Absolutely amazing! The food here is so delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable. Much appreciated to Toby! He made us feel like family. We came in late, and he treated us like we had all night. The house manager Melinda is the best. We were blessed to meet her. She is the mother of the front house and we was family. They made our small birthday celebration special! We will definitely return.
Excellent ambiance for a romantic dinner. Our waiter was new, but very well informed about the food, service was top notch! We made early reservations for dinner (4:45) and got an excellent table. Food was perfectly prepared. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the Brussels were tender, crisp, flavorful and not too greasy or heavy. The dessert was decadent however there was a large chunk of amazing chocolate that we could eat and have to sadly leave behind. Raw oysters were fresh and flavorful. We tried all three flavors available. We will definitely visit this restaurant again when in Rosemont.
came into town for supernatural convention, and wanted something local and delicious. The restaurant is very nice on the inside, clean and suitable for dates or meetings. I had the Wagyu carpaccio, oysters, the lobster tail, And the white chocolate truffle cake. Everything was amazing. The carpaccio was some of the best that I’ve ever had. I devoured everything and was happy with all. One thing of note is when I went to book a reservation, the options were limited, especially when I selected for one person. But when I went to the restaurant, there was tons of room and I was sat immediately. It may just be a trouble with their app, but I had the place to myself, although the reservations did not reflect that. they also offer valet.
We went here for Christmas dinner and had a fabulous meal. Our server was great. Our food was excellent. Only issue was we had a reservation and they were a bit backed up but it was the holidays so we just had a drink at the bar. They do valet and validate parking. The deck is quite expensive so make sure to take your ticket. We had the calamari two ways to share with the table. Both were great but I really enjoyed the Asian flavor. I also had the white fish. It was great! It came with a risotto and it was creamy and rich which balanced the light fish. Really nice.
Absolutely *INCREDIBLE*!!! Deano the best!! I ❤️ the curvature of this space overlooking the street & and the ambience of class & exquisite design! We tried the Chilean Sea Bass + Crab 🦀 & Shrimp 🍤 stuffed salmon dish (mashed potatoes & broccoli) 🥦 AND it was ungodly!! The bar area is also gorgeous and on a curve. There are multiple seating areas: a section for elevated seating, private booths, and seats along the cover chair facing the street.. all which I thought were extremely charming. Can’t say enough great things about this space, place & service.
If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience with great food, attentive servers, and an excellent atmosphere, McCormick & Schmick's is the place to be! We had blue point oysters for an appetizer, ribeye streaks for dinner, and the most amazing apple pie for dessert. Highly recommend!!! The food was top-notch, Chef Anthony Rubino. We've had Florentine steak in Florence, Italy, and your steak is just as delicious! Sandra, our server was attentive to our every need, and we loved meeting Liza. We will be bringing the whole family to enjoy this lovely place over the holidays! Thank you for making our night special.
Ohh, we loved so many things about this restaurant. It's beautiful. Our meal was amazing and oh my gosh, if you get the chance to get the chocolate in a bag, you will absolutely love it.But I will warn you, the bottom of the bag is super super super thick and very hard. You'll have to pick it up and eat it.But we loved loved our entire meal.I would go back there every week if I could
I visit this place during the Chicago restaurant week 2025. It more than made my expectations. The food were excellent from service in a great atmosphere. I tried iceberg salad bowl. I had the waygu meat with truffle fries and truffle chocolate cake for dessert. No alcoholic berry infused drink all exquisite. Highly recommend this place. Price is on the high side but this is expected on a restaurant of this level. Thank you McCormick and Schmitt
The food was amazing and our waiter Henry was spectacular!! Will come back again
If you are in the Rosemont IL area, stop by and check this out 😋 we did and loved it. Started with Fried Calamari and then a Sea Bass, New York Steak and Bone In Black Angus Rib Eye Steak and finished with Chocolate Truffle Cake... Amazing and worth coming for it
We had dinner at this premium restaurant and it exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed all of the food and drinks we ordered. To start, we had the beet and burrata salad and a cup of blue crab chowder, both of which were delicious with exceptional flavor profiles. For the main course, we ordered a 14 oz NY strip with veggies and pesto gnocchi, both packed with robust flavor. We also had the truffle Mac and cheese on the side, which I highly recommend. Finally, we ended our meal with the upside down apple walnut pie, which was absolutely delicious.
We can't say enough good things about this place! We ordered the calamari, wedge salads, Irish whiskey salmon, and lobster tails 😋 it was all delicious and perfectly plated. The atmosphere is nice & the staff is informative, professional, and friendly! Joe was our server and he was wonderful. Definitely coming back soon!
Celebrated an Anniversary and we were treated like VIP’s. Our server was Melinda and she did everything she could to make our experience pleasurable. She made great recommendations and her customer service was top notch that we asked for the manager to be called over. Amanda came over & was delighted to hear positive feedback when most only want to talk to a manager to complain. It was on New Tears eve when the place was bustling. The food was delicious. Pictures don’t do it any justice.
What an INCREDIBLE dining experience! My wife and I celebrated our 21 wedding anniversary at McCormick & Schmick’s. It has to be one of the Best places we have celebrated over the years! The food was FANTASTIC! We had reservations and walked in to have our seats ready. Our Waiter was Great! The food selections we Amazing! We will for sure return again! If it were closer we would surely visit more often, it is worth the four hour drive for us! See ya soon!
5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD…HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I came here with a co-worker while we were traveling on business on a whim, and it was the best decision we could have made. The service was outstanding, the wine was excellent, and the food was soooo delicious. We tried a bottle of the The Prisoner (Red Blend) wine and we tried 4 of each different type of Oyster (12 total). For my entree, I had the Seared Tuna with Wasabi Mashed potatoes, and although I was soooo full at this point, I had to try their crème brûlée for dessert. I have never been so full, the Wine was perfect, the Oysters were all so incredibly delicious, and the wine paired well with the Seared Tuna. I winged it for the Wasabi Mashed potatoes, but with a piece of the Tuna with some of the wasabi mashed together - OMG amazingly delicious. And last but definitely not least was the Creme brûlée. Hats off to the chef for our entire meal. The staff was outstanding, friendly, charming and attentive. The wine and food was amazing, and the atmosphere was quiet, peaceful, and it seemed like we were the only ones in the restaurant. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Chicago!!!
This was our first time visiting McCormick & Schmicks in Rosemont. I can truly say it was a Wonderful Experience and a Fun Week Date Night . We attended " An evening with Agave" (they sold me at Agave!!) This event was advertised as Tequila Sips and Mexican Inspired Bites, they sure did deliver what they advertised! They offered 5 different drinks and they were nicely paired with 5 different appetizers. The decorations fit the theme so well!! Everyone was welcoming as soon as you walk in. Manager for this Special Event Ms Alejandro was very attentive and I noticed she did walk around to make sure we were all enjoying the event. The Chef , Staff clearing up tables and the Bartender that was making drinks CHEFS KISS!! The gentleman speaker for this event was very knowledgeable and informative about our drinks for the night. MY favorite was the Citrus Sunset. I hope it makes it the menu soon! We spoke with a couple attending this event that are "regulars" for Wine Evening Events", they spoke highly about them and im excited to come back and try those as well. Thank you everyone at McCormick & Schmicks for a Wonderful Evening. See you soon!!
Absolutely amazing! This classy place surpassed all expectations. Wonderful, patient service, lovely atmosphere, and last but not least- EXQUISITE FOOD!!! My loved ones celebrated my birthday here, and a friendly "Happy birthday, Alexis" message was printed on our menus! We can't wait to go back!
Had dinner last night for the restaurant week with the girls and we loved it! Everything was perfect. The ambiance, food & the service… thank you to our server Melinda she was excellent! Our experience was perfect because of her.
Let me start by saying the friendly hostess set the mood for an excellent restaurant choice!! Joe & Tricia our servers couldn't have been more friendly & informative! As 1st timers we had many questions and they never skipped a beat on details, ingredients and suggestions. We chose basically half the menu based on their great recommendations! The Berry Berry Mojito was to die for so hats off to Mixologist! The Dessert menu was off the charts! Definitely will visit again
It is very nicely decorated, loved the ceiling and the design of the bar area, loved the warn lighting throughout, it adds to the warm, cozy, romantic overall experience! The most important however is the food and I sure did enjoy the starter as well as the main entree which were presented in a timely manner at the perfect temperature! The young man who was tending to us was bilingual and his pleasant friendly helpful disposition did add to the overall experience. We were attending a concert so we skipped the dessert but we will return because they sure made our experience a memorable one, thank you all, keep wowing your clients!!!
What a fabulous place to eat!! We arrived around 8 pm to have dinner after a long day of traveling! Upon entry we were welcomed by a hostess and were immediately seated in a booth. We were seated in a booth that had curtains on both sides where if your party wanted more privacy they could just close the curtains. The inside decor was amazing, it reminded me of a bit of art deco style & along with trendy craftsman decor. The ceiling is a mixture of colored glass. Our waiter was Diego who is very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. Plus he has a delightful sense of humor that was most enjoyable 😉. My hubby had the pasta pomodore with shrimp & a marinade of deliousness! I ordered the pan seared Alaskan halibut with very tasty mashed potatoes along with grilled artichokes that were especially savory 😋. We highly recommend this restaurant for a most enjoyable meal.
Update: went for an anniversary dinner. Food and service were fantastic. Can't wait to go again. I've been to this location several times over the past 5-8 years and it has been fairly consistent. Today was the first time I've gotten takeout from M&S though. Ordering was fairly easy, and picking up there was too. It took a few minutes when we got there for them to bring the food out, but then, we had a fairly good sized order. Everyone was pleasant to talk to, and several people asked us if we'd been helped. The food itself was good. Everyone in my group that got steak said it was perfectly cooked, and that was work a 20 minute car ride. The tuna entree was good but did not stand up quite as well. I could still see how it was seared perfectly, but then the bit of time in the car, I think steamed it into more of a medium rather than rare. It still tasted delicious, but I would think again before ordering it to go. The mashed potatoes it came with, for me could have used more wasabi, but then, I'm not sure anything has too much wasabi. Boc choy got a little over steamed on the trip as well. So all in all a very good meal. The only real issues with it really were because of the 20 minute drive. I'm sure if we had eaten it there, it would have been perfect. I can't really blame them for that though, so I'll still give 5 stars, based on most of the food, and the previous times that were excellent.
Wow! We had an amazing time tonight for dinner. I had the Kobe style burger and it was done perfectly 👌 It was so juicy and the red peppers made such a good combo. Our server was very good about coming around and made sure we always had a drink and gave us some good recommendations for desserts. Will be back for sure to try the fish & chips!
This was not our first choice but it ended up being the best choice. It was my wife's birthday and our server Karen made it an amazing experience. My wife has several dietary issues and Karen took the time to pay attention to every detail so that there were no problems. I was very pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail and how special we were made to feel. Thank you
We had a lovely late lunch/early dinner, and Jon was fantastic. He was very attentive, and we never felt rushed. Everything came out perfectly timed, which for 8 people is always a feat. The food was great from the appetizers to dessert; we were very happy with our meal.
My husband amd I visited early Saturday evening and had a FLAWLESS experience. Our server Jon was attentive and personable and brought our food and drinks with impeccable timeliness. And our food, delicious. We will definitely return.
The food was phenomenal, steak was cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was romantic. Our server Parker was great! Her suggestions were spot on. I don't drink the mocktail was good! I will definitely be back soon! Also, I loved the valet parking
Perfect place to sit at the bar and amazing seafood and drinks. Jon goes out of his way to get you everything you need. That dude hustles! So impressive to watch. Great experience I highly recommend.
Best service ever and food. Liza stopped by and chatted with us. We asked if they were open for lunch, we are flying back home Friday later afternoon and will be back before we fly out. Best service ever. Thank you Dee Dee for great service.
Fantastic food and even more awesome staff! I was treated like family here, and the food is TOP notch. The general manager, Liza, is absolutely phenomenal. She was not only extremely knowledgeable of the menu, but she was also extremely personable to me right from the start, both on the phone and in person. I called in about 20 to 30 minutes before closing, and it was absolutely no problem at all for them to accommodate my order - and they did so happily! All of this made for an amazing takeout experience - yes thats right, all of this just from takeout! I’ll be going back for sure to eat there.
A special thank you to the general manager, Lisa, who is a truly wonderful person. She kindly arranged a beautiful private seating area for us, which made our evening even more special. Thank you so much! ❤️ Wonderful dining experience! The salmon was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The pork chop was equally amazing juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The crème brûlée was absolutely heavenly a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.” 😍
From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, this was a truly top-notch dining experience. General Manager Liza set the tone right away with her welcoming energy and genuine hospitality. She checked on us throughout the meal, made sure everything was to our liking, and even took the time to introduce us to the restaurant’s loyalty program — a thoughtful touch that made us feel like valued guests, not just another table. The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Our server, Edgar, was equally impressive. He was attentive, personable, and perfectly on top of everything without ever hovering. All around, this was a fantastic visit. Great food, great service, and outstanding leadership from Liza made this a place we’ll happily return to! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Visiting the area for Midwest Furfest and this restaurant was right outside the door to our hotel. Walking in the feeling of a higher scale resturant hit my small group immediately but we were treated so well by the staff. The food was amazing, and worth every penny, I had the stuffed salmon and it just melts in your mouth. The price point is also fully acceptable for the quality of the food, so good! A special shout out to our waiter, Joe, who was very attentive, and very personable! He joked around with us a bit, and gave us impeccable service during our visit. Thank you!
If you are looking for a refined dining experience near the O’Hare or Rosemont area, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks remains a benchmark for quality and consistency. From the moment you step through the doors, the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between a classic American steakhouse and a sophisticated seafood grill. The interior features rich, dark wood paneling, polished brass accents, and comfortable, private booth seating—creating an environment that feels both upscale and welcoming for a dinner for two. The service during our visit was impeccable. The staff is clearly well-trained, demonstrating a professional yet approachable demeanor that ensures you feel well-attended to without being rushed. This pace is particularly appreciated when you are looking to decompress after a long day of travel or business meetings. We began our meal with the New England Clam Chowder. This is a dish that truly tests a seafood restaurant's foundations, and McCormick & Schmick’s passes with flying colors. The chowder was remarkably creamy and rich, featuring a generous amount of tender clams and perfectly cooked potatoes. It wasn't overly thickened with starch, which allowed the natural oceanic flavor of the clams to lead the dish. It was a comforting, high-quality start to the evening. For our main course, we both decided on the Seafood Alfredo. It is an indulgent choice, but one that is executed with great technical skill. The Alfredo sauce was silky and decadent, coating the pasta evenly without being heavy or greasy. The dish was loaded with succulent shrimp and tender bay scallops that were cooked to perfection—never rubbery, always fresh. The addition of black pepper fettuccine provided a subtle, sophisticated heat that cut through the richness of the cream sauce beautifully. For two people, the portion sizes were substantial, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. While the pricing is at a premium, the quality of the ingredients and the professional ambiance justify the cost. It is a reliable, top-tier choice for anyone seeking a high-quality seafood meal in the Rosemont district.
Excellent spot for an early dinner before catching a near by show. The steaks were cooked to perfection and portions for price were a good value. The drinks ordered from the bar were spot on and also a good value for the price. We ordered appitizers, steak, and seafood with drinks and were under $125 for the the entire meal TIP INCLUDED. Our only complaint: For a high end restaurant in an area with obvious entertainment value it was very disappointing to see persons there in jeans and t-shirts with children left to run around. If we wanted that experience we'd have gone to Applebee's or TGIFriday's just up the road. I thought "Chicago Steak Houses" had dress codes for customers (Business casual or better)?
Dinner on an early Saturday evening; the restaurant was not busy. Ordered a bottle of wine (see photo) to start along with mussels and wedge salad. Both were pretty good. Dinner orders were stuffed salmon and signature whitefish and both were excellent! For dessert we shared creme brulee. Service was average overall. The server never refilled our water or wine glasses from the bottle which was a little surprising. I read some reviews where people claimed the restaurant had a fruit fly problem - this is pretty accurate as I did see a couple as I was dining at my table, but it was not overwhelming. The manager came by our table. He was friendly and asked us for our feedback via a survey we should receive which was nice. I would come back again in the future.
I always love this restaurant. I tried the seafood pasta this time around. I it was good experience to try. Our server was so excellent. He did remind me of Guillermo from what we do in the shadows. Just taller. Anyway. Service was great. Food was excellent. The atmosphere alone was worth it.
This was our lunch choice after our nieces graduation from high school. The atmosphere and ambience was very nice on the inside as well as the outside. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The lunch specials were absolutely amazing. The pesto gnocchi was so tasty. My niece loved the oysters and my hamburger was cooked to perfection. The food is very tasty and everything was cooked correctly, served nice and hot and our water was always filled at the table. Excellent place to come for lunch or dinner.
I never heard of this place before. A friend of mine had his bachelor party here last Saturday. It was a bit of a walk from the blue line but I got there. It's like about maybe a 15 minute walk south from the blue line if you're going that way which I did. It's inside of a Lowe's hotel or it's next to a Lowe's hotel. You know it's decent food it's pretty good food. I was in there for maybe not quite an hour but it was good. I thought the people were friendly. And you know I'd go back there probably again it was quick and fast and it wasn't overly lit in there.
I wanted to take my wife to a good place where she could enjoy seafood and I could get a steak. Very nice restaurant with cherrful valet parking and an attentive hostess. Service went downhill from there and was much less that I would expect at a place like this. Our waitress never introduced herself and didn't seem happy to see us. Since we don't drink alcohol our drinks ran dry while we were eating and never refilled. I assume if we were buying cocktails and wine we would have seen her more often. The seafood platter was 5 star, my wife was happy. My medium well steak was more medium rare but I don't like to send food back so I ate it anyway. Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes were top notch. I think my biggest disappointment was that I get better table service at a Dennys. Unfortunately there are many other places I can get seafood and a steak so I most likely won't return.
This might be a classic case of maybe it's me and not the restaurant. The food was quite bland for my taste buds. I correlate flavor and food cost together, in that way this food was a let down for me. The place and service was amazing. But the flavors are a big let down for me.
The jumbo shrimp was good. The asparagus was good on the smoky side but it didn’t have enough seasoning. The steak was good but I ordered medium rare and what was served felt more like medium, the mashed potato was just meh, it was cold when it was served and it was tasteless. The desserts were good. What I didn’t like was we had to wait 10-15 minutes at the bar for our table to be ready while we already had reservations from before.
I seldom post a critical note, but a recent evening reflects what I would describe as deep management issues. At the host stand, two young men seemed to think we were walk-ins, despite the reservation on our phones. It seemed like management had pulled in car valets to cover the entrance . After about five minutes while they conversed, we were seated. Why that mattered is unclear as it was far from full. The hostess directed the four of us to what had to be the least desirable table, sitting at a high traffic point, and set for three. On request, she let us use the nearby booth. Their somewhat insulated booths are very good if you prefer the ability to carry on a conversation. Then we waited an inordinate amount of time to get a drink, with the server coming back to say the bar was backed up, i.e., not enough bar tenders. After fending off attempts, admittedly polite, to get us to order immediately, I ordered off what appeared to be a well-used menu, including a crab cake appetizer. It appeared quickly, but was lukewarm and sort of gluey. But that did not really matter as our meal came very shortly after that, and the crab cake disappeared, as did my wife’s bread plate with the bread she intended to eat. The server apologized for bringing the food so quickly, saying the kitchen had gotten the timing wrong. We all agreed the food was good. And the staff were nice. Everything else requires a managerial overhaul and training.
Beautiful space the bartender was so nice drinks were good. Oysters were so good. But our entrées were mid at best, especially for the cost. I bet they use Cysco food delivery. Probably won't be back for the price
Came here for my birthday celebration (3/7) with a reservation at 9:15 PM, but didn’t even get served WATER until ~35 mins after sitting down (it was ~9:40 I think). It wasn’t even our server that gave us water, it was someone ELSE who came by, gave us our water, and then said enjoy and left. My girlfriend and I were so confused because we thought he would also be taking our order, but then I saw that he had a scarf on and was ready to go (because we were near the door and I saw him about to head out). It wasn’t until I also noticed workers walking around with vacuums to which I then decided to ask someone walking by if they could get our server. Then they asked what our server’s name was, and we said no one has even come to our table to take our order. They said they would find out. It looks like there was some sort of miscommunication, but even once they did find a server, the actual server didn’t get to actually take our order until about 10 minutes later from that. Instead, they said they would open someone’s bottle of wine and then come over to us, but that also took so long. They opened the other table’s wine (which was a few tables down from us so my girlfriend could see him doing it), but then he kind of disappeared after that. Didn’t even get bread in a timely manner for while we waited until a bit later. I get it, they were now nearing closing time and we were in a different section and the server was very apologetic, but cmon… it felt like I was in a scene from kitchen nightmares where the customers are left wondering why they are waiting for so long to get their order taken. The food, however, when it FINALLY arrived, was pretty good! I knew their food was good because I’ve ordered takeout before, so that was the only plus side. Got oysters, truffle mac & cheese, chef’s special of salmon w/stuffed crab & other things, a cocktail and my girlfriend got the rainbow fish and some wine (all which I recommend, especially the truffle mac & cheese! Very creamy and not too truffley, just enough! However at the time of making this reciew, Not too sure with the oysters anymo , because my girlfriend currently has an upset stomach & threw up, and we are worried it may be due to the oysters. The last time we had food poisoning, we also had food poisoning from oysters at a chinese buffet, and this seems to be showing the same symptoms). However, I’d also give a knock down to atmosphere because people were vacuuming while we ate. But I get it because it was near closing. HOWEVER, when it came to dessert, the server assumed we didn’t want to order dessert because we asked for boxes, but then he still wanted to ask and confirm with us, to which I said can we see a dessert menu just in case? Then he said, “Let me double check if the kitchen is still there because they stop serving at 10 PM and it’s 10:04.” And what do you know… no one is in the kitchen. That’s fine because I get it, it’s after 10PM, but we didn’t even get told of a LAST CALL or what time the kitchen closed. So many other places that I’ve eaten at have at least told us when the kitchen is doing last call. So in that case, this meant no birthday dessert for me :((( The server did try to compensate by giving us some wine glasses to take home & packing up our food in our to-go boxes, to which it made me feel bad if I didn’t tip, and I always try to tip when I can, so I still did 21%. Overall, not a good experience. The server was apologetic and seemed to be flustered with the situation (which I get), however NOT EVEN A DISCOUNT WAS OFFERED FOR OUR DISTRESS! Parking wasn’t even fully comped. We were just given the normal voucher that makes you pay $5 at the gate (as stated on the sign when you enter the parking garage). I would love to come back here, but not sure anymore with the kind of service I received for MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. Maybe it’s best to just stick to pick up options if you want to come here…
First time dining here and I was very disappointed. Service was very slow, waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came to take drink orders. Food came out barely warm so I can only assume it had been plated for a while before being served to us. I ordered the filet mignon and my date had the pork chop, neither of us were provided with a proper knife to cut out meat with, I have never had to cut a filet mignon with my butter knife. None of our dining experience here was what I expecting from a restaurant of this caliber.
Went last night, new years eve, so we did expect it to be busy. Went with a small group, total 5 adults. 1st round of drinks came out with normal wait. Ordered a couple apps. Shrimp cocktail and calamari. Both although had a good taste, were very small portion sizes. 2nd round of drinks took about 15-20min to recieve. Ordered entrees, soups were good, lettuce wedge bacon was cremated and not crumbled, thought it was kinda odd, when broken up was more of bacon dust and not a crumble. Ordered a 3rd round of drinks when entrees were delivered. Stuffed salmon was room temperature, sides and mashed potatoes were filmed over, almost as if they sat under a heat lamp for longer than they should have. After we decided we were done, the 3rd round of drinks came, about a 25min wait. We all were underwhelmed with our visit. A lot we could tell wasn't fresh and pre-made or processed food. Room temperature food, our appetizer plates were never cleared and sat piled up from start to finish. Drink service was extremely slow. Possibly under staffed or over booked. There were no prime steak options, all choice or not indicated. And when the bill came it solidified the disappointment. I dont mind paying premium, but I also expect premium service and food. I wouldnt consider this fine dining, the prices are definitely high for what you recieve. The seafood i would compare to a red lobster and the steaks to a Texas roadhouse restaurant. The only thing we were satisfied with was the Valet.
We had a very disappointing experience at McCormick & Schmick’s last night. From the moment we arrived, we faced a long wait to be seated, which we expected given the busy atmosphere. However, things only worsened once we were finally seated. It took an unusually long time for our waiter to attend to us, and even longer for them to take our order. We found ourselves waiting for our food, but unfortunately, it never arrived because we decided to leave after an hour of waiting. The only thing we received was a drink from the bar, which was never refilled. We also received bread approximately 45 minutes after being seated, but there was no follow-up from our waiter regarding our drinks or food. Overall, the lack of service and attention was extremely frustrating, and we left feeling very dissatisfied. I hope this experience is not reflective of their usual standards.
The service on New Years Eve was absolutely terrible. Our table was seated at 6:20pm and we weren’t served our food until 8:20pm. We missed the reservation to our next activity. Two members of our party never received water glasses until the meal was served. One member of our party had to go to the bar to pick up our last round of drinks (it took 3 trips) and to top if off we found a blonde AND brown hair in one of the lobster bisque soups. The food itself was delicious when finally arrived, but based on the service, we will not be returning. Offering a 10% discount off of the bill along with removing the cost of the soup was not enough to secure our return.
I typically don't like to do reviews, but feel like I have to after tonight. Came here originally for my 11 year anniversary with my fiance back in November of 202 and had a great experience and decided to return tonight for Valentine's day and it was an absolute nightmare. Placed a reservation a month in advance, the restaurant seated us (and everyone else with reservations) an hour late because they kept seating walk-ins than kept saying "it's out of my control." Eventually a table opens by the bar and we manage to grab that, but after what followed I'd rather have just gone to 5 roses pub. The waitress was absent minded as all hell: brought us appetizers and no silverware until after we ate with our hands. She brought us the check for a different table and when we brought it up she dismissively states she must have brought our check to the wrong table, as if that's our fault. I'm not about to pay someone else's tab, especially when they wracked up $150 more than what we did. Eventually get the correct check, pay for it and the waitress brings my bank card back to a completely different table where the people had only just sat down and started enjoying their appetizers. Fortunately, that couple had more decency than our waitress and was quick to return my bank card to us
