I've living one block from this place for a good 5 years and really regret that I didn't visit before! the food is so good! the place is cozy, quiet and well decorated, the host is very friendly. Yes the food is excellet! be prepared for a big plate and a very fair price. ABSOLUTELY recomended !
Go to no frills always good Thai food joint.
I really enjoyed my time at dinner, the waitress was helpful and patient cause I was so indecisive on what to choose to eat .....but the chicken ginger and mushroom was amazing! Definitely will be back!
Inviting and beautiful decor, warm and inviting service and absolutely beautifully plated and delicious food! Will definitely come back!!
I have been eating their food for 2 years pretty often. They deliver consistently delicious food and friendly welcome.
Great neighborhood Thai spot. I eat there frequently and it’s always great. Very friendly staff and fast delivery
The best Pad See Ew I've had in New York. Well cooked chicken, broccoli and carrots. It was also delivered so quickly and warm!
Great food and service! It’s great as take out or dining in.
Great food, welcoming staff. Be sure to order something with crispy duck. If you dine in, you'll be treated to the sounds of a Rick Astley-Pet Shop Boys-Whitney Houston-George Michael megamix.
I can only comment on the rice dishes as I’m not a noodle guy, but the Thai fried rice with chicken is absolutely elite. They are very fast and pickup is super easy. I would recommend to anyone I know.
Great Thai food, such a nice and friendly staff, very pleasant restaurant. I'll def return next time I'm in the area!
Omg!!! First time and the experience was great. Service was fast. Nice jazz playing in the background. The food was great. Came out quick. I loved my experience. Oh yeah. Make sure you try the passion fruit mojito. It's a must.
A truly great neighborhood Thai spot that hasn’t failed me for years. The panang, the pad kee mow, and Thai iced tea always satisfy
Under new management and the food is significantly better. The pad Thai is genuinely really good now. More salty-tangy then sweet like before. Service is always excellent and the prices are fair. Great spot!
My girlfriend and I went here on a quiet night. The spring rolls were hot and fresh. Panang Curry was so delicious with the rice. Of course had the iced tea also which was phenomenal. I forgot what we had for dessert but a great date night spot.
Great food. Each dish we ordered was tasty and had it's own unique flavor. Staff was friendly. There is out door seating and the dining room has big windows for easy street watching.
Beds Thai is my go to Thai spot in the area. Their food is full of flavor and nicely priced! I’ve tried the Tom kha soup, mussels and chicken lettuce wraps. All delicious. Highly recommend if you want homemade tasting Thai food.
This place is fantastic!! Delicious food, reasonable prices, really friendly employees
Ordered Tom Yum soup. A bit more sweet than others I've had. Well complimented with more shrimp than others though, so that's a stand out. Just wish cashier was more aware that ppl with medical issues are not mandated for masks. Anywho, soup was good
Delicious and not at all too salty. Ignore the haters. Seems to be popular w/the locals, lots of takeout and GrubHub peeps. A word to the wise: the Thai salad is BIG. I couldn't finish both it and my entree (duck red curry, also tasty).
One of my favorite Thai spots, food is amazing, portions are great and prices are the best part. Either dine in or delivery the food is always delicious.
It’s great Thai food and priced well
really enjoyed everything here. honestly it was the best soup i have had from a thai spot in nyc yet!! it wasn't fishy or overpowered with seasonings but had perfect sweet and spicy balance with delicious vegetables with texture. drunken noodle wasn't sweet and i hate when places do that, and the chicken krapow was top notch making me forget about the places i miss. can't wait to come back!!!
The food always hits and the lady who works there is very sweet, I mainly order take out but when I did dine it the experience was very pleasant they always decorate for holidays too which is cute
Red Curry w/ pork had a nice heat, good portion, fresh sprouts, quality pork. Duck Spring rolls, simple. Thai salad, served to share, fresh cut veggies wonderful peanut dressing on the side. Very Good!
Ordered delivery from here last week. The food was delicious and piping hot, and delivery was fast. Best crab Rangoon I’ve had in ages. Definitely a great takeout staple in the neighborhood!
Lunch Special was amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful. In the mid day sun this place sparkled. I had the Thai Fried Rice and a salad. The salad was top notch (yummy carrot ginger dressing) and the bowl of chicken fried rice was devoured - no crumbs ✨ wish I had a picture- it was just delectable.
Nice Thai restaurant. I had the basil fried rice and passion fruit mojito mocktail. The food, drink, and atmosphere were great. I would definitely recommend and plan to visit again.
I always see this spot while I'm driving. But I decided to stop by to satisfy my craving for shrimp pad Thai and mango sticky rice with coconut milk for dessert. This place far exceeded my expectations. The food was overwhelmingly satisfying. I will definitely return to Beds Thai for their outstanding flavor.
Out with my foodie family! Everyone loves their food. Pics are cashew pad Thai w/seafood, pad Thai and sautéed garlic. Everything was gobbled up, sorry.
10/10! Amazing service. You can tell the owner really cares about their business. Fast service and delicious food. I recommend the drunken noodles! So delicious. Kid friendly too
Continually blown away by how good the food is in this area, and Beds Thai is no exception. The chicken and cashew nuts was absolutely delicious, with a light batter that was lovely. The rice was also cooked perfectly. Service was (as it generally is in New York) excellent. Attentive, polite and speedy. The restaurant itself is a nice environment. It was a little quiet when we went so hard to judge atmosphere, but it was a great dinner. Very impressed.
To quote my friend, “Beds Thai makes all of the other Thai places look like Burger King.” Haha I concur. The food is the real star even though the customer service is bar none. The music is also a 10/10. I am so grateful to have found this gem. Great food. Great service. Great vibe.
Ate here 4 times for the lunch special. All in 2024. Got the salad each time 10/22: Green Curry with Pork 10/30: Ginger Sauce with Chicken 11/5: Drunken Noodle with Chicken 11/13: Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken The food is amazing! The flavors are rich and well balanced. The portion is great and food is very satiating. I feel great and healthy afterwards. The service is friendly and quick. The interior is beautifully decorated, even the bathroom. I love dining here! I'm going to keep eating here until I tried all their items!
Great Thai food. Crispy duck over rice is my fav. It was well cooked duck with sweet gravy and fermented ginger on the side. My friend got a crispy pork with Chinese broccoli. That dish was awesomely delicious too! Staff was so nice and kind but their might be busy from online and takeout order. It was understandable to wait for them a bit to get excellent service from them.
Best Thai neighbourhood in the area! New management, new chef and new recipes. We had the Fried Thai Chicken Wings, Shrimps and Chicken dumplings, Pad See Ew, Fried Rice and Crab Pad Thai and everything was delicious! Very clean spot and bathroom (which says a lot about the new management). Nice decor and vibes and Luck (the host) was super hospitable and it felt so cozy.
Very pleased to say I ordered from here today and actually did not even remember my negative experience from a few months ago. The pad Thai has made a complete 180!!! Tried the shrimp pad Thai and shrimp rolls. Got a large Thai iced tea for $4.75 which was huge, and the regular 16 oz being 3.75, probably cheapest in the area. The shrimp was properly cleaned and not over cooked as it is in most places and a very generous portion of at least 10 shrimp. Was much more saucy and flavorful today, even had a sprinkling of lemongrass which puts it above the rest. Definitely one of the better Thai experiences I’ve had in recent memory.
This place transports you on a beautiful journey from the moment you step into the door. I am surrounded by beautiful golden statues and wall art. The golden throne as you step into the resturant sets the tone. Drink: Thai tea. The way Pat served with the ambre affect. Once the straw is in the glass magic happens. Very beautiful drink, but the tastes far exceeds the visual appeal. This is hands done the best Thai tea I ever had. It has a chocolate taste to to. The shrimp spring rolls and dipping sauce amazing. The lunch special: Thai style fried rice and clear soup. My time trying clear soup super yummy and warm on a rainy day like today A must have both were very flavorful. My server Pat was very warm and inviting. Very kind, pleasant and informative of menu and specials. This lady made the Thai tea of my life. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ service, atmosphere and food
I discovered this little gem last year, and have eaten here several times. The food is delicious! And the woman at the front is friendly and attentive. The eggplant stir fry is and the garlic sauce chicken with vegetables are my favorites. As well as the steamed dumplings. As for the reviews that mention excessive salt...I've only had one instance of that experience, I promptly mentioned it to the server and a new one was prepared for me that was satisfactory and tasty.
The food, atmosphere, and service are all good. The drinks are watered down though lol that's the only issue. Not a deal breaker though, I will be back :)
Quality Thai restaurant in Bed-Stuy— with the best name! Service is always quick and friendly. Food is always delicious with a great lunch special. The interior is well-decorated and there is some quaint outdoor seating as well.
Great food tasty and well prepared. Veggies are perfectly done, crispy tofu! Great service only quibble is added gratuity without asking first. I actually would have tipped more but don't like a forced 18 percent with no warning.
Have been going to this place for years and love it, but I went and got a small tom yum soup (wasn’t informed about the price increase for the special protein which is a 50% up charge) and then when I got it home, found there to be 3 pieces of shrimp in the whole soup. Love this place, but this experience was pretty frustrating.
Nice small restaurant with outdoor seating. Faat friendly service. Food is good - not quite authentic thai (hence the 4 of 5 stars) but still tasty - one of the best in the neighborhood. Portion size is good.
I've mostly had takeout here. Slightly pricey but pretty good. I've noticed that anytime you get veggies and noodles the taste is diluted. I'm looking forward to trying more from this place.
The Pad Thai was great. The curry rice was a bit dry but still had plenty of flavour. It wasnt too much for a regular meal.
I love the fried rice, so flavorful with the cashews and pineapple 🍍. Yummy. However the Thai chicken wings are flavorful also, but too large. I like them small and they don't sell them small.
I ordered several times on door dash and was never disappointed. Finally decided to dine in and the food and service was still very good. The drunken noodles are the best I've tasted. Just don't order spicy because it's really hot!
It's a good, v standard Thai option. Def best in the general area (tho Samyang and Little Grenjai are close-ish and def a step up). My go-to is the duck salad, 2 thumbs up, even on a bad day. Please note the food quality is extremely inconsistent: in 6 years, I've never had a bad meal here, but you might have the best meal of your life or it might be mid AF.
Beds Thai is an awesome neighborhood restaurant with great cocktails, good food and a chill vibe. I ordered the spring rolls, dumplings, shumai and the pork krapow. All of the dishes were quite delicious with the exception of the pork krapow. I thought there was very little meat and it was more of a vegetable stir fry. However, the meal was still quite tasty. The service was also impeccable and they serve plum wine with a delicious floral ice cube. If you’re in the neighborhood check out Beds Thai!
Decent Thai food to say the least. Definitely a nice quick spot to grab a bite to eat. The wings were good, had a nice and sweet flavor to them. The drunken noodles were okay, not the greatest but definitely palatable. The restaurant overall is very quiet, most people from what I saw just grab takeout.
Food was okay, not amazing. However, this place has an AUTOMATIC GRATUITY OF 18% for anyone eating there regardless of party size. It's really off putting
They took away the dumpling & the spring roll from the lunch specials but raised the price. They used to offer sushi now it's only Thai food.
This is my 3rd time eating here and today I got the lunch special (M-F until 3:30pm) which was garlic chicken special that came with white rice and a soup or salad. It came out to about $10 & change. The food here is not bad. I would've gave another star however the service hasn't always been friendly towards me.
I don’t get the hype from the other reviews. Might’ve been an off day for them, but i did not have a good experience here. I got the pad Thai and it was pretty disappointing ate maybe half of it. The texture was off to me. In terms of the service, it took 15 mins to get a drink. They weren’t busy and it wasn’t booked, but the hostess rarely checked up on us. I had to ask for napkins 3 times before we finally got anything and after being there for an hour, she kept coming over to tell us they close at 10; there was an hour left. Nonetheless after this, i didn’t leave a tip and this prompted the hostess to press me about a tip. Kindly told her it’s not mandated, and that tipping is for service. Told her the service was horrible she tried to push back and i left
Ordered pickup. Rice is not fully cooked and beef is dry. Feel bad for giving one star, so I gave 2. Doing business is not easy anyway
Sometimes you want to be fair to an establishment and on a positive note the food is spectacular and you can bring a date for a cool dinner. I did not like how I was treated by the host, she was quick and dismissive
Did not taste like authentic Thai to me. Also the pad gra prow hardly had any chicken in it.
We ordered out. The spring rolls and the bag they were in was soggy, the satay chicken was under cooked and had pieces of what looked like feathers, the Jasmine rice taste like regular white rice and was full of hard pieces, the"Thai sauce" for the satay was greasy after eating a few bites we decided to toss the food which unfortunately it all left an unpleasant taste. Thai food is best when it is prcise in its spice, full in flavor as sweet or cream cooked to the right temp to bring the flavors out this food was not that. PLEASE consider modifying your recipes and paying attention to the details. Last thing putting a stapler on a damp paper bag is dangerous!
If you like even the slightest bit of seasoning, this place isn't for you. I really wanted to get back to eating at this place after taking a hiatus. Just like before I stopped the food is bland overly priced and scarce with protein. For $19 on door dash I purchased salmon and rice just to receive four small cut pieces of salmon which is $4 more and a ton of rice that has never touched Thai seasoning. I will not be back eat at your own risk.
Sub par, overpriced food and lousy customer service. I ordered the lunch special online and apparently missed some arbitrary cut off time (not mentioned during the order process) so they charged me full price and removed the add-on.
Staff members are nice but… Food is not good, my son started throwing up as soon as we got home from the restaurant. They charge my card twice They tried to get a client pay upfront without apparent reason and there was a whole argument next to us
Wow I don’t even know where to begin, food was Deplorable, my husband had the duck which literally had a bottle of salt in it. This Thai restaurant is definitely the worst. You guys give Thai food a bad name, please your chiefs need to quits… the whole establishment needs to go. I paid 80 in food to literally eat pounds of salt.
I ordered through orderbedsthai.com and the confirmation email said order would arrive in 45 min. After an hour, I called for an ETA and they said website was actually run by a 3rd party vendor, and that they’d call me back with ETA after checking with vendor. After 75 min, I called back to cancel and they replied I’d have to call vendor customer service to cancel. After one hour and 45 min, food arrived with an Uber Eats driver (I didn’t order through Uber Eats). They mentioned to just order through Seamless next time and that it would be easier, but whatever the deal is with ‘their’ website, they should fix it.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. I ordered through Uber eats and the delivery guy called from the wrong location saying he was there. I called the restaurant and they said “they don’t have my any history of my name placing an order and it’s not their problem” then they hung up. Disgusting people everywhere🤢
Please don't order the duck . I placed order through doordash for the Panang Curry duck I got a handful of duck for $20. They should be ashamed of themself for this disgraceful meal. its not worth the amount I was charged for me meal.
I wish I could give this restaurant 1 star. The food was absolutely disgusting. Please do not waste your time or money. Also the woman had the nastiest attitude. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
They were very nice as I picked up. I’m not one to usually write bad reviews about food, but my drunken noodles tasted as though they had been boiled and doused in chili oil and nothing else. Bland and flavorless. Spiciness was as right, but lacked every single other good flavor of drunken noodles. I would love a re-do when the kitchen is firing on all cylinders.
They are robbing you with no favor food. They are shorting you appetizers .charging you full price but receiving lunch special portions. This is ridiculous. 3 piece springrolls $8 4 piece dumpling $9 This is not 5th Ave !!! The food had no taste.. Sincerely:the person that paid $29 for 3 pieces of items.
Moved to the area and tried the food here twice. Both times it sucked. Meat was undercooked and the curries/dishes were bland. I thought the first time was just a bad day but I picked up the second time and saw 0 customers during dinner time. Really disappointed and will not be coming back. Update: I’ve tried this place a few times and it’s consistently been poor food.
Waiter added tip to my bill after I put 0- she went and added a 1 to Make it a $10 tip ! That’s stealing money! I’m so upset because the food was awesome but the waiter was not helpful and gave us a dirty glass with our drink in it! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!
Couldn’t sit in the preferred seat we were told there was a reservation there but no one ended up coming in to sit there. Also, be aware they include 18% tip on your bill - regardless of the number of people in your party. Food is good but recommend ordering takeout and not dining in.
My friend and I ordered takeout last night and was highly disappointed with our meals. The shrimp drunken noodle lacked flavor and the shrimp was grainy. The Ka Na Moo Krab was mediocre. The pan fried pork was mainly fat, barely any Chinese broccoli, and such a small portion of rice. We will not be ordering from here again. These spots pop up in gentrified areas and cater to the palate of the gentrifiers. Not worth the $$$, trust. Order from another place.
I paid the bill with my credit card and as I went to pay my waiter a cash tip she became aggressive and begin to demand a tip in front of the whole restaurant. The food is standard Thai food but the service is HORRIBLE, I will NEVER RETURN.
Horrible. We ordered takeout - my friend got the drunken noodle and I got pad see ew, and we both paid a little extra for "crispy chicken". Just look at the photo and tell me which brand of grocery store-bought frozen breaded chicken this could be, plopped on top of my pad see ew. This is a joke. And the whole meal tastes disgusting. Order your Thai somewhere else.
