Beautiful restaurant with an variety of dishes from different regions of Mexico. The atmosphere, service, and food, were excellent and elevated. We made reservations so we had no problems, the restaurant did fill pretty quickly after we arrived. We split a salad and the main course and each got a dessert.

Very Nice restaurant with great options for elevated regional Mexican food. Everything we had was incredible! We found this restaurant looking for some mole for dinner. We got 2 different mole. Both were exquisite! We don't normally order dessert either, but decided to go all out as it was our last night in mexico. The corn geletan dessert had a different texture ad the black sauce over it was very tasty. It wasn't too sweet so we really liked it! If you are looking for an elevated mexican experience, this is a great place to go!

The food was delicious, the service was great, and the restaurant is beautiful. There is a wait time so I suggest going earlier than being hungry. Our baby was a little impatient but the lady making the tortillas from scratch gave her one and helped calmed her down. Those gestures mean the world because it’s not easy eating out with a baby. I love the food will come back. I tried any eggs which were actually delicious, the chocolate and spices chicken, the soup, shrimp tacos, and guacamole.

Reasonably pricey but worth it. The Chile en nogada was fantastic, I liked the savory one much better than the sweet which was overpowered with the mind almost like a liqueur. Other reviews called it bland but I call it not oversalted since I thought it was very flavorsome. Also had the manchamancheles mole with chicken and fruit which was delicious albeit small portion. Great service and ceremonial presentation of food and lovely decor with a whole plant wall and a lady making tortillas in front of us.

This was our fifth visit, and while still enjoyable, it didn’t quite match the consistency we’ve come to expect. We started with sparkling water and lemon, followed by a complimentary corn tart with spicy tomato sauce—flimsy in texture but flavorful with a nice kick. The guacamole was silky-smooth, paired with perfectly crunchy chips—though the portion was surprisingly small; our follow-up order came with only four chips. We then had tacos de cochinita pibil, filled with beans and egg and topped with pickled onions. They were flavorful but lukewarm, greasier than usual, and not as fresh-tasting as on past visits. Later, the tacos de lechón arrived—rich and satisfying, but oddly, not wrapped in a leaf as they’ve consistently been in the past. For dessert, we had vanilla and chocolate ice cream—well presented but visibly melted, likely from sitting too long. Tasty, but not memorable. The accompanying sauces were bold but leaned very spicy, with no mild alternatives. Service felt rushed, with silverware changed mid-bite and a push to move things along. Very nice and upper-scale dinner experience. Overall a bit pricey but enjoyable. We were guided upstairs although downstairs seemed more lively and warmer. All patio upstairs were fully open on the chilly night we went there. We asked that they close the windows but still had to wear our jackets throughout the whole dinner. I noticed everyone sitting upstairs were doing the same… Service was good. Food-wise, I had the Enchiladas de Mole Negro Oaxaqueño. They were good but not the best I had. My friend had the Empipianadas rellenas de minilla de camarón. As per her, they were just ok but quite tasteless. But, the dessert was worth the whole dinner. We shared the Pay de Naranja Agria and it was seriously to die for, delicate orange taste, crunchy delicious almond crust. It was a delight.

Azul Condesa is a beautiful and very pleasant restaurant. The patio is filled with greenery and plants, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to sit and enjoy your meal. The space is full of charming details candles, religious art, and thoughtful decor. At the entrance, there’s a woman making tortillas by hand, which adds a very special and authentic touch. If you’re visiting Mexico, a restaurant like this is definitely worth experiencing. The atmosphere alone makes it memorable. As for the food, we started with panuchos, which were spectacular. I truly recommend them. We also ordered the traditional tortilla soup, which is served in a Catrina and presented beautifully. They even share a short story about the soup, which makes the experience fun and unique. However, while the presentation was lovely, the flavor didn’t quite win me over. I’ve had much better tortilla soups elsewhere, and personally, I wouldn’t order it again. I then had the black mole enchiladas. They were good, not outstanding, but enjoyable. The service was excellent, as always, and the restaurant itself is stunning. While the food didn’t completely wow me this time, the overall experience was still very nice. I would recommend visiting Azul Condesa, especially if you’re in Mexico. If possible, I suggest visiting Azul Centro, which I find even more beautiful but this location is still lovely. Yes, I would recommend it and would return.

Beautiful restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes from across Mexico. We were underwhelmed with the food. The guacamole was lacking in salt and limón. They only gave us 5 small shrimp for $25 (usd) also lacking in flavor and the smallest side of rice possible. The mole was fine, a bit too much chocolate. This was one of our most expensive dining experiences and the least worth it. Cannot say I recommend unfortunately.

We visited this restaurant for lunch today. The food was nice. However, our server, who could speak a little English (not much), was not friendly. Instead of explaining the food, he kept pressuring us to order drinks and desserts. When it was time to pay, he asked us, “15%?” Honestly, no. That level of service did not deserve it. Habíamos ido en otras ocasiones, todo muy bien. Pero un domingo fuimos a las 12:30 y nos ve un mesero en la puerta, nos comenta que la comida es hasta la 1 y ya no tendría desayunos que si esperamos. Es primo de Azulísimo, que fue el primero que visité y recomiendo ampliamente, ya que dejó los estándares muy alto y este no los cumplió, les falta mucho en cuento a servicio y la variedad de lo que manejan, de lo que pedíamos mucho no lo tenían, tardan bastante en atender, el lugar es chiquito y amontonan mucho a la gente, hace muchísimo calor, al lugar le falta ventilación y sobre todo en esta época calurosa. La siguiente, la comida es rica, eso no falla, pero las bebidas de los Agaves no tenían dos o tres que queríamos tomar. El servicio de verdad, no da soluciones u opciones y tampoco te hablan de su catálogo o te ofrecen nada, si no era porque estábamos familiarizados, terrible, verdaderamente.

Para ser un restaurante con público principal extranjero, nadie del personal habla inglés ni revisan alergias ni ingredientes, mucho menos piensan que los ingredientes sean demasiado pesados, picantes o lleno de mariscos para extranjeros. Platillos monótonos, repetitivos. Lamentable porque antes era un restaurante clave, ahora parece que le quieren ver la cara a los extranjeros. no me veo llevando grupos al menos no hasta que presenten un refresh importante.

A friend recommended this place, so I arrived with high expectations, but it turned out to be one of those times when having no expectations would have been better. Unfortunately, this was the most expensive dinner I had during my 10‑day trip to Mexico, and also the most forgettable. I accidentally ordered sparkling water instead of still, and when I asked if it could be changed, the waiter refused, saying that was what I had ordered. Fine. Later, I ordered wine directly from the menu, but when the food arrived and I asked for it, the waiter insisted I hadn’t ordered any. Confusing and frustrating. As for the food itself, completely unremarkable. Honestly, I’ve had far better meals at simple taco stands on the street. Nothing here left an impression, except the disappointment.
