Not too many places are left like this in Brooklyn so I would like to not spread the word, but hey, spread love it's the brooklyn way. Perfect food, great drinks, at the perfect price, I've never been disappointed here.

This place is good and cheap! Mostly burritos and tacos but the main dishes are excellent. Try the pollo en mole. I've had the burritos before - they'll satisfy your cravings

Go-to restaurant for tacos and quesadillas. They have fantastic, homemade margaritas (none of that bottled mix). Try the fish tacos or a trio of San Jose. You won’t regret it!

Food was delicious, minus the under seasoned rice. Drinks were good as well. Not expensive and you definitely get a good amount of food for the money spent.

They have carne asada fries, which I would recommend to you if you would otherwise get nachos and you have never had them before. Xochitl if you are listening: I think that the carne asada fries would be improved with more french fries. Even if that means less toppings. It seems like toppings with some fries, instead of fries with some toppings. I could be totally alone in that opinion though.

This is one of my new favorite places! I have had the Super Taco ($4.50, fairly large but so delicious I ordered a second one!) and the guacamole and chips (I am one of those people who thinks Cilantro tastes like shaved Irish Spring, but the guacamole was delicious with a minimal effort to pick around it 😁) and the Mango margarita, which is great and tastes like they don’t skimp on the tequila! The decor is cozy, cool and cute and the guys who work here are friendly. Now that warmer weather is coming, I can’t wait to try their frozen Coladas!! Now that my Old Favorite, Tequila Flats, has closed (sob, whimper) I’m especially glad that this place is here!!!

Our go to neighborhood take out spot for delicious Mexican food during Covid. We had the chance to dine in once before the shut down, and the service was also fantastic! We have tried enchiladas, burritos, tamales, the guacamole, the delicious margaritas, the mole sauce..........truly everything has been consistently delicious! Really really great selection of food and you can't go wrong!

The food is spectacular. The cocktails are whatever, but they have a refreshing beer list to wash down the spicy salsa they serve you for free. Vegetarian friendly, and a couple vegan options. Great neighborhood restaurant.

All around Mexican restaurant with genuinely tasty tacos, nachos, only yellow rice, steak just delicious and burritos. Small but clean restaurant. The down fall, no a/c. Despite this issue is always packed. Slow service, I have only seen one maybe two people taking orders. The drinks are on point.

Ordered take out today and got the chicken mole. It was torture to wait to eat because we had to drive somewhere. It smelled so good. Chicken was very tender and the mole was A+. I was actually really surprised with the rice! It had an umami flavor that reminded me of shiitake mushrooms! It was an awesome surprise.

Such a great place! You get good food for a good price, great options no matter if you just need a snack or a proper meal. Very cool location and nice staff.

We've been ordering once a week since quarantine. This place is such a hidden gem. The food is incredible, fresh, flavorful without being over salty. I highly recommend Xochitl Taqueria, and everything on the menu that we have tried so far has been amazing.

Amazing tortilla soup. Delicious salad! I’ve only had them for delivery and they arrived on time, food was packed perfectly and was delicious.

Great bartenders & lunch specials. Food is fresh and made on the spot! Jonathan comes to keyfood daily. Bar is always stocked with fresh fruit and veggies. I live the steak fajitas. Happy hour is great. Most lunch specials are served with rice and beans. They ha e 2 tvs to watch the game.

First off....most authentic latino food i have ever had. The ambiance is great. Drinks and food were healthy portions and phenomenal. The wait staff was very attentive (and attractive). The crowd was very hip. The wait to get in was minimal. This is my new neighborhood or after work spot.

We went on two separate occasions whilst on holiday on Brooklyn. We covered quite a lot of the menu, and everything was fantastic. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Prices are great, and there is a nice beer menu.

Food and drinks were on point. Some of the best calamari I have ever had in my life!! Drinks were great. Service was fantastic.

Frequent this place often. Margaritas are always $5 and they are perfect. We usually get a torta, which is great (chicken milanesa). San Francisco fries are also delicious. I've tried he quesadilla, but didn't love it. Dishes lean spicy, but I don't mind. Staff is always friendly. Three different TVs if you'd like to watch a game.

Another awesome burrito spot in Clinton Hill! The burritos are stuffed yet carefully assembled, and the guac and margs always hit. Everyone I've taken to Xochitl has loved it and wanted to come back. Staff is very friendly and there are always regulars inside chatting away and creating a very communal vibe. I get the Franklyn burrito with corn, but there really are endless burrito options, plus tons of non-burrito options. Indoors is cute, with some TVs and ample seating and decoration. Though they also run a total operation when it comes to takeout. Overall, Xochitl is a rock-solid staple that has earned its place in my Clinton Hill restaurant rotation.

Excellent. My new favorite place. Got the fried fish tacos and refried beans on the side. Can’t wait to go back.

We (my husband and I) found this place during COVID. It has been our weekly spot since. We bring our family here, and we have made friends (other weekly regulars) here. Randy & Harvey are Amazing! The guys along with the chefs make this place such a dining experience worth coming back to. The food and the service are always a 10! I'm too greedy to remember to post my food but no matter what u order, u will be happy I promise! Randy is good for food ideas and options and Harvey slays on the drinks but either way, they are ur guys! Enjoy!

The meal and service were fantastic. Our party of 8 were well taken care of. The queso fundido was the best I have ever had. We had several different kinds of tacos and the fajitas and no one left hungry or unhappy. The house margarita was delicious and I was told the frozen margarita was amazing as well. So glad we found this place. Great start to our NYC trip.

Tasty burritos but they felt a bit too heavy in the stomach, especially the Xochitl Special which is covered in cheese and has no rice just filled with meat. I'd recommend the relatively lighter Franklin burrito instead.

Too cold to dine in. Front door constantly opening you’ll definitely need to keep your coat on in there this time of year.

A great place to run in and have a bite. Can sit or do takeaway. The atmosphere is chill and the food is really good. I've ordered from here multiple times. Especially on those days when I can't figure out what to eat. The fajitas with chicken and beef mixed were so good. Very filling and tasty. My favorite is the ground beef tacos. They come in a crunchy shell and it's just so simple but tasty!

Ordered take out from here a few weeks ago. I got ground beef tacos which were good but my only complaint was there was a lot of oil in the container. Not sure if this was due to it being take out. Otherwise, it tasted good and the tacos were crispy. The other dish we ordered was not oily so maybe it was from the beef. The fries were also pretty good.

I love that there’s a legitimate Taco place near where I live. I walked by a thousand times before I thought to go in and it didn’t disappoint. Their happy hour is like $5 per drink but outside of that - the drinks are around only $6 anyway. Their Mexican Rice is super authentic and literally every taco I’ve had is super delicious. One star is deducted because they’re still figuring out how to be attentive, my drinks take a little too long to arrive, and they don’t take Amex Gift Cards.

This was just average. Service was not bad. I was disappointed that there was no alcohol served (a beer would have been nice with tacos), although they mentioned they will be serving it soon. We had a few tacos 🌮 and they were fairly big, but just average. They didn't offer any hot sauces either.

It's good for gentrified Mexican food

Very casual dining. I was actually surprised by my experience here. I wasn't expecting much of the food but it was better than I thought it would be. The chips and salsa for the table was spicy just as I like it. I had the kale burrito and the other members of my family had the shrimp. We all finished everything. The adults had alcoholic beverages which were good too. Service was okay. There were only 2 workers to tend bar, serve, and bus the tables, but they were friendly and tried to address our concerns. Customers came and went, keeping a nice presence in the place without it feeling empty or crowded and loud. I'd go back.

Went here post pandemic. Usually they had an amazing happy hour but now drinks are bottle priced at almost $20. Asked for a large margarita , they only had medium and small. Prices for food are amazing honestly. Menu is extensive. The shrimp and steak burrito was amazing per usual. Shrimp and crab Empanadas were okay ( you only get 2 for 9) but Two entrées and an appetizer for under 40 bucks is not bad. Just wish they had an actual drink menu. Also they do not do pitchers of margaritas .. Disappointed. The picture is the drink menu.

Really disappointing meal. Ordered a quesadilla with chorizo and found hardly any chorizo at all, the chorizo it did have was shockingly dry and saturated in oil.

I was passing by and decided to grab a burrito to go. I wish I'd gone elsewhere. They seem disorganized and inefficient. A man came in right after me and ordered chips and guac to go and sat there for 20 minutes. My single burrito took 25 minutes. And when I got home I discovered it was made without the beef I ordered/paid for. The actual burrito was decent, but I won't be back.

I ordered dinner for my family from this place yesterday. The rice was very good. Most other things were fine but unremarkable. The torta was downright terrible. A small, overcooked piece of chicken in bone dry bread and so poorly prepared you would think it was bad on purpose. I don't usually give bad reviews but the quality actually made me angry, especially because this place is pricier than many much better similar places.

I had made an uber eats order 10 minutes before closing so I’m not sure if they rushed my order but the corn on the cob tasted like the just slapped a pound of mayonnaise no cheese whatsoever . I also had got an horchata which tasted mid. I ordered 2 polla asado tacos which tasted like pure onions no flavor … the super nachos was a 6/10 and the quesadilla was also mid . Overall I paid $60 a this isn’t $60 worthy ! Very disappointed

I walked in to have lunch. I was greeted by the server in the most rude way possible. He told me to close the door behind me, which is understandable. After I apologized, he continued to say under his breath that " there are signs everywhere." All while shaking his head. As I sat down, I felt the cold from the front door. So I asked him if I could sit at another table further away from the door. With an attitude, he says I could sit at any table except for the table that he just cleaned and that it was still wet. I am not sure if he was having a bad day...however, he was rude and aggressive for no reason. This was my first time visiting this establishment. The menu seems interesting and the prices are great. However, they are not that great to sit there and receive that type of service. So I gathered my things and without saying anything, I left before he came back to give me water and take my order. I also didn't feel welcomed or wanted there. This was today at 12:20 PM 12/14. I might come back one day, maybe later in the evening.

I really wanted to like this spot as it's close to a friend's place and seemed authentic. However, between the poor service, just ok food and abysmal drinks it is a flat NO from me. It was a cold, windy, rainy day when my friend and I went so it was slow and chill therefore I expected a good experience. To start, it was freezing inside, our waitress was disinterested and when I asked a question she seemed bothered. We each ordered taco combos and the house margarita. The margaritas were hands down the worst either of us have ever had. They were a lagoon color that we couldn't figure out where it originated from and every sip was worse than the previous one. The tacos were ok but overall bland in flavor. At some Point our waitress stopped coming over and the bartender/host was the one tending to our table always muttering something we couldn't make out. It was clear we had not taken more than 3 sips from our drinks and he just asked if we wanted them to go, at which point we said no and the next logical question should've been to ask if something was wrong/how it could be fixed but he just went on his way and brought us our check. Even after my dining experience I had terrible heartburn and indigestion, which isn’t common for me and Mexican food, so that was definitely an additional downside. Granted pricing wasn't bad but still there wasn't anything positive about this visit. I recommend avoiding.

Really disappointed with the food. Went in there as a one time thing for a quick lunch. Had a Torta but was disappointed with it. One of the skinniest, smallest and hardest piece of chicken I've had in a long time. It was probably bad timing but for that price it was a waste. Was better off going to the deli and getting a cold cut, at least there I would have something to eat instead of bread and lettuce.

No matter what they tell you, they will take a minimum of two hours to deliver your food. DONT TRUST THESE GUYS. They are rude, they are lazy and they are extremely non-challant with people who call them to follow up with their order. Save your time and money and order from anywhere else, trust me

Completely awful I ordered food here on Postmates and then canceled the order because I forgot to add something, neither Postmates or this restaurant will refund my money. I canceled the order within 10 seconds of placing it. Completely awful, stole my money do not eat her

Had a REALLY dry and flavorless steak burrito. The steak tasted old, and there wasn't enough guac/salsa. The bad taste of the steak was too much for me. Pretty much a waste of money. My partner ordered shrimp fajitas, it did not come with guac or salsa.. We are locals and we love supporting local businesses so we really wanted to like this place but our meal was so bad we threw most of it away.

I waited over 40 minutes for my food. When I reconfirmed my order before paying I still received the incorrect order and was missing items.

Extremely bad service. The restaurant was empty and the guy at the bar with the blonde dreads refused to accommodate or make us feel welcome. I requested to be seated towards the back due to the fact that it was cold and I had my children, I did not want to be seated in the front right by the door. I am a regular customer at this restaurant but I will not be returning. We ended up leaving and dinning else where. I just didn’t feel comfortable. Would definitely not recommend.

Been coming here for years and never had and issue at all... until today. I ordered a shrim quesadilla, which is a large tortilla cut in three as pictured. I ate through an entire piece that only had one shrimp at the back it. So basically at a cheese quesadilla. I called in an spoke to the manager Harvey(if that's his real name because he was super reluctant to give it to me) who said it only comes with 5 shrimp. I'm like are you joking? I've ordered this before and it's never been like this. And that means one piece of the three squares will have one shrimp. He got super rude and hung up on me. Last time I'm dealing with this place. Shrimp are cheap as hell and this is how you do you meals? This is a piece with the one piece of shrimp... tiny at that. Disgraceful

I ordered the queso fundido and their Xochitl marg online as a first time diner. When I got my food, the bag was sopping wet with grease everywher, it even left a gigantic orange stain on my countertop through the paper AND plastic bag. The queso fundido hardly has any cheese on it which looked nothing like the photo they used for advertising and the flavor was so bland, I ended up throwing it away. On the initial delivery, they forgot my margarita so I called the store and they said they’d deliver another one. When I got it, the delivery driver had it in the bag sideways with no Saran Wrap or anything to avoid spillage, and when I opened the bag, an inch of the marg was spilled everywhere the marg was green rather than blue like the one I ordered. For $35 this was really annoying and neither the food or drink was redeeming. Since this is a small business I decided to reach out directly for them to fix rather than leaving a review, but 8 days later with no response I decided to let you guys know, if you want quality Mexican food or service, it’s not here.

No where near authentic. I ordered a burrito and it literally had chili on the top of the burrito. I ordered their special that had steak and pork and I only had steak in my burrito and the steak is extremely chewy. My order came with guac and there was 0 guacamole in it and the entire burrito was mostly beans. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
