Came here from Canada because my husband knows how much I love Buffalo wings, and how I'd been disappointed that there isn't a single place in our area that does a decent Buffalo sauce. Boy did this place not disappoint. We ordered the wing platter and got Buffalo and honey bourbon BBQ flavours. The wings aren't breaded, which I prefer, and they were just saucy enough to still be crispy. I loved both flavours, but the Buffalo especially. They give you plenty of blue cheese dip to go with the wings, which is also my preferred, and unlike a lot of other wing places I've been to, the blue cheese dip here actually had chunks of blue cheese in it. Honestly, I hadn't had this satisfying of a meal in AGES. I guess I'll have to find more excuses to travel down to Buffalo so I can stop in at the Anchor Bar!

We traveled to buffalo as Bills fans from South Carolina. This was on our list to try. Wings are cooked just like they do at home! It was nice to have a done-right southern staple as far north as Buffalo! We all agree these are the best wings in the North and possibly the best we've ever had! Service was great with a fun atmosphere. Art is awesome inside and outside the building. We will definitely return on our next trip to Buffalo (hopefully soon!)

This place is nostalgic. The wings were really good and the potatoes wedges. I was supposed that it wasn’t more people there. Overall, because this is said to be the first place to create buffalo wings I had to try and I’m glad I did. Definitely make the stop of for anything to have the experience.

I was really excited to come try home of the original buffalo wings and this place was cool. Inside had a lot of memorable on the walls which was cool. I order the spicy hot chicken soup and it was amazing. I wanted to take a tub of that home with me easy a must get. The wings were also good but I was a bit disappointed in their spiciest level as it wasn't as spicy as I would hope but still good flavor. The other flavors we got were good solid wings sauces. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures pictures of the food as were we starving after the bills games. It seems everyone also come here after a game so be a little patient when coming here.

The famous wings were very ordinary. The appetizer plate seemed to be frozen food . The marina sauce for the appetizers tasted like jarred sauce. The bar tender was very cool. The atmosphere was great!

Seated with a smile by Hector - Alyssa and Kaylene were amazing servers. We were in town for a Bills game and had to have the Original Chicken Wings. We had the original sauce and the spicy BBQ as well as the pizza rolls! Yummy, yummy! Don't be persuaded into trying all the rest before you have had the best!

Given this place was the origin of Buffalo Chicken Wings I had to give it a shot, given I was headed to Buffalo to watch a Bills game. This place did not disappoint the hype. From the unique, authentic design of the restaurant to the atmosphere to the service and the food, every aspect was spectacular. The wings are fresh and never frozen as well.

Let's start with the service from Ann, amazing! She was prompt to take our orders and bring out the food (which came out quickly). Then she had a great personality with a whitty charm. You just don't get that anymore so I had to make sure she was recognized!!! The wings were definitely worth the stop. They were crisp, hot, and just the right size!! Then the flavor was perfect mix of hot and flavor. We tried the sweet potato waffle fries and those even met expectations, not bad for a northern restaurant. So the family of 5 left full, happy and wanting more next time.

Excellent! The wings have an absolutely perfect crunch to them and the sauce is not overpowering like many commercially available sauces. The wings are a decent size, so 10 wings were plenty for an individual.

What a place. We were a party of 12 and they immediately found a way to accomodate us. Service is great, personnel is super friendly. The location is unusual and very interesting, with motorbikes and plates everywhere. The food was good, from pizza to pastas (w meatballs, the sauce a little bit too sweet) and, clearly, the wings! Good job guys

This place is awesome, and you can feel its history. It's super popular, so you'll definitely need to get a spot on the waitlist to get a table. While the food wasn't the absolute best for my taste I'd rate it an 8/10 the service was phenomenal, a perfect 10/10. The price was a bit high for what it was, which I'd rate an 8/10. Overall, a good experience!

Home of the Original Buffalo Wings! We stopped by for lunch here, love the ambiance and atmosphere. Ordered the wings with the original sauce, medium heat and one boneless wings. Crispy, juicy wings with just the right amount of sauce, a little more vinegary but I liked it. The Cesare salad here is one of the best I have had so far! So fresh and crunchy lettuce, generous shavings of parmesan cheese and crunchy croutons. This salad made my day.

Anchor Bar is a great spot for anyone who loves delicious, flavourful wings. We tried the Spicy Garlic Parmesan and Chipotle BBQ wings; both were good. But the Chipotle BBQ flavour was sweat for me. I personally like the Garlic Parmesan flavour but I couldn't try it as it was spicy. I wish they offered a mild Garlic Parmesan option for those who prefer less heat. We went for the double traditional wings (20 wings), which was more than enough for two people; it was plenty and we even had leftovers. The atmosphere was fun, with lots of enthusiastic photos and quirky décor, which made the place feel lively. The servers were friendly, attentive, and respectful. this place is a solid choice for wing lovers, especially if you’re looking for generous portions and a fun, welcoming vibe.

The vibes in this restaurant are amazing. The buffalo wings are definitely a must have. They are a so good. You will wish you can eat more. The pizza is fantastic too. The cup and char of the pepperoni gives it a nice crunch. Worth doing the pizza and wings combo. No credit card surcharge. Clean interior. Clean washrooms. Bar seating available with many TVs for your enjoyment. No Free WiFi. There can be a wait especially on weekends. Prices can be high for certain items. Bring a patch from your emergency service and put them up on the walls. Bring your license plate it. They'll try and make room for it somewhere. Go Bills. Go Sabers. USA Baby!

We wanted to hit up the Anchor Bar to say we went there at least once. Try their wings. And just visit the location. The atmosphere does not disappoint. The service does not disappoint. The beer selection did not disappoint. The wings disappoint. They had great flavor but came out cool on temperature. Although still crispy some of them you'd bite into were cool to the touch as if they didn't get reheated. Was not my favorite wing of them all, but what they lacked for in the food, I will say our server made up for in great service and taking care of us. That along would allow me to give it another try. So althy a three star I would be willing to amend this and try it again the next I am in town.

We can say we had the original. That's about it though. The wings came out cold. We wanted to try the original and another flavor. We chose Spicy Garlic Parm. They were just buffalo wings with a seasoning spread on top. Not tossed at all. The fried pickles were excellent though. Service was not stellar either. It might be because I was wearing my NE Patriots sweatshirt!

Honestly, I was disappointed with the wings here considering its supposed to be the birthplace of OG buffalo wings. The wings overall were very ok. The sauce was watery and bland, and though the wings themselves had a good size, it just felt like they weren't made with alot of love. Ironically I enjoyed the spicy margarita I order way more than the wings, which was the point of my stop here. It feels more like a tourist trap.

Atmosphere was killer, full of history here. Wings were among the worst we had in buffalo, dry. Our order of cheese sticks was delivered still frozen in the middle, our other appetizer ordered was delivered in the form of something we didnt order. Worth a stop cause of who they are but don't fill up here, save your appetite for bar bill or 911 tavern.
