Miss Shabu is the best around. My family brought in decorations and a cake for my birthday, and they were more than accommodating for everything. The service is fast and courteous, and the food is incredible. The prices are, in my opinion, too low! We eat here often and will continue to be loyal customers.
All-you-can eat meats brought to your table. But the selection of vegetables and other foods, including spices and sauces are in a self-serve area within easy reach. The supply is frequently replenished. Great place for those who have time to thoroughly enjoy the food and the process. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Great, friendly and helpful table staff.
The food is great and the staff are always pleasant
This was my second time eating here. Like the first time, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and respectful. They make their guests feel welcomed. They have a huge selection of sake and some very nice Japanese craft beers. Our waitress, Angela, was very friendly, accommodating, and respectful. She made my wife and I feel very welcome. When entering and leaving the restaurant, the employees greeted us and thanked us. I ordered a Japanese Belgian White style beer and it came to the table at barely below room temperature. It was still delicious and I didn't want it to go to waste, so I still drank it. I let the waitress j ow it was room temp and she offered to get me another. She explained they had just out that particular beer in the cooler. Without me asking, she took the beer off the bill. That is good business. The food was great, the service was excellent and could not have been better, with the exception of the beer temperature. But the warm welcomes, great service, and friendly staff made me happy. I will be back again! Keep up the great work at Miss Shabu!
This place is a hidden gem. I love their spicy seafood broth and all the veggies. The meat was a decemt quality (not USDA Prime.) Other places, they charge for the veggies and sauces separately. This place included all. The staff was prompt and our orders came in timely manner. The only thing that I did not like about this place was there was only one bathroom for each gender.
Had my first Shabu Shabu tonight and am so happy that I went here for it. The service was fantastic and explained everything to us so well. Then there was the food and the experience of the hot pot. So so good. I cannot explain just how good this was. I was a little slow getting into it at first, hoping that I was doing it right but by the end I was diving in chopsticks first and loving every bite! I can't wait to go back and try more!
Wow.. this place really deserves the 5 stars. We came here after an amazing experience at MR BBQ (same owner) and we're not disappointed.Meat quality is exactly the same. Service is wonderful and quick. They are so attentive and have a great selection. To be honest, I felt like their broth could use some more flavor but I just like really salty broths for my hot pot- this is just preference. You'll be surprised by how good the porridge is at the end that they make with your leftover broth! So delicious we asked for 2 rounds even though we were completely stuffed.Would love to come back here again!
This place is great. I've been here twice already. Both times the food and service were excellent. Quality of the food, especially the meat and seafood, seems great. I haven't had any issues with the food or service. They have a variety of soup choices so can that you can try different flavors. It's all you can eat so the price is pretty fair at around $36.99 per person. Kids under 5 eat free. For me, kind of pricey so I only go on special occasions. Place is clean and parking lot is huge since it's in a huge plaza where Zion Market is. I highly recommend this place if you want to try shabu shabu or sukiyaki. Update: Came here for the day before Mother's Day, not much changed but the price, now $38.99 per adult. Food quality is excellent. Plates and utensils are clean. Sauces taste good. Service is great. Atmosphere is really good.
I came here because it was recommended. It was good. Very good choices of Meats. Did like this place. Would recommend. I would come back. Especially that my kiddo is very picky eater, so I called the restaurant to ask if it was okay for us to bring food from outside just for him to eat. And the manager did let us. That was totally cool for her to do that.
High quality meat offerings, cold beer, and steaming hot sake - what more could you ask for? Oh, and customer service was fast. Server was very attentive and each meat order came out within minutes.
My first time there. Turns out it's a wonderful place to enjoy Shabu Shabu. Great selection with fresh and really good looking meats and vegetables. Pleasing decor with comfortable seating. The service staff is top notch with excellent attitude with several waiters taking care of each table. I really like this kind of attention to detail. The price was comparable to other restaurants and totally worth it... I'd recommend you visit Miss Shabu is you're ever in the Buena Park area... I'm sure you'll like it as much as I did...
All u can eat soup based meals. $38/person. So many choices. Pick your protein(about 8 choices, then your broth(spicy miso, beef) boiling in large stainlesss bowls in the center of the table. Then you visit the condiment bar ( greens, whole shrimp lobster balls, squid, noodles, rice octopi, and more). Then go back to table and add everything to the steaming broth to cook for a bit. Use ladles to remove your broth/condiments and enjoy. Eat all you like. $5 charge for left over food.
It was great to have 8 options for the broth, and the beef bone broth was the highlight. They offer 9 varieties of meat, which is a bit fewer than other spots, but the quality definitely makes up for it. The ribeye and sirloin are must-tries. You can get fresh veggies and tons of sides at the salad bar. But the best part is, they even have fish cakes, tteokbokki, and spicy stir-fried pork, which you don't usually see at other salad bars.
Great Food! Impressive Meat Quality. Staffs are very kind. Kids friendly restaurant. This shabu shabu place is by far the best shabu place in LA, OC, San Barnadino and Riverside County. Not only meat is all you can eat, fresh veges and seafoods are also all you can eat. Highly recommend! Things are sooo impressively fresh and delicious.
Amazing Shabu Shabu Experience! I visited this shabu shabu restaurant last week, and it was incredible! They offer 7 flavorful soup bases bone broth, spicy seafood, sukiyaki, miso, kombu, house broth, and beef broth. There are 10 types of meat and 10 kinds of seafood, plus the self-service bar is packed with so many options I couldn’t even count them all. Fresh ingredients, amazing sauces, and side dishes galore! They also cater to everyone with gluten-free, soy-free, and vegetarian options, which is a huge plus. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, the atmosphere was cozy, and the servers were incredibly kind and attentive. It made the whole experience feel even more special. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Satisfied! My first visit was lunch and this time was dinner. Servers are ready for service with smiles and will fulfill your requests. Foods are fresh and delicious. Didn't get a chance to taste their ice-cream dessert because their machine was out of order. I recommend and plan to go there again.
Love this place. First of all, service is really good. Greg is such an enthusiastic server, A+. The meat quality and variety is fantastic. Love the different sauces. The veggies were fresh. I also love the porridge rice at the end. And who can turn down the sweet rice drink for dessert. Great experience. One of my favorite places to go in Buena Park.
Randomly searched yelp, and found this grand open location. Very energetic vibe. It is AYCE style of hotpot. Instead you go grab the item yourself from bar; its all ordered from waiter. Price level is higher than average AYCE hotpot location; so you have better quality of food and service. its more elegant than others. i have ordered the spicy seafood broth, and there is 1/4 size of crab in it. i am happy with my experience, will come again for sure.
I had a wonderful experience here. The servers were very courteous and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend coming to this spot if you are looking for good food.
Yummmm sums it up. So many options for broth, meat, veggies, and more. The service is friendly and helpful. The quality of all the food is really good, and it's all you can eat. Dinner and weekend prices are more than lunch, but they also come with more meat options. You start our by choosing your broth, I really like the spicy seafood. Then you get a beautiful (pretty much a piece of art) veggie tray, and you can order up to four meats at once. You can also order assorted fish cakes, dukk and noodles. The servers check in often and can bring you more of anything. After you finish the shabu portion of the meal, a server will come and make porridge if you'd like with your leftover broth. It is sooo good, would recommend trying to save a little room in your stomach for this at the end. They even bring you a small rice drink slushie at the end for dessert. A great place to visit with friends and family. Once you try it you will probably be hooked.
Had a birthday dinner here and we came early which may contribute to the ease of getting a table for 6. Toppings were fresh. The plate of vegetables had a good variety. Broth options were good. We appreciate that they refill with broth unlike some places that refill with hot water. Sake selection was good.
Yay! They’re open again as of Jun 8th! Got there close to opening time to avoid any potential wait or rush. This was our first time here but are fans of their other restaurant Mr. BBQ in Fullerton. We were pleased to see that a new option/special was added to the menu for lunch. For $16.99 you get your choice of a broth, 12oz of meat and an add on like noodles or dumplings! AYCE is still available but all guests in one party need to agree on one option or the other. This all comes with rice and a big plate of fresh veggies! We were impressed with the quality and presentation of the vegetables and everything else tasted really good. Since the pot is divided in two you can choose two broths for the table where up to 4 people could share. We chose the kimchi and miso broths and ordered the choice eye and chicken. Both of the broths developed nicely as the meats and and veggies were cooked. The ponzu was light and slightly seemed and the gooma (sesame) sauce was also light and tasty. Different from many other shabu restaurants, Miss Shabu has actual gas heating so you get a more consistent temperature for your broth/soup. Toward the end we added our noodles for the second phase of the meal. We were told about a porridge (jook) that can be made with the remaining broth, but we were too stuffed to eat any more. Happy we stopped in and had a great meal! The tables were spaced a good distance apart and everything seemed really clean. Our server was engaging and attentive and we’re excited about going back again sometime soon!
Staff members are very helpful for first time patrons. Lunch option is only $20 for all you can eat. Great choice of meats, veggies, and broths. They let you sample the broths before you order if requested (makes it a lot easier for new patrons). I've had shabu shabu twice before, both bad experiences, so this was nice.
This is the best service in a restaurant I’ve had all year. I know a lot of places are short staffed and pressed to serve everyone, but the staff here was so sweet and attentive. I really appreciated that. The meat was of good quality. This will be our go to ayce shabu shabu spot in north OC from now on.

Came in on a whim for a birthday lunch with yelp reservations and what a choice! The food was great, the silver plate wear and décor were eye catching and the service was fantastic for a weekend. We had the following: - Broths: House and Sukiyaki - Meats: Prime Chuck Eye, Choice Top Blade, Beef Belly, Brisket, American Lamb, Pork Belly - Udon Noodles - Dumplings
Alright hotpot experience but sake, atmosphere and service is good. We come on Friday night and the wait is 2 hr but it allows us to put our name in Yelp list at home so it's fine. For 3 people we get 2 broths the house and miso. The servers keep the meat we order coming but for some reason no matter how much meat we add the flavors of the broths don't improve. It's like dipping meat in boiling water. The meat itself is sliced very thin and there's not enough for each portion. The clam and seafood stuffs we get are also not good. Clams have a lot of sand we don't recommend. The best thing by far is the dumplings, pork belly meat and wide selection of sake. Overall, it's an average overpriced ($40/person) hotpot place for what you get but people are coming for the sake and it's not crowded like other places.
A very good experience. Great selection of meats, vegetables and soups. Service was excellent and Iris did a phenomenal job explaining and catering to us. Recommended.
Korean style shabu shabu that’s all you can eat. Think it’s the only option here as well. Meat selection is great, would recommend the beef belly for sure. The house broth here is my favorite (you’re allowed to pick two). Appreciate the service here as well.
The food was really good. And the staff were really nice. But the pricing was a bit excessive. I feel like they could have 2 tiers (meat & sea food).

Haven’t been to Miss Shabu in a minute, let’s see what’s new. Got there around 5:30 pm on Saturday, no wait, got seated quick. They got a bar area now instead of bringing veggies...hot food bar too, but mostly empty. Took forever to refill stuff. That’s when it went downhill. Tteokbokki? Sugar overload. Japchae noodles? Mushy, jello vibes. Chicken? Flavorless. Only thing keeping me sane...hot pot. Could be better, but not a total miss.
We had a few days off leading up to Christmas, so we wanted to try a new ayce shabu place. This time, husband wanted to venture into Buena Park to check out the $26.99 all you can eat option. We arrived at opening, so the bar wasn't fully stocked with their hot items, but the veggies and seafood options were pretty full. I grabbed some fish cakes, crab, bok choy, Napa cabbage and some kimchi. For sauce, I mixed some ponzu, grated radish, sambal and some water (mul) kimchi. For soup stock, we got the Bone and Beef broth. The soup flavor was pretty bland, but it gains more depth as you cook more stuff in the soup. Meats are endless, so our first round included Chuck Eye, Brisket, Beef Belly and Lamb. The lamb was sooo dry and a bit tough. Brisket and beef belly were a little too fatty, but the beef belly was more tender. Our fave ended up being Chuck Eye as it had decent marbling, so we stuck with this option for the meal. Overall, it was just alright. The shabu feels a bit more geared toward the Korean palate and had a larger variety of seafood choices, but it just wasn't our vibe.

Please check the taste of both kimchi. Mul kimchi was pure sugar water with cut vegetables. While we were there last night, already emptied bulgogie was never refilled (I mentioned to server twice)...so as the rice. Only thing maintained from the last visit was the quality of the meats. I don't think it's all you can eat salad bar when more than half were already empty and stayed empty, and all the servers were busy helping their assigned tables. I don't know if I should let my friends know about the restaurant being poorly managed since I recommended to quite a few people to go try.
Friday lunchtime only three tables. Meats choice are limited same as the service. Server are happily chatting to each other . Not interested to take orders(all you can order!!!) Pictures are not even close to the reality. Not recommended.
