-(chicken pargyot, cauliflower, falafel, dips and warm pita are some of my favorite) their menu is full of wholesome tasty food. It does get a bit loud and crowded during the weekends- as expected.

Have been to the city one but this seems to be bigger and better space wise . Food is getting pricier day by day and I don’t justify the 20 percent tip ! We are tipping for what someone make me understand cause all restaurants automatically add tip for a party of 4 or more so even if we don’t like service we are forced to give :( am taking in general about all the restaurants ! Everything was good but I found 18$ for sliced potatoes I mean really that’s a criminal waste of money ! We ordered thinking it was French fries but basically it’s sliced potatoes that you get in freezer section ! Owners need to justify the prices of these items ! It’s a good vibey very casual place and it’s near buzzing area dumbo

I was incredibly excited for shakshuka! The food was really delicious and had an abundance with the additional sides. The water glasses were really small and the volume of the music was way too loud for a breakfast meal. The staff was friendly but a little more aloof than most places.

I didn't plan to have brunch at 12 Chairs but because the place I went, was too hype and ridiculous waiting time so I decided to walk around and I found this restaurant. I'm glad I eat here, I feel like I hit a jackpot. Food is great, nice cocktail, good service. I enjoy watching bartender making some interesting cocktails and the vibe of the restaurant is so welcoming. I saw that they have a section that can fit a big group so it is good for partying too.

I love the food here!! We always start with the hummus and pita, which is so good. The pita is warm and the hummus is fresh. Many of us loved the arayes with lamb, and it was surprisingly super filling. Fish is also really good, but the chicken schnitzel is just alright, pretty standard. It’s really easy to get a reservation here but note they do enforce time limits per table when it’s busy. It’s also pretty cramped loud inside - was kinda hard to hear the people sitting across from me over the music and the other tables 2 feet away from us.

Today, I went to have breakfast with a friend, and one of the hostesses or servers touched a dog from the street, and he didn't wash his hands after it. We told the runner ( another worker) about it, and he didn't say anything about it, but he went to wash his hands.

The food fell below average during brunch and the lamb was dry overcooked while the shakshuka was not cooked all the way. Very disappointed since the first time it was very good.. I liked the chocolate mousse cause it comes with coconut flakes and pistachios.

Are you ready for the 411? Here we go…me and bae decided on this little spot for our after-church service brunch spot. Williamsburg was our choice and this little Israeli spot on the corner of Wythe and S 2nd Street! You could hear the multi-cultural music playing inside as the outside diners tapped their feet to the tunes that filtered outside. It felt energetic and inviting so we inquired on seating availability. The hostess was accommodating and was able to seat us in the almost filled cafe. I must say I am always amazed by restaurant decor and loved the NYC styled street light lighting inside the cafe. The noise level was adequate and could have a decent leveled conversation with bae during the whole meal. Now let me tell you about Dana! She was our server and initially I thought she was peppy but soon found out different. We ordered our meal which I felt was a little rushed but it was still fine at the time. I ordered the smoked salmon scrambled. It was tasty but it was a soft-scrambled which turned out to be a little too soft for my taste. I felt the softness of the eggs decreased it’s ability to enhance its overall taste. I was a little heavy handed on the salt but felt it was still lacking in taste. Bae had the French toast with scrambled eggs on the side. He loved his French toast which he said were perfectly made and not dried out yet soft enough even with the syrup added. His eggs tasted better than mine which I believe were due to the harder texture. His fresh fruit was delicious as well. The kiwi was the sweetest of all the fruits. Now let’s get back to Dana! She started out pleasant enough but was surprised when she came back to our area and asked the family next to us how they were enjoying the meal and never turned to ask us the same question. Even after I thought she would at some point she never did. She was highly attentive to the other patrons which I clearly observed as compared to us. We never got water which she said she was going to bring, I had to ask for a spoon for my tea which she brought way after the busboy finally brought it to me and brought us the check without asking if there was anything else we wanted. I wondered if she was rushing us for the table however saw couples and families that were there before us and who were still seated after we left so there goes that theory. At this point we decided to do Dana a favor and leave this establishment which she was clearly trying to make us do. I love visiting different places to eat and this is a spot I would love to come back to and try some different choices but Dana obviously did not want us to come back. We even tipped her to show her no hard feelings! For others I think it’s worth a try and see if you have better luck!

Food was great but I had the worst espresso martini I had in my life. Terrible. The food took forever to get to our table, even though we ordered small plates that should have been relatively quick to assemble, as they should mostly be premade. Also the waiter said the wrong plate names as he laid them on our table, but they were the right ones.

Nice interior, very tasty food, fast service but unfortunately the staff was just „doing the work that has to be done“. No warm welcome or at least a smile, nothing. The club music at breakfast time is way too loud, which the staff certainly likes, but can't understand that it bothers the guests when they have to shout at each other to communicate. All in all I don't understand the hype about that restaurant. The location in Manhattan is probably more ‚hygge‘. Partly recommended.

I was a fan until I received my doordash order today. I’m beyond disgusted and disturbed. There was a piece of tissue right in the middle of the “12 Chairs” salad. This is a health hazard, and reflects poorly on the level of hygiene in the food making process. I can’t fathom a reasonable explanation as to how a whole piece of tissue paper was tossed inside the plate, and got mixed with the salad’s ingredients.

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. First time coming to this location and I can easily say it was the last. I called beforehand to see if indoor seating is available without reservations and was told that yes it was, for my party of four. 15 mins later after arriving, the hostess at the door tells us indoor seating is for reservations only, then proceeds to seat us in IN A TINY, CRAMPED LITTLE CORNER PART OF THEIR "OUTDOOR SEATING". The section was awful, it's cold because it's nearly December, and the ground the table sat on was not even, the round little table felt wobbly and slanted. I settled for this in an attempt to save the night for my party and myself, but after ordering a LATTE and my boyfriend a simple coffee, I knew that I wouldn't stay another second at this place. The hostess was kind of rude regarding the seating situation, and the other staff seemed pretty careless. Our latte and cup of coffee took about 10 mins just to get to our table, the coffee was tasteless and watery, the latte was 90% foam and 10% "latte". Both cups were room temperature!! Not even warm enough and very half prepared. That was the last straw so we asked for the check, paid for the ABISMAL COFFEE and will never visit this snobby restaurant again!

1 star. Extremely disappointing experience. We made a reservation for 12 Chairs in Brooklyn and traveled nearly 30 minutes assuming everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, we found the restaurant completely closed — not a sign, not a note, nothing. Yet Google still shows it as “open” and accepts reservations. This is completely unacceptable. Who is responsible for updating this information? Why are reservations being confirmed if the place isn’t even operating? We wasted our time, made plans around this, and showed up only to find a locked door. Someone seriously needs to manage this better. This isn’t just bad service — it’s basic negligence.

I had terrible customer service , the waiter “Oscar M” took our food and drinks order . Then we were waiting for more than 20 mins , we never received the drinks . Our food came out and we were waiting for the drinks . After he took the order he never came to our table to see if we are okay or if we need something . We had to asked to the busboy “Miguel “for our drinks. We thought the Waiter “Oscar M” was busy , but the place was empty . Then when we looked to the other side and the Waiter “Oscar ” was on his phone on a table . The busboy “Miguel “ was checking the table constantly and asking if we need anything . Miguel the busybody definitely did a great job and he deserves all the tips and not someone who is just on his phone without care about the costumers . In the end the Waiter “Oscar M “ came to my table to see if we are okay after we finish our food And drinks . I been visiting this place every Saturday and now Definitely I have to remove this place from my list . The food was good can’t complain but this business need to check their system and have an communication with their waiters . Costumer service is always a important point for a BUSINESS.

TOXIC. No other word. The bottom of my eggs were black, it looked like salmon skin. Pretty sure the skillet is leaching into the food. If you want contaminated food, go here. The tahini and egg looked microwaved. My friend ordered the shashuka and the tomato sauce tasted like barilla sauce out of a jar. Will not be coming back. Shocked this place is still open. Majorly due for an inspection. Wouldn’t be surprised if they have a B rating.

So, I've been to a few 12 Chair locations and absolutely love the food. Yesterday I came for breakfast because Sunday in Brooklyn across the road was too full. 12 Chairs was pretty empty, around 10AM yesterday. We were seated pretty quick, but after about 20 minutes, a server never came around. We were sat in the back corner, away from the main room, and the table next to us was 1) seated after us, 2) got drinks ordered and delivered before us and 3) got entrees ordered and delivered before a waited had even asked if we wanted tap or bottle. I'm not really difficult or picky when it comes to eating out, I get it, but if it takes you 20 minutes to realize I'm waiting on you, then youve made a deliverate decision not to serve me. And that's when it becomes rude, and I leave

I recently placed an order with 12 Chairs Café, hoping to enjoy a variety of their menu offerings. Unfortunately, my experience was overwhelmingly disappointing. Arayes: These were extremely dry and lacked any notable seasoning. Couscous: The couscous was bland and overcooked, making it unappetizing. Vegetable Soup: The soup was devoid of flavor, tasting more like plain water with vegetables. Falafel: The falafel was dry and crumbly, without the crisp exterior and flavorful interior that one would expect. Pita: Surprisingly, the pita bread was the only highlight. However, it tasted store-bought rather than freshly made. Tahini: The tahini was overly thick and lacked the nutty richness usually associated with this sauce. Hummus: The hummus was bland and had an unappealing texture. Pierogi: These were underseasoned and had a pasty filling. Pelmeni: The pelmeni were tasteless and lacked the delicate balance of flavors typical of this dish. Shakshuka: The shakshuka was disappointing, with an underwhelming sauce that lacked depth and seasoning. Beet Salad: The beet salad was dry and flavorless. Tabouli: The tabouli was also dry and lacked the fresh, vibrant flavors typically expected. Israeli Salad: The salad was fresh but completely unseasoned, making it bland and uninteresting. Overall, the food was extremely nauseating, with an overwhelming lack of seasoning and flavor. The quality of the dishes was far below my expectations, and I find it hard to believe this establishment is still in business given the subpar culinary experience. Based on this experience, I would not recommend 12 Chairs Café and will not be returning.
