Opinions de La Casa de Sabores Buffalo
This food was freaking DELICIOUS. I got roasted pulled pork with yellow rice and beans. The medium was $14. It was so much food that I was able to make 3 meals out of it. There are a couple tables, but we got carryout as did everyone else in line. Will be going back for sure. No wait time for food.
Food is absolutely amazing and just super good and delicious. Great people.
May appear to be a bit of a hole in the wall outside but the food was really delicious. May not be the best place for a big party just because of the amount of seating. Very casual place so some dates may not feel it is date worthy but if your date is more interested in the taste of the food then this is a great choice
I always order on line, the pork ,white rice and beans, the food is delicious, my son favorite dish, we order alot, staff on the phone very nice, I'm a permanent customer. order prices very reasonable. I always order two orders, sometimes I order only one, alot of meat, rice delicious😋
One of my favorite places. Dominican food is delicious and the portions are great! Staff is cool and will help if you have any questions. The elders are always in the kitchen so I think this helps towards the amazing taste and quality.
Smells so good in this restaurant and the food tastes so good. There is a nice variety, hard to choose! I got a side of yellow rice and beef and cheese pastellios. I'll be back!
Always delicious, with generous portions and a good price point. They do right by their customers. I am a student at Buff state and prefer to go here instead of anything at the cafeteria. Better food, bigger portions, better prices. I never get tired of it
I gotta say the atmosphere was cool. The food was extremely good but being from the South. You know I'm used to a little spicy. I Will say the food was packed with flavor without the spice. And the rice was amazing.
First time trying food from here, we are from out of town. Lower rating for atmosphere due to small sitting area so we ordered our food to go. Ordered 2 dinners and the portions are much bigger than we thought. 1 dinner was enough for the both of us to share with some left over. I ordered arroz con gandules, pernil, and costillas, in English, yellow rice with pigeon peas, roasted pork and ribs The large came with both meats Also a side of mangu , mashed plantains w pickled onion on top also a larger portion than expected We asked for the beans to be put on the side as I don’t usually like beans with my yellow rice. This food was delicious! I love the vinegar flavor in the pork and the beans have a good flavor of sofrito Also bought chicken and cheese empanada which was shared along the way and did not make it back to the room. Also very good and made very differently from how we are used to preparing them. Highly recommend this place
Excellent food! We got rice, beans, mofongo, stew chicken, bbq ribs and sweet plantains. Everything was delicious! The service was also great and all for a good reasonable price. The restaurant is not pretty but it was clean. Will definitely be back for takeout. Highly recommend this place.
Love the small family owner Dominican restaurant off the beaten path. Some of the best pork I've ever had any Caribbean style. restaurant in Buffalo. Excellent barbecue chicken and barbecued ribs as well. The serving of rice is enough to feed you for 2 days.Awesome set up an amazing price is pretty definitely check this place out
If you are a fan of Dominican food, or ever wanted to try it out. This is a good place to go. They have good portion size food and everything taste amazing. Always loved Dominican food and this is definitely authentic. Must try it out if you are in the area. Hope the pictures help with portions you get. There is small, medium, and large sizes trays in the pictures
The owner, Carlos, is attentive and friendly. The food was good! 4 of us ate (one from DR) & all were happy with what we got. If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it. I'll be back. It's comfortable and portions were big! Two of us were Gluten free & food options weren't a problem. The 10% Veteran's discount was appreciated. Support this locally owned business.
Wow!!! This place is amazing. The flavorful food and the great value for your buck. It seems to be a family own establishment very humble wish adds to the great appeal of this place. I made sure to try every single item they had on the line and they were very accommodating. If you are ever in the eastern part of Buffalo near Buffalo state come check them out. You will not be disappointed.
Food is good every time I go but different people serve different portions sizes one min I get a good portion next they skimp on the portion. Other than that they are good and very nice.
This review is only based on the stew chicken with rice and beans and the sancocho. The chicken was fall off the bone tender, really great. Rice and beans were meh. No better than something you could make out of a box from the store. The sancocho was good, had a good flavor, the meat was very tender, there was a lot of broth but I wish there would have been more vegetables. I would order something different next time.
I'm Dominican and was so happy when we finally got this Dominican restaurant in Buffalo. Never had any complaints in all the years I've gone there. It saddens me that my last visit wasn't memorable. My daughter took me there for my birthday and we expected to be served like before. It was like eating at a fast food restaurant like BurgerKing. You order, pay and sit down to eat. I wanted some pernil but what they had was some fat left. I asked the lady if they had pernil and she showed me what was on displayed. Didn't get chicharrones de pollo because it was mostly crumbs left so I got the ribs. Ribs had a lot of fat. Our food was given to us in take out plates. From the time I got up to order the food til I sat down was about 15 minutes. The food was okay. Where did my Dominican cooks go. It was so disorganized. By the time we left, the line was almost out the door because they were taking so long to serve one customer. $60 was not worth paying for 3 meals. So sad😥.
The food wasn’t bad. They don’t have any white meat and they only have pork and chicken. Very starchy they atmosphere awful.
They don’t attend to their customers. They have their own conversations about their own personal business. I was standing in front of the buffet line an it took them more then ten minutes waiting to take my order. It took someone from the back of the restaurant to tell them hey you have a customer. So I don’t agree with the food. The white rice was old and so was the colored rice. Their food looked horrible.
