Never actually eaten in the restaurant so cannot speak to that but have picked it up for take out many times and it’s my favorite in the area. I drive several towns over to get it because it’s worth it. Food is actually flavorful and has spice when it says it will. Portion sizes are decent as well.

Don't listen to these 2 star reviews. People writing, the fgood was good, then giving it 2 stars....seriously, could you be more inconsistent? Other people showing up at 8:30 and expecting to dine in when they close at 9. Where were you raised? This place is fine, their food is good. It usually comes out pretty fast, the wait staff is never rude and has a pretty good memory of what we asked. I will say, they could be a little more present and not have headphones in if helping customers. But other than that, I support this local place and have yet to come across an issue with them.

I stopped by Chada Thai for lunch. I was in a hurry, so I asked the staff to bring my to go container when he brought my food. He was very attentive and he accommodated my request. He also asked if I needed to go cup for my drink as well, which I didn’t even think to ask. The food was served quickly and was delicious. I had the Pad See Ew. The noodles were perfectly cooked, firm and slightly chewy with the flavorful dark soy sauce. Pro tip- you pay at the cash register. If I am up in that area again, I will definitely be back.

I visit this Thai restaurant almost every day, and their Khao Soi is, without a doubt, one of my favorite dishes. This rich, coconut milk-based soup is the epitome of comfort, with its creamy, aromatic broth packed with flavor. The egg noodles are perfectly cooked, offering a satisfying texture that complements the smoothness of the soup. The chicken is always tender and juicy, making each bite a delight. What sets this Khao Soi apart is the balance of spices. The soup is subtly sweet yet has just enough heat to keep things exciting without overwhelming the palate. The fresh toppings—crispy fried noodles, cilantro, and lime—add a wonderful crunch and brightness, providing a contrast to the velvety richness of the broth. It’s clear that the ingredients are always fresh, and the dish is consistently flavorful. Aside from the food, the service here is excellent. The staff is always friendly, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that feels like a second home. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, the Khao Soi will leave you craving more. I can honestly say this place has become my go-to spot for Thai food, and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!

Food:4.5/5 Ambiance:4/5 Order as shown in pictures Golden balls Veg basil fried rice 🍚 Pannag curry with rice We reached restaurant at 8:30PM. 30 minutes before the closing time. Last call for food n order is 8:35pm so we had to be quick to order. All the things that we ordered exceeded our expectations. Golden balls are oily and hence 4.5 and not 5 out of 5. Basil friend rice has that smoky taste and perfect texture. You can ask for spice tray like we did and it goes well with friend rice. Curry I ordered at medium spice was so good. It is one of the recommended dishes from my side. Perfect balance of sweet, sour and spice.

We’ve been coming to this place for 5 years now. We support this business and believe in their food. Theres some changes in the menu we noticed but they need to adapt to the changing times. They put the same heart in their food and that I will gladly pay for. Stay Strong Chada Thai!

Space is nice. The food was amazing! Glad to find close something close to what I experience from California. However, I was disappointed to see a $2 charge over white rice fornthe curry order I put in. Maybe a bowl comes with the order first, then let me the customer add some more rice for $2.00. Our server was nice and very insightful. Would still recommend it if you like Thai..

What we have had in food there is great, but I have had the same server multiple times and their service sucks. By the time she brings your food your drink is 3/4 gone. You don't see her until your meal is complete at which time she ask if you want a refill. Last time I had her as a waitress she never asked about a refill, just brought my food and never saw her again.

Twice now the entrees I’ve ordered here were mediocre. The level two spicy meals we ordered tonight were totally different in spicy was level, so I suggest adding your own spices to less spicy meals. Super understaffed, so much so that the one waiter working tonight would speed around with his head down so he wouldn’t have to fill up our waters or have to stop to do something else. My Tom Kha soup is the best I’ve had in Austin though.

We’ve been coming here for years and love the food (our fav is the Tom Saab soup)! Unfortunately the servings sizes are abysmal! I paid $15 plus tax and gratuity for a little over half of a small container of food (see pics)!

Worst experience. I ordered pad kee mao, they literally just combined boiled noodles, veggies and tofu, no sauce, nothing. It was so dry, you can even see it in pictures. And oh they just threw in ground chilli paste for spice

Running Deep

On Thursday for lunch, we were in Cedar Park for an appointment and were craving Thai food. We decided to try Cha-da Thai restaurant in Cedar Park. It was not busy, and we were told to sit wherever we wanted. The interior could use a refresh and a good deep cleaning, but it was not bad enough that we didn’t want to eat there. Service was not the high point of our dining experience. Both servers seemed to be new, and the service was inconsistent. We started with the Golden Bags appetizer. It comes with four pieces and is a nice small appetizer for two people. We really liked the cucumber sweet and sour sauce that was served with it. We ordered off the lunch menu and my wife got the Pad Thai with shrimp, and I got the Panang Curry with chicken. The lunch plate comes with either soup of the day or a salad. The salad was a small side salad with peanut sauce dressing, which was okay but not our favorite. The soup was Tom Kha soup and was creamy with mushrooms and chicken. I liked it more than my wife did. The Pad Thai was a large portion and was very saucy, which we like. It was sweater that we have gotten at other Thai restaurants, but overall, it was okay. Because of the sweetness, we would not get it again. The curry dish was creamy and loaded with chicken. I would get it again. We didn’t ask for spicy and the server didn’t ask what spice level we wanted, but both dishes were not spicy, at all. There's a spice tray that they will bring to your table so you can add more spices if you want. Overall, Cha-da Thai restaurant is an okay option if you are craving Thai food. Just be prepared to deal with inconsistent service or get the food to go. Improving the front of house will go a long way in making a better dining experience. Sadly, for us, we'll look elsewhere for Thai food.

Food took forever!! We arrived at 4:54 pm and got our food at 5:35pm and there was only 1 table of 4. Pad Thai was horrible so sweet that it tasted like ketchup. First time was amazing but this time was such a horrible experience. Never going back!

Worst Thai food I’ve had in a long time. The chicken in the noodles was extremely dry and chewy, and the noodles themselves were bland and flavorless. The curries were also disappointing and lacked depth. We spent nearly $100 and it honestly felt like money down the drain. I would not recommend this place.

NEVER GOING BACK. I’ve been a regular customer here for over a year and usually enjoy the food. But recently I had a disappointing experience because of how it was handled (or not handled) by management. I ordered two portions of panang curry, and one was noticeably underfilled - only about 2/3 full. I called the restaurant the same day, and the staff (who are always kind and respectful) said they would pass the issue to the manager over text since they weren’t in. I waited for a callback that never came. I called again the next day, and again the next.. same story: polite staff, no action from the manager. Four days later, still no response. It’s incredibly frustrating that the manager seems completely unresponsive, could not care less and completely lacks accountability. I appreciate the staff who tried to help, but they clearly have no authority to resolve even simple issues. That’s on management. This restaurant and its customers deserve better than this manager (who is never even at the restaurant btw).
