Such a wonderful experience. From the vibe, the staff, the water, the food and the drinks our mixed group of singles, couples and kids had the best time. We will be back. Everyone agreed our best meal after four days was at Fontelina. The seafood the pasta the dolce. Exquisite. Our waiter “Rustik””(I butchered that sorry) elevated our meal with his attentiveness, kindness and humor. The mixologist master Vincenzo made incredible cocktails with endearing humility, precision and authenticity (thank you). Everyone was great, but there is one stocky gentlemen whose name escapes me, but he was hustling from umbrella to chair to umbrella taking care of everyone. I hope he sees this because my group really appreciated the valiant effort; grazie. Great time and we all plan to come back. That local snapper will be in my dreams 😃. Ce vediamo.

La Fontelina is such a unique and relaxing spot in Capri — definitely worth the visit! You can get there by boat or walk about 0.4 miles down a steep path and concrete stairs (be prepared for the climb back up!). The restaurant had great food and friendly service — make sure to book a reservation in advance. At the beach club, service is a bit more laid-back; you’ll need to flag someone down for drinks, which seems pretty typical in Italy, though a bit frustrating at times. That said, the staff was accommodating and the setting is absolutely stunning. A true Capri experience!

This place is a dream and it was a highlight of our entire Amalfi Coast experience. The food is TO DIE FOR. Every table around you is talking about the quality of the food. Service is what you expect from a top tier establishment, 10/10. Do not listen to poor reviews about La Fontelina; it is a must if you are in Capri. People criticize the beach club for not being an actual beach; it is something far more unique than that. There are plenty of regular beach clubs in town if that is what you prefer. But this is something one-of-a-kind: your own private sun deck within a crystal clear grotto. We had 2 big appetizers, tons of fresh bread, 4 glasses of wine, 2 entree pastas, and our meal was 180 EUR. I’m sorry but for the location and experience — that is exceptional value. (especially coming from the USA and seeing what regular beach clubs charge in Miami) We walked from the city center which I would recommend if you want some extra steps in with an amazing view along the way. Warning it is steep. But they do also offer a boat from the main pier for 8 euros or so, VERY well worth it. (There and back) Cute merchandise and clean facilities, this place is a dream.

La Fontelina is the star of Capri Island! No matter which season you visit, you will find something enchanting in its exquisite location. Walking down is easy, but on the way back, be sure to take the sea route. The warmth of the servers, the decoration of the place, and its well-maintained and well-preserved state transport you to traditional film scenes. The food is delicious; I recommend directly ordering whatever the chef's special is, as the chef personally brings it to you. The music, atmosphere, and environment are top-notch. If the weather permits, I highly recommend spending some time at the beach as well; it has become our favorite!

My husband and I are never ones to pay to get into somewhere but this was so worth it I promise you! We made our reservation about a month in advance and went towards the end of the season (beginning/mid October). We had an incredible spot (they pick it for you), the service was excellent, and it was overall one of our favorite experiences of our honeymoon. There’s a place to jump in the water (highly recommend), and the view is amazing. The food and drinks are pricey, and they make you have a restaurant reservation in order to use the beach club, but we took advantage of it for sure. The walk down to get to the club is INTENSE, but definitely worth it. I recommend taking the taxi boat back and then walk or get a taxi back to your next destination in Capri. I would add this to your bucket list if coming here!

Amazing experience! Came here on an overcast/windy day but the staff made it one of our best experiences on the island! Giornata uggiosa, dopo una passeggiata ci siamo fermati a pranzare qui. Sarà stato il vento che sollevava le onde, ma l'atmosfera era magica... il cibo buonissimo, e il servizio molto cordiale - per fortuna non c'era tantissima gente e ci siamo potuti accomodare anche senza aver prenotato. Ottimi i "fuori menù" del giorno, buona scelta di vini anche. Sicuramente un buon pranzo da ricordare, prezzi ok per la location e per il cibo proposto.

Lido raggiungibile a piedi dopo una camminata di circa mezz'ora dal cento di Capri o raggiungibile via mare. Lido che si sviluppa su roccia e cemento ed è fornito di lettini o materassini per un costo di 30 euro ognuno. Integrato all'omonimo ristorante che serve delle buone pietanze soprattutto a base di pesce. Prezzi adeguati agli altri ristoranti dell'isola.

We walked down to this beach club from the Hotel Punta Tragara and it was a beautiful scenic view on the way down, but quite the task getting back up. I would suggest taking a boat taxi or making sure you have really comfortable shoes for the return trip. Once we were there, it was a beautiful view with the iconic blue and white umbrellas. However, they seated us on an uneven area near a little cliff overlooking the water, and it was hard to get our chairs to balance there. I didn’t feel like the service was very good at our seats for drinks. They were very busy. We ate lunch at the restaurant and had some of the best Caprese raviolis I’ve ever had, but I was underwhelmed by the whole experience there. For me it wasn’t worth the hype.

Getting to La Fontelina is a bit of a hike(downhill to get to) but well worth it. I highly recommend taking the ferry back to the Piccola Marina for 7 Euros after your meal. That way you can easily take a bus/or taxi back to wherever you need to go in Capri rather than make the massive hike back up the cliff stairs. Very helpful! We had a reservation for lunch and beach chairs that in total cost us about 300 Euros. The staff was very helpful and even though the restaurant was extremely crowded and the staff was a tad overwhelmed, they still managed to cater to all of our needs in a timely manner. The food itself was fairly classic and casual. Nothing too extravagantly plated but definitely tasty. I recommend the steamed seafood salad so that you can get a taste of a wide variety of what the restaurant has to offer. The cliff side beach chair views were fairly breathtaking to say the least. I was amazed at how many cliffside platforms were available and yet all of them had their own “private” feel. You really can’t go wrong with any set of seats that they provide you with. A definite “must go” in Capri.

La Fontelina ha una posizione incantevole e cibo di alta qualità, anche se i prezzi sono elevati. Il servizio al ristorante è stato impeccabile. La Fontelina offers a stunning seaside location in Capri, perfect for relaxing by the beach, but not for food. The dishes, especially the raw ones, lacked flavor (no seasoning, just the raw fish offered). The food is overpriced for each quality and some items were even charged above the menu price without explanation—possibly due to the fish of the day. The pasta mains were just average. Overall, the view is spectacular, but the food doesn't live up to the hype or cost.

I want to give future visitors a heads-up about La Fontelina. The good: • The location is absolutely stunning. • The food I ordered was excellent (though my girlfriend’s wasn’t nearly as good). • The chairs and umbrellas were comfortable, and the setup itself looks very Instagram-worthy. The not-so-good (and where it went wrong): • We booked two beach chairs a month in advance and even arrived early, hoping for a prime spot. Unfortunately, guests don’t get to choose their chairs, staff assigns them. • If you haven’t booked multiple consecutive days (4+), you’re placed at the very back, far from the water. We noticed locals and repeat visitors consistently got the best seats near the water, while tourists were pushed to the far corner. This was never communicated beforehand and really dampened the mood. • When we asked if we could switch, we were simply told it was “impossible,” even though we were among the first couples there that morning. • Service felt slow, and attention was clearly given more to those in the better-located seats. • There is no music or ambiance, which felt strange for a place that calls itself a beach club. Value for money: Between food and chairs, we spent over $400. For just a bit more, we realized we could have had a private boat experience, something we’d recommend over this. Bottom line: La Fontelina looks beautiful in photos, but the experience doesn’t live up to the price tag. Unless you’re booking multiple days, expect to be pushed to the back with lackluster service and no real atmosphere. Save your money and book a boat instead, you’ll enjoy Capri much more that way, we definitely did!

Il posto è davvero bellissimo, ma purtroppo l’esperienza è stata rovinata dallo staff. L’accoglienza è stata poco professionale: personale lento, disattento e spesso scortese. In particolare, l’approccio alla reception è stato freddo e poco cordiale, il che fa perdere subito l’entusiasmo. È un peccato che una location così bella sia penalizzata da un servizio così deludente.

Un’esperienza profondamente deludente, indegna dell’isola di Capri. Capri è una delle perle del Mediterraneo, ma purtroppo strutture come questa ne danneggiano l’immagine e l’atmosfera. L’accoglienza è stata inesistente: personale maleducato, scostante e completamente privo di professionalità. Ogni richiesta sembrava un disturbo, ogni parola ricevuta trasudava fastidio. Nessun sorriso, nessuna gentilezza, solo un clima di tensione quasi surreale. L’ambiente generale ricorda più un ospizio spento che una struttura turistica sull’isola più affascinante d’Italia. Soggiornare qui significa rovinarsi l’esperienza caprese, che dovrebbe essere fatta di bellezza, cordialità e autenticità. Do not come to this beach club. Complete scam. Waited an hour for the water taxi to the beach club. Tried to call to see if they were coming or not and it was busy every single time we called. Once we finally got there, we were told we have to pay €10 a person for the boat we just waited an hour for. When we saw the spot we were assigned, there were not even enough chairs for us. Just thin towels. We had a reservation for 5 people and there were 2 chairs. You do not get to choose where you sit and they do not let you switch spots. I have also attached a picture of the view from our section. We paid thousands of dollars for this beach club and it was the worst beach club experience we had in Italy. The minimum spend here is €190 per person. More if you even want an umbrella. Have never been more disappointed.

Staff will size you up when you walk in and if you don’t fit the bill, you’re put on a concrete slab in the back with no view. We arrived when it was dead empty in the morning but when we asked to change for a better view they said it was reserved for regular customers. Not worth it - felt very unwelcome. Worst experience in Capri. La Fontelina is nothing more than an Instagram illusion the reality is cold, careless, and deeply disappointin, ignored, and dismissed by arrogant staff who only care about who they think is important. The sunbeds were broken, the rocks dangerously slippery, and there’s no proper beach or shade just discomfort. Lunch was a joke: lukewarm pasta, dry fish, and wine that would be better served in a gas station. Don’t be fooled by curated photos. This place is a trap for tourists looking for the Capri dream and waking up in a nightmare of bad service, fake glamour, and zero hospitality. A sad stain on an otherwise beautiful island.
