We stayed at 2 hotels, 1 south of Cancun (Porto Morales) and 1 in Cancun. Multiple native employees at both places recommended this place. We were not let down. We agree with all the other 5 star review comments. Bring Google translate, the only speak Mexican
The food here is super delish! As a tourist, I was looking for local Mexican food and this spot was it! MOISES was super kind and generous in his assistance! Highly recommend the tacos! Come here if you don’t want basic tourist eats!
We discovered this place more than 15 years ago and every time we visit Cancun we make sure we pay a visit Their Tacos are simply amazing and delicious we love the Al Pastor, Bistec, Campechanos, Sesos, Longaniza and Lemgua. They also have Gringas, Tortas, Burritos and many more delicious dishes to choose from we always pair our food with a super cold Victoria, Pacifico or Modelo. This time Flor our waiter was very nice and friendly Keep in mind that parking may be challenging if you are driving to this restaurant. Good tacos, not too expensive
Excellent service. There’s no 10 stars but it deserves it! Recommended one hundred percent. I love the green salsa with lettuce. Hot. Ok Fanny great server. Ask for her.
Loved our experience here. The Birria tacos and consumé were delicious as was the pizza with traditional Mexican meat toppings. Al Pastor was good, but not the best in the area. Many have commented on poor service but we had just the opposite. Very kind and attentive staff.

Nice place, really colorful restaurant, lots of fans in the ceiling that help mitigate the heat. The food: got a little early (around 4pm) for which we had to wait for the "cabeza selection" of tacos to be available (the waiter explained that around 7pm is the best time since all the meats are all cooked and ready to serve) still I had to experience several of their tacos. Good portion of meat, the hot sauces add good flavor and they were patient with our kids (picky eater) overall, a good family experience.
Waiter Irving is the best!!!! Every kind of tacos best of the best. Also they bring you 3 different kind of amazing sauce, also lime and radish is a big plus! Also mango water is fresh and tasty. Very traditional place and food, not touristic place at all. I highly recommend this place.
Right next to the ALoft hotel is this amazing joint! You can order Tacos, burritos, and so much more! We tried their Beef, Sausage, lengua (beef tongue) & Tripe Tacos. 🌮 The tripe and beef tongue is not on the menu so you’ll want to ask for it. By far the tripe tacos was amazing! So much flavor and cooked right! 🍲 We also had the Birria tacos and birria soupe! 🥤 Drinks: Recommend their horchata and tamarind juice.
Good food, very good prices. Guys helped us with spanish and understand the meals, overall very recommend and enjoyed the local atmosphere a lot.
Excellent meal and great service. We ate here two days in a row it was so good. We had the alambres rigoleto and it was delicious. We also had an assortment of tacos, gringas and a torta. We really loved the pastor. Very flavorful! Prices are so reasonable!! Next time we come to Cancun we will be sure to come back.
Away from the hotel zone (and that's a good thing), Tacos Rigo offers the most delicious, authentic tacos you'll find in Cancún. Try the al pastor, the lengua (yes, that means tongue), and the suadero. All the food here is amazing and very flavorful. The staff are all super friendly and the cost is perfect! I had 6 tacos and a drink for 100 pesos. I make a pilgrimage here every time I'm in Cancún.
Wonderful tacos I just cannot stop eating. My favorites are tripa dorada and tacos de suadero. Wonderful tastes with spicy salsa. Will definitely come again. Too bad no more beef tongues when I was there, not sure if permanent.
Got 4 steak and pork tacos, guacamole and chips, queso fundido, michelada liter, and hibiscus drink all for $20!!!! Waiter very sweet and restaurant clean with lots of indoor seating and mural. Delicious. So good!! UPDATE: Ate here about 10 times on my trip for breakfast and dinner. Each time had excellent service and excellent food. This place is addictive.
Cheap food, friendly staff, super quick service. The interior is quirky but the place is open to the street and has 3 open kitchens. Definitely worth a visit. The staff didn't speak English very well but they were helpful and the place has an English menu.
Delicious authentic Mexican tacos, tortas and other great food choices, love the different salsas that you are served so you can put them on your food on your own. You can eat as spicy or hot that you desire, or not spicy at all.
Husband got the chicken tacos and said they were great. Definitely worth it if you want some authentic tacos. There were many locals eating there. Only around $1 per taco. Chips and salsa were very good. We ate outside and everything looked clean. They accepted cash or credit card. Staff was very nice.
Food was just ok, I've had better in the states... Al pastor meat was dry and didn't come with pineapple and we had to ask for it, even though we saw other people's came with pineapple. Not sure why. They also messed up my order :/
Unfortunately the tacos were bad. Dry, full of fat and ansavoury. May be try some of the other stuff.
