We chose the property through Smartbox for two nights, including breakfast and dinner. It's an ideal location for traveling between Biella and Vercelli. We also took the opportunity to spend a day in the Aosta Valley (1 hour away). The property isn't the newest, but the service is excellent and the people are friendly. Although you're often treated poorly with Smartboxes, we had a wide selection of food here. The food is good; obviously, don't expect gourmet fare, but honest, home-cooked dishes (I recommend the risottos). Even without Smartbox, the price of a full meal is low for what you get. The rooms are clean, and there's also parking nearby.

We found out about this hotel through a smartbox package, kindness and helpfulness of the owner and staff, comfortable and clean room, excellent and well-prepared food. Recommended for moments of relaxation and excellent for excursions between Vercelli and Biella

Quick lunch: excellent stewed snails and grilled sirloin steak. A comprehensive menu with other interesting dishes. Friendly and good service. Update 20/06/25 ------- Today we returned and ordered the menu of the day for €25: loin appetizer, borage ravioli with butter and sage, and veal sirloin with fries. Everything was excellent. Recommended.

I've already tried this restaurant near the Carisio highway exit for lunch several times. It's an elegant place with friendly and welcoming staff. The menu is affordable and the food is really good. Highly recommended.

I can't write a review of the property or its services because I haven't used them yet. I'll do that later. What I really want to say is a huge compliment to the person who manages reservations. I made a mistake with my reservation and she was super kind in solving the problem for me. Her kindness alone deserves 5 stars. We're sure it will be a great stay. Now that I've spent two days at this property, I can say I had a great time. The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the owners were very kind and friendly. I'll definitely be back.

We stayed with Smartbox for two nights. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with a large terrace. The food was very good and high-quality. The service was also excellent, with very friendly and welcoming owners and staff. I highly recommend it. As soon as I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back. A special thanks to the owner's daughter, who was very sweet and helpful.

I was at this restaurant this evening, Tuesday, September 9, 2025. I had a great time, the owner was friendly, and the food, while not plentiful, was of high quality. I ordered the trucker's menu, but there was plenty to explore, and they also have traditional dishes like fried frogs. Thank you for your hospitality; I'll be back again if I have the chance.

This was my second visit to this restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. The food is simple but good, with a €13 menu that includes dessert. The service is spot on, and the lady, even though she's alone, manages to satisfy her customers in a timely manner. Well done!

The rooms are large and clean. The location is excellent if you want to go to Malpensa because it's close to the A4 motorway exit. The staff is very friendly, and they sell delicious rice. Worth considering for its competitive price.

Experience with the Smart Box package, two nights and two dinners. Those familiar with these packages know that the accommodations offered aren't four stars, but they're decent. Da Ovidio is located halfway between Vercelli and Bidella on the state highway, 400 meters from the A4 exit for Biella, and suffers from some traffic noise at night and early morning. The property is nice, more so inside than out, with a clean bar and dining room, and a large, clean room and en-suite bathroom. Antonina and the waiter were extremely helpful. We ate very well with the Smart Box menu, and we could also order typical dishes à la carte (panissa and agnolotti del plin) for just a few euros more. If you want to visit the Oropa Sanctuary, Biella, and the Vercelli rice mills, it's worth a stop.
