Opinions de Tacos por Favor Brooklyn
At first glance, from the outside graffiti-strewn entrance, the place seemed sketchy. But once inside, we were greeted by our wsiter Diego, who was well informed and friendly. You'll find yourself in a cozy and inviting environment. We tried the burratta with pesto served with hot pizza bread which in a word was Fantastic. Its the best burratta I've ever had. We also had a Ceasar Salad which was crisp and plentiful with plenty of Parmesean cheese. Finally, we had a specialty pizza with smoked mozzarella, fennel sausage and red onion perfectly cooked in their wood-fired brick oven at 600 degrees. This place is an oasis in the concrete Jungle of Bushwick Brooklyn.
Have been in here several times. The pizza is always great but sometimes doesn’t travel well for delivery. When we dine in I usually have the steak frites. The truffle arancini is phenomenal.
we live down the corner and it's been our to go place for years. the menu has a variety of food for different moods, we keep on ordering new items and really enjoy the culinary experience every time.
Literally my favorite restaurant. The Menu chanegs in small ways fairly regularly, so it's hard to recommend one item, but any of their risotto dishes are DEVINE. Also, the atmosphere in here is nice enough for a date, but certainly casual enough that you can come in off the street.
Food is delicious. Vibes are excellent. People are great. Bartender is on point. And I left my scarf there once and the waitress ran after me to give it back!
We found this restaurant on Google Maps and it was absolutely worth it! We started with the Truffle Arancini — really good (I personally would’ve preferred it without the mayo on top, but still tasty). Then came the PIZZA, the real reason we went! We ordered the Margherita and the Queen Mary, and both were incredible. The dough is perfectly thin, and the toppings are super fresh and flavorful. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Came here with our three kids. A few of us are dairy intolerant so we were excited to hear they had vegan cheese! We enjoyed 2 really delicious pizzas. I’m not Italian but they seemed very authentic. Everything was top notch but also affordable. Big thumbs up for this place.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I totally would! I have come many times now with different groups and everybody always loves it. The other night I came with a friend when I really wasn’t in the mood for pasta or pizza so we were going to order other items which I thought they couldn’t possibly do as well, and boy was I wrong! I truly don’t think you can order something bad here. We ordered the chicken Milanese and it tastes exactly like what my nonna used to make. I also think the meatballs are truly the best that I have ever had. How this place isn’t at the top of all the restaurant reviewers lists, I am not sure, but I am glad for now it’s a special local spot!
So they have squash blossoms ( gently fried) and it came with a lemon wedge..... so lightly fried and out of this world. I ordered Mafaldine pasta ragu..... it was a shorter papadelle pasta and so filing ... the sauce so sweet and of course I got bread but it is like a really wide faccai bread with EVOO AND I TOOK SOME HOME..... the bread and oil was a meal ..... lastly chocolate mouse delight called Navarete and it has a dollop of whip cream and sea salt ..... I am overjoyed Outdoor seating / indoor seating / at the bar this place is awesome and 3 servers and all of them equally friendly and wicked helpful
This was our second visit, first for Christmas and now for our anniversary, and it was just as memorable. The food was phenomenal—we ordered the arrancine, the pizza of the day (white sauce, pecorino, broccoli, and sausage), and the steak frites. Everything was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service top-notch. We also enjoyed a pitcher of their sangria—so refreshing! We can’t wait to come back again!
Under the radar neighborhood gem with a generous happy hour for food and beverages. The homemade pasta is perfectly al dente, the service is doting like an old friend, and the atmosphere is simple but quintessentially darling and cozy. I loved the corner booth with the great view of Broadway. The dishes and pizzas were unique, both traditional and edgy. Great experience overall!!
Wonderful food and wonderful team working here. Had such a beautiful experience. An experience that is few and far between. We had: the delicious whipped ricotta, fresh green beans, Cesar salad with fluffy Parmesan, perfectly fried eggplant, and a mouth watering risotto. Thank you so much.
For an Italian spot in bushwick, this is the place. Looks can be deceiving and this place was packed on a Friday night. The vibes reminded me of a railroads style cozy apartment with a full kitchen and pizza oven. The hustle and bustle of the kitchen staff zooming by saying ‘corner’ just added the amusement. Perfect for dinner with small group of friends to catch up. The food was great. Brussel sprouts were charred nicely with a tomato paste type sauce. The crudo was flavorful, I just wished I had a a better fish to grape ratio (a little more fish, less grapes). The pizza was great (thin crust), but didn’t taste the garlic come thru as much as we’d like. Pasta was good but the sauce was amazing. The highlight was definitely the chocolate cake with olive oil, sea salt & cream. We got it with the honey ice cream and it was not too sweet or rich, flavor pairing was divine. Staff were friendly and bathrooms were clean. There menu does change every so often, so looking to be back when it does.
One of the best pizza places in the world! Better than in Italy! We were seated near the pizza oven and could watch them bake the pizza in real time. Their spicy salami pizza was amazing as were their meatballs and salads. The service was very friendly and fast and the place filled up very fast by 7 pm.
Interesting pizza options, food arrives quickly, good desserts like the olive oil sponge cake.
Cute date night place. NOT sure why I couldnt get fresh mozzarella as an ADD ON aka I pay for it marked as a topping to the pasta that I had. My server told me she could not give it to me. Very off putting when clearly I said id pay for it. Malfadina pasta was OK at best nothing special about the sauce. Pasta, or meat combination especially for the price. Margarita was underwhelming as well for the price. Wish I just got the pizza.
This place is good, it’s popular for a reason. If it were possible I’d give it a 4.2 or 4.3. It’s not a high level fine dining restaurant and doesn’t claim to be but it does market itself gourmet. The atmosphere is great, it has a nice ambiance about it which makes it a good date spot or friend meet up. It has solid background music which isn’t too loud but loud enough to compliment the restaurant/add to the experience without taking away the ability to hold a conversation. The atmosphere was great and exceeded expectations. The service was also excellent. That said, the food met expectations but did not exceed them if that makes sense. The olives were… okay, I don’t necessarily recommend them but they are good to share between 3-4 people, now I would recommend the burrata and piquillo peppers! Those were a great snack for the group, it doesn’t come with bread but that forced us order the pizza Bianca bread which was crispy and good. Perfect for the burrata. The cacio e Pepe while good and thick… wasn’t filling. Me and a friend ordered the same dish and after felt it necessary to go to a bodega to get more food which was rather disappointing considering we both ordered it because we thought it’d be a heavier, more filling dish. It was good though, not amazing, but it was flavorful and besides not being filling enough Worth the price. The pizza was great and was shared between 2 other people whom felt it was filling enough. Overall the food met expectations but didn’t exceed them, it’s a good restaurant for a date and the food will be good, but it’s not amazing, I didn’t order the pizza which may be it’s specialty but as a place advertised as gourmet that’s what I’m going to base the rating on and it’s a solid 4, still worth going too, still great, but not excellent. I wouldn’t mind coming back someday to try some other dishes and it is a good date spot.
Ordered a draft beer and it was 25% foam, asked if I could replace the chicken in the chicken Milanese with pasta (I was really in the mood for vodka sauce but I’m vegetarian) and they said no. Pizza was soggy in the middle. Our server was very nice and the atmosphere was cozy but I won’t be back
ordered a gluten free pie with vegan cheese and it arrived completely cold, with part of the crust still clearly uncooked and the cheese still in cubes/unmelted. the rest of the food in the order was still hot, so it’s not that the pizza just cooled in transit. i threw it in the oven and the cheese fully melted/crust firmed up, but it’s ridiculous that the pizza would arrive in this state.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I received only seven ravioli, served cold, with almost no sauce and absolutely no flavor. The white pizza tasted old and was just as disappointing. Paying $63 for food of this quality felt extremely frustrating. I genuinely hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality and freshness of their dishes, because my experience was far below expectations.
