Not sure why this has a 4.0 but the only downside here is the price, which is a bit high. The ambience, the food and the service are really great! It's a mostly-seafood only place where the seafood quality is fresh, high turnover so you know the live seafood won't sit there day after day. We sat at the bar and saw all the live action, very fun. We had the grilled shrimps (so good!!!!!!), fresh and the sauce was to die for. Tuna tostada and the clam aguachilles were excellent too. Would totally come back.

I was surprised by the low ratings here, as my experience was fantastic. This isn’t a traditional Mexican seafood spot—it’s a creative fusion of American/continental-style seafood with a touch of Mexican flair, and they pull it off brilliantly. Interestingly, most of the tables (all during my visit) were filled with locals. Contrary to some reviews, I didn’t find the flavors “gringo-fied” or lacking authenticity—it’s simply a unique approach that works beautifully. The scallops aguachile was exceptional—a fresh, flavorful twist on a classic. The seafood platter was the highlight: everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and ready to enjoy. The attention to detail stood out, especially with the crab and shrimp, where thoughtful touches like lemon zest and precision in preparation elevated the experience. While lobster wasn’t available, the crab roll was a satisfying alternative—generous portions and well-executed, though not as standout as the other dishes. Dessert was equally delightful; the soft serve was delicious, and I’m eager to try more from their dessert menu. The drinks were superb—both the margarita and the Mago cocktail were perfectly balanced and refreshing. Finally, the service from Miguel Ángel and Elias was flawless and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu!

Everything we had was delicious and super fresh. The tuna tostada is insane and a must order. They had run out of lobster so we got the crab roll which was full of flavour and the shrimp and fish tacos were also delicious. The soft serve is exceedingly good and the flan was fanatic. I can’t fault the food - everything we had was bursting with flavour. There was a mess up with our reservation via our hotel but they were very accommodating and managed to seat us. The mezcal house cocktail is also a must order. Very fresh and balanced. Goes really well with the seafood. Love this place !!!!

Seafood restaurant with a classy, vintage vibe. Reservations recommended. What we liked: - High-quality ingredients and solid flavors - Oysters and mignonette sauce were on point - Soft-shell crab (grilled variation to make it gluten-free) and the complementary sauces were delicious - Dover fish (big portion, 800g, good for sharing) - Cocktails are decent (I like the French 75) What could have been better: - The dishes were a tad salty for my liking - The service was very attentive & kind 💕, though the execution could be more organized Good to come with friends & family to sample more dishes, as the portions are pretty big.

Lovely place for lunch, with a fantastic crudo selection. The well-known crab burger, however, was a disappointment for me: over-fried, and the strongly flavored salad inside masked the delicate taste of the seafood.

Beautifully plated, really good taste of the dishes we order, but I found it really expensive, I don't mind paying extra but I don't think the place merits it. I guess it has prices accordingly to what Roma has become with ex pats. They didn't have Lobster Roll (that with the conversation rate it would be a 30usd lobster roll)

A maritime voyage of flavors in a setting that’s equal parts cool and approachable. The atmosphere hums with a positive energy, the kind that invites you to linger over every course. The service was kind and prompt with dishes staggered to keep the meal flowing smoothly. I began with a duo of crudos: kanpachi and tuna. Both were fresh, boasting a subtle richness that was further enhanced by minimal seasoning. The kanpachi, with its delicate sweetness, edged out as my favorite. Then came the chorizo fish queso. The blend of cheese and fish could’ve been risky, but resulted in a surprisingly delicious and deeply satisfying dip. Served with golden bread, it was comfort food with an unexpected twist. The whole sea bass made a grand entrance in a tableside fish-shaped vessel. This dish is made for sharing, but you might want to hoard it. Buttery, citrusy, and laced with chives and bursts of roe. I returned to it repeatedly. The wagyu steak with french fries brought heartiness to the table. While not melt-in-your-mouth wagyu, the steak was still tender and flavorful, paired with crispy, thick-cut fries that were addictive. A good partner to both the fish and steak. Finally, the soft serve dessert. Smooth, creamy, and somehow light, it was topped with delicate shavings. It’s a must-order—even if you’re full, you’ll find room. With its laid-back slash elevated atmosphere, Ultramarinos Demar is a destination for a night out where quality food is the star of the show. The crowd-pleasing menu ensures there's something for everyone.

The sea food here is like no other sea food restaurant in Mexico city, this one manages to be quite unique and delicious. Every single plate was amazing, having its Mexican root with an international twist. My favorite was the shrimp tostada, the kampachi crudo, and the soft serve (best in the city). The waiters are very attentive and give great suggestions. The place has a very soft but yet sofisticated and moder look. I'm definitely coming back for more.

For those with allergies, avoid this place at all costs. I have a serious allergy to soy and went to Ultramarinos to eat today. I love the chef’s other restaurants and was really excited to eat there. I told the hostess and the server about my allergy and asked him to please make sure none of the food I ordered had soy. Coincidentally, the person who sat next to us was also allergic to soy and we sort of joked about it because she pressed to speak to the manager about her allergies and I started noticing he was giving her different information than our server gave us. When our food arrived, I asked the server (a different one) again if it was soy free and he said yes. We ate a few bites before the woman next to us asked the manager why she hadn’t been offered that and he said it had soy. He sort of ran away, two different servers came who said it didn’t have soy, then we called the manager who said it did. Basically they have no idea what they are feeding you. Thankfully I only had a few bites and I still had to go to the bathroom to throw up whatever I consumed and also took medication for the allergy. It was sort of a miracle that this woman sat next to me, otherwise this restaurant would’ve gladly lied to us about ingredients and would’ve let me get seriously ill because they were too lazy or too careless to make sure what we were eating was safe. I will never understand places that don’t take people’s health and safety seriously.
