Opinions de The Buckin' Bean Clarendon
The Bucking Bean is a surprise gem along the vast expanse of 287. Anyone who travels regularly from Dallas to Colorado is familiar with the miles and miles of desolate pasture land, dotted with tiny indistinguishable towns where it seems your only options are Sonic, DQ and gas stations. I was pleasantly surprised to find this coffee shop in Clarendon, TX. Great coffee menu with various milk options (I ordered oat milk), friendly staff, vegan snacks and cinnamon rolls the size of your face that were certainly homemade by a local baker. Not much space to sit and hang out but I’m sure most of their customers are just making a lot stop along a very long drive. Highly recommend, please keep this place in business! :)
Traveling through from Amarillo in desperate need of caffeine and found this spot right off of the Main Street. Had the pleasure of meeting Hunter and he was super welcoming and he made amazing coffee! Give that man a raise!
I stopped in here today driving to Denver and it was a great experience! The blonde girl working was very nice and happy to help me. There’s a great selection of syrups to add to your drinks :) I got a sugar free blended coffee- half the powder & one shot of decaf espresso + almond milk & sugar free white chocolate and cinnamon brown sugar. It was 10/10! The shop is clean & there is also a drive through.
Oh my goodness! What a great little coffee shop! The owner is a real sweetheart too! We were going to look for a Starbucks in Amarillo as we traveled but saw this shop on maps and decided to try it out. I'm glad we did because everything we ordered was absolutely DEEE-licious!!! Well done! You should try it!
What an hidden gem in Clarendon Texas. Coffee was delicious. We ordered 2 Buckin’ Bronc, 1 iced coffee and 1 iced Chai latte. All beverages were perfectly made. Staff was really friendly and detail oriented. This would be my Go To place if I live closer. Definitely recommend it!
The coffee is delectable and picturesque. When you walk in, the employees greet you and they were very amiable. Overall ‘The Buckin’ Bean’ is an imperative stop when traveling through the quiet town of Clarendon, Texas.
Love it here. We'll worth the stop passing through or needing a pick-me-up. My granddaughter loves the Buckin Bean, blueberry muffins and either strawberry or chocolate hot or cold depending on the weather. They have great coffee and not only great service but friendly too!! We feel like family there.
Our lattes and muffins were delicious, and the girls working inside were both so sweet! Great road trip stop for coffee and treats!
Fantastic addition to our cross country road trip! I’m not normally a big muffin fan, but this banana nut muffin was light, airy and DELICIOUS! Cinnamon cappuccino was perfect and satisfied my need for caffeine. Thanks!!
Others have said it and I will say it too: this place is real cute. I ordered a latte and I enjoyed the latte. Would come again, if I pass through.

I sure appreciate these businesses that give you a choice on whether or not you're going to wear the mask, stay so many feet apart and they stick to the constitutional rights of the American people and it's a fabulous coffee shop...
GREAT little coffee stop!!! They had a variety of other drinks, my kids got lemonade with boba and I got a suggested iced coconut with Irish cream latte (there was a name but I forgot it!). HIGHLY SUGGGEST!!! Also clean bathroom! Which is a plus with kiddos which was necessary on the drive to football games!!!
I don’t like Starbucks so was happy to find this cute local coffee shop. Went thru the drive thru and was influenced by other reviewers to get a cinnamon roll - did not disappoint! The lady working the drive thru was sweet as well. Highly recommend!
Nice place for a break on long drive. Small, clean place. Nice staff. Good drinks. My wife particularly liked the Italian soda.
Stopped here on my way back to California from Oklahoma and it was some of the best local owned coffee I’ve tried yet! Very friendly and cheap, easy to understand.
Just stopped by as we were passing through town. We had an iced mocha and a Buckin Bronco and a banana muffin. All were delicious. I went inside and was excited to see a cute local coffee shop with character. The two young men working were very polite and made great coffee!! Stopped because of the great reviews & the owner response to the bad review which was great. Crushed it. We will stop by every time we are passing through. ❤️
My dad used to stop by this little coffee spot years ago when he was out hauling in his cargo van. He always told me how great the place was and how their coffee hit different strong, smooth, and full of flavor. So I had to check it out for myself. I finally made the trip, and wow he wasn’t lying. The place is still as cozy and welcoming as ever, and the coffee Absolutely incredible. You can taste the quality in every sip. Definitely a hidden gem worth the stop.
I am an admitted coffee snob, and this place really surprised me. I had a tasty iced latte with oat milk and the ladies working the counter, even refilled my travel mug so I didn’t have to use plastic this time :-) thank y’all, it was delicious!!
On our way to Austin, we stumbled upon this hidden gem—a charming little cafe with an impressive selection of tea and coffee drinks. The service was impeccable, courtesy of a mother-daughter duo who went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Worth a stop and walking inside the cafe. Best special ice tea drink ever. See you in Kyle.
Super cute locally owned coffee shop. We stopped on our way home from Colorado. The drinks were great, restroom was clean and the young lady working was friendly.
Great frappe, amazing cinnamon rolls. Ladies working the counter, very friendly, perfect example of Texas hospitality. Will definitely stop in again next time Im rolling through.

Cute little coffee shop with a drive through. Convenient location to stop while passing through. Lattes were mediocre at best. Reply: the coffee was hot. We drove off and tried it in 10-15 min. Not going to turn around and waste time.

If there was an option for zero stars, that would be my choice. This place is an absolute joke. Early morning on July the 10th I’d say around 8:30, I had missed the Starbucks in Amarillo and I found this place on the map! I ordered an ice caramel macchiato and was handed some nasty, watered down vanilla mess that tasted like dirty dishwasher with coffee grinds floating in it. I don’t know what kind of operation they’re running, but it sure as hell isn’t a coffee shop. It was undrinkable, straight trash. And don’t even get me started on the people working there. Miserable, rude, and completely checked out. No smile, no hello, no effort whatsoever. Just blank faces and bad attitudes. Like doing the bare minimum was too much to ask. If you hate your job that much, maybe quit instead of handing out garbage drinks and acting like you’re doing us a favor. I will never be going back. Don’t waste your money or your patience here. ❤️ Glad I could help.
