I was sad when a friend moved away to Brooklyn, but happy that she moved near this cute, delicious cake shop. The cake is always moist, the frosting thick and creamy, the slices delightfully enormous. I don't love the flavor of the Brooklyn Blackout cake, but that's more about my taste in chocolate than their execution. Everything else I've had there has been yum yum yum. Service is friendly and they're open late. What else could you want? Maybe additional locations near me :-)

Every time I find myself in Prospect Heights, I stop in to pick up slices of their amazing layer cakes. My favorite is the classic Carrot Cake, but the German Chocolate and Coconut Cloud are very good as well.

Amorina is a favorite of ours and absolutely beloved by the neighborhood and others in the know. The pizzas feature the highest quality ingredients--try the zucchini pesto or the special (AKA "Will to live" because that's what it gives you). Also go for the homemade pasta, great salads, cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Great wine and cocktails too!

We had the tricolore pizza last night and it was the best pizza we had ever had. It was accompanied by the special salad which was great. We sat outside & it made for a perfect Summer dinner. We highly recommend this neighborhood gem!

Yes yes, it is a fantastic pizza spot in the area. We ordered the Puttanesca & Capricciosa pizzas & their special salad along with two of their white wine selections. It was a delightful experience. Definitely coming back!

Perfect neighborhood Italian restaurant. The slices to go are my favorite. The vibe is perfect, great for families. Menu will take care of kids and offer some elevated pies and specials for the adults. I love Amorina and will be coming back for years !!

I really love this lovely Roman-style Italian restaurant. The pastas are delicious, especially the lasagnas and also the Spaghetti Alle Vongole (clams and clam sauce), and the pizzas are amazing. Also, try the cheesecake with cherries and orange sauce dessert, it’s stunning. I’ll be dining here often.

3.5/5 not really 4 The Brooklyn blackout cake is a bit overhyped, it was kind of dry. However the strawberry cake was pretty good. Their other options are better. Slices were huge and its a cute place with plenty of seating. Plus friendly service.

I came here 2 times after reading the reviews. I tried different cakes. I love a couple of them, such as red velvet cupcakes, original cheesecake, and key lime pie. Others are super sweet. The icing is extremely over sweet, and they will definitely give you diabetes. Like young people. The price is not cheap here but the cake tastes fresh so i don't mind about the price too much. Staff are friendly doing their job. I will come back after the overall experience.

This local pizza joint is a chill spot that grab a slice and they are even open for lunch on the weekends now. They might be known for their pizza but their baked eggs is delicious. Happy that we gambled on that dish. Staff is nice and accommodating to special circumstances.

We came here for a pizza snack and ended up with two pies, which are good sized pizzas. The white vegetarian slice with zucchini was GREAT! Our whole table loved it and it was the star of the show. The margherita pizza was a bit over done and complaints were that it was too crispy, almost burnt. Probably a mistake, would definitely come back and try other pies. Ciao!

We really enjoy the food at Amorina—always fresh and delicious, and definitely one of the better spots in Prospect Heights for Italian. Unfortunately, the service really detracts from the experience. We waited about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and throughout the meal we had to ask multiple times for basics like bread, silverware, and finally the check. The restaurant was also extremely loud, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy. We’d come back for the food, but the service needs serious improvement.

Mushrooms rigatoni was our option, tasty but a little bit dry. Waiter kind of insistent on getting orders, I think he was in a hurry… no bread for appetizer, pity and not friendly. Overall, good pasta, not amazing nor not something that will make good memories to me…

Cosy and homey Italian place in Flatbush area of Brooklyn. My friend recommended for their pasta and I was not disappointed. The waiter(though a bit slow and forgetful or maybe overwhelmed) was helpful with recommendations. The wine I selected was really crispy and a good level of dry and the pasta enjoyable. I would definitely go back!!

Ranges from okay to great, and the staff is always sweet, but opening this after paying $10 & looking forward to trying this cake was upsetting. 95% of the frosting is on the paper. The cashier/server was pleasant, but I don’t understand why she thought this was acceptable.

The bakery is very unique and cool with its unique flavors however I got multiple items from there and many of the cupcakes and cake slices were fairly dry in terms of the cake itself but the frosting was decent. The staff was nice and got our order done quick. The banana pudding cup was very good but the chocolate pudding was just okay in comparison

Spent about an hour and change waiting on some supremely mediocre italian takeout. I got a pizza which - hoped it'd be good given the wait time - was decently overcooked, wet thin crust, no structure, if that makes sense. I employed a supplementary air-fry but there wasn't much that could be done. My partner got pasta which was under-sauced, mid at best. We live in the neighborhood and plan to give this place another shot despite the rough intro, as they did claim to have someone new working, but still. You wait an hour and change for food, you hope to be taken care of. Nothing.

I placed and order on Door Dash for 2 items. The employee put my 2 items in one box. I did not want the 2 items in one box. I wanted separate boxes. Then they give the delivery man my order, no utensils, no napkins, and no bag. Unprofessional! When i go in person to Little Cupcake, I want my regular slice cake.

I have been coming here for years and for the past few months, the shop has gone down hill. The size of the cupcakes and cake slices have gone down while prices have increased by 40%. Customer service is also unfriendly and generally bothered by customers placing orders. The businesses are really taking hits with rising costs and you can see that the owners are cutting costs via quality of goods and wages for their employees. And they don't care and are unbothered by customer feedback, clearly. Sigh. (Objects are smaller than they appear)

I'm here to echo some of the other recent reviews from the past year or so. I used to LOVE this place, and always got my birthday cake here, not to mention cake and coffee throughout the year. Lately the service has gone way down, in terms of staff attitude. Additionally, the cake quality and quantity have decreased, while prices have increased. The last few times I got cake, it was a noticeably smaller slice, and sometimes not very fresh. Really really sad. Doesn't seem like the managers read these either.

Every positive bit of feedback about this place has nothing to do with the baked goods. Kudos for having vegan options, but wow, we’ve gotta step it up on flavor because EEEYUCK. 3 cupcakes, 1 chocolate chip cookie and a peanut butter bar totaling $25. All of it tasted like stale air, it was evident that the vegan goods are days old and hard. The one positive is it reminded me just how spoiled I am as a vegan in Brooklyn. Absolutely disgusting, and I mean everything. Might as well take them off the menu and start from scratch. I’m a bit confused here. I booked a 1 pm reservation on Resy for this past Saturday. We walked by 5 minutes before & 10 minutes after our reservation time. This restaurant was not open. Literally lights off, chairs up, no one inside/prepping in kitchen, and metal gate down with no sign to explain the closure. Google Maps, voicemail box and Resy app all listed that the restaurant would well open at this time. I messaged on Instagram and have not heard back.

First of all - I NEVER write bad reviews. But I had to. I could cook better in the dark with one arm. Absolutely appalling food. There was ZERO salt, raw garlic, approx 4 pieces of cheese on the entire pizza, canned beets in the salad, no dressing and unfortunately we had to ask the servers at least 2 or 3 times for anything. Also the check was wrong. Please save yourself and do not go. I feel terrible for the staff. They derve better and so does the neighborhood.

It should really be called a 99 Cents Pizza, not a restaurant. We had to wait for our pizzas for 35 minutes and when they brought it to us they were already cold. The quality of the pizza was completely off as well, and not just because they were cold but the toppings they use were bad quality. They call it roman style but of roman there was only the cardboard box they brought us the pizza with - even as we were sitting at the table. When we asked for plates they brought us small plates. Who eats pizza on small plates? In a so-called pizzeria of all places. I guess people who don't know what pizza is. Then they asked us if we wanted silverware 😩 by the time we got the silverware it was time to go home. What a night!
