We stopped here for breakfast before taking on the hike. I'm happy we choose here. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee well brewed and delicate. I was full and fueled for my hike. Definitely recommend El Chile Gallo!

Regularly recommended for its lovely terrace and freshly prepared snacks, it has interesting, though somewhat basic, cocktail options. The menu isn't very varied, and the only real drawback is that it's a bit pricey for what they offer, but that's understandable given its prime location on the main avenue.

The place is very pleasant, the food is delicious, and the service is good. The decor makes you feel right at home and you won't want to leave. Excellent for breakfast or enjoying a beer on a sunny day. Order from the outside tables if you prefer, so you can enjoy the atmosphere.

Okay. From the owners of Los Colorines, but without its signature flavor. They have a small terrace overlooking a little plaza and a palapa facing the main street of Tepoz. We chose the terrace, which has tables with traditional Mexican chairs. I sat on one that was all broken and uncomfortable, but I moved without any problem. I went for breakfast. To drink, good orange juice and good coffee brewed in a clay pot. The food: the green chilaquiles left something to be desired; the salsa wasn't very good, to say the least. On the other hand, the red ones were delicious. Both were served with whole black beans, which were just okay. We also ordered them with cecina (dried, salted beef), and they brought a very small portion; we had to order an extra serving. The cecina was good, though. The green enchiladas were very generously portioned, but with the same issue regarding the green salsa. They were, however, packed with chicken. The service is good, but that's about it—nothing special. It's not slow, and the portions are generous. Bonus points for being pet-friendly and having water bowls and a pet menu. I think they could improve.
