Made reservation and was met with a great and warm welcoming at the front desk . Went here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday with her family and the staff , music, food and ambiance didn’t disappoint at all . The servers were very attentive and made a lot of great recommendations. The overall presentation for each of the three course meal was stylish and met with bold flavors . The best , arugula , blue cheese and candied walnuts was a nice palette starter for an appetizer . We got the queso Birria tacos , ribeye and picana steak and it was salted perfectly just wish the potatoes 🥔 were seasoned or buttered a little more . The final course was the desserts and they really do have something for everyone . My favorite had to be the crème brûlée and the caramel dulce leche cake 🎂. They had a unique celebration panned for my girlfriend to wish her a happy birthday and overall would recommend if you are in the Roma Norte / Polanco area of Mexico City .
They were so nice Alejandro y Farid they were so on point and very good service
We LOVE Cantina 20!! In Miami and here in Mexico. Capitan Ociel and Esteban have been excellent!! So attentive and polite, and the food, well… it will keep us coming back.
Fernando & Gabriel at the bar had great service. Accommodation was magnificent! Helped me select a Mezcal. Food was amazing, Chapulines, Rib Eye stilo Mexicano, pure de paps y uno Margarita de Jamaica frozen! #Banda 🌟 🤩
This is by far...my Favorite place to eat at in Mexico City!!!!! Everything I ate was excellent and very tasty. All I said was.. Surprise Me! And I had all of the yummy dishes in my pictures. Phenomenal Food Impeccable Service Decor and Ambiance that made you feel like a King yet also an Authentic Home cooked Gourmet Meal that was one of a kind unique experience
Excellent service, ask for Fernando at the bar! Cocktails are great, but the tuetano sopes are a boom! Definitely I’ll come back on my next visit to Mexico City!
Great spot. Excellent food! Not a lot of vegetarian options. Circulating minstrels. Big TV's. Lovely service. Crickets in the guac was a surprise - smokey flavor!
I loved this place!! Great service and good drinks. I really like the atmosphere and life music
I had a lunch with friends in this restaurant. Very elegant place and with a high-level service. Very present and professional staff. I ate of the great typical dishes. Guests are always cheered by a group that sounds Mexican melodies with Mexican instruments. Really recommended
DELICIOUS, come to the restaurant and get the ribeye chicharron, the bone marrow, the queso fundido, and the mashed potatoes. Baruch is an amazing waiter!
The food is very tasty, service is good and the ambience is nice. The prices are a bit above average.
Super fun spot with a lively atmosphere, unique drink presentations and delicious plates. Ribeye Aguachiles - 10/10 NY Strip - 9/10 (wish it came with more sides) Ribeye Tacos - 10/10 (came with bone marrow!)
At first I thought it was gonna be a tourist trap, but to my surprise, the portions were quite big and the "timbal de mariscos" was delicious, we were two and couldn't even eat it all. We had a couple of mezcal cocktails which were big enough for the meal. The tortilla soup was pretty tasty, and the 6-sauce selection for the tostadas was the cherry on top. Pretty balanced for the price. I'd gladly go again. 😌👌🏼
Loved this spot.... food eas excellent my tequila cocktail delicious!! (Had 2).... lively, great music Mexicana & wonderful vibe!!
Great food great service! Alexander and Barush were amazing! Than you.
Thank you Francisco for making our trip so special. Best service best environment
Very good place I came couple years back and they still with great service and even better food
The service was amazing, alex and Emanuel were great to assist our group. Would recommend this place to anyone coming to Mexico City!
Good food! Excellent service from Victor
Exceptional service Antonio Trejo and Farit were amazing! Excellent customer service. Very attentive and the food was so delicious we needed a bigger stomach to eat all the exquisite dishes! Our party of 15…. We plan to come back!
Leo and Ramses were very attentive and the music is really good . You will for sure have a good time here .
The food was amazing. Leo was a great server
Antonio was super attentive and the customer service was excellent! Definitely I’m coming back
Food was excellent and our server Giovanni was fantastic. Definitely make the stop!
Came here on a Friday night at around 10pm and the place was not busy. The host was super energetic and helpful! Jair was our server. He was super helpful by trying his best to explain the dishes to us. The drinks are super cute here but on a weaker side. Food was great. I got the octopus plate, it was a bit underwhelming, it had just the octopus, some grilled potatoes, and a piece of lemon. The octopus tasted good! We also had a tortilla soup, which was awesome! The Cesar salad was great! They made in at our table just like in Tijuana. We also got a side of elotes, came with two grilled corns and side of cheese, spread, and tajin. It was hard to do all the spreading and sprinkling myself, wish they just do it in the kitchen. Overall it was a good experience. Definitely will come back.
Appetizers are a good size, and a little pricey for cdmx but nothing crazy. It's all open air so guests are allowed to smoke. They were kind to let us move twice, but we couldn't get away from the smoke from other guests. Got bit by a few mosquitoes.
Service unlike any other. Truly an amazing experience. Would recommend to anyone. Check it out!
Fun atmosphere. Good food. Awesome service! Willie was great!
Excellent customer service, the food was delicious and fast delivery from the kitchen to our table. Genaro was our waitress, he was prompt and attentive to make of this visit an unforgettable one for us. Thanks Pat Santin for assisting and giving us the options to choose from the menu, excellent recommendations!
Fun ambiance and great food. Our servers, Emmanuel and Esteban, were patient and explained the dishes well, answering all our questions. The lengua dish was delicious!!
Definitely a vibe! Great service and festive!
The ambiance was amazing. Came around 4 and It was amazing vibes. My waiter , Willy, was very attentive and had amazing energy. I had the NY Steak tacos and they were amazing. Also the appetizer was a delicious chciharron de ribeye. Also the best. Definitely coming here again
Very special place !! The food is pretty amazing!
Loved it! Willy and Antonio were the best! Muy Bien!
Everything was amazing and Antonio our server was just as special! You will receive excellent customer service and love entertainment which was a bonus and unexpected! Do yourself a a favor and swing by for their duck enchiladas and mole
Emmanuel great service and good atmosphere
This place hits the spot every time I visit! I bring my customers here and they love the ambience! The food is good. The service is amazing! Shout out to Antonio! Thanks for the amazing service! You went above and beyond! I had the Birria tacos and the ribeye tacos and they hit the spot. Also, the Fideo seco is like the noodles and flavor without the broth. It’s really good. A little cream on top made it really good with the avocado. A wide selection of drinks. We also had the layered cake for dessert and it was perfecto! I’m coming back! Thanks again!
Awesome service. We were there to celebrate our aniversario. Esteban was our server. Su servicio al 100%. Muchas gracias!! Ambience recommendation: the TVs should have more “cultural representation” background playing - maybe mariachis playing or Vicente Farnandez (or the same music already playing) for a better mood setting.
Great customer service! I don’t speak Spanish, and the waiters were so kind and translated everything for me to inglés
Excellent service and food, super attentive and fast, delicious food, Esteban is a sweetheart and the other colleagues are super nice too! Efficient. Highly recommended.
Antonio and Farid were excellent. They gave us such a great service, that I’m looking forward to come back again! The food was delicious and the drinks fire!!!
Good service, but not really about the food Nice atmosphere, although a bit showy. The menu is quite limited. The octopus was tasty, but the potatoes had no flavor at all. Service was attentive, but it’s clear the main goal here is to sell drinks rather than focus on the dining experience.
The food excellent! Good service quth the exception that when i asked for water they tried to push the sell of a bottle. Clients are entitled to courtesy water always!
Apart from a detail or two, everything was awesome. Jair and Willy were great servers who were very attentive, without hovering. Love this spot!
Food was mediocre at best. Drinks were great. Smoking is allowed inside and there was tons of it. Live music was a treat! Would come again during less busy time.
Its a bit over rated. Salad came out of a tin. Service was good but if you put down a glass it's gone, even if still not finnished. We asked for a 3/4 stake and it was raw. And at the end was expensive. So a general nice vibe but overrated and better places in the area. Go once, that's about it.
Food was good, but not amazing. Cocktails are fantastic. Service was polite and responsive. Although they waited 15 minutes after I ordered a dessert to tell me that they were out of it. Also beware the water costs $60 for a tiny bottle and there is an 18% gratuity added on automatically for any size part.
The food was not worth the price. The ticket had gratuity included but our server said it didn't. We still have them a tip bc they were attentive and probably don't get paid enough. The food was mid. It turns out on some days the menu is limited but I didn't know this until my whole order was not available. The food portions were good but the food itself was overpriced. I had better food at various street vending locations throughout the city. The drinks were delicious so no complaints on that end. Overall would not recommend. Unless you are part of the gentrification then you may like it.
I went to Cantina La 20 with high expectations, and the experience was mixed. The standout was Fernando at the bar—he made some of the best margaritas I’ve ever had and delivered an outstanding level of service. The guacamole was also excellent: fresh, well balanced, and beautifully prepared. The mariachi band added a great atmosphere, and everyone we encountered was friendly and clearly well intentioned. That said, the service at the table detracted from the meal. Staff were constantly hovering and repeatedly upselling, which became uncomfortable. We were also interrupted several times while talking, which felt intrusive rather than attentive. In terms of the food, beyond the guacamole it simply didn’t match the price point—fine in parts, but not memorable enough to justify the cost. Overall, there are positives here (especially the bar service and ambience), but the dining experience wasn’t quite for me.
I have to rate the restaurant low because I could not get to understand what to order the main menu is in Spanish and no one understood English. In the end the two dishes I got, one was inedible with the level of spiciness and the other was simply a small tasting menu. I believe the restaurant need to have an English menu for the tourists or the business travelers in the area to pick their choices from. The wait staff could always warn the patrons not to try certain dishes that are inconsummable like the spicy shrimp salad that I tried. I eat spicy food and this was 20X spicier than the spiciest food I have ever eaten.
