We loved it! We called and they very kindly gave us a reservation quickly; we were able to park in their parking lot since everything was full. The cocido soup was a 10/10, and Yoanny's service was another 10/10; he was always smiling.
I visited for lunch after a circular hike starting and ending at Casa Cirilo, and it's a delightful place. I'll definitely be back. Our waiter was excellent. Note that you need to make a reservation in advance to get free parking.
Very good food and the staff is amazing. They've now implemented access controls to charge for entry into the Dehesas, but if you reserve a table at the restaurant, they'll let you park in the restaurant's own parking lot.
We ate at Casa Cirilo after a hike. The food was delicious and the desserts were amazing! The Manchego cheesecake was indescribable! Paulo was our waiter, and he was charming, very friendly, and his recommendations were spot-on.
The bar is fine, decent, but if you go up to the restaurant, you won't believe it. It's simply spectacular, all the food exquisite!!! The service is excellent. If you're going, book a table and you'll save on parking. In 2024, it costs €8 per car...
Excellent food and service! I recommend the cabrito, which is spectacular, although anything from the menu or a recommendation will not disappoint. The excellent service and personal attention are also a highlight. Highly recommended. We'll be back soon.
A great place. I've given the location a lower rating because getting from there to the center of Madrid by public transport is impractical, but since the goal is supposedly to be in the middle of the mountains, it's up to each individual. The food is excellent, and the zip lines and other facilities nearby are a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
We went to celebrate the birthday of a friend who knew the place, and we were delighted. When we made the reservation, we didn't know if we could bring our dogs, but they told us it was no problem, as they're part of the family. When we arrived, they were very attentive and friendly. We had a few beers before eating at the bar, and they served us the first dish you could see as an appetizer. The tapas were delicious, with chickpeas, meat, and vegetables. Afterwards, they took us upstairs to the dining room, and since we were the first, they gave us a choice of table for four, whichever we wanted. We sat next to the wall so the dogs could relax and unwind. We ordered tomato and fried fish for snacks, both of which were very good. For the main course, we had steak for four, which was flavorful and tender. For dessert, we had Grandma's cakes with cream and chocolate, accompanied by an anise-flavored cookie. With the coffee, they asked us if we'd like a shot, which they offered us. They have parking right next door, and if you arrive early and make a reservation, you can get it in their dedicated parking lot, as long as there's space.
The waiter's service is wonderful. He has great recommendations and is pleasant. The food is excellent, especially the oxtail millefeuille. Ideal for large groups and celebrations. Huge dining room. A good choice for lunch after a mountain hike.
We stayed one night and everything was perfect. The entire staff is extremely attentive, and both the room and the bar-restaurant are very nice. It's definitely a place I'd love to return to and I recommend it if you're looking to stay surrounded by nature.
All the staff treated us with such kindness and care. Excellent service. The hotel is wonderful, in a quiet location surrounded by nature. The room we were given was spotlessly clean and had a very rural and cozy decor. Being right next to the pools, we walked there in no more than five minutes. We highly recommend this hotel! We are very happy and eager to return.
I've been going to this amazing place for years, but we recently held an event there with them and I couldn't be happier! They're all wonderful and helped in every way they could! And all the guests left absolutely delighted! Thank you so much, Miguel!
We were a hiking group from Palma de Mallorca during the Easter holidays. We felt right at home, the friendly atmosphere was superb. We were grateful for everything, both the food and the delicious and plentiful breakfast... highly recommended. 👌 Thank you for making us feel at home!
It had been a while since our last visit, and we really enjoyed the experience again. We had dinner with some friends, and the owner, Miguel, served us. He's a true professional with over 56 years of experience, and that kind of experience really shows in his service and friendliness. The dinner lived up to our expectations (ham croquettes, fried pork belly, kid goat, and hake). We were so full after such a wonderful meal that we couldn't order dessert. Afterward, we chatted with Miguel, who told us the story of the restaurant—he's the fourth generation to run it—and we had a very pleasant conversation. I'm already looking forward to going back.
Great experience Pablo the waiter, one of those who no longer exist, took a while but always with a smile, it's a pleasure to wait for whatever it is, very tasty food, very good recommendations, we will definitely return and
Neither here nor there. The best thing was the company, honestly. The woman who served us was a bit grumpy, dictating payment rules for a group, and they were slow to serve. There was hardly a single appetizer worth the wait. But... it's the only place to go in the area. By the way, it's open late, and the outside bathrooms are closed too.
What a fantastic discovery for excellent service from highly professional waiters and spectacular food made with a lot of care. Everything is good!
Good coffee to wake up
The best place for lunch, dinner, or drinks. The service is friendly and efficient, the food is delicious, homemade, and high-quality, and the homemade desserts are fantastic! A 10 out of 10, even though the maximum rating here is 5. By the way, the photo of the scrambled eggs looked amazing, and we remembered that after we had a bite... hahaha
A charming and essential place after a good route through CERCEDILLA!!!!
It's the only one in the area, very close to the Las Berceas Natural Pool. I recommend trying their torreznos.
Ideal for having a drink after a hike in the countryside.
Good service and quality food. Recommended.
Very good service (thanks Paolo) and everything was delicious, especially the sweetbreads and the goat...
It's a traditional hotel-restaurant, located in an incomparable setting in the Fuenfria district of Cercedilla. It's great when you're finishing a hike and it's a bit chilly. Arrive and order a warm broth with sherry. I'm not forgetting the Asturian beans, which are delicious! They have small portions you can have downstairs, and if you want to dine à la carte, they have a lounge upstairs. Everything is delicious and good value.
The restaurant is very nice, with private parking and very attentive and friendly service. The food is quality and plentiful. We recommend sharing the main courses if you're not too hungry, as they're hearty. Their signature dish is the judiones (beans). They have several dining rooms; we tried the upstairs dining room, which offers views of the grove from the windows.
We haven't stayed there yet, but we do plan to in the spring.
Starting point of our excursion: Puerto de la Fuenfria, Abantos, Duratón Trails
Wonderful location, excellent service, and high-quality portions. The cured beef was outstanding.
It's a quiet place during the week. Quality food, served simply but tastefully. Both the restaurant and the terrace have great views of the mountains. It offers a house menu for 30 euros and a children's menu at a reasonable price.
Well, you get a great meal after a great ride, and a great breakfast beforehand. And if they also rush to return your bag, well, hey, no complaints. Thanks a million.
Magnificent terrace and lounge. Excellent traditional and mountain menu. Excellent roasted kid with delicious baked potatoes. A heavenly setting in Las Dehesas.
Very well located site in the Cercedilla meadow
A fantastic spot in the heart of the Sierra de Madrid mountains. A cold beer and a slice of Spanish omelet and you're guaranteed to recover.
I went to the terrace, very pleasant to finish the hiking route and to eat well, very good presentation
You can't leave without trying the judiones
Awesome beer 🍻. If you're climbing from where you parked to go to the pools, which is a rooftop, it's the perfect place to replenish electrolytes with a good beer, and don't feel bad; you've sweated it out along the way, believe me.
A classic from the Madrid mountains. The exquisite oxtail.
A magnificent place surrounded by nature, a luxury. We eat there every time we go. We haven't stayed there, but it must definitely be a wonderful place to wake up. The owner is a great person.
It's a quiet, very large place, but with excellent service. They have a lot of experience and a very good menu. An ideal day out, visiting the forest after a very interesting meal.
We were out mountain biking in the area and arrived for lunch. They stored our bikes in a secure area, gave us a table in the upstairs dining room, and provided excellent service. The food was very good, but the service and attention to detail were outstanding. We'd definitely go back.
We had a wonderful meal and were very well looked after by Paulo. We felt right at home. The food was delicious and plentiful. One minor complaint is that the prices may be a bit high, but that's typical for these remote mountain restaurants. We'll definitely be back!
Very friendly and attentive staff. Everything was exquisite. The price was a bit high.
Perfectly located for anyone hiking in the area, we stopped for a quick bite. The waiter who served us was very friendly and brought us a small tapa with our drinks, which was delicious. The sandwiches were very good (one with black pudding and one with pork loin, with extra cheese), although the bread could have been cooked a little longer; it would have been perfect. The natilla was truly excellent! We didn't try the hotel or the restaurant, but when we visit the Sierra de Guadarrama again, we'll definitely be back.
Spectacular torreznos!
We went with our dog and sat on the terrace. The service was good and fast, the dishes were well-presented and very tasty. Homemade desserts.
nature
We went for a celebratory lunch. Everything was great, very good cabrito, and the staff was super friendly. Great value for money. We'll be back.
Incredible
Excelent place on a privileged location on the mountains. Food is always good and waiters are always gentle and nice. It is always a pleasure ro come here.
Historic restaurant, a landmark in Cercedilla. Starting point for numerous beautiful routes through the surrounding mountains of Madrid.
Perfect service, quality at reasonable prices, highly recommended
Expensive but good place
Very nice and cozy. The food is good. The only thing is that it's too expensive for my budget.
The food was amazing!! The oxtail and the beef steak were divine!
A very cozy fireplace is shown in the room, but it's later condemned and unusable. It's true that it was very cold, and the owner kept the heater on all night, which was a very nice touch. Cooking utensils were scarce; we had to buy a plastic juicer from a Chinese store. Otherwise, the room and bathroom were very clean.
The food was good, although a bit overpriced. The service was good, although the cachopo had spicy chorizo mince, which overpowered any other flavor (even the blue cheese). As a courtesy, they served us a bottle of very good organic cider, and the best part was the cheesecake (although it's better without the jam).
The fattest guy is very kind and friendly, but the oldest and baldest guy has a rather unfriendly face. The breakfasts are good, as are the desserts, except for the cheesecake we ordered, which was goat cheese (too strong for my taste). I like the rustic, old-fashioned, yet elegant atmosphere.
I went in September with a group of 160 people, and everything went perfectly. The students loved the food and felt comfortable in the upstairs lounge. They were able to repeat as many times as they wanted, both at dinner and at the breakfast we had. The adults also enjoyed the service and quality of the food. Miguel and Pepa were very attentive and helpful, assisting us with anything we needed. I will definitely return.
We had a beer here after our hike through the Cercedilla meadows. The terrace is nice, but what we loved most was Cirilo's friendly, feathered robin, who always came to greet us.
Good treatment and great torreznos 😋
It's very well located, surrounded by nature. It's a good starting point for hiking. We were treated very well and the food was delicious.
Perfect spot for a beer and snacks after a hike.
Good service, there are many waiters, although it is somewhat expensive.
Nothing beats enjoying an exquisite meal in a warm restaurant in the middle of a snowy mountain. The service from the resort's waiters was spectacular, very personal, and they recommended house specialties as well as other dishes not listed on the menu. I recommend rice pudding for dessert.
Nice restaurant, good food, friendly waiters, nice country setting.
Large terrace for a drink before or after a mountain hike.
We enjoyed a simple meal on the pleasant terrace, where the waiters treated us wonderfully. It's not a cheap place, but it's almost the only one in the area. If you choose wisely, you'll enjoy it.
A great place to enjoy a good barbecue and top-quality meat. In a privileged location in the Sierra de Madrid.
Ideal to finish the route
A great place for a mountain getaway. Good food and good service. Well worth a visit.
Today with the snowfall it was the best place by far
Good food in a beautiful setting
Fast service. Acceptable quality and price considering there are no other places to eat nearby.
The tapas were very good, as was the service. The prices were a bit high. The place is very cozy, and the terrace is very relaxing when the weather is nice.
Good value for money with good service. They serve a good portion size. We were offered shots...
Well, I can only comment on the surroundings and the coffee we had there while waiting for my granddaughter, who had been hiking with her scout group. A great atmosphere and a spacious outdoor terrace.
After a long walk, a delicious barbecue. In a beautiful location.
Never disappoints!! Great place, once again. Especially the oxtail millefeuille 😋
We stopped for lunch at this restaurant, which was quite busy, so we decided to give it a try. The waiters were very busy and took a long time to serve us; in the end, someone from another table lent us the menu. We ordered a calamari sandwich for me and a potato omelet with green pepper for my companion. They were quite tasty, although it was a shame the bread was rather white and undercooked. It looked like it had been baked in a rush. Also, they didn't provide napkins; we had to ask for them, and again, it took a long time to bring them. Similarly, to pay the bill, I had to go inside to avoid waiting too long. In short, the food was good, and the dishes on other tables looked very appetizing, but the service could be much better.
The food was good, the location was nice, and the staff were generally very nice. The most unpleasant detail was a waiter who, upon asking for the bill and seeing that he had accidentally overcharged us for a cake, admitted the error and told us he would take the cake away but would now charge us for the bread, which we understood was included since it wasn't included in the initial bill. A nasty detail that generates distrust in customers.
A traditional bar and restaurant located in the countryside of Cercedilla. - Location: Stunning: high in the mountains. - Parking difficult on weekends. - Size: Comfortable. - Cleanliness: Average. - Service: Average. - Quality: Average. - Cuisine: Traditional. - Price: Somewhat expensive. - Accessibility: Good. - Digitalization: Very limited.
After a walk...Honey awaits
The food was okay, the price was high. It’s a nice place at a good location.
Excellent service, both from the food and the waiters. The rooms were well-equipped, large, and very clean. A recommended place to spend a couple of nights and explore the beautiful area.
If you want a sandwich to replenish your energy, this is the place. The empanada is delicious, but it's a shame they don't have ice tongs for Coca-Cola.
Good place to have a drink after the route or walk through Cercedilla
The problem is that...it has Pepsi!...hahahaha
The staff and location were great, but they don't know the meaning of generosity. Four jugs of beer and four onion rings to share.
Upon arriving, I walked past the waiters, crossed the terrace to choose a table where I wouldn't be bothered by my dog. I sat down, and no waiter came over for another 15 minutes. A beer was 3 euros, a blood sausage sandwich was 6 euros, and a slice of chocolate cake was 6 euros. Prices seemed steep to me, but of course they take advantage of their unbeatable location.
A 20-euro menu that isn't worth the price (in my case, a simple salad, not a mixed one as the menu stated, and a hake, not a cod, frozen à la Romana). The worst thing is that the menu doesn't include any drinks other than wine and homemade, and in "measures," so we were charged separately for a beer and a Coca-Cola, as well as a second bottle of homemade that we ordered for three of the five diners. On the other hand, the setting was incomparable, and the waiters were very pleasant.
The waitress was very curt and unprofessional. As for the food, it left something to be desired: the tortilla was too oily and cold, and the cachopo was raw. We asked for a solution because the meat was completely raw and uncut and unchewable, and instead of bringing us another one and apologizing, they reheated it in the microwave. Honestly, we ate it out of hunger, but we didn't order more. The only good thing was the salad.
A total rip-off. The food was good and served quickly, but they charged us €28 for a combo platter with a beef steak. We asked for an explanation, and the explanation was that it was like two combo platters in one. In other words, they charged us €14 for the potatoes and eggs and another €14 for the beef steak. Disappointing!
Quarter goat (for 2 people) €60. It was delicious, but the price is beyond excessive...
The food I ordered was average, nothing special. The service in the restaurant area was terrible. You ask for a takeaway and all they do is put an aluminum container in front of you and tell you to fill it yourself—they practically said, "Fill it yourself!" Very poor service. On the other hand, I went back a week later and ordered cured beef, and it was amazing!
I've only been there once, but I won't be back. We ordered anchovies, squid, torreznos, goat cheese, cachopos, and sirloin steak. Anchovies and squid were good. The torreznos weren't actually torreznos, but sliced and fried strips of bacon. The goat cheese was good, although we missed a little more browning. The cachopos weren't too bad. And the sirloin steak, which I ordered rare, was well-cooked, although very dry. Probably because it was cooked ahead of time and kept warm. Of course, fries were served alongside everything. For dessert, the carrot cake was good. 3.50 for a slice of melon seems steep.
The place is not very recommendable, at best it's the only one there, but a sandwich is better, in the middle of the Covid era, sharing things between customers at different tables. The calamari is passable, the cachopo scares me. I hope I don't get sick tomorrow, half-cooked and with suspicious cheese. The drinks were oxidized and with dried orange slices. One of the waitresses was rude, the others were more or less friendly.
The price of food is quite high (a simple sandwich with a fairly thin steak costs around €10).
Two beers and a portion of torreznos for €17 They're not torreznos! They're super-burnt slices of bacon. A disappointment. I didn't remember it like that... It's in total decline, a shame.
I've been to this place twice recently, both times disappointing. The first time, we went for breakfast and ordered one thing, and they brought us something else. They didn't accept their mistake and didn't want to exchange it, so we said we'd leave without paying (for what we hadn't ordered and hadn't eaten), and they got quite aggressive. The second time, I went with my father after a hike. This time, they brought what we ordered, but I understand they must have brought it from the town and reheat it when they arrive. Some pork rinds tasted like burnt oil. We canceled the blood sausage because we understood it was going to be made with the same oil. We ordered something fresh, a tomato salad, as it was the most expensive tomato salad ever, €11 for going off the menu.
Today, I went to lunch with some friends, and it was a poor experience. It took a long time to give us the menu, and our drinks were served very late. We ordered torreznos (fried pork rinds), eggs with Iberian ham, and a Guadarrama ribeye steak. We were surprised to find the torreznos (fried pork rinds) were simply overcooked pieces of bacon. The ham in the eggs was nowhere near Iberian. Finally, the ribeye steak was brought to us quite late after the previous courses and was overcooked, despite having ordered it rare. Our second drinks were brought almost at the end of the meal, along with the warm beer. I think the service could be much better.
Unfortunately, my opinion is terrible, despite having gone with high expectations, but I left very disappointed. We had a table reserved days in advance for a celebration, and not only was it not ready, but we had to wait for about an hour in the sun with restless toddlers and babies in our arms. We had requested two high chairs, and in the end, we ate with the babies on our laps because they didn't have them available either. At a table of 14, we had to take turns using the only menu they gave us in order to order. The price came to €45 per person without even ordering wine, and I can't say that the quality justified it. Although the waitresses were friendly, they were overwhelmed with the number of people there. I think that at that price, they should at least treat their customers a little better if they want them to return. I don't think it's worth having so many more people than you can handle if the kitchen isn't big enough to provide the food. The dishes came out very spaced out and cold. I can't understand how the croquettes, freshly served, were cold... Some of us had already finished eating while others hadn't even received their plates. The terrace chairs were extremely uncomfortable. You could barely move between the tables, they were so close together. I'd say it's a neighborhood bar with the prices of a luxury restaurant. The whole thing seemed incredibly chaotic, and what could have been a wonderful family day was marred by the unpleasant situation we experienced. Anyway...
Terrible coffee, lousy frozen toast in a town with excellent bread, and a small bottle of water. Poor service. All for €6.
It's been a long time since I've been robbed like this: Today we decided to stop mid-morning for a beer. We were craving a simple ham and cheese sandwich, but they only had croissants. It seemed fine, although we ordered them grilled and they came out flat and cold. No problem. The shock came when we saw the bill and realized they'd overcharged us for the two croissants (10 euros for both). It was a real rip-off. Then a guy served us who tried to understand us but couldn't understand a single word of what we wanted (poor guy, he was really trying). We went to the bar with him to explain it to our friend Oreo). In short, I highly doubt we'll return, even though we've already eaten there. I completely advise against this place unless you want to leave with a sore back. It's a real shame to get hit like this.
I had a very disappointing experience at this establishment. The customer service from the Sunday waitress was poor from the start; the staff displayed an unprofessional attitude and showed no interest in customer service. Furthermore, the wait times were excessive, and the quality of service fell short of what was promised. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values friendly and efficient service. I will definitely look elsewhere in the future. I'm giving one star because I wouldn't be able to write a review. I will continue to do this with the goal of having more places with friendly people in charge of customer service.
No vayáis a Cercedilla.
LAMENTABLE. If you value your nutritional health, go for local food: A horrible calamari sandwich with half-burned bread. A tortilla sandwich with an indeterminate taste of chorizo or blood sausage. I found a hard lump that I had to spit out and leave half-eaten. A special mention goes to the 350 euro bottle of water.
A ROBBERY!! Two hot coffees for €8 after an hour's wait
I understand the higher price for the area, but 6 euros for a ham toast. The woman was super unfriendly.
It was a regrettable experience to have cold blood sausage placed in a restaurant and then reheated in the microwave, just like the chorizo. €32 was worthless, as the food came out when we got home.
Expensive for what it is. They'd even charge you for napkins.
Terrible service, after waiting a while on the terrace we had to go inside and there were waiters standing around doing nothing.
If you have money to spare, you can stop by the cafeteria and order two decaf sachets to go in a small cup without a lid for 1.80 each, and a hot chocolate with two tablespoons from the can for 2.70 per cup. I don't think you'll see me, my family, or my friends there again.
Deplorable treatment by the staff. Rude and impertinent. Not recommended.
Expensive and slow service. Since they have no competition, they don't have any problems.
POOR QUALITY AND EXPENSIVE We ordered for 2 people: - 1 grilled vegetable platter (€15), which was very limited. It was a very small amount for the price they charge. They were generous with the onions. - 2 ribeye steaks (€20 each). Cooked on the griddle, not on the grill, so the meat was overcooked (not roasted) and chewy. As soon as we sat down, they told us their specialty was meat. Side: frozen fries. - We didn't dare order dessert. - Friendly service. Final bill: €70 for 2 people, and we felt ripped off.
Poor hygiene; the salt shaker had a large, sticky substance of unknown origin! Expensive, and the waiter, who was reluctant to work, quickly gathered us up to kick us out.
Expensive beer, and if you want an appetizer, you have to ask for it, and they don't serve it nicely. The End
The treatment is quite unpleasant, it's like they don't want you to come back.
I can attest to the presence of a young, surly waiter with an earring in his ear, who, when we asked for an appetizer after receiving the order we had ordered half an hour earlier, told us no way, "it is what it is." So unpresentable 😡
Very bad service, both for me who ordered two iced coffees, and for the table next to me... I paid 8 euros for both coffees, after asking for them twice and it taking them 20 minutes to serve me... I don't recommend this expensive and arrogant place.
