We've been traveling through northern Spain for a week now, and without a doubt, this has been the best restaurant we've visited. Don't let the exterior entrance fool you—it's in the port, in a sort of industrial building—you go up the stairs, through the corridor, and there it is: a place done with great taste and class, with beautiful views of the port, top-notch service, and delicious food! Fresh fish, seafood straight from the aquarium in the dining room, everything cooked to perfection. I can't wait to go back next year.
Good restaurant, good food, and good service, you couldn't ask for more... The octopus was delicious, and so was everything else. A wide variety of wines. We saw the grilled fish go by and were left wanting more. We'll be back... The waiter was kind and friendly. They have three rooms: the one inside for a set menu, which today was €14 and was good, another for smokers, and the one they showed us, which is a la carte, with views of the port, very cool. P.S.: The homemade baked cheesecake was very good.
They weren't exactly friendly, they were just the next best thing. It's wonderful to see such an exquisite restaurant passed down from generation to generation. Delicious food, and the youngest son has an elegance imbued with his father's kindness. My children saw the fish tanks thanks to their dedication; they have an unparalleled way of carrying up to 25 glasses, and the food is expertly prepared. Thank you so much for everything. We went twice, and we'll return two thousand more times.
It's best to book. They have a set menu and an a la carte menu. The menus on offer were generous. We ordered delicious barnacles, cooked-to-order squid, and tasty croquettes. The seafood platter for two was very filling, and the tuna belly was spectacular (only a glimpse is visible in the photo). Most diners ordered the grilled meat. Recommended
Great rice and great service! The cheesecake is delicious!!
The exterior of the place doesn't hint at the quality of the food. The fish and seafood are exquisite, thanks to their freshness and the care they take with the ingredients. They cook them perfectly, succulent and never dry. The price isn't cheap, but for the quality they offer, it's not expensive either.
We had been there many years ago and returned because we loved it, however, this second visit was quite disappointing. The battlements and the octopus were very good, but the rice was a disaster as it was completely overcooked (you can even see it in the photos). The lobster rice was totally bland, but the scarlet prawn rice was much better. In theory, one was supposed to be soupy and the other not, but both had way too much broth. The waitress who served us was super friendly, but one of the waiters, when taking away the rice dishes, left a trail of broth all over the floor from the table to the kitchen, and nobody cleaned it up, so people kept stepping in it as they left; I think it wouldn't have cost anything to mop it up... The space is nice (although the entrance through the fish market building is very neglected) and the views are very pleasant.
The food was good, for the price and freshness (right at the fish market) we expected better. The service wasn’t great in general. A bit disappointed but overall alright.
What can I say about eating in Galicia? It's all about quality. This place has very good quality produce, nothing fancy (frozen or ultra-processed), from the fish market to the plate. It's made fresh, so the wait time may be a little longer, but it's not excessive either. The atmosphere is pleasant. The seafood is very good. Very satisfied.
Good quality
Ok
A seafood restaurant with a good value. It's important to book several days in advance, as it tends to fill up quickly. The restaurant is divided into two spaces: one very pretty and well-decorated with sea views, and the other more rustic and charmless. Unfortunately, we were assigned the second seating in the less attractive part, as there was no room in the area with the view. The service took a while to serve us, although it wasn't excessive. We ordered seafood and fish grills, which were adequate, but nothing exceptional. If you're in the area and can get a table, it's a good option. But if it involves driving for more than an hour, in my opinion, it's not worth it.
I've been there several times over the years, and the quality has declined dramatically. Not so much in the raw materials, but in the cooking. And not to mention the prices. They're truly outrageous. The desserts, of the five I've tried, were all pretty bad. The tiramisu isn't tiramisu. It's mascarpone with cocoa. The cheesecake was very poorly made and cooked. The grandma's cake was too gelatinous, and the flan was mediocre. The grilled octopus was a complete disappointment. The vegetables swallowed up the octopus's flavor and were too oily. The seafood was generally good, but some were undercooked or had grilled residue on them. I can't recommend it, either for price or overall quality.
We were hungry. The volandeiras were sold as zamburiñas. Mediocre and overpriced. The rice with lubrigante had a very small one, with hardly any meat. The rice was overcooked and soggy, it was like…
It was pretty hard to find this place, I come at 17, but it was closed till 20:30. Very bed news for very hungry person. Please update your working hours.
