Opinions de Bagel Pub Brooklyn
I'm a serious bagel snob, so trust me when I tell you this place deserves the 5 stars. Growing up in NYC, my least favorite thing is to find a place like 'Nagel's' selling bagels for $6 that have NO right being sold as a bagel in NYC. This place gets it right. Perfectly doughy and dense center, perfectly toasted exterior. I mean there are better places, Utopia Bagels in Queens is still the best bagel I've ever had - but this place IS worth it.
The bagel pub is a must stop if you are in NYC. This spot perfectly highlights what everyone talks about when it comes to the New York bagel. And from someone from Canada, it's hard to admit how good they actually are! I got a classic Bacon Egg and Cheese (with avocado) and also a special Lox bagel they had that was to die for. Absolutely recommend coming here if you've never had a New York bagel.
i love the music here i feel so at home! Never turn it down! Miguel and everyone else always take such great care of me and my friends
Absolutely loved this bagel shop!!! I got the ABC sandwich and was one of the best bagels I’ve had in nyc!!! There are so many options to come for bagels in nyc but this is a place I’d come to more then once !!! I walked from manhattan to check this place out and have no regrets! So delish!!
Zhane was so patient and kind. It really made my Saturday. Customer service like that can make such a difference! Place smelt so great and clean as well
I was visiting friends and stopped in two mornings around 9:30. By this time the morning rush had passed and there were plenty of places to sit inside First I had the ABC on an Onion bagel - I liked that one but my favorite was the Bacon and Scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel. So good! They have a great Chai as well.
One of the best bagels and at reasonable prices. So many flavors of cream cheese to choose from. If you want less cream cheese, ask for it, bc the photo is what their standard serving is. Also suggest to ask for extra toasted if you want your bagel toasted. They have a large smoothie section; the peanut butternana is one of the more indulgent but delicious ones, and at a reasonable price ($6.99 for a med)
I recently tried a bagel with scallion cream cheese and bacon lox on a toasted plain bagel, and it was absolutely fantastic! The flavors blended perfectly, and the bagel was toasted just right. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The lady at the cashier and the guy taking the order were both extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Bagel Pub on Franklin Ave is a neighborhood gem — and their Lox #1 on an egg everything bagel is absolutely to die for. I’ve tried lox bagels all over the city, and this one takes the crown. The bagel is warm, chewy, and packed with flavor, and the combo of silky lox, cream cheese, tomato, and red onion hits every single time. It’s the kind of bagel that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good life can be. The line can get long, but it moves fast — and trust me, it’s worth every minute. If you’re anywhere near Crown Heights, this is your breakfast (or lunch… or dinner) spot. Do yourself a favor and order the Lox #1. Egg everything bagel. No notes.
One of the best bagels I’ve had in the city! I had previously checked out another location in Manhattan, but this one is so much better! I don’t know if it’s due to coming in off peak and not during the morning rush, but this bagel was so much more seasoned and warm! Glad I gave Bagel Pub another shot!
She was a thicc bagel and not in the usual NYC way. This was one of the widest bagels I had ever ordered but hey, more real estate for their tofu scallion cream cheese. I did have to wait in line for about twenty minutes but it was well worth it. The service once you get up to the counter is fast (and a little chaotic). I'm down to come back again to try some of their other cream cheese flavors so for now, enjoy the tofu scallion on a toasted everything bagel.
Holyshit yum. Amazing service from Briana (apologize for potential misspelling). She was so patient, helpful and gave great service. It was her brilliance that led to us wisely adding cream cheese to our bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Omfg. I even tasted three cream cheeses. Just wow. So fresh and lovely. A must!!!
Bagel Pub always hits the spot it’s a go to on the weekend for a delicious bagel and they have tons of different options and combinations. My recent favorite too was the hot honey and pepper collab with GlowBar. I like how much character this location has and the cute seating outside.
There are a lot of choices for food up and down Franklin ave both sides of the street but the bagel pub stands out for its soft delicious bagels from raising to pumpernickel, everything and more .it gets crowded but you can order for pick up. When you walk in there is a cashier and some window seats. But you will have to walk further inside to order the food it's where the bagels are. After ordering you give your name and take a order receipt and pay at the cashier. Sometimes it's hard to hear your name so it's best to stand closer to the cashier . There are limited seating near where you order. The bagel pub opens early and close early compared to the establishments around it but it does really good business and it's no surprise why. There are also a few seats outside but be prepared to have your order to go. And enjoy!
I come to Brooklyn to help sanitation department with all the snow and I’ve been to a couple of the bagel places in the borough and this has to be the best bagel place. I’ve stopped at yet. I highly suggest anyone who’s never been there before to try it one of the best Egg and cheese on a bagel I’ve ever had👍🏻
Satisfying and popular bagel spot on Franklin, with a quick operation and long but fast moving lines. Plenty of variety in bagel and cream cheese options, nice laminated menu and meals made to order. Pastries and coffee and juices galore. Decent wife. Great place to take or send visitors.
The best, by far, bagels in Brooklyn! Lots of bagel choices and cream cheese flavors galore! My fav is the Nutella chip cream cheese on a toasted plain bagel. Great selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well. Live like a local and enter through the side door, order at the bagel counter, take your bagel ticket up front to order your drinks and pay. Then wait for your name to be called and you’re on your way! Really friendly service and nice folks to chat with. Brooklyn at its finest!
This is my favorite bagel shop. Not only are the bagels and cream cheese selections great but you can also get salads, smoothies, juices, and many more fresh options!
Awesome Bagel restaurant 🥯 !! This is the one! Man 😌 they got a pumpernickel everything bagel that is to die for! It’s so good! The whole wheat everything, regular everything , in fact I haven’t had a bad bagel here yet. They have a great exterior crust and a nice gooey & chewy inside. Not sure why they weren’t at BagelFest last year but they’d easily win if they enter! The food is amazing. The smoothies there are pretty good too. The only thing is it’s always packed and full of people. And if you’re getting any hot sandwich it can take awhile. Even calling ahead sometimes doesn’t help which makes it hard if your crunched for time in your morning. But if you have time it’s well worth it for a real NY / Brooklyn Bagel! The staff always keeps a level head amongst the chaos of orders and have been friendly on my visits. They have more spreads then I thought possible for a bagel as well! It’s a great spot with great food! Check them out! 😎 🥯
Their BEC bagel is excellent, one of the best I’ve had! The bacon & eggs were cooked perfectly. Easily the best bagels I’ve had in this area! Really nice chew, seeds on both sides, great flavor. Their smoothies are great too! Music is way too loud for my liking, so I usually get food to go. But the outdoor seating is great when the weather’s nice. I’d definitely come by more often if the music was a bit quieter & less inside!
I wanted to send a message of thanks in regards to the Crown Heights location on Franklin. Everyone is always working so hard and even tho it’s busy they are efficient and friendly. I had a lovely plain bagel with Lox and scallion cream cheese. Very good quality and delicious. I will definitely be back as these are THE BEST bagels in Brooklyn! 💚
There’s always a line and there’s a reason— delicious fresh baked bagels, pastries and more, tons of toppings, salads, sandwiches, and soups plus coffee drinks, green drinks and smoothies. This is a neighborhood institution. Service is fast and friendly.
Went at 3pm on a weekday so it was pretty dead and easy to order. The menu is massive so I needed time to decide anyway lol. They have so many varieties of cream cheese, much less sandwich combos! For my gluten-free friends, they offer a plain and everything gf bagel. I ordered the everything gf bagel and it was delicious! Would definitely go back for another bite and to try another sandwich!
This bagel shop is fantastic. The bagels are fresh and flavorful, the bagel sandwiches are excellent, and the cream cheese is amazing. The smoothies are also very good. The line can be long at times, but it moves fairly fast. The quality makes it worth the wait and I would definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area.
I wish I could do a 4.7… Bagel Pub is the only time I eat a bagel. House made products from bagels to the smoothies. Gluten free options! My only thing is way too much cream cheese for me. Might be great for others, but too much for me. If you don’t like cream cheese, ask for less. Otherwise! This place is great! Excellent breakfast or brunch. Employees are kind. Extremely busy, but there are tables outside. I ordered Fresh Lox #4 w/o jalapeños on a garlic bagel. Peanut butter banana smoothie. Soooo good!

Went 2x while visiting Brooklyn. Real NYC bagel experience. The spread selection is delectable. This place is hopping with indoor and outdoor seating. Great way to start the day!
Bagel Pub's menu is huge and the quality of the food is excellent. Be sure to order online or you will find yourself waiting a while as every meal is made to order and they are always busy!

Excellent lox sandwich#1! Gotta work on double espresso. Do you use a dark roast robusta/arabica bean?
it’s the bagel pub, it’s delicious. the bagels taste fresh and homemade, the schmears are flavorful (and huge). i’ve tried the lox and chive cream cheese, and the everything, garlic, and seasame bagels. all great. i’ve never been able to finish a whole bagel though, it’s very filling. also the coffee has been a bit hit and miss for me, so i usually get it across the street at crown heights cafe. i’ve heard the chai latte is good though, i should try it when the weather cools down a bit. overall the best bagels in our neighborhood by far! (bonus points for spelling my name right lol)
I recently visited the bagel pub and was generally satisfied with the experience. I ordered a bagel which was delicious, but there was a mix-up with the cream cheese. I received a completely different type than what I had requested, and these small details can significantly impact the overall experience. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and the service was impressively fast. However, the process of paying and waiting for the bagel could be improved with clearer signage. A little guidance would make the experience even more seamless. Overall, it was a good visit, but I recommend paying closer attention to order details to enhance customer satisfaction. Keep up the good work and focus on those small, yet important details!
4.3. Pretty good bagel spot with all the classics. Huge cream cheese selection and they have vegan options. Lots of drinks, smoothies, juices, and coffees etc. They also have sandwhiches, salads, and other fare like quesadillas! seating options available inside and outside. There was a line but it moves quickly.
Local bagel place that has a very large selection of spreads. I always love trying new flavors of cream cheeses so my friend and I opted for their chipotle lox cream cheese and guacamole cream cheese. To be fair, I'm not sure what just chipotle tastes like, but coupled with the lox, it just tasted salty and spicy. It was not bad, but I would not get it again. The guacamole cream cheese was pretty good though. You can definitely taste the avocado and it was a pretty good combo.
Bagels are great! You are also able to get sandwiches, burgers, salads and more. Great juice and smoothie selection! I recommend going but don't be in a rush the staff doesn't seem to care if you are there or not. A longer wait time then normal for a bagel spot but still worth going.
There was a long line when we walked by and we joined the line out of curiosity. The wait wasn’t too bad about 15 minutes, but the options were limited already on a Sunday noon. We got 2 bagels, whole wheat everything and cinnamon raisin with LOX spread and the portion of the spread was great with a decent price. The bagels were okay with no surprise and the spread was delicious.
Your typical neighborhood bagel shop — offering a huge variety of freshly baked bagels, spreads, and toppings. Fast and friendly service. The space is a bit cramped with minimal indoor seating, but there are sidewalk dining options. Overall, an affordable and satisfying stop for a quick bite
Sandwiches and wraps ordered at the counter further away from the main entrance. At the closer counter, one orders smoothies and blended or pressed juices. Clean bathroom with wallpaper imprinted with sights from Brooklyn. Bottled and can refreshments from a reach-in refrigerator. Al fresco seating is available.
Enjoyed a pumpernickel everything with garlic and herb cream cheese. The cream cheese was great and the bagel was good though I had wished it had been toasted a bit less. Also had a vanilla iced coffee which was fine overall though had a weird aftertaste. It was a relatively quick experience so I would visit again.
The overall experience was enjoyable. However, the setup for ordering a hot beverage was a bit confusing. The two lines—one for bagels and one for coffee—could use better organization. That said, the plain bagel with cream cheese was excellent. It had just the right amount of cream cheese, making it easy to eat without being messy—a genuinely pleasant eating experience. The regular coffee was also solid—smooth, not burnt, and satisfying. Seating was readily available, and it was easy to find space for a group. I’d definitely come back.

Not so sure about this place anymore. I visit at lease once a week and the staff is generally pretty rude. Plus they are now very , very overpriced-- $11 for a bagel with cream cheese and bacon.

Normally this place is great but today idk what was up with the staff. My sandwich got mixed up. I wanted a Mozzarella sandwich with no tomato. Meaning it typically comes with Mozzarella, tomato, arugula, oil, and balsamic. All I didn't want was tomato.... and I wanted it on a hero. I got a roll with Mozzarella and arugula! That's it! Dry as hell. Please hire staff that understand English and staff that are happy to work because my other complaint is some of the staff seem to either hate people or hate their job.
Definitely not my favorite bagel place in the area, but it gets the job done! Bagels are a little underwhelming but definitely nowhere near as bad as some other places. Come here in a pinch when I’m really craving a bagel.
i go to bagel pub almost every weekend. last weekend, i waited 40 minutes for two toasted bagels. not only that, but my bagel was ice cold/untoasted and uncut. the other bagel i ordered was also ice cold with a hunk of cold butter in the middle. just generally not edible, and i grabbed the bagels as soon as they were ready. i brought this up to the staff and asked for a refund, and they disagreed with me and basically told me to take a hike. i will never bring my business here again.
Good bagels and decent deli in an extremely busy location. They could EASILY get a five star review if their cashier staff wasn’t so consistently rude. I know that they feel busy and stressed, but today the cashier consistently cut me off mid-word, didn’t make eye contact, and took an extremely condescending tone totally unprovoked.
Very inconsistent with getting orders correct. They never make my latte right and half the time put the wrong items on the sandwich. When it’s correct it’s delicious but it’s frustrating to order expensive delivery and not get what you ordered.
y’all have got to get a traffic conductor in there! unnecessary chaos (at least when busy). no one knows where to stand whilst waiting and it gets congested fast. have people wait by the long table away from the counter and maybe call out by number or name, please i’m begging, my hungover brain isn’t equipped for the madness the bagels weren’t knocking these socks off is this not the bagel capitol of the world?? i’ve had better bagels for less thicc ✅ insane selection of cream cheese ✅ yummy baked goods ✅
Walk in, get in line to the left from designated entrance. Easiest to scan the menu on the wall with your phone. It was my first time at this location, you can just make your own bagel, I was under the impression that they have special sandwiches but couldn’t find it. You get your order taken by staff and they hand you a receipt to take to the counter. You order drinks or coffee at the register. I ended up waiting 10-15 minutes because someone left my bagel in the corner of the back counter and someone must have forgotten to bring it up. About 10-15 people who ordered after me got their orders first. Thankfully the lady taking orders noticed me standing around after everyone around me left. When I got home 5 minutes later, bagel was completely cold had to microwave it. My bagel was great and iced banana latte has been a long-standing favorite but this was not a good experience. Hoping it’s better next time
The food at Bagel Pub is great, but the management leaves a lot to be desired. More often than not, the order is wrong when you get home—likely because everything is still handwritten and not repeated back. Delivery is just as frustrating: orders have taken an hour to an hour and a half, and through Uber Eats they use a third-party delivery service instead of regular drivers, which only makes delays worse. It’s overpriced for a neighborhood spot in Crown Heights, and basic issues like order accuracy and delivery need serious attention. The food itself is very good, but the overall experience is unreliable.
Here’s the most important fact: they have the best bagels around. And honestly people sleep on their sandwiches, which are creative and well-constructed. But it’s a journey through a specific kind of loud, obnoxious hell going in there and you best expect to wait out your order for a bit because it’s not going to be quick.
Great place to go and get a bagel in the shop as the food is quite good. As far as delivery service is concerned - don’t do it. They list themselves on a new delivery app every other week and simply don’t have the ability to deliver in a timely manner. Is consistently 30 mins late and ice cold.
I only gave you guys a 2 because I found a long piece of hair in my drink. That's not hygienic. I don't know how to feel about this or what are the laws and regulations on this but i just wanted you guys to know. Other than that the bagel with bacon and egg was delicious and the tea was good until towards the end when this extra long piece of hair was in my cup stuck to the inside of the lid, It's not mine because I have kinky curly hair that's dyed ginger. Anyways be more careful next time guys. Mistakes do happen but this was my first time eating here and maybe my last I dont know. The customer service was outstanding and everyone was orderly and friendly. Everything looked fresh and the place eas extremely clean. Thanks 😊

Too much on the expensive side! There is seating accommodations and a variety of sandwiches. Their salmon salad is awesome and they make fresh smoothies/juices on the spot. Unhappy that they charged me a $1 for a banana, so spent $2 to feed my twins banana bc I was in a crisis :( Won't be going back!
What happened to this place! It never fails they get my order wrong! But last time was my last straw I refute to spend almost $15 on one items when it’s wrong. I asked for chop cheese they said the wait is 20 minutes I sat down waiting 30 min as I went back to the counter 30 min they said they don’t have the meat like are you kidding me??? The employees never look happy, pure attitude! And the guys making the orders are always rushing which causes them mess up! Please if you’re over charging for your stuff make sure these orders are correct and your employees make your customers feel welcomed
Beware! They like to send old stale bagels for delivery orders. I used to love and recommend when it first opened. Now I am frustrated and feel cheated. We got some bagels to share with out-of-town guests for Xmas. It was embarrassing, they were almost inedible, so stiff and dry. I heard from other friends they also encountered this with Bagel Pub delivery. You are getting a bad reputation. Stop doing this or we are all gonna go elsewhere.
Ordered Too Good To Go and store was closed when I arrived at the designated time. Person working told me manager was gone and that they weren’t able to offer me any bagels since they closed up even though they had bagels on the side bagged up. They also refused to refund me… There’s plenty of local bagel shops - go support them instead of this chain.
Giving a 2 stars because it’s noted not to put tomatoes on a salad due to ALLERGIES n yet!!! They still did! Utensils r even put in the order (non in bag) no napkins, no sauce. Food leaking. So literally no way to eat the food. Woulda took it back but unfortunately they woulda been closed by the time I made back over I regularly love getting food here for weekend brunches. Ignoring instructions - already bad service (n I don’t just say as a disgruntled customer, but a fellow worker in the food industry). Ignoring allergy notes is deplorable!
Do not order online. The bagel was good but they barely put any butter on it. Let alone it was cold, so the little butter that was there wasn't even melted. Uhhg. I wish I'd gone to the deli.

Extremely poor customer service. The staff was rude, they dont understand orders, unprofessional, and showed a clear lack of proper training. This is not a place I would recommend under any circumstances.
I came in just to grab a coffee, but the experience was frustrating from the start. As a first-time customer, the setup was really confusing—there are multiple lines and no clear signage about which lines are for what. I initially stood in the line closest to the door, but it turned out to be the wrong one. I tried asking the cashier directly in front of me for help, but she ignored me completely. I then went to the line marked “Order Here” on the opposite side of the store—still wrong. The staff member there told me I had to go back to the front register (since all I wanted was a coffee) When I returned, I found out I was supposed to be in yet another line—to the left of the first one. It would’ve been helpful if someone had simply pointed me in the right direction when I attempted to ask. When I finally got to the register, I ordered a coffee with milk and sugar, but was handed a black coffee. I being confused said I had asked for milk and sugar, and was told, “Over there,” with no further explanation. A little more clarity and friendliness would’ve gone a long way. Can’t speak to the food, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. If the staff seems frustrated by customers, maybe clearer signage or a better system could help everyone out. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.
I ordered vegetarian bagels, they gave me bagels with meat in it. And then they don’t want to refund or give a credit for the amount I spent. It is disgusting and disrespectful for a vegetarian to give meat. Even if it was by mistake, I had to go and fight for 4 days to get my 13$ or food from them, and the manager bargains to give 10$. Never ever go this store, they are bunch of people looting money.
They got both of our bagel orders wrong, I get that we came during the breakfast rush but it’s not like their food is free. Disappointing :/
Disappointed with their service and lack of quality bagels on this visit. They proud themselves on extra cream cheese and condiments but actually deliver a dunkin donuts level of bagel, overtoasted, stale, barely any cream cheese, they used to stuff it with an inch of cream cheese, cold(have to wait 30 min for a bagel....insane) and the best part is it's OVERPRICED...so you're getting ripped off to top it off. I was a customer before when they had better quality control, now staff is rude, no communication with customers on wait time, so now I rather look elsewhere for a quality bagel. ...p.s look how little cream cheese they put on a $6 bagel, insane, either lower your prices or increase your cream cheese to bagel ratio like in the advertised photos....don't get ripped off, go somewhere else!!!!
I placed an online order yesterday for a dozen bagels to take to family out of town. I set them to pick up today at 3:15 pm. When I arrived at 3:45 pm, they did not have my bagels ready and because it was the end of the day they didn’t have the bagels to fulfill my order. I asked for a full refund and they mentioned they didn’t know how to do one but that they would call me when they figured it out or I could call them back. I usually love Bagel Pub and this is the first time it’s happened but it was really frustrating that they couldn’t find any sort of resolution for me. I’ll definitely think twice about doing another pick up order in the future
Service is absolutely horrible and rude, wait time is way too long.. and they messed my order up and acted as if I didn’t order my bagel toasted and the best part get this one guys. I orders scrambled eggs with turkey bacon on a toasted bagel was charged $12.85. I couldn’t believe it. But they are doing very well the place was packed so I’m very confident they will not care about my post or ever getting my 12 again. Just as a person who has lived here for 41 years it’s crazy to me but it’s what it is..
Terrible service, overpriced and vey mid food. Barely any egg on the bacon egg and cheese that cost $10+ and it arrived cold. Nowhere to stand. Will take forever, if didn’t loose your order somehow. Saw like 3 ppl get frustrated and make a scene/leave. Don’t go there unless u have a hour in hand. It wasn’t even that busy, it’s just poorly managed. Which is surprising because 10 people are working behind the counter.
Waited over 20 mins for my order and was told someone else took it when I finally went to ask about it. Asked for a refund and they couldn’t find me in their system even though I showed them the transaction on my bank account. They offered store credit, but I don’t want to be forced to go back there, so now I’m out 20 bucks
I’ve hesitated to write this, but after three incorrect orders, I’m pretty disappointed. One time, my egg sandwich came with bacon even though I’m vegetarian. Another time, I paid $4.70 extra for avocado and it wasn’t included. Today, I ordered extra mushrooms and there were none in the sandwich. These are simple modifications, and the shop wasn’t busy. I completely understand that occasional mistakes happen, but repeated errors — especially when I’m paying extra — make it hard to justify returning. I hope this can be taken as constructive feedback.
Live down the street. Disappointed every time I come here - service is super slow, employees don’t care, messed up orders, etc. I ordered smoothie, simple- it was practically half juice… never coming back. Save your $$. Even tho I’m down the street, it worth the trek to go elsewhere. Don’t come here. And I never write reviews typically. I’m a patient person, but this place sucks.
Honestly. It’s disappointing to order the same salad from here and EVERY SINGLE SALAD WAS WRONG. I’m done. Today I ordered the SAME CESAR SALAD AND I WAS GIVEN ITALIAN DRESSING. Store was empty and I went during holiday hours. This is my last purchase. I’ll be back at opening to RETURN THAT SALAD. Sad and disappointing. I keep coming back and I get my order wrong every single time. I’m DONE!!!!’
