The best sushi experience I have ever had! The ratio of rice to fish is so, so amazing, and very generous. There were riceless rolls, which I absolutely loved! It made me feel like I wasn't filling up on rice. Our orders were brought so fast, and cleaned up just as swiftly! The interior is very pretty and elegant! Wonderful place!
I brought my wife here for her first time after dining about a month ago but I couldn't wait to come back. Happy dining experience accompanied by the friendly staffs and a wonderful quality of sushi. We will be back with more people
I came for lunch and wow! My experience here was 10/10. The food was all so good - the sushi tasted very fresh and the amount of food for the price was such a good deal. We loved how it was all you can eat and we also ordered the omakase option and not only did it taste amazing, but the presentation was beautiful. I also loved the interior of the restaurant, super clean and aesthetic as well. The service was also great, the employees helped recommend to us some different options on the menu and answered any questions we had too. X-fish is definitely one of my new favorite sushi restaurants to go to now and will definitely be back!
Finally had a chance to check out the original and have dinner. I chose the Signature menu which at $39.99 is not too bad for a semi AYCE. I label this restaurant as a semi AYCE, because some dishes are only available to order once, while others 3 times and the rest are unlimited. The service at this branch is top notch with waiters and food coming by constantly. Unlike the other one in Brea where the wait for food is extremely long, the sushi here comes within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The decor is similar to the other one being bright and natural. The definite order dishes are the tuna tartare, bluefin tuna and carpaccio. The rest are to your liking with a limit of 20 pieces per round for 3 rounds. If you are still hungry after that, then scan the QR code and start ordering the rolls and kitchen dishes.
This is the best AYCE sushi restaurant in the LA/OC area. It has everything you could possibly want including nice fresh fish, sashimi, and nigiri with a small amount of rice. Plus, there are many rolls and non-sushi items included on the menu to mix things up. Come weekdays during lunch for the best value ~$28 pp and this goes up to $39 pp on weekends. Restaurant has nice open vibe and service was very good. Come hungry!
It's been a long time since I stopped by here to eat with my family. This is my second visit and I always came with my family. First of all, the food at this restaurant is great. And the ingredients are fresh. I chose a variety of menus and I had enough time to enjoy them. Especially since I like eel, I ordered eel hand rolls many times. They were smooth and delicious without thorns. Side menus like ramen are also good. If you are looking for a restaurant near OC with your family, I recommend this place.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It has a modern look inside and out with a very chill vibe. Great place for date night or family night. I give this place 7.5/10 stars . For a family of 4 with 2 kids was roughly $150 before gratuity. Adults for dinner was 39.99 and kids over 39" is half off while kids underwear 39" are free. Menu consisted of items you order on paper while the rest are ordered through a QR cod. You have 90 mins to dine and orders on your mobile are restricted to every 5 mins. The only thing I would recommend the restaurant to improve on is their app. It was challenging to know what you haven't received yet from what you ordered through the app. Also there was quite a wait in between orders. I would still recommend this place for those who love sushi. Just a warning parking is difficult to find and there was ants by the window next yo our table.
Came here for AYCE sushi and was honestly impressed by the quality and presentation, especially for an all-you-can-eat spot. This is not your typical rushed AYCE experience. The nigiri was the highlight — thick cuts of fish, clean flavors, and beautifully plated. You can really see and taste the freshness. The salmon was buttery and smooth, the tuna was vibrant and meaty, and the white fish options were delicate and clean with no fishy aftertaste. I also loved the variety of toppings like ikura, uni, wasabi, and light garnishes that elevated each piece instead of overpowering it. What stood out most was that the fish-to-rice ratio was on point. The rice was lightly seasoned and not packed too tightly, which made each bite really enjoyable. Even after multiple rounds, the quality stayed consistent, which is rare for AYCE. Service was attentive and efficient — plates came out steadily without long waits, and staff checked in often to make sure we were good. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Overall, this is a great spot if you want AYCE sushi that actually feels premium. Amazing value for the quality you’re getting, and I’d definitely come back when I’m craving good nigiri without compromising freshness.
Xfish Buena Park absolutely exceeded my expectations! The freshness of the seafood was incredible — everything tasted like it was prepared the moment we ordered it. Portions were generous, and the quality you get for the price is honestly hard to beat. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. My server Ryan was awesome!!! If you’re in Buena Park and craving fresh, high-quality seafood, Xfish is an easy recommendation. Definitely coming back!
Great sushi for an all you can eat experience. Definitely go in a large group it’s more worthwhile from a cost and value point of view. All the sushi was fresh and unique taste. The spicy garlic edamame was also great. Our favs were kiss you roll and the black pepper salmon nigiri. Worth the visit. No reservations only waitlist when you get there. They should do reservations tho it was very cumbersome in group setting to do waitlist
X-Fish Izakaya surprised me with its sushi quality. Every nigiri was nicely balanced, and I loved that the fish-to-rice ratio wasn’t overwhelming like many AYCE spots. The rolls were okay, but the nigiri and sashimi were definitely the highlight. Highly recommend coming early to avoid the dinner rush.
I recently visited X-Fish Izakaya, and the sushi was impressively fresh and generous — it felt like there was more fish than rice. The atmosphere was lively and authentic, perfect for casual dining. Some reviews mention slow service during busy hours, especially for the AYCE menu, so it’s best to plan ahead. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy quality sushi and Japanese dishes at a reasonable price.
X-Fish has become our go-to AYCE sushi restaurant in Orange County! Our first time here, we did the Omakase experience and thoroughly enjoyed the selection. The fish is always fresh and the appetizers come out hot and quickly. If you’ve got room in your stomach after eating all the sushi you can, don’t skip the noodles! There’s one udon item that provides me with such comfort at the end of the meal. Yes, wait times can be long during peak hours, but even during the busy times they work hard to get food out to everyone in a fair amount of time.
Food: 5* Service: 4* Ambiance: 3* Value for money: 3* Bottomline Very tasty and fresh sushi. Interesting system to order and be served. Loud environment without music and so-so on the value side. Food The food is high quality, well prepared, and tasty. The portion size is small for the price. Service Hit and miss. This place is busy, so getting attention is sometimes difficult. Additionally, not knowing how the three AYCE lunch options work, we asked for some guidance. It was a fire hose of information and it really didn’t sink in until about round 2 of ordering. It is a mix of paper sheet with selections and mobile app for other things. While I appreciated the technology, it felt odd to order by hand and then order on your mobile phone for other things. Ambiance This place is loud and full of energy. Concrete floors, concrete walls, big glass windows and metal legged tables and chairs made for a cacophony of sounds. At a few points during our meal, we had to stop talking because we were yelling at each other from across a small table. Value for money There are three options: Option 1 - Lunch x Fish $27.99 per person and everyone at the table must order the same plan. Include limited selection of maki sushi and no specialty rolls or specialty cuts. Option 2 - Signature $39.99 per person and everyone at the table must order the same plan. Include good selection of maki sushi and specialty rolls or specialty cuts. Limits on blue fin tuna and carpaccio options. Option 3 - Omakase $55 per person and everyone at the table must order the same plan. Includes all maki sushi and specialty rolls or specialty cuts. No limits on blue fin tuna and carpaccio options. Includes a chef’s choice option (omakase).
Great spot if you’re looking for an AYCE option because their portions are so small that you can try a huge variety. They have special omakase option but for the regular menu I love getting the pepper salmon and pepper tuna. When the skewers come around don’t miss it!! Their ramen is also so good. They make their noodles in house and the black garlic one is sooo savory and salty in the best way. I also like that they do online ordering so you don’t have to wait for a server. I do wish that they had more appetizer and roll Options but I was already so full from all the nigiri and ramen.
The appetizers are not that good. Crab cream croquette is a horrible combo with a horrible sauce of some sort. The baked mussel tasted like a hamburger with all that sauce on it. That sauce was on a lot of things and I don’t quite think it goes in this type of cuisine. The baked scallops were a bit undercooked. We also had udon wasn’t quite as tasteful as your local spot near you. Really thought a place like this would have more taste. However what I did like that I order was the X Fish roll , Vegas Roll , chicken Karaage and of course the garlic Edamame The restaurant has a nice interior. Service was pretty fast. Good thing it’s small.
NOT KID FRIENDLY. We were quoted a 20-30 minute wait for a party of 5 (3 adults & 2 infants) which actually took over an hour. When we were finally seated it took a while for our food to come. They have you order both via a paper slip and a QR code for appetizers and special rolls. The udon and ramen came out first and they were decently tasty. The sushi from the paper came and was pretty decent. We had ordered 8 rolls between 3 very hungry adults and two (free) kids. Someone (presumably from the kitchen) came to tell us that we ordered too much food and that they have a strict leftover policy and told us to cross some rolls off the paper he brought out. No one ever came back to take our roll order. The wait between the paper orders felt hella long. At least 20 minutes for each "round" and then when I asked if I could order a fourth round of sushi they told us we ran out of time. We had not eaten a lot, missed a whole round of rolls, and were generally unimpressed by the service. We had to ask for every little thing. Water, napkins, forks. We had two children with us and since they were under 39" tall they ate for free. But since they weren't considered paying customers they didn't give the kids plates or utensils? And when the check came they definitely charged us the service fee for parties of 5 or more. We tried to pay with preloaded Visa Debit cards and they said they didn't accept "gift cards" and again, they charged us a service fee for parties of 5 or more even though it was 3 paying adults, a 2-year old and 11-month old, and frankly the worst service I've had in a long time. They get one star for the peppered salmon nigiri and one star for the unagi nigiri. But I will never be coming back here again if I can help it. The ambiance is nice and clean if you don't mind the long waits, terrible service and poor attitudes of servers/hosts. Bussers were fine. In general, Aiken Sushi has been a consistently superior AYCE dining experience with better staff, better variety, better service.
We visited this restaurant for weekday lunch as a family of five, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We waited approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to be seated. After placing our first order, it took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. When we placed a second order, we waited another 30 minutes or more. One item from the first order never arrived and only came out after we had to ask again, at the same time as the second order. Several items from the second order (four dishes) never arrived at all. Since this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant with a 90-minute time limit, we eventually ran out of time and had to leave without receiving them. Leaving an all-you-can-eat restaurant still hungry was a very frustrating experience. Additionally, the restaurant automatically adds an 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more, which is stricter than most restaurants that apply this policy starting at 6 guests. Considering the long wait times and incomplete service, this policy felt unreasonable. The restroom situation was also inconvenient. There is only one stall each for men and women, and when occupied, there is no access to a sink. As a result, our family was unable to wash our hands before eating. Overall, the service, wait times, and facility limitations made this a very unsatisfactory visit. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience.
