$3 beer and pin ball. Plus they played the whole shrek 2 ost.thank you, Very cool.
One of my favorite neighborhood spots. Friendly staff, relaxing environment, good place to grab a drink or 2, or 6.
Best dive bar in Park Slope. Reasonably priced drinks, vegan-friendly food from nearby restaurant can be ordered, bartenders always great.
great staff, a fabulous backyard, perfect place to grab an affordable draft !
Really nice bar, very relaxing atmosphere, no kitchen though there is free popcorn. Huge selection of beers on tab, def a place to go !
Really enjoying the playlist. The beer selection is tasty. The crowd seems a little low-key for how much fun the joint looks.
Great beer selection and always an eclectic crowd. If you like the feel of a dive bar but without the filth, you will live this place.
Nice place, good selection of beers and a few cocktails. Offers to order food from a different place a block down the street, as they only have Pretzels and such.
Great little bar, vibes are super cute and the prices are great for the area
It's just a great bar. Good beers, Free popcorn and pinball and table top space pacman etc in the back.
Cool spot! Nice selection of draft beers and free popcorn to go along with it. Doritos seasoning for the popcorn was bomb
Best bar ever. If you love life, you’ll love this place.
Great local bar, had one of my favorites - Other Half green city ipa.
Ah, what a nice neighborhood bar. Bartenders rule, $1 popcorn, good music. Great spot!
Great bar for happy hour, popcorn, nice outdoor area
free popcorn, great outdoor space, and seemingly endless beer selection. even 21st amendment hell or high watermelon in the summer!
It smells like a dive, so dive in to a drink.(uhh even I think that's bad). With so many bars closing in the aria its nice to have a regular spot.
Good vibes and great popcorn 🍿 We will visit again for sure!
Unbeatable bartenders & free popcorn. Solid selection of craft beers from white ales to coffee porters and cocktails to match made by bartenders who get to know the regulars and treat everyone else with the same smile. There's also a chalkboard where you can buy drinks for a friend next time they come in.
Hey, good beer fair prices, free popcorn and good games. Nothing to complain about!! *Popcorn is now $1 but still a great place!
Drinks were good and the bartender was super friendly and attentive. She was very engaging with all the customers. Music was good. Good vibes!
Everyone local has been here. Free popcorn, and outdoor area and some of the strangest crowds of people gather here. It's like high school, different crowds of people all under 1 roof. They have a good kolsch on tap as well. Unforunately no food, but byomeals. Many local places will deliver there too.
Homey, warm spot with nice atmosphere. Lots of seating including outdoor, great drinks and pinball!
Very typical local Brooklyn watering hole. Dimly lit a little grungy but overall great vibes and a good time. Bonus for self serve popcorn (and seasoning to boot!) And pinball machines!
love the free popcorn and crucial air conditioning! not a wine drinker's bar, bur delicious and generous mixed drinks! I love old bay on the popcorn. nom!
Dog-friendly, free popcorn, good prices and friendly staff make this the perfect neighborhood bar. They also have a backyard, a major plus in nice weather.
Cute little dive bar with cool decor! It gave off a hip hotel vibe because of the framed posters on the walls and the red detailing is really pleasing. The drinks were great and the bartenders so personable and attentive, music was also a plus because it seemed to be a mixture rather than just one vibe. My friends and I had a blast and will definitely be coming back!
A vibe!!! Great music, friendly bartenders and barbacks. Also really appreciated the fact that they had a self serve water jug for convenience. Love.
I've always had a good experience on my visits at High Dive. Some of the best selections of beer and hard liquor a customer could wish for. I look forward to my next drink at this place. The bartender service is smooth and friendly. The surroundings is clean and promotes a secure feeling of sanitization. The signature popcorn machine is always at work which makes me love this place even more 😍
Love the popcorn and vibes here. Perfect neighborhood spot. Nice patio for casual laptop working or chats during the day. And great happy hour!
My favorite local bar! Excellent beer rotation, great bartenders, great music, best happy hour, pinball machines, and free popcorn! They also have a patio, which you can smoke on if you like. $10 minimum on credit cards.
Favorite bar in the slope! Great prices on drinks, especially during happy hour. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. The patio outside during the warmer months is excellent.
It's busy but SO FUN! Everyone is there to have a good time, so go have a good time (and check out their bangin' draft beer list)
came in to pregame a show last monday night and the dude working was a total sweetheart. Lotta good beers and liquor selection and pinball!
A bar that will solve your evening until late (and by now in the city it's not easy). The staff is so nice and the drink offerings are practically boundless. Great place.
This bar is super cozy when it's cold and wonderfully breezy in warm weather with the doors open. Fantastic bar tenders, a fun selection of creative brews on tap, and great tunes round out the stellar experience. Chow down on the free popcorn and ask one of the folks behind the bar to suggest a cocktail if you're feeling like something new - each of them has their own handful of quirky creations they'll serve you if you ask nicely. If you're hungry, order in, or order one of their DUB pies, and say hello to the one or two local dogs that are always welcome in this place. A great mix of young, old, gay and straight!
One of my favorite dives. Good atmosphere. Can get crowded at certain times, but if you get a seat, it's a great place to hang. Love the popcorn option.
So much more than just a great local, where the staff is unfailingly wonderful and kind. “Cheers” wishes it could be as welcoming as this. Many thanks to the whole team, who always make me and my puppy feel right at home.
Grace went far and beyond. Her service was top notch. I was having a very bad day after quitting my job and she spoiled me. Come here! The best bar in the area.
A nearly perfect dive bar. Great drink specials, a couple of pinball machines, fresh popcorn, awesome staff. 🫡
Great local bar. Nice folks and good service.
Vibes and lighting were nice. Was pretty empty Sunday night. Bartender was really friendly.
With the name alone it stands out on the block, beautiful tree lined block, wood panels, open windows, vintage decor and delightful drinks. Let the hanging plants pull you into the breath of fresh air! I would choose the Rye, Bourbon, Mezcal and White Rum!
Bartender Jared! Thank you for welcoming us from outta town, so glad we love the same music! We love y'all's two pinball machines and your light beer. :P You were the rest of that equation minus the weirdos
They only have free popcorn but it is a 5! Bartender was amazing! Beer is great! Pinball! Great local bar! ❤️❤️❤️
Came in here last Thursday night and had the best time! Bartender was so nice and kept the drinks flowing all night. The vibe was very chill 10/10
My absolute favorite bar in Brooklyn! The usual Friday staff is the absolute best. Nate's energy is fantastic and always has us smiling. Martin is on point and always has everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. Jarred has great conversation and good style. Mind you, they all make fantastic drinks and give amazing service to old and new faces. I’m from Brooklyn, so please trust when I say, This spot is awesome! Never a dull moment at High Dive. Tip them well, buy them pizza! Because they work really hard in this bar to keep the party happy, safe and full of life!
One of my favorite bars in the neighborhood. Friendly bartenders and I always strike up a conversation w someone at the bar. Always have unique beer selection, cocktails are great but I love the negroni.
I love the weirdest staff around here especially IR.. didn’t got the end of the name 😂😂 but that’s fine everybody’s nice around here , the backyard also is nice . Wait time writing this I asked for popcorn and regret it so just enjoy the moment the IR is really weird made me came out but others are nice enjoy the moment
This bar will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ve been there for dates, drinks with friends visiting out of town, getting bottles to go from their excellent beer selection, and most recently hosting a private event for ~50 in their back room/outdoor space. The team at High Dive was amazing to work with from start to finish. They responded quickly to all communications, were really transparent when it came to pricing, and the bar staff day-of took excellent care of our guests. Multiple people commented on what a perfect venue it was and were able to enjoy everything from draft brews to high-end whiskey. Think of High Dive for your next event!
Very nice place to grab a drink no matter what time of the day. You can find board games in the back and always free popcorn. What else do you need?
Decent bar with great vibes and a nice patio. Very large space and not to divey of a bar. Bartenders are not rude but they are not nice either. Decent drinks and prices.
Just like this place for the bay window in front were yiu can sit and people watch. The court yard is small( welcome to Brooklyn) but quite great for first date
A solid choice among dive bars. Back patio and seats. Comfortable inside, though a tad loud.
Good beer selection, free popcorn, outdoor space, pinball, decent late night crowd...what else can you ask for?
Fun neighborhood bar with a great vibe. Free popcorn, great outdoor patio, and a solid beer selection. Friendly bartenders, too.
Free popcorn and relaxed vibe. Fab beer selection too! Bring a group of friends-- there's plenty of seating.
Good vibes, good people but they don't serve food though you can bring in food from outside
Relaxed place, no cocktail menu but a great beer selection. Dicey cool vibe inside
It's a lovely nice dive. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Free popcorn and love the pinball machine
Free popcorn, nice seating variety, good bartenders and actually COOL in the summer. I'm not a big Park Slope person but High Dive is a great bar to get comfortable in. Also, HOT TODDIES in the winter. Get into it.
Pinball, board games, craft beers, and free popcorn! they usually play good music, it's less crowded during the week. they also have an outside seating area as well
If I've ever had bar envy for a spot I wished could be in my neighborhood, it's High Dive. Bartenders are warm and friendly. It looks low key yet they have actual drink menus. Heaven.
Super cool spot. Friendly staff, great selection of beer, and a decently-sized space all things considered. I stop by here when I'm in the neighborhood. It's a good bar.
Nice place for a quick drink. Friendly bartenders and free popcorn. Stop by on a Wednesday for an early Birthday celebration and stayed longer than planned because of the fun conversations that ensued.
A chill, easy local bar. Brought a friend for his birthday before dinner and it was perfect for what we wanted - a quiet place to talk and have a cocktail after a long day. Neighborhood gem.
Call me old fashioned, but I really love Old Fashioned's. So when my good friend texted me saying this bar had some of the best Old Fashioned's he'd ever had, I knew I had to make a trip to Park Slope and find out. As a bar, High Dive checks off all the quintessential necessities that I look for: low light, solid music (often eclectic), a committed and regular crowd, space to move around and a free popcorn popper (!) Having sidled up to the bar, I was given pause in my quest for great Old Fashioned's when I saw the list of beers that they had on tap. Covering the entire gamut from pale ales to hearty stouts, it was everything I could stop from audibleing into a glass of hoppy goodness. Undeterred, I ordered my Old Fashioned (bourbon not whisky) and watched as the bartender got to work. Every step looked to be done with care and the final product showed - a delicious, balanced drink with a fresh orange peel and a chunky ice cube, aka heaven on Earth.
While this bar makes solid drinks, what keeps us coming back is the free popcorn covered in Old Bay. We can't help ourselves! While it's a decent walk from the Barclays Center, it's worth the trip.
I really like High Dive! They're more on the "high-end" side of dive bars though. Hahaha. I like my dives a little more divey! That said, you'll have a really cool time here. The back patio for the win! Wonderful staff for the double whammy! (New -NYS law- world rule you must order something to eat with your drinks). I'll be back! Mr. Australia, you beddeh remember me mate! The End.
The name is spot on. Great spot for a drink. Came in on an afternoon, and they opened up the front windows and back porch which made for a nice spring breeze to funnel through. The bartender was playing a nice set of jazz tunes on the stereo, and the crowd seemed like all locals. A nice selection of beers on tap. Comfy seating. I'm definitely coming back.
Decent bar in Park Slope. Pretty standard prices and offerings. There was a good amount of seating as well as a small backyard. Board games and pinball in the back. Also seems to allow dogs inside if that's your thing.
A great neighborhood bar with friendly, nice bartenders, and cheap drinks. There's free popcorn and wifi, and there's a back patio as well. On the weekends (Fridays especially), it can get a bit crowded here, but there's a fun vibe and the crowd is very easy going. A great addition to the neighborhood!
Quintessential Upscale Dive Bar in the heart of Park Slope. Good selection of beers on draft and available, friendly bar tenders, 2 pinball machines in back (often broken), and free popcorn. The back patio is nice when the weather accommodates.
Great neighborhood bar! Friendly staff. Plenty to drink. Plenty of elbow room. Games in the back. Outdoor seating in the far back. Also FREE popcorn just help yourself... and to the spices if you need want a kick to your tastebuds.
This is the neighborhood dive bar of your dreams. It's like your drinking in your best friends basement. Pinball machines (that don't work), wifi that does work, lowly lit, classic rock, free salty buttery popcorn and a huge selection of draft beers. They have wine too. The best part is you can buy your friend a drink when they're not there. They write it on the wall and they can pick it up next time they visit. Must redeem within 3 months
Nasty guy at the bar saw a fireball air plane shot bottle on our table , I had no idea it was there first off i just joined everyone, and I was accused basicly of it being mine. And our table was stared at for the remainder of our visit ... Hey dude u could have easily asked to look on my bag and saved urself the trouble of looking at us all night . I don't even drink fire ball . Other then that m the place was ok . Chill vibe . But no need for rude employees ..
Fun neighborhood bar with free popcorn. It gets a little busy and obnoxious on the weekends, but what bar doesn't? Buying your friends future drinks makes this place awesome.
I used to love this place. A really nice hangout/local bar with pinball, board games, popcorn and lots of good beer at normal Brooklyn prices (with a great happy hour) but then it started to get a little too crowded, With 2 other bars on the block I thought this place would suffer but instead it has gotten even more densely packed. I recommend High Dive - as long as it isn't Friday or Saturday night.
Great ambience and drink selection. Possibly the slowest bartenders in Brooklyn. Each time I go there (about twice a month) I always have to wait at least 10 minutes to be noticed by the bartenders, and then usually around the same amount of time to receive my drink, as they usually try to "multitask".
First time, Place is nice, however bartender (Red hair, long mohawk in a pony tail) had no idea What she’s doing, not rude at all but definitely careless. My bf asked her for a ginger ale and whiskey and a menu cocktail for me and she had no idea how to make the menu cocktail, he asked her for another menu cocktail and again she had no idea how to make it. I went up to the bar and I asked what she actually had and completely ignored me only interacted with my bf (NOT inappropriate at all either just blank face careless attitude) At the end I got something that tasted like seltzer and lemon juice and a the other drink was just plain ginger ale. If you are looking for really good drinks just go to the bar next door. This place is not worth it at all. I give it 2 stars for the vibe and set up, it’s nice! Service the worst.
Not particularly anything. Nice back patio. Inside is pleasant. Can't say it was friendly. Can't say it was unfriendly. Just nothing special. BTW popcorn no longer free or self-serve.
bartenders served my group, then accused us of being underage (we’re all 26+ grad students), and bullied us out of the bar. young girl behind the bar seemed like she wanted to engage in a fight. once they realized they were wrong they tried to gaslight the whole group rather than simply apologizing. will never be going back. wretched service
Worst experience in a bar I’ve ever had. I presented my ID with my friend and the bartender who worked on 06/17/2022 around 9:00PM WAS THE WORST. He began to interrogate me and my friend on the months we were born in and then said he didn’t want to serve us drinks because our answers weren’t up to par. I’m born and raise in New York and have never been treated this bad at a bar as I have on this night. The bartender you guys hired deserves to be fired for being so disrespectful and condescending.
Incredibly rude bartender, 20ºF outside, we’re right by the door. We close it and he runs through the floor, shouting ‘no’ slams it in front of us arguing that it’s warm inside, so we should freeze there and just ‘deal with it’
Asked for Jack, got store brand "whiskey". Had extra things charged to my tab by a bar tender which never served me. Drink prices were what ever the bar tender felt like they were that minute, had 4 of the same drink, was told 3 different prices, the corrected bill was still wrong... never again.
Bartender had to audacity to come to my table and ask for an extra tip. Said if I didn’t tip they would refuse my service. I’m not sure what establishment makes it okay to demand tips from their customers like this. One of the most disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered in my life and wouldn’t give a dime to this place after this.
Worst bartender, a guy with gray hair and beard was extremely rude. I went out with my girlfriend and her friend and gave the bartender my card for drinks. The leader in the night my girlfriend wants to buy the next round of drinks. I told her go ahead if you like to just don’t tip the bartender because my card is back there and I’ll tip the bartender at the end of the night. She went to go purchase drinks and she didn’t even order with the guy bartender, the woman bartender made the drinks and my girlfriend paid for the drinks with women and and he realized she didn’t tip screamed out saying thank you for not tipping embarrassing her. I went up to him . He said we need to teach these Europeans to tip or they have to leave and due to the fact of her not tipping, he tried to stop us from ordering more drinks Told us, we should leave
