We ordered the pizza from this place many times but we also decided to dine in and it was amazing! You cannot reserve a table and you need to order/pay at the counter but the service is great and the pizza is phenomenal! They also have the gluten free alternative which is a great plus! Highly recommended, we are waiting for warmer nights to go back and have a proper Italian pizza right out of the oven 😻 also the desserts are great, you have to try the tiramisù and the cannoli!!! Enjoy!!!

We came to Salsa for an event, and it turned out to be the perfect spot! I thoroughly enjoyed each pizza, as they were cooked so deliciously and used very fresh ingredients. Shoutout to the friendly staff as well which topped off the whole experience making this a well rounded spot for delicious Neapolitan-style pizza!

This is our go-to pizza spot in all of NYC. We just happen to live down the block, which makes it both great for us but terrible on the waistline! If you're looking for delicious Neapolitan pizza, this is it. The owners are Italian and my husband (from Milan) can attest to the realness of this place. The pizzas are made fresh and they mix up their offerings seasonally. From a traditional margarita to something a little more sassy with Nduja, all of their pizzas are delicious. They're BYOB (that's right, folks) and their Tuesday deal of buy one pizza, get one for $5 means we're here basically every week. I <3 Salsa. (which means sauce in Italian, for those who don't know)

Definitely a top pizza spot in NYC, and imo Salsa has the best dough out of all the places - light and fluffy, perfectly charred Neopolitan style pizzas. All the toppings are amazing too. As a much appreciated bonus, they also have gluten free option that is very well made too, so everybody can enjoy a good pizza.

Delicious Neapolitan style pizza. Dough fluffy and perfectly pleasantly chewy. Flavors are great. Love eating there because they have yummy chili oil too :) might order one at a time next time so I can eat it while it’s hot fresh out the oven! Such a difference from when it’s nice and hot versus when it has time to cool down. I will definitely be back

On the typical day this is good Neapolitan pizza, and if you're lucky it can be brilliant. I've been here a number of times and its a bit inconsistent - the attached photos are the same pizza on a different day! Edit: the owner correctly points out that two are different pizzas. I guess in terms of consistency - one seemed undercooked (cheese not melted), one seemed a bit too burnt, and one just right. The pizzas are served on aluminum trays which cause them to cool quickly - it is possible the bufalina simply cooled too much.

Didn’t quite get the South American and pizza crossing. The pizza was not influenced by South American culture or cuisine. Felt a bit inauthentic. The pizza was decent and fast but my wife noticed the pizza crusts had been pre-cooked and piled up instead of being prepared fresh. It didn’t affect much and made the wait time less than three minutes but again a bit inauthentic. Not going to lie I enjoyed the mushroom pizza we ordered and would hop in for another bite. Perhaps my review will help the staff/owner create at least one menu item that would be a hybrid South American/ ny Italian style pizza.

SiMo pizza comes to mind as a bit cheaper and comparable quality, but fair point. — Got the quatro formaggi, margherita, salsa verde pizza with caramelized onions, and ramirez pizza to go. Cool concepts for Neapolitan pizza and all of them were decent, but I think the margherita was the best tasting. A bit on the pricey side all things considered (got take away).

This unassuming spot does Napoletana pizza right. Came here for dinner and ordered the napoletana pizza, ricotta bruschetta, and the pesto pasta. - the pizza (5/5): this was done right. The crust was perfectly cooked, the ingredients were well balanced (they did not skimp on anchovies like many other places), and overall it was a very good pizza. - the pesto pasta (4/5): perfectly cooked, the burrata added the extra umph. Overall a very solid dish. - ricotta bruschetta (4/5): it’s hard to go wrong with ricotta and honey. This is more of an appetizer (or possibly a dessert tbh). I thought the bread could have been a bit warmer/bigger but at $6, don’t miss this. The space is primarily for take out but there are a few tables nestled upstairs and outside. Would stick to parties less than 4. I saw they have Tuesday specials of buy 1 pizza get one for $5 so looks like I will be returning! EDIT: Apparently they have a bigger dining area next door which I didn’t see! So come one come all :)

This place has been on my list for a long time and finally got to go despite living few minutes away. The pizza is amazing but somehow didn’t have a great experience, the place was empty, the staff was playing loud latino music which didn’t super go with the overall vibe of the place, the staff was more interested in their phones, I guess it’s a good takeout spot but wouldn’t recommend dining in.

Although the service and atmosphere were absolutely 10 out of 10, I was unfortunately disappointed with the pear pizza (Pere e Miele). The pizza turned out quite wet (as seen on pic) and had a soupy texture, which made it difficult to enjoy. The pear itself was hard and lacked flavor, which didn't complement the dish as I had hoped. Will be coming back to try the other pies because they look delicious.

Unfortunately our food and drinks took forever for a small restaurant and only a couple tables occupied (especially considering we got wine). And then the wine came out two times with issues - once a dirty glass with food crust on it and next time with a fair amount of sediment in the wine. When the pizza finally came out (we got no customizations), they forgot to add pesto and a couple other ingredients the original pizza is supposed to come with. Staff looked pretty confused overall and unapologetic about the issues. The bathroom is disgusting as well. Would not go back.
