Opinions de Soho Buffalo, NY Buffalo
Soho Bar has officially become our new favorite brunch spot in Buffalo. The food was absolutely amazing. The dishes were fresh and full of flavor....and the mimosas were spot-on!! What really set the place apart was the service. The team here doesn't just serve food; they create an experience. The staff of Soho is what set the place aprt for us. They are actually proud of their bar and will tell you that. This is evident in their actions as well as words. They bring a lot of fun energy to tbe place. A huge shout out to Chef Lela whose creativity and skill made each plate memorable. Aniie, Lizzie, and Charlie were incredible from start to finish. They ran the serving area and were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel more than just customers. So, if you're looking for a Sunday Brunch spot where the food and drinks are great, but the service makes you want to come back, then Soho Bar is the place! ...... almost forgot....ask about the insane post 4pm deals for the football games. We were too full to stay but the menu and food deals were awesome. ❤️
Here from Michigan Excellent service!!! Excellent atmosphere! Excellent food! Lizzie and Kennendy made our anniversary brunch perfect! Highly recommend!
I was in town for a night for my 40th birthday. They had a free hibachi night, Nate was amazing!! He did such a great job plus he was so polite. He offered, we didn’t have to ask. I would definitely go back !! Everyone there seem really nice! I didn’t get the bartenders name but didn’t have to wait for a drink.
Great vibe, plenty of space to sit and relax, and the staff were super welcoming. The menu has a nice variety, especially for folks who just want something tasty without needing to brush up on French or Italian cuisine. My friend couldn’t stop talking about the tuna tacos and grilled ahi — they were a hit. I went with the New York strip and started with the creole shrimp, which was packed with flavor. Honestly, I could’ve just snacked on a whole bowl of those little button bites — they were that good! The steak was cooked just right. The fun music is what initially pulled us in, and since we only had one shot to grab a good meal during our quick stop in Buffalo, we’re really glad we picked this spot.
I enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Soho in downtown Buffalo this past weekend! Great food and excellent service!! I've been to Soho countless times over the past two decades, always in the evenings. It was cool to see it in the daylight, an entirely different atmosphere. Super clean and well kept. The owner and management go above and beyond to care for their customers! I highly recommend visiting for brunch. We arrived early at 11 am so it wasn't busy yet which was nice. I had their Espressoho martini and egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. I also couldn't leave without trying their salted caramel cinnamon roll! They are made at their sister bakery Forno e Gelato, so good!! Parking was easy, we found a free space on the side street. Overall, it was a fun way to start the weekend!
Food was delicious. Presentation was as described/pictured and the staff was awesome. Will be returning to try their brunch. I had the Ginger Snap Crusted Salmon... Faroe Island Salmon / Blues Hog Barbecue Sauce Glaze / Gingersnap Cookie Crumb / Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Gnoochi / Granny Smith Apple / Fresh Cranberry / Local Maple Syrup Cream
Such a lovely place for brunch ! The options are delicious and the service is wonderful! The only negative I would have is that the waiter was not 100% familiar with the menu. I wanted a item that stated that it had an egg involved, but the waiter said that it was poached. So I had to change to a different choice that had no egg involved. When my sister received her meal, which is the one I wanted, it had a fried egg on it. I wish he would have doubled checked before I made my decision. Mind you, my alternative option was delicious. I certainly didn't suffer for a change! Now I know next time I go I can get that choice. Other than that, it was lovely ! We were served complimentary strudel after we sat down, which was a nice unexpected surprise. We were not rushed and the vibe was relaxing and upbeat ! Definitely planning on going again ! Would recommend it to anyone! We went before a Shea's matinee performance. Perfect start to the day!!
We made it to Soho for brunch on a Sunday to try something new. It was cute with inside and outside seating options, something for everyone on the menu and generous refillable alcoholic brunch drink options. We had the house made chicken and waffle, side of bacon and steak and eggs. Everything was made in house and tasty. The portions were a good size, filling and a decent price. It was nice to see small portions of fried potatoes and fruit on the plates to have some variety without having to order additional sides. The potatoes were super crispy and delish! There were drink options that were a little more deluxe on the menu. We opted for the $10 pitchers of mimosa and bloody Mary’s for our group. Perfect for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. The staff was wearing masks and following covid protocols when we were there. We felt safe and enjoyed our brunch.
Great atmosphere, spacious seating and friendly staff. The selection of menu items are great for visitors not looking for a lesson in French or Italian. My wife really loved the tuna tacos and grilled ahi tuna. I had the New York strip and the creole shrimp starter. I wished I could just order a basket of the button mushrooms they were so delicious! Steak was cooked perfect. The fun music really drew is in and for having only one shot at dinner for our only day in Buffalo we were very pleased with our decision.
The food was decent. Trying to get a drink from the bar was difficult, 4 bartenders and only one was running and serving drinks. Not the friendliest of staff, but they got you what you needed. The bathroom had no toilet paper in any stall.
A banging club on Chippewa with a rooftop patio bar. The DJ was excellent and a decent atmosphere overall.
Don’t order online. Like many of these local places, there is a ‘problem’ with the system and they’re actually closed. Then it will take a minimum of 5 days for a refund.
the nastiest “bar” I’ve ever been to, bouncer could care less and the people that go here are the most rude and obnoxious individuals I’ve ever came across. If you need to use the restroom be prepared to be physically assaulted by random men and drunk women. This is not a restaurant and very much a tiny sketchy club full of underage kids
Do not eat out of that disgusting filthy dirty restaurant & bar unless you enjoy food poisoning " was served bad food will not be returning it
Do not go here if you believe everyone should have equal rights. The bouncer/security told my friend he could not get in because of his timberland boots, but then proceeded to let in 4 girls who were wearing boots. The dress code posted up states, NO BOOTS. Not, no boots for guys or mentioning the type of boots. If you are going to ban boots and have a dress code, then the rules should be followed by EVERYONE. Unfortunately this facility condones discrimination and sexism among their customers. Furthermore This bar's actions reflect a deeper issue of sexism, as it seems to treat women as objects to attract more customers, rather than as individuals deserving of equal treatment. By allowing women in despite their boots violating the dress code, while denying entry to men for the same reason, it shows that the dress code is selectively enforced, likely with the underlying assumption that the presence of women will benefit the bar's business. This creates a harmful dynamic where women are treated less as patrons and more as a tool to increase the appeal of the venue. If these are policies you support then by all means attend this bar. But if you do not support acts of discrimination I urge you to not attend. There is a dress code posted on the door that does not specify what kind of boots. It just says NO BOOTs. When I asked the security and bouncer to specify the dress code his response was "i don't care." While looking at other reviews it's seems to be a pattern of insensitive, rude and unfair behavior toward customers. My comment on this bar's sexist motives still stands. Edit: how convenient that you can't attach it 😂
I haven't been this underwhelmed in a long time. I had a long wait before I watched the bartender tear two sticky menus apart from one another and give me one. I ordered a drink and a medium rare burger twice before the order was actually placed. There was a long wait for the food, although no one was sitting at tables yet, and the seats around the bar weren't full. The burger was juicy but not seasoned. When I pointed out that it was closer to well done than medium rare, the server said "oh", walked away, and did nothing. Nothing about this visit was nice nor impressive, with the exception of the live band. I'd pass it by if I were you. I only stayed because I'd waited too long to eat and just didn't want to continue looking for another place to go. I only ate half the food. I didn't like any of it. Not the burger, fries, or house made BBQ sauce or honey mustard.
After having a bad service experience a few years ago, a group of us decided to give this place another chance. Never again. We were asked multiple times if we had reservations even though there was only 1 other table seated...... took almost 20 min to get drinks ordered and finally handed menus. Then took. Almost an hour for us to get our food (6 burgers with fries).... when the food finally came out it was all barely even warm. We had to eat so fast as we had a show to get to right after.... couldn't even enjoy it. We went downstairs to leave only to see that there was literally NOBODY else in the place aside from our table and a few people scattered around the patio bar upstairs. WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO GET OUR COLD FOOD??? Never again.
