The restaurant is located on the border between Italy and France. It has two beautiful, welcoming and heated rooms, each with a fireplace inside the wood-paneled interior. There's a human warmth that warms your heart. The kitchen staff is very skilled and kind in handling customer requests. The kitchen is open to the public. The dining room staff is very kind and polite. Mr. Tommaso is very helpful and attentive to customer requests. The ingredients are all excellent and of excellent quality. A special thanks to the Chef, the entire kitchen team, the dining room staff, and the owner of the restaurant.

Excellent restaurant in the center of Claviere with a short but well-curated menu. The decor beautifully combines the traditional wood, always present in the mountains, with a fairly modern design. Impeccable and competent service. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the restaurant. The only downside is the website, which doesn't do the restaurant justice at all; it might as well be closed down. Recommended.

A beautiful restaurant with wooden interiors and an outdoor terrace. Excellent dining experience, dishes with well-balanced and fresh flavors. A good wine list and craft beers. Whiskeys, grappas, bitters, etc. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent and plentiful cuisine, exceptional raw ingredients, and a unique open kitchen, a real treat. We dined during our week-long stay with half-board, and then also dined as outsiders. We didn't notice any difference in treatment, as sometimes happens. The staff and owners were always professional, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable in explaining the dishes, despite having to work in masks. We had a wonderful time and appreciated the attention to sanitization between guests. Thank you for your warm welcome.

Excellent food, very good prices, service by the hostess was great-chatty and playful. We had pizzas, carbonara and ravioli and then tasty puddings after. Our group of 7 had been snowboarding from Montgenevre. Very tired and wet through. They took our belongings to dry out by their huge fireplace. Very thoughtful :)

Buona cucina piatti non sempre ben bilanciati tra i vari ingredienti fanno sentire a volte la mancanza di più sapore. Peccato i tempi lunghissimi di attesa tra una portata e l'altra.

ottima esperienza, buona qualità- prezzo. Piatti ottimi. Ma segnalo alcune note: 1. locale abbastanza freddo, a inizio serata hanno tenuto il vetro del camino aperto e la sala era piena di fumo, poi è stato chiuso... ma ormai i vestiti erano impregnati... 2. alcuni tavoli erano forniti di tovaglia, altri con tovagliette all'americana.... non ho capito il motivo, dato che il coperto lo pagano tutti... 3. locale molto bello e sembra rinnovato recentemente, ma i bagni ti fanno fare un viaggio indietro nel tempo... e al freddo... per il mangiare ci tornerei, per il locale meno...

we found this restaurant right after skiing and we were tired and cold, and they welcomed us even if they were about to close. the food was really good, they brought us bread and their own homemade butter and it was really tasty! we had the tagliatelle with ragù and although they weren’t my favourite, the flavour was really interesting. I highly recommend this place because the owners speak italian and french really well :)

Excellent experience to repeat. Very interesting menu with alternative proposals to the usual ones in the valley. Excellent service with presentation of the dishes and a refined environment. A decent cellar with an excellent Pinot Noir by the glass. Average price.

This 70-year-old, "retro"-style restaurant is very, very pleasant. The service is very attentive, and the dishes are beautifully presented. They're very good, which adds to their appeal. The price is fair, and you absolutely must try them. And last but not least... the dessert is sublime. For those of you who are in the area, it's definitely worth a try. You'll be thrilled.

Has been a firm favourite for many years however feels as if its lost a certain something in its personality the last few.

Siamo andati in 8 per una cena tra amici. Il cameriere che ci ha accolto è stato molto gentile e professionale ma per certi versi un po’ furbetto. Ci ha proposto un vino senza farci consultare la carta dei vini. Quando abbiamo chiesto la carta per verificarne i prezzi voleva comunque farci scegliere i vini più costosi. Dopo varie insistenze ha capito che non era aria e abbiamo potuto scegliere un buon vino rosso da 18 euro. Ordiniamo gli antipasti: chiedo un tagliere di formaggi per una persona da dividere in due e mi viene detto che il piatto per due non basta. Rimango ferma sulla mia posizione anche perché un piatto di formaggi 18 euro!! Per fortuna perché comunque era abbondante e sufficiente per due! Procediamo con i primi piatti, tagliata e stinco per i miei amici, tutto buono poi arriva il momento del dolce. Senza portarci il menù ci vengono proposti a voce tre dolci di cui non specifica i prezzi. Al momento di pagare sorpresona!! Un tiramisù normalissimo ben 10 euro e una fetta di crostata 9 euro!! Direi che sarebbe stato opportuno informare del prezzo dei dolci o portarci il menù per darci la possibilità di vedere che il prezzo dei dolci è assolutamente spropositato rispetto alla media dei prezzi dei dolci sul territorio. Peccato perché il cibo è buono ma l’atteggiamento di chi ci ha servito sembrava quello di chi vuole fregare il turista e lo vede come una persona da spennare il più possibile. Io e mio marito in due per un antipasto, due primi piatti, due dolci ,una Coca Cola e un bicchiere di vino abbiamo speso 88 euro. Mi pare davvero eccessivo!! Sicuramente non torno. E non lo consiglio agli amici.

Durante un soggiorno a Claviere mi imbatto verso le 15 del pomeriggio nella vetrina del locale e attraverso il vetro vedo un bell’ambiente e i tavoli apparecchiati. Trovo i prezzi esposti un poco cari, ma immagino che ne possa valere la pena. Quindi visito il sito del locale, dove in modo insistito mi si propone di prenotare online. Mi convinco, compilo e invio correttamente la richiesta. Mi arriva via mail la conferma della prenotazione. Mi presento all’ora concordata e lo trovo chiuso. Posso solo aggiungere: anche tralasciando la pigrizia e la mancanza di professionalità, per quale diavolo di motivo hanno lasciato i tavoli apparecchiati?

Ricordo con piacere la vecchia gestione, magari un po' demodé, molto buona ed abbondante. Purtroppo ad oggi non trovo niente di ciò. Prezzi eccessivi per la qualità e quantità dei piatti serviti. Ma è il servizio il punto più basso. Cameriere che ha fatto cadere più volte parte delle pietanze dal piatto, oltre che un vassoio con diversi bicchieri a terra. Concludiamo con il conto dove ci viene inizialmente fatto pagare 64 a testa al posto di circa 50€ a testa (errore nella divisione alla romana), la signora alla cassa gestisce tutto con nonchalance quasi senza scusarsi. A questo punto chiediamo lo scontrino fiscale per poter gestire tra noi la ripartizione delle spese, ci viene risposto che il fiscale lo devono tenere loro per contabilità interna 😅. Direi di no

Food was mediocre, and pricey. Unfortunately, It was the only restaurant that was open when we visited Claviere. We are two adults and two kids, we order three pizzas (thinking that they were small), The waitress, who happened to be the owner, "forgot" to mention that each pizza had 5 or 6 slices...and it was too much food for us. We wished that they would have told us this. Instead, they preferred to get more money in the short term, and to -definitely- loose potential customers in the long run. We complained about not having been advise about this, but the owner said that it was on her command, so she made it VERY clear that there was NO option for us other than to keep three pizzas (in a rude way). Too bad. Not coming back ever again. If you can skip it, please do...!
