Great food and service!! Tried this place for the first time and will definitely be back soon. The Szechuan style dumplings are a must, sweet and sour pork was delicious and I’m already thinking about what to order next time! The staff were very friendly and had good food recommendations, the food was ready fast. Highly recommend!
Hands down my go to place for authentic Chinese. Again this is that gold standard Chinese takeout box you're craving, its cheap $12, done in 10 minutes, stomachs happy. Worth it, good like that China buffet before covid, good like Hong Kong inn in placerville, good like that place on 47th
The service is incredible and so is the food. I highly recommend the foil chickens. They are heavenly.
We love to order take out from here. Food is always fresh and delicious! Have not been able to eat in yet but look forward to it one day! The atmosphere inside seems cozy ✨️ Rating: 25 stars 🌟
Really solid spot. The hand-shaven noodles were legit — super chewy in a good way, and the spicy sauce had a nice kick without being over the top. You can tell the noodles are fresh, and the portion was filling
Whenever we dine in or order take out, Szechuan Garden is always solid! Staff are very kind and attentive. Food is out fast and is consistently outstanding.
I've tried several Chinese restaurants in the Carmichael area, and this one is officially my favorite! I don't even want to try any others. We got pork wontons in chili oil, Chongqing braised beef, Sesame chicken, chicken fried rice, and vegetarian sizzling rice soup. All the meats were really tender, the chili oil was just the right amount of spicy, and the sesame chicken was probably the best I've ever had.
Hadn’t been in awhile, but when I did return today, everything was perfect. The meal was OUTSTANDING!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
If you were to tell me that the most relaxing moments in my life would be in a Chinese food place that's basically behind a Raley's, I wouldn't believe you. Let me tell you now though, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is incredible, there's a ton of it, it's easy on the wallet, and the atmosphere is so wonderful. I came here at lunchtime, and it was cool and comfy inside. There was soft piano in the background, and the lighting was easy on the eyes. Words alone can't do it justice.
Our family absolutely loves Szechuan Garden. We order delivery and the service is always sooner than listed. The food is wonderful, very flavorable. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is the best in the area.
My wife and I just tried this place for the first time and it was really good. The food is delicious and the service is great. The szechuan dumplings were particularly good. We will be back.
Best eggplant in town, and the salt and pepper tofu is excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly. We will come back!
I was in search of Chinese food for Christmas dinner. The food contained fresh ingredients and was ready within 15-20 minutes. It was a good Christmas.
The food was really good 👍 cashew chicken, szechaun beef was wonderful, pork fried rice was delicious 😋. Just happy we finally found a great Chinese restaurant in the area. Definitely will be back!
We always order a double portion each of Sichuan Garden Special Dumplings and the Mouthwatering Chicken Taking these yummy leftovers home gives us something to look forward to the next day. I must say, in this area, we've yet to find anything that compares to these two dishes. Addictive!
This place is excellent. I just had a wonderful moo-shi pork and wonton soup. Both were wonderful!!!
The nicest staff and great food. Always dependable, our go-to Chinese food restaurant. Highly recommend honey walnut prawns!
Excellent freshly cooked food, all your favorites. The staff is awesome and so accommodating! Wonderful dinner and they could easily double their prices! The portions are enormous, so a great value dinner too 😋
I ordered online and picked up my food at the restaurant. The people who helped me were friendly and glad to see me. The food was neatly packed and transported easily. The food was excellent, especially the orange chicken. The pot stickers were huge, filled with chicken and port and they tasted great. I loved the special fried rice. It to was perfectly cooked and filled with egg, green onions, pork chicken and shrimp. The hot and sour soup was tasty but needed more vinegar. That was easily added at home. The fortune cookies were fairly large and not uniform in shape and size. I don’t think they were machine made. Boy were they tasty. My only criticism is that we ordered several dishes mildly spicy but sadly they lack that kick. If you like your food spicy I suggest you up the level when you ordered. Will I order from here again? Absolutely. I recommend this place
Old school dining, personable, reasonable, large portions and AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS food!👍 Must have: honey walnut shrimp!!!👏🏻👏🏻
Excellent service and food is always fresh and hot when delivered. No extra delivery charge if ordering $40 or more. Everyone in the store, including the delivery people, are kind and friendly.
Our second time dining here and the food and service is as outstanding as it was the first time..Jumbo Shrimp, Potstickers and BBQ Beef for starters.. Then Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein.. So deliciously fresh.. We will be back again
This place is my absolute favorite for Chinese food. I’d say the only disappointment is knowing it’s been here so long and I’ve passed by many times and never eaten until recently. Their egg foo yung is the absolute best we have ever had!!!I couldn’t even wait to take a pic so you get to see the inside. The spring Rolls have just a hint of five spice making them stellar. The beef chow fun is melt in your mouth. Our children love their potstickers which are steamed then fried for a nice texture. We tried the hot and sour soup tonight and we devoured it. Even the fortune cookies seem to be a cut above!
First time here. Food was great. I didn’t like the fried shrimp but my friend loved it! The 2 servers were polite and pleasant to chat with.
Everything I have ordered here is delicious! I love this place!
Ma dukes and I ate a very enjoyable dinner of Teriyaki chicken, house fried rice, and a sizzling plate of beef and scallops.
This establishment is our 1st choice for staff lunches. Everything on the menu is fresh comes out fast and service is GREAT!

This is the best chinese food I have had in the past 6 months. Definitely would recommend 👌 👍 😌 👏 🙂 ☺️
We’ve been eating at Szechuan Garden for year and it’s our go-to Chinese restaurant. Their hot and sour soup and spicy dumplings are the best in the area. All their entrees are so fresh and the vegetables are always crisp. We love the chow fun, mu shu, ginger beef, and orange chicken. Best of all the service is so friendly and promptly. This is a family run restaurant that takes pride in their quality.
I rarely eat Chinese food, but this place is fantastic. The food has good flavor, they give you a lot, and they deliver typically in less than 30 minutes. I typically order for 3-7 people depending on who is home and I always have food left over. Highly recommend this restaurant.Fantastic.
Fantastic dishes! Food was fresh and had a plethora of flavors. We ordered the Moo Shu Pork & Shrimp/Chicken in Spicy Brown Sauce and both were excellent. The portions are generous and affordably priced.
This is my new favorite Chinese food restaurant! The food was amazing! All the sauces are handmade in house. So delicious! The server was very attentive. I love the atmosphere too. The great music, the smells coming from the kitchen everything was perfect!
This place has become my go to for Chinese cuisine. While all the other Chinese restaurants have shrunk portions and reduced quality, this place has remained great. I recommend the Szechuan pork and the pot stickers. The chowmein is never gummy, and always cooked great. Good job 👏🏻
The food was very flavorful. The portions are very good size for the amount of money you pay. You're definitely bring home extra for the next 2 days of dinner. The sauces are very good. Good food and delicious. Good comfort food and good service.
My favorite chicken dish is orange chicken. This place serves the best in Sacramento; nobody does it better! I have never had better. All around, next to R&G lounge in S.F., The food here is my favorite in Sac and so packed with flavor.
I adore this place. Everything I've tried has been delicious. My favorites are the ginger garlic fried rice and the vegetarian hot and sour soup, but I also love the moo shi and the black bean tofu. The wait staff is always friendly and kind. The restaurant is clean and not too loud with a very nice atmosphere. I've brought family, friends, dates, and business associates here (great for lunch!)
Since we love eating here, we decided this year (2025) to come here on Christmas Eve for dinner. We were not disappointed. It was quite busy but we didn't wait but maybe 10 minutes to be seated. The food was delicious. We had really good service. We left full and happy (and with leftovers for Christmas Day which were also delicious). This may be the start of a new tradition for the 2 of us.

Usually a really great place to get Chinese, it’s securely above the rest of the other Chinese restaurants in this area. I would just suggest not ordering food right before closing because (as it typically is at this time) the food had a slight taste of “old oil” that was hard to ignore. But besides that, the food is excellent especially earlier in the evening.
This place was very good. I had the szechuan chicken, shrimp and broccoli, and hot and sour soup. They were all great.

Sad to say, this place has really gone downhill. It was my go-to place for Chinese food. I ordered here thinking it would be good even after the last experience was only meh. But I have been coming here since I was a kid. I thought maybe they were having a bad day . I was wrong. Ordering over $50 in Chinese food, sadly, we only ate a little of it plus both of our tummies were not feeling good after or the next day, and it's the only thing we ate. We ordered moo shoo pork potstickers and wonton soup. I also ordered pork fried rice and asked them to add garlic to it. When they said to pay $2 more to add garlic, I didn't mind. However, what I did mind was when I got home, the rice looked old tasted old .The Wonton Soup ,the wontons were falling apart in the broth , which tasted watery, and the actual meat inside the wonton was quite chewy and just tasted a little different. The rice was way darker than usual & tasted burnt ,as if they had refried it instead of a cooking a fresh batch. This is just my opinion , but again I have eaten at this restaurant easily over a 60 times in my lifetime. My husband & I didn't eat any more of it & were not feeling great a little while later. I hate wasting money on food especially when it is a trusted place . But it seems as if this one has changed and sadly we won't be back.
Honestly a disappointing experience. I had such high hopes for this place judging by the reviews. The first red flag that I didn't immediately notice was a unsealable baggie that came with my meal that had 3 loose fortune cookies and a few Lee Kum Kee soy sauce packets in it. Maybe it's me, but I've never received loose fortune cookies in a baggie from a restaurant before. The food itself was quite bland. My House General Chicken was marked as a favorite on the menu, and had the option for a spiciness level. Even though I chose the hottest level, there was not even a kick to the dish. The chicken was also a bit spongy. The barbecue fried rice also seemed to lack much flavor. This was also disappointing because it has the potential for a nice blend of sweet and rich meaty flavor. On top of it, the rice gave off a smelly feet odor. If this had been at least been like typical american-chinese food, I would've been happier. What an unfortunate comparison I had to make.

Immediately as we entered the business, we were greeted terribly. It was our first time being there. No help with food choice questions, just being very and rude. Food was tough.
Weirdest egg foo young you’ll ever have. Got the shrimp and chicken egg foo young and it was the worst I’ve ever had. Barely any meat or eggs in them. Tastes very potatoey. Very weird it doesnt have bean sprouts in them. It has peas and carrots in them. Wouldn’t have got them if I knew. Just a very strange way to make them. Not what I’m used to at all.

I have only written a handful of food reviews in my lifetime, and this is easily the worst experience I have had. I have worked in hospitality for over 20 years and I always give a business the opportunity to make things right before posting publicly. I called the owner the next morning, spoke with him directly, and he told me he would call me back. He never did. We spent over $150 on this order and tipped $25 on top of that because we were told it had been slow and we wanted to support the business. That should have been my first red flag. The portion sizes were unacceptable for the price. The Shrimp Egg Fu Yung was bland and disappointing. The Orange Chicken had a strong burnt oil flavor. The Chinese Chicken Salad had decent dressing, but the portion was extremely small with barely any chicken and almost no toppings. The Mongolian Beef tasted nothing like it traditionally should. The fried prawns were honestly shocking. The shrimp were tiny and buried in thick, dry batter that made them nearly inedible. The Wonton Soup lacked flavor and the dumplings were not good. The only items that were halfway decent were the chow mein, shrimp fried rice, and sweet and sour pork. For $150+, this was unacceptable. What is even more disappointing than the food was the lack of follow through after I tried to resolve this privately.
We’ve ordered takeout here twice and both times we have been very disappointed. We ordered spring rolls and the sweet and sour dipping sauce was congealed. We were not given any cutlery or napkins. We had to stop at the grocery store to buy forks. We were the only customers in the restaurant and we paid close to $50. Save your money and go to Panda
