Today was our 7th day of vacation. We've already been to Uxmal, Progreso, Chelem, Chuburná, and Mérida, and nowhere have we been treated as well as here in Celestún! Brothers Juan and Jesús are the best, super friendly and with super nice personalities. Excellent service is complemented by delicious flavor! Seriously, try everything you can! There were 15 of us in my family, and everyone loved it. Try the shrimp and crab empanadas (quesadillas). The best! Ask them about the boat rides; for 15 of us, they charged $300 per person (two boats). Check out the photos so you don't end up sitting somewhere else.

Very delicious and fresh seafood and fish at surprisingly affordable prices! My husband got the pan fried whole fish, and I had shrimp in a flavorful tomato sauce. Both were delicious! The restaurant itself has no ambience, but we ate on the thatched roof back patio with an open view of the beach and the aquamarine sea. I HIGHLY recommend La Boya.

We went to dinner at La Boya and got front row seats to the most beautiful evening scenery. In this small fishing town you can find real beauty and normal mexican food for the normal price. My quesadilla with crab meat was good but my girlfriend got fish fillet with way too much oil and fat, plus the garlic that was in the sauce was completely burned. The lady serving us was very nice and helpful. Overall it was a good evening in this not so people polluted place :)

The shrimp were fresh, the ceviche was delicious. If you walk through the restaurant, you can walk right to the beach where there are tables. If you are looking for a place where they cook local fish and seafood, this is the place to go.

After 50 minutes, they gave me a cold, stiff fish for $250, and without a tortilla, he wanted to give me cold ones, and he got angry when I exchanged them. First, he wanted the $180 upfront. The possible cause could be poor hygiene in food preparation and proper storage or refrigeration, maintaining the correct cold chain.
