What a find in Sassella. Unplanned lunch here with my family and we were blown away with the food, service and wines. We did lunch with wine tasting and its amazing! We loved the food but even more so the wine. Walter, the owner of both the restaurant and vineyard shared with us, each wines that he made and you can hear the deep passion he had for each bottle of wines. I loved all his wine but is extremely taken by the resivera which is made from fruits from vine that is 114 years old....great complexity yet elegant. The Sforzato is also good and not too heavy. Walter brought us for a tour of his vineyards spread across Sassella and also his beautiful cellar just across the restaurant. If you are ever near here, this is a must go surely!

The atmosphere is unique, with a classic feel and a modern feel. It's clean and comfortable. We had appetizers, a first course, and a second course. Everything was excellent, with good-quality ingredients. The staff and owner were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent restaurant/pizzeria. We tried pizzoccheri, porcini and Bitto ravioli, and a beef tagliata. Everything was truly excellent; the pizzas were gorgeous. The dining room was lovely, with a slightly more traditional feel, while the one we were in was a bit different in style, more modern. The cheese appetizers with jam and honey were also very good. Generous portions.

We dined at Ristorante La Tavernetta twice. The food and desserts were excellent... but what we really appreciated were the wines, an excellent rosé, not to mention the "rupestre" red, all of which they produce. It would be wonderful to find Walter's kindness and friendliness in every restaurant.

A very beautiful restaurant in Valtellina, with an elegant yet simple location. The pizzoccheri were truly excellent, among the best I've ever tasted. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The view from the windows is also splendid, perfect for a relaxing dinner with a beautiful panorama. Recommended!

...a very nice place, with a beautiful view... as for the dishes, we have a wide choice between seafood and mountain menus, with an eye on tradition... excellent, the selection of local wines... fantastic... we will definitely be back... PS: also check out the pizzas, they are worth it...

What can I say? Fabulous. We had dinner here on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is full of windows, so it's very bright. The staff is friendly, kind, polite, and super helpful. The food and wine are truly excellent. The wines are from their own Menegola winery and are truly good and full-bodied. They have a rosé that will amaze you! We've also stayed there, and they have gorgeous, modern, and clean rooms. Definitely an excellent restaurant where I would return a thousand times, both for the food and the staff!

Nice quiet atmosphere, delicious food and great wines. We had the tagliolini ai finferli e pancetta croccante, gnocchi alla tavernetta and the typical meat skew. All great!

Bel locale, con vista suggestiva sul fondo valle. Piatti molto vari e ben cucinati, molto buona anche la pizza anche se - gusto personale chiaramente - non amo molto l'impasto così sottile e croccante. È il ristorante della cantina menegola quindi si può fare degustazione dei loro ottimi vini, ascoltando i proprietari che illustrano qualità e tipologia dei loro prodotti. Prezzi un filino alti ma la qualità si paga.

The food is excellent, although I found the meat I tried a bit unusual, but I'm no expert. The staff is courteous and friendly, but sometimes you have to remember that it's not a good idea to joke with everyone, as it can be a bit intrusive. The atmosphere is very quaint and pleasing to the eye.

Beautiful location, perfect service. We had dinner with friends, choosing seafood. Excellent food. I had a seafood appetizer and for the first course, sea bass cappellacci with clams and shrimp, all delicious. Fantastic rosé wine. Friendly owner. We'll be back again.
