First time here and I have to say we had a delicious pizza 🍕, an excellent beer 🍺 and the dessert was also very good. Quiet and nice place. The only downside, if I may say, is the service. I noticed a bit of confusion among them, as if there was some discomfort. Anyway, I highly recommend it.

I'd better skip the pizza. The first courses, especially the gnocchi, are truly excellent. Some say they're good, others less so. The desserts are good. As a mountain village restaurant, it's more than adequate. Pontechianale is experiencing a strong growth in tourism, so I'd say it's time to improve in many respects.

Small but cute, well-heated (in winter) and welcoming. Good service, friendly and fast. Good pizza. There were three of us, and with three pizzas, three medium draft beers, a small one, and two desserts, we spent just under €60.00. Good value. Parking for both cars and motorcycles.

A charming and well-kept restaurant in the center of Pontechianale's main square. Fast service and welcoming staff. At first glance, it might seem like just a pizzeria, but they also have a variety of dishes on the menu, though unfortunately not all are available. This was my first time trying the Ravioles della Val Varaita. They were good, but I wasn't crazy about them.

The platter was good, especially the toma cheese, which I found unique and delicious. The polenta with stewed sausage also deserves a mention. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the ravioli, which were overcooked, almost inedible, and had a hint of burnt butter, but I think that's an unfortunate coincidence. Finally, a nice dessert to round out the meal. Good service, and a fair price of €15 is a comfortable meal.

Non tanto la qualità e la quantità, tutto sommato quasi accettabili, e il servizio fin troppo veloce. Talmente veloce che non hanno avuto il tempo di scaldare la polenta e lo spezzatino che erano freddi. E non hanno avuto neanche il tempo di scolare ravioli che erano praticamente in brodo. Neanche un sorriso da parte del personale, forse avevano fretta. 2€ di coperto per un foglio di carta come tovaglia. Prezzo eccessivo alla fine tutto considerato. Non credo ci torneremo più.

Today, August 15, 2025. Express service. They brought the first course 2 minutes after the appetizer, which I ate as if it were a second course. Speaking of appetizers: 6 slices of wafer-style cheese, not the Lazio city cheese, 4 transparent slices of salami, 4 slices of capocollo, and 1 (one) slice of mortadella. €12 seems like a steal to me. For two, that's the equivalent of 3 slices of bread. Move on.

Tables outside the bar with placemats. Not many people, but a wait to order. The waiters seemed friendly, but the food was subpar. The dessert was bunet, but it was pudding. Unfortunately, and strangely, I felt ill. Unbranded draft beer.

I asked for a bottle of water, which they fetched. Meanwhile, I asked to use the restroom and was told that I couldn't use the restroom just for the bottle of water because it's for customers only. I'm wondering, but isn't the person who buys a bottle a customer? I simply left her the water. I think this is rude and in bad taste, both for myself and the customers. Businesses should allow access to services, and if necessary, for a fee.

We politely asked for a review of the bill because it didn't seem fair, and the result was that the hostess added another €4 on a plate of cooked ham, pleased to have fooled us. Well, then, let's be honest: Don't eat the cooked ham. €8 for a small plate with two slices. Small portions for the price. Tasteless polenta. Very kind waiters. Not the hostess.
