Opinions de The Less Dead Brooklyn
So, I found this new spot in East Williamsburg called “The Less Dead,” and let me tell you, it’s a total hidden gem! When you walk in, it’s got this cozy vibe with dim lights that make you feel right at home. The coolest thing? They’ve got a pool table that you can play for free! And if you’re feeling a bit hungry, they do this Ritz and cheese combo for just $10. It’s a pretty good deal. Now, let’s talk drinks. They’ve got at least five beers on tap, plus they even have some non-alcoholic options if that’s your thing. But here’s the best part: you can get a beer and a shot for just 5 bucks, and that deal lasts all day long! Oh, and they’ve got a yard too, which I bet will be awesome in the summer. Overall, “The Less Dead” is probably the best bar in this part of Brooklyn right now. It’s got everything you need for a good time – great drinks, cool vibe, and friendly staff. I’m giving it a solid 5 out of 5 stars, and I can’t wait to go back!
The perfect pre game spot, drinks are cheap the service was fast

5 dollar beer and shot need, I say more. 😆 The bartender was friendly and fun! Also they played request which this night was rock music. All in all a nice place for friends 🧡
Great local bar. I got to meet the owner Jon he was super cool and was treated like a king. Their beer and shot combo is $5. The staff was excellent and I will be back anytime I'm in the area.
This was one of the most hospitable bars I've ever been to. Summer the bartender was so sweet and accommodating. We had a great time and will definitely be back because of the very welcoming atmosphere. This is a great neighborhood bar of you live close by give it a shot.
Came in because I was in a tough time in my life, could use a round or two, and was walking by... since then, this place has absolutely ruined my entire life (for the better). so much friendly vibes. so many amazing people. perfect staff. free pool table (pool nerd) cheap drinks. vibes! I was hoping I'd never find a place to want to be, but now I'm stuck!
Love this place, reasonable prices, good pool and super friendly people :)
The Less Dead is a fantastic bar. It is on an industrial strip on Grand Street. That makes it a little hard to find a parking spot unless you don't mind walking a couple of blocks. The Less Dead is like an oasis in a desert. Once you enter, you will be greeted by the decor of an old style bar with dim lighting and lots of woodwork. There are stools to sit at the bar to the right and tables and chairs to the left. In the back are the 2 unisex restrooms and a pool table. It's a very popular pool joint. Beyond the pool table is the door to the huge yard. There are several picnic tables and a full Bocce Ball court. The staff at The Less Dead are awesome. They are all warm and friendly and very professional. TLD offers a good variety of alcoholic beverages as well as some non-alcoholic ones. Get a beer and shot combo to get the biggest bang for your buck. They have TVs. Watch a game as you enjoy good conversation and a cocktail. Vist The Less Dead if you want to check out a friendly bar off the beaten path.
A classic nyc dive bar, good basic drinks and many draft beers. There is a nice pool table and a large back yard with a boccie court! No food tho they will sell various potatoe chip bags.

Free pool, 5$ Beer and shots, Fire music, Sexy bartenders & a killer backyard with Bocce and DOG FRIENDLY

This bar is a friendly neighborhood spot with a great atmosphere. Be prepared to find some characters too
Drinks were right on point but the patio could really use some sprucing up. Sat under the overgrown grape vines, watched the rats harvest some fruit, while getting bit by mosquitoes. Bocce court needs some TLC. Inside is the place to be.

Dive bar. Got a pool table and a pinball machine. Real good prices. Labatt Blue on tap. Bocce ball court and cornhole in the back yard area. Service was great.
Surprisingly nice vibe! It wasn’t my intention to stop by here. It was around 2:30am with my friends and the original place we wanted to go to party were charging too much at the door. We didn’t think it was worth it. So we passed by this spot for a drink and the atmosphere was really cool, chill, and friendly. It was surprisingly busy at the time and we stayed until closing (4am) they have nice games in the back, strangers were friendly, love the neighborhood. Overall a calm vibe for a random Friday night
The Less Dead Bar has free pool all year, a big backyard with bocce, and it’s affordable with great beer and shot specials. Always a good time! Ask for Austin—he’s the best yet on their roster!
I actually kinda loved this bar the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because my star system includes music and I can’t even remember what music was being played in this bar, they also don’t have natural wines so that was a bummer but I will say I’ll probably be going back to this bar. The pool table situation was kind of perfect. Respectable games. The bar is not expensive at all. Very low stakes spot and you kinda have to know about it to go. It’s not a high traffic area.

Beer was good. But poor service and discriminatory vibes. Don't go there if you are Hispanic it might take a half hour just to serve you. Sad because they are in a Hispanic neighborhood.

Bit if a dump to be honest, very dark and a faint whiff of urine throughout the place, asked how much was a pint ( told 6 dollars then charged 15$ ) oh they're just taxes and stuff said the barmaid. I know unattractive bar staff have to hustle to make normal tips but this was a step too far
Walked in with a friend for drinks. Stood at the bar for 5 minutes while the bartender talked to her friends ignoring us, without even a nod of acknowledgement. No service. It was early on a Friday night. Not even busy. I just don’t get it. We would have spent money… Whatever, don’t come here.
Disappointing Experience Due to Extremely Unprofessional Ownership! I rarely leave negative reviews, but my visit to The Less Dead left me genuinely frustrated and frightened for an employee. The bar itself was awesome—interesting décor, great drink prices, and a cozy layout—but the experience was overshadowed by the owner’s extremely unprofessional behavior. He was in no position to be serving customers let alone screaming at them with his large serrated bar knife. (White male, balding, mid 50/60's with glasses and was legless drunk - I was told he was the owner or a part-owner) From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt tense. The owner was loudly arguing with a staff member behind the bar, right in front of customers, making everyone look around uncomfortably. Throughout the night, he continued waving around a huge knife while seemingly cutting the same lime for 30 minutes, interrupting conversations, and even snapping at patrons who politely asked about drink delays. At one point, he looked like he was going to attack the young lady employee who was bartending and then proceeded to accost patrons who told him to stop. It was really a poor experience and I have a pretty high tolerance for bar BS. The young lady clearly seemed stressed, which probably explains why the service felt disorganized. Our drinks took over 20 minutes, and when they arrived, the server apologized, saying they were “doing the best they could.” I genuinely felt incredibly bad for her. Our night ended at Less Dead when the only other Staff Member behind the bar walked out and our party of 15/20 people followed her shortly after. My friends and I choose to spend our money elsewhere that evening. I sincerely hope the other people involved in this bar see this review. I encourage you to check my profile. I am not someone who just leaves scathing reviews. It’s a shame, because the place itself isn’t the problem—the leadership is. A bar is only as good as the environment it creates, and with an owner acting this unprofessionally, it’s hard to enjoy the experience. That young lady should receive a raise and a massive apology from other owners. That guy is a ticking time bomb. I hope things improve for the staff and the business, but I won’t be returning unless the management makes some changes to themselves!
DO NOT GO HERE. we had an extremely frightening experience here. As soon as we walked in we witnessed the owner behind the bar screaming and harassing his bartender (who was beyond friendly to us and had amazing service). Every patron in the bar was worried for her and the owner continued his manic behavior and was screaming how he was the drunkest one in the bar. I don’t recommend supporting this owner or his behavior and treatment of his staff.

The bartender was a real piece of work. She ignored my husband when he was asking for a water and she defended herself saying that he looked like he was "going to complain" and apologized when he was a normal human. Later I wanted to turn in a lost bag I found and she ignored me for 5 minutes and finally took the bag and blew me a fake kiss.
