So lucky this gem is located so close by to me. I do tattoos and piercings across the street and come here as my third spot for classic american dishes. I ordered the french onion soup and it never fails. The staff here are as local as you can get and treats everyone as vip. Best diner located in the heart of Brooklyn - good food & good vibes what more do you need.

Food is Delicious! A wide variety of dishes to choose from. Restaurant is clean. Owner and staff are so nice and courteous. Never have to wait for a cup of coffee refill. Put your own omelette always delicious fresh broccoli, avocado and onion! Silver dollar pancakes! Reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!

It was like coming home. I was there when my mother was still alive in the early 1970s when they first opened. It was my mom's favorite place to eat. I loved going there with her and the rest of my family. . Recently during COVID the owner sold the business to new owners. They reopened during the summer and l hadn't had a chance to go until recently. I was pleasantly surprised to find my favorite waitress was still there. I went with a friend and totally enjoyed my experience there. It was like a journey into my past and present all at once. I enjoyed every moment l spent there. Thanks for coming back to the neighborhood, you were sorely missed

Amazing staff, superb food, and a wonderful atmosphere. New Three Star are too modest because they should be called New Five Star Restaurant. Not to mention, affordable prices as well for amazing food! You really can't beat it! Check it out for yourself and you will definitely want to come back a second and fourth and trillionth time! Food is still good,but most likely won't be going here no more. 1.They stop breakfast special sandwich to go. 2.Had dinner here recently,food was good service was great,got the check,saw they charged me $4.00 for a ice tea!!! Really? Box of tea bags cost about $2-3.00 dollars. But if order coffee,they keep refilling your cup for free,like most dinners do. Not sure what other dinners changed for icetea,now I can see if it was $1.00-2.00,but $4.00??? No thanks. Won't be going back any time soon. Whoever made the decision to stop the breakfast sandwich special,and charge $4.00 for a ice tea is costing this place money. I can get chicken sandwich(or fish sandwich,or ham and egg.)at Chinese bakery for less for than $5.00 with a coffee. Is right next to the train station.

The food was delicious and service was great. I had a hot roast beef sandwich and fries. Since it was a lunch special, I got Manhattan clam chowder with it. I would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

The new Three Star is a big step up from the old restaurant. All new furnishings and a pleasant floor plan. It's bright and comfortable. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The morning menue has specials at very reasonable prices. The food was plentiful. Very friendly staff .

I'm so glad the restaurant is open again. I really missed it. It was a date place for me and my husband when we wanted to go out to eat together. They recently open and it was the same as we remembered. The same staff, menu, and the same taste. I missed the half sour pickles and their chickpeas and now I can go back there. Absolutely love the service too. Thank you for coming back to the neighborhood!!

Hands down the best diner meal we have had in a while. Service was also attentive and helpful. Can’t wait to come back.

Definitely a worthy diner, fairly empty for a Sunday night. Service was excellent and on-point. Prices were reasonable. Staff were very helpful. Food was pretty good.

My family and I had Thanksgiving dinner here this evening. The turkey stuffing soup and stuffed clams were delicious, but the mashed potatoes were tasteless, and instead of candied sweet potatoes they served baked sweet potatoes. The portions are nice.

This is such a great neighborhood establishment - great diner food, service, and value like always. Glad to see it's getting love as always from longtime patrons like us. While I really like the redesign and new floors, tables, etc, I wish the new owners could just get rid of that bulky/dark stone wall in the front and open the restaurant's entire facade up with larger sliding windows that can open to the street the way other establishments do (Knapp Street Pizza on Ave X). It would improve Three Star's light/air quality and attract more customers, especially if they add outdoor tables like a cafe (Anyway Cafe on Neck Rd or Shepherd Cup on Ave U).

My second visit today. Got Greek grilled chicken wrap. Some pieces did not seem like white chicken instead perhaps thigh meat. Also two bites felt rubbery like it had some fat… My second time here since it reopened. If I come back, will have vegetarian meal as I do not eat red meat or fish or opt for breakfast meal instead.

It was good to have a diner back in neighborhood. New management is good breakfast is good.

I called to order a delivery. I ordered Acapulco burger which I repeated at least twice. The old lady taking the order didn’t want to bother with the details and wrote a regular burger either cheese for me. I also ordered a phillly wrap, but for some reason that old rude lady decided to double it. Good thing I caught it in time. Stay away from this place.

Service wonderful too many choices on the menu tho.

Food was very unpleasant! I ordered a quesadilla and the chicken was a bit rubbery, the bread was very soggy , I only the inside of the quesadilla because the bread was not good from how soggy it was

The quality of the food is wildly inconsistent. One day its alright then the next its terrible. Your better off spending your money elsewhere.

Their monte Cristo sandwich is so nasty. The sandwich was dry and the bread was soggy

Came here on a Friday evening, there was one other table seated, empty restaurant, that should have been my first indicator that something isn't right. Pickles came spoiled, matzo ball soup was bland, Muffin was stale, enough said. Waiteress was fighting with women at the other table for incorrect order, manager had to get involved. Uncomfortable and food was terrible. Not the same three star that I used to love years ago.

Came in to order a Tex Mex wrap. The wrap was extremely warm lettuce and guap is hot. Rice was soggy and wet . Chicken is over cooked and tough. When I came into restaurant to raise my Concern I was approached by a rude employee. She did not listen to me trying to make it seem as if I’m lying about to quality of the food. This is not the first time I’ve came here and ate here. I’m being told that it’s a wrap it’s suppose to be soggy and overcooked . I’m not sure if it’s because of the color of my skin but I wanted to share the food that was given to me
