Excellent spot! I visited for lunch and it was phenomenal! For starters, the server greeted me with in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I sat on the bar stools facing the beach and it was such a delight; the cool breeze, relaxing music and the sound of waves splashing in the background. I ordered the server’s recommended meal: the sea bass. It was a huge portion! And it was delicious! Server spoke very little English; but I highly recommend! The prices were great!
Great place to eat … excellent service
Great place to eat, excellent service and the food is fantastic, authentic local flavor.
Great food. I had a well seasoned/tasty fish entree. It's two levels, near beach.
Inexpensive and Delicious.. Customer Service was excellent

Great food and location
Absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Perla Negra and the location was perfect, just meters from the beach and the local high street with all amenities. The host Angela was most charming along with her team of staff. Great food and service and will be retuning very soon. Would highly recommend a visit to this establishment. Many thanks John Hesketh / United kingdom.
This is a review for the restaurant. This is one of my most favourite and most recommended beach restaurants where you can enjoy the famous Cartagena speciality of fried fish, patacones, coconut rice and seafood soup the way it was intended : with sand between your toes and ocean breeze hitting your face. The food is always great as is the atmosphere and the cervezas bien frías but the biggest reason I recommend this restaurant is because it has fixed price menus that aren't designed to rip off tourists. Unfortunately the majority of other restaurants in La Boquilla will seat you and take your orders without showing you a menu.. Don't worry! they'll tell you. And then the bill arrives and it's more expensive than the top rated restaurants in downtown. This is a huge huge shame. La Boquilla is a beautiful community that needs tourist dollar to survive but unfortunately thanks to an attitude of win whatever you can today, damn the consequences in the future, they are destroying their own livelihood as tourists who are made aware of the reputation for scamming look for more hassle free options. La Perla Negra is to my knowledge the only restaurant that bucks the local trend of inflated prices and shady strategies.. You can sit down here and order off the reasonably priced menu stress-free. I have also recommended LA Perla Negra as a beautiful destination for relaxed beach wedding and have received excellent feedback.
This is my favorite beach restaurant....you going to get the most bang for your buck here..... wonderful place.... I have been probably 5 times

Nothing better than having lunch along the beach. Food was delicious . Great value for money
“The black pearl” authentic food, beautiful scenery and great service! Was brought here by our tour guide with Experience Real Cartegena and it did not disappoint

Stopped in for an early dinner with my brother, since we were visiting Cartagena. Delicious food and great portions. My Lemonade was refreshing. My fish was absolutely delicious.

La Perla Negra sits front the beach with a lovely breeze on a covered deck. We went upstairs to be seated and ordered our drinks and food. After about a 20 minute wait our drinks came. We ordered either a margarita, bottled Aguilla(cerveza) or a mojito. The beer was good, the mojito was delicious, but the margaritas was blue and tasted like a Gatorade slush with salt added. As the ice melted it started to taste consumable. We had the snapper which was DELICIOUS, and it came with plantain fritters which were better than we had on the island. The rest of us had garlic shrimp with pasta which was delicious and as well. Only half the table received the soup that was included with the meal and they offered the forgotten ones the soup after we finished our meal which we declined. There was no running water here so we couldn't use the bathroom and flush or wash our hands but I had lysol and a huge bottle of Germx hand sanitizer and gladly shared so we could have germ free hands before we consumed our meal. They did have a bucket of water outside the bathrooms near the bar so im not sure if they expect people to walk back and forth to fill the tank and flush or use as a hand wash area but we opted not to.

The food was great but the service it is sketchy. I asked if they accept credit card and did not mention any extra charges when I tried to pay they wanted to charge 26000 credit card fees and 35000 for an automatic tip without asking. It is crazy how good restaurants can lose business by tricking customers.
Its just a wooden shack turned into a restaurant. There are a lot of tables available but service was very slow when we went, on the weekend. Food menu is nothing different from what is offered in the majority of restaurants. If you are vegan or even vegetarian there is a very big chance you'll be disappointed. Located on a very long strech of beach that has turned into a somewhat congested sandy road with a bus route and other traffic going back and forth, it is apt for a lot of breeze and sand to sift through the wooden walls on the restaurant. And the food...well, we ended up complaining and getting a complementary discount.

Its my first restaurant review ever. I ordered simply , basic chicharones de pescado. It supposed to be clean , pure fillet breaded and that's it. I ve got lower fish belly pieces with fish bones, fatty skin and minimal amount of meat . Simply not edible. The waitress was v kind and visibly ashamed of that. The manager didnt care a shit. I paid and left. Also I was mislead when entering a place of a price of beer. Just waste of entire afternoon going to Boquilla. Ugly beach and service like that. Mike

Horrible food, horrible service. Only good thing is beer was cold and decent atmosphere. Fish was very old and ocercooked and they never even brought second entree. Calamari fried in old grease and ceviche not fresh. Waiter never checked back for anything.
Please don't go there!!! It's in la Boquilla.... Beware, "la Boquilla!!!"... Stay in Crespo.... Service, terrible..... I went for lunch and turned into a Dinner.... Nombe!
Worst experience ever, I do not recommend coming here at all. The person in the cashier was rude, we ordered our food and it did not arrive for over an hour. When we asked the workers, they kept mentioning that the food “will arrive in 5 minutes” and was rude when and very unprofessional when responding. DO NOT COME HERE
