The food, which is the main thing, is delicious, although the service can be a little slow. You just have to be patient; they are very friendly and try to make you feel better than at home.

A great option for dining in Mexico City's Historic Center. Very close to the Palace of Fine Arts is the Hotel Marlowe. Its restaurant is "La Bufa." Good service, affordable prices, and decent food, though nothing extraordinary. Despite its central location, it's not very crowded, except for the tourists staying at the hotel. This creates a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for dining or enjoying a drink at the bar. Definitely a recommended spot.

The restaurant is located inside the Hotel Marlowe. It's a good option if you don't want to go into the historic center to find somewhere for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The service is good. The food is acceptable; it's not the best seasoning in the world, but it's not bad. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are average. I've included some pictures of the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus, as well as photos of two dishes so you can see the portion sizes.

Good prices, good food, and cold coffee. Service is somewhat slow. Very poor service from the waiter, as if they were doing you a favor by serving you. They also don't have a person or ID with their name. It would be ideal to know who's serving you. Overall, considering this isn't their specialty as a restaurateur, it's good or bad. I hope they improve.

I stayed at the restaurant and ordered room service. I heard the person complaining about ordering food, which I must have neglected to order at the time. I ordered spaghetti carbonara, and it tasted really bad. The cheese tasted spoiled, and the pasta sauce was poorly made. The only redeeming feature was the bread roll with butter.

The waiters are very rude. I heard one of them call us "idiots" as he left. We'd rather go somewhere else. I don't recommend this place.

A couple of weeks ago we ordered spaghetti carbonara. The most awful pasta I've ever been served. I didn't take a picture and preferred to leave the plate almost untouched, but I'll describe it: spaghetti with pieces of scrambled egg, mushrooms, a very watery cream sauce (anyone who knows about this type of spaghetti will know that it's not made with cream, but with a very particular way of combining pecorino cheese with egg), it didn't have pecorino cheese (a necessary ingredient for carbonara) and it didn't have pepper either (another necessary ingredient). It really did look like they'd put leftovers on top of the spaghetti. Horrid.

Terrible experience, I do not recommend it. Food: The food is good, but not the best. They do NOT have a drinks menu; they just ask you "What would you like to drink?" and you have to guess what they have and what they don't... Service: It's good but could be better. The waiters are not very attentive, and you have to wait for them to come to see you, and they are not very clear about the menu (which is not well described on the menu). Establishment: Every time I've come here, I find food thrown under the tables, so the place is not very clean. The same goes for the bottles, glasses, and cutlery; they are not very clean. The icing on the cake (and the reason for my rating) is that I happened to be there in the presence of the owner and his friends, one of whom started smoking inside the closed establishment, which violates COFEPRIS regulations. The owner did nothing about it, knowing there were other guests. The food is not expensive but there is not much variety either.
