The food was made fresh hot off the grill that's what I like about a burger! Not a burger less than precooked on the grill and thrown under a heat lamp and taste like shoe leather not that I've eaten sheet leather but damn anyway excellent place to eat

The nice Hispanic lady who works drive thru weeknights. Specifically 2/20/24 at 1030pm. Promote her. If you’re a customer give her a tip she deserves it. She’s so friendly, really tries hard to be good at her job, attention to detail, like I’ve never seen for a Simple drive thru job. From someone who came from the bottom and working hard at low jobs so I could be well reviewed, I respect the hustle 🫡

Reese’s pieces, PB&J’s and Paydays, These are just some of what she won’t eat, I wonder why she is this way, Maybe she’s just picky and petite? At Jack in the Box, we ordered milkshakes, She leaves, and I sprinkle bits of peanuts, All over her whipped cream for when she returns. After a sip, she complains her stomach hurts, Next, her throat begins to swell. It’s already too late, although I dial nine-one-one, The paramedics declared her gone at age twelve. I guess I should’ve known, My friend has a peanut allergy.

It was great customer service!! The employee Joel was amazing!! He helped us keep our large order straight and then delivered it to our tables with a smile. It is rare that I give a fast food place a 5 but this one deserves the rating.

The employees here are ALWAYS soooooo friendly. We keep coming back just because of that. The food is Jack in the Box food. Tastes like all the other JIBs but the personality makes all the difference.

I live in Carlsbad and eat here often. I do not know what "... it's the same place to place...” means. Every restaurant is different, even amongst franchises. This one definitely sets the bar high! The food is always hot and fresh. [Some people can not tell the difference, ...if you are one that can, just ask, they will deliver!] Staff is friendly. They have a clean dinning area and restrooms on a regular basis... which can be a challenge when you are as busy as this location is. I highly recommend this location. 👍 [No, I am not a paid rep. I just eat way too much fast food. Haha]

i go to this jack in the box location occasionally because it is close to my home and easy to get to. The food is always 'good' but never 'great' each time I go here I wonder why I didn't drive the extra 5 minutes and go to In n Out Mcdonalds or Carls Jr. I enjoyed the Jumbo Breakfast Platter and Croissant sandwiches while staying at the nearby Motel 6 recently. I actually visited the Jack in the Box at 3808 Plaza Drive in Oceanside. There was little vases with flowers and the staff was outstanding!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The gentleman that took my order was super nice and polite. If you live in the area or traveling by and want a quick bite I recommend stretching your legs and go on in. Food was fresh and delicious. I wouldve taken a picture but it was too delicious!

This is one of the best Jack in the Boxes in San Diego with regards to taste, clean facility inside, and staff friendlyness. Only downside is their EBT card reader has been down for months, so don't expect to be able to pay with your hot meal SNAP benefits.

The Butterey Jack was pretty freaking fantastic, whereas the Sourdough Jack left MUCH to be desired. I also love their shakes (wintertime brings my ultimate favorite: the Peppermint Oreo shake--what a treat!! -- perfect to get me in the mood for the holiday season, & every year I'm so bummed when they do away w/ it for spring, summer & autumn (meanies 😾) My favorite thing about Jack in the Box (well, the locations that have it anyway) r the high tech touch screen soda machines that have every kind of soda, lemonade, powerade, HI-C, root beer & tea a person could ever think of. If that wasn't cool enough, I can add flavor shots from a huge selection too!! I just tried vanilla-orange HI-C the other night & oh was it good! I also love the raspberry coke. My husband likes the vanilla root beer & cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper. As far as I'm concerned every Jack in the Box should come equipped with these machines. I hope a higher-up reads this!

Very nice staff was open x-mass so I could eat driving home from family. Gave my dog a jumbo jack with nothing but meat, cheese and bread :-) Made one really happy husky!

Always busy there night doesn't matter when you go to this place because I love everything on their menu especially their curly fries as an option plus the root beer amazeballs thank you so much guys keep it up

I believe they are now accepting EBT in case any one may need or want to know. Just about all hours of day and night you can enter the dining room for fast friendly service providing low priced menu options. Just like most Jack locations, the hours and possibly prices seem to attract those with no where else to go. Never bothered, or inconvenienced by others and always provided with great service.

Consistancy in service and a good tasty meal is what Jack offers. They are expanding there menu to a new level while keeping customer service at a service level that is impressive. It's that great menu when you're on the go or if you missed breakfast and need that meal ...they are always ready for you.

They do a good job of getting your food to you at a decent time and is always tasty just the way it should be. I eat at jack in the box 4-5 times a week. I always get a large oreo shake, witch is my favorite thing to get. They make the best oreo shake

The Carl's Jr. across the street wasn't open, even though it said its Drive-Thru is open 24 hours. This Jack in the Box was not listed on my Yelp App for some reason but I'm glad it was there. The food and service were good.

Not a bad Jack in the Box at all. The main dining area and bathroom have always been clean the several times I have been here. Really cant ask for more than that cuz the food is the same place to place.

I like certain menu items a lot. But the order was not accurate. This is a problem with drive-through as one doesn't notice the mistake till they get home with the food. Then you don't feel liker going back and having the meal in two sittings

Food was good. Having a large spider slowly web down to my table and walk across the table like It owned the place? Not so much. May be time to dust the exposed HVAC system. All in all 4/5 stars.

It's newly remodeled and its super neat, the only thing that cost it a star short of 5 was that I ordered the kid's 2 pc chicken tenders seems they were re-heated! Our other 3 burgers where fresh and delicious but the tenders got super hard and my little one lost interest so she ate out of my burger!

Jack's has delicious burgers for people on the run or on a budget. The world famous heart attack tacos are also pretty good for the price. Place is always packed with people of all walks of life. Not the cleanest dinner though. They could probably improve on that. Either way it ain't stopping nobody from ordering nor dinning in. Plenty parking, restrooms, and wheel chair access.

Restaurant didn't seem bust to me. Only one inside waiting. They knew I was there, we made eye contact , but waited a while to give my order. Went to bathroom, came back, saw same thing happen to gentleman looking get to someone's attention.

My bacon Ultimate cheeseburger was good, but it appeared smaller than what's advertised. Perhaps a size of a mcdouble cheeseburger. The 2 tacos 🌮 for $.99 cents were the best tacos of all the other Jack's. The customer service at the drive-thru was good 👍 too. I give 4 stars overall.

Ordered extra condiments on my burger it didn't come with the extras I asked for, but had the sticker. I was dining in so went to the counter there was the cashier and a guy sweeping. The guy sweeping went to get my extras. I don't know if he washed his hands but the cashier stated he used tongs so he didn't wash his hands. Just please wash your hands.

The food was decent at best. I was expecting it to be better than Wendy’s based on how high the price was but it wasn’t.

I used to love visiting Jack In the Box; the chicken fajita pitas are very yummy. But a few weeks ago I was eating lunch there when my friends walked in looking very upset. They went through the drive thru and to their dismay found a worm in one of their hamburgers. I saw it and let me tell you it was gross! I've been scared to eat there and have not gone back since. I was very disappointed in Jack In the Box.

A bit dirty at the tables. I think they are working with a small crew. You can do better, than going through the numbers. The manager needs to step it up.

The quality of food was poor. I had the bottom of the lettuce on my double jack. Sauce was dripping everywhere. I still love Jack N box over every other chain from this time period.

I visit this Jack in the Box often. And today to my surprise the experience was not so pleasant. The woman in the drive thru rushed to give me my food, said twice to me that “it’s all there”, I reminded her that she hasn’t given me my drink. Then I open up my bag and realize there is no napkins at all on a $23 order. The fries were kind odd tasting today as well. So something’s def changed, not used to this kind of service at this location.

Typical jack for the most part except for poor service. Ignored for 8 minutes before I could place order. Worker made eye contact a few times, but other things were more important. Burger was sitting behind counter getting cold while waiting for onion rings. They need a new system. Oreo shake was the only redeeming part of the meal

Don't have one in our hometown so was a rare trip. Disappointed that the potato wedges with bacon n cheddar are gone. Pita sandwich very dry but daughter was satisfied with her Jumbo Jack.

It's ok for fast food. No major points for anything or any super amazing prices. Its convenient and friendly and food is typically "fresh". I only do fast food if I'm starving or hung over. So then I'll get those 2 greasy tacos and their milkshakes are decent.

So I told the manager that they give me the wrong ice coffee yesterday and she says why I didn’t came back I told her I needed to leave soon so I came back today to see if they remake it she refused me to give me the new iced coffee she told me I needed to pay again I just looked at her mad because why they would be like that if pay for the iced coffee? Probably the coldest restaurant I’ve ever been into in my entire life. So cold that everyone in the kitchen had jackets on and I mean everyone. How am I supposed to eat warm food and feel comfortable when it’s freezing cold. Not that the reviews do anything, but here’s my opinion

Bathrooms were disgusting and filthy. Food was not even hot, fries were gross. Will NEVER eat there again.

Customer service rep was in a hurry and talked over us while we were ordering. As a result we didn't get 2 of the 4 hamburgers ordered. Aware these are tough times for staffing. Small children Don't understand when they have no hamburger...just fries for lunch☹

I’ve had jack in the box 3 times now and out of the 3 only one was a good experience! But I got cold/stale food on two occasions (midnight hours) and very bad customer service! I would only recommend going to a jack in the box during afternoon hours.

I've been to this restaurant 3 times in the last week and everytime I ordered the same breakfast the # 28. Everytime I've been charged a different amount. One day I paid 6.53 one day 7.53 and today 8.06. It's not a huge difference but get it together.

I ordered the #3 sour dough Jack. I requested my fries to be well done. Not a big deal, right! Plus no one was in the drive thru. Got my order and found my fries to be just normal. "I cannot eat fries undercooked" I'm driving to Oceanside and very busy. I break open the box for my sour dough burger and the___ker is seriously cold. I eat it and threw away the limp fries. About 3 hrs. Later my stomach started to cramp. Within 20 minutes of that time I was rushing for a bathroom and threw up and diearia at the same time. I just knew I shouldn't have eaten that burger from the very beginning. It was cold!!! The bread was semi hard. I here on the radio that people get million dollars for coffee being too hot. I was sick the entire night with a roll of toilet paper used.

Came to pick up an order. Drive-thru closed, dining room closed, lights on, employees in the house, no one available to explain. As soon as order cancelled I see that they're back in biz. Bummer for the person who ordered food.

1 star for the delicious and fresh food. Invited a friend here at around 1 p.m and a short manager lady always has a problem with him and gives a very ugly attitude and vibe. Ugly enough to peep around the front desk and look at him and say," Police Officer is right there, want to say something now?" Haha very unprofessional.

I've been told by jack in the box that they dont care if the food is hot, their managers and employees are trained to get the food out fast. You will get food poisoning if you continue to eat at Jack in the box. Their company does not train employees to follow Osha regulations or food handling protocol. Food is always old unless its fried. EVEN HOT FOOD IS OLD. Idk how they are still in business i tell everyone i know not to eat there. People wont stop until they end up with food poisoning themselves. I've gotten it several times from JITB. FROM DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. STAY AWAY!

Horrible customer service. Only went here because Vallarta express was closed never again. The girl in drive through was so rude got my whole order wrong than git an attitude when I said something. Not to mention while in drive through I was trying to order food and she came through speaker loud and rude saying just wait a minute dang blew my mind. As I work night only few places open at that time ill starve for I go back to this place

Order from here 3 times on uber eats over the past month. My order is always wrong and with excluded toppings. Employees need to learn how to read orders.

Aide the shift manager was rude to everyone, there were two guest in front of me and when asked to repeat the order she said she heard what they ordered, then the next guy placed his order she repeated it back and he said can I get the curly fries instead and she said well if that's what you wanted then you should have said that then when it came to my turn, I ordered the number 16 a side curly fries and side nacho tacos, when she repeated the order back to me she had replaced my eggroll with curly fries so I had to pay again to get the eggroll with my # 16 uggghh

I got an ultimate breakfast sandwich from this location and got food poisoning. Diarrhea and throwing up is really not fun. Avoid this location like the plague. Ruined my entire day.

This should be NO STARS!! Drive-thru girl was rude and I left the food I ordered because even though she said "sorry" after the fact, she was more concerned with the line, not the incident she caused. She said, "Well, I am sorry...that will be $5.90". The worst & first experience I ever had in a drive-thru. Not surprised it was in Carlsbad on Carlsbad Village street. Beware!

Overnight staff should be replaced with friendly people who actually want to work and be friendly to drive thru customers. Rude staff in the overnight drive thru. And the EBT machine seems to always be down in the drive thru after 10pm as well as the credit card machine. Most of the time they greet me with "We are only accepting exact cash for transactions at the moment." It is not a pleasant experience ever when visiting here in the drive thru late night hours.

We did a drive thru, my hubby is really hungry and i was craving! we decided to go here in jack and the box and ordered food. At first we had to go back because my hubbys sandwich wasnt in the bag and we got an old onion rings mixed with nuggets in it instead! yuck!! 🤮 and i was craving for some chicken strips and sprite since im pregnant so i tried the strips and its really warm which i like but the taste is so weird like they ddnt change their oil or something so i ended up throwing it away!!! And just ate the churros and it wasnt good either 😭 and then when i tried the sprite it tasted like a lemony soap with sprite i mean common! Like we trusted javk in the box to be a good food and all we get is wasted money. I’ve cried because me prego and having to crave something and not being able to eat it suckss!!! I hope you guys clean your tools properly. I hate to say this but i might never wana try to eat at jack in the box again. Worst experience!

These guys are notorious for forgetting things on sandwiches from bacon to sausage to even cheese or lettuce they have even put big onions slices on my breakfast sandwiches before that's just disgusting. and they need to change out the oil more frequently sometimes the hash browns and fries taste disgusting also when I order comes they give this water down gross tasting voke like they don't want to pay for the syrup it's like like 10% come syrup and 90% water down gross soda.

I went in place was empty around 9 am and was standing in line waiting to talk to register clerk who clearly looked like a shift leader because her t-shirt was different than everyone else. She was on the phone talking to someone look towards my direction. I waited a few minutes but she was having contraction of her life. Eventually I got tired of waiting and walked up the st to French Cafe and they where extremely kind and curious.

I went to this Jack In The Box this morning after 6 am. From my truck I watched the employee lock the front door so I could not get in. The posted lobby hours are 6am to 10pm. At that point I used the drive thru ordering 2 large cups of coffee. I was going to order two breakfast as well. However, upon placing my order the employee asked me to repeat my order three times. She finally got the hint when I told her in Spanish it was the last time I would give the order. Because she locked me out, and then played games while ordering, I ordered 2 cups of coffee, and nothing more. Either hire employee's who can do the job or close the store.

I’m usually not one to leave reviews! especially bad ones but today was the last straw! I go here every time the Padres hit a home run (almost every time they play) for the deal but I have literally NEVER gotten what I ask for. I’m not sure what pot smoking kid they have back there making the burgers but I checked the screen to make sure it was all good today! 2 Jumbo jacks No Mayo, no ketchup, no pickles and payed extra for cheese. I got 2 burgers with lettuce ONLY… do yourself a favor and don’t go to any jack in the box, every other one seems to have the same issue.

Food was done and too quick and was cold. Wasn't fresh. And manager was NOT friendly but hey, not very many people in north/east county are friendly... Just being honest, so the jack in the box manager doesn't fall far from the Carlsbad tree.

Lady at window accused me of ordering a hot coffee, I repeatedly told her I ordered an iced Carmel coffee, to which she yelled at and told me to leave and never come back. She was beyond disrespectful and when I asked to see a different employee or management she said I’m the manager and the only employee. Time to finally ban Jack in the Box forever! One back-too-back disappointment after another! Went to Jack in the Box for curly fries on Carlsbad Village Drive after a lousy experience at Avenida Encinas location since in the area. Received a bag of overcooked curly fry ‘pieces’ and the entire bottom of the bag was soaked in grease. Four dollars for garbage. I asked for a refund. Asked cashier SUSANA if she’d be okay with it as a customer and she gave me attitude. SUSANA kept talking over me. raised her voice and repeatedly talked over me, “Okay. Thank You, Okay. Thank You…” each time I spoke. UNBELIEVABLE. Jack in the Box Carlsbad Avenida Encinitas a hour earlier: Ordered a Sourdough Jack and small curly fries. I watched the cashier scoop what was left of curly fries from corners of tray. They looked like they’d been there awhile. I asked if they were fresh and he ignored me until I asked for the 3rd time. He said “they were in”? Five minutes later, the cook dumped a bag of frozen curly fries into the fryer AFTER my burger was done. The cashier threw the old bag of fries away that he intended to give me had I not said anything. I asked for a refund for the fries. The cashier kept ignoring me and was a zombie who didn’t give a crap. Two previous experiences: Sourdough Jack with un toasted bread and cold. Next visit: 4 tacos were stale and cold. The cost of fast food is bad enough when food is as expected. And the wage keeps increasing for fast food workers because?? UNBELIEVABLE. Good riddance forever Jack!!!

Gave me the wrong order twice! and the second time , the tacos were super stale ! Seriously. First of how are you going to give me the wrong thing and then when I go back to fix it, not only is it wrong again, it's obviously been sitting out for a while . Edit:went back one time after and ordered potato wedges with cheese and bacon, no bacon , so I drove back and re ordered. Assistant manager said she had fixed it and gave me a new order again , no bacon . Maybe one small crumb . They acted like they had dumped a whole bunch and I had to squint my eyes to the the speck they had put t . Asked for a refund and won't be returning. Gave me the wrong order and refused to fix it. I ordered the Honey Garlic Sriracha Crispy Chicken wings in the drive through but I received Buffalo wings so I parked and went inside with my receipt. The guy at the counter could smell the Buffalo sauce too but when we asked the kitchen they were adamant that it was honey garlic sriracha sauce. Thankfully the young man at the counter gave me two packets of the correct sauce which tasted completely different from the sauce on the wings. Unfortunately the only option I had was to wipe off my wings with a napkin and use the correct sauce.

Worst experience I've ever had, never have I waited 10 min just to be acknowledged that I was at the counter. I had to open my mouth ten minutes after they saw me walk in. And when I finally got the lady's attention, she said it'll be a few minutes. Mind you, there were only 2 orders on the order screen and 1 car in the drive thru. There were 3 ladies working and the dining room was empty. It wasn't busy and the arrogance of the lady working the counter to ignore me while she kept her back to me is unacceptable. Maybe the dining room shouldn't be open if all they do is worry about the drive thru.

Very rude woman working at 3am on 05/07. Giving 5 stars for food because I’ve come here for 20 years and the food is always good. The woman working the late night shift at Jack N Box ignored me at the drive through. I went to the window and she asked me if I had a mobile order. I didn’t have a mobile order. She refused to take my order at 3AM. I informed her the hours were at 3:30AM. I begged her for food and she said she wouldn’t do it. Absolutely rude and ridiculous. I will be contacting corporate because she is not upholding the business hours and she’s rude. I work service industry as well and just got off work and was so hungry. Rude people shouldn’t be working in this industry and for $20 an hour she should be able to be POLITE and uphold the business hours that are on the window. So sad and hungry.

In a word: gross. Rotten lettuce (be sure to check before consuming) and what appears to be a formed meat slab? It didn't even appear to be ground beef but rather "meat" that had been molded to produce the illusion of a ground beef patty. The texture of the "patty" was smooth, dry and rubbery on the surface, like a hot dog, with a spongy internal consistency that also resembled hot dog meat, as if it had been poured into shape from a meat slurry. This doesn't even meet my general concept of an actual hamburger. The "Ribeye All American Burger" was $5.59 for the sandwich alone. I waited more than 5 minutes for it at the drive-through window when the rest of the restaurant was empty at 7:45pm, so my sample was apparently "freshly" prepared. Yikes.
