Atypical place. You’ll be surprised by the location and the traditional atmosphere. Food is excellent and really affordable. Don’t hesitate and enjoy this spot.

The location is true: just five minutes away, you're immersed in a forest, far from everything and everyone. The exterior of the cabin offers spectacular views, from the forest to a view of Lake Como. Book a table: park in Piazza IV Novembre, and until 1 pm or later (I don't know the evening hours), a jeep is available to take you to the cabin... or you can walk; it's about a 15-minute walk through the forest along a very well-defined path. A few dishes, but quality ones: the very kind owner (Marco, thank you!) will tell you about the various origins of the small but excellent farms that supply the cabin. I've seen baptisms and birthdays. It's a great place for children because there are also swings. I'll be back in the summer because eating outside will be wonderful. If I had to make one comment: it's better to remove any unwanted items from the outside; seeing broken chairs and other things gives off a sense of neglect. But apart from that: highly recommended for those who want to eat in the middle of the woods

An excellent place for those who want to breathe in the fresh air and eat good Lombardy cuisine. I'd call it a mountain hut/restaurant, but my advice is to have a jeep pick you up (a free service provided by the mountain hut) because the trail is 1 km long and quite challenging. Anyway, back to the restaurant, what can I say? The good food and the cheerful staff are the real highlights. We'll definitely be back because it was a truly wonderful experience.

The hut is reached via a relatively easy trail, which I consider a fundamental part of the experience. The hut is reached after quite a climb, and as soon as you see it, you'll immediately understand the philosophy behind it. Here, you don't use your cell phone; here, you talk. There's no Cracco here, just people who work with passion. On Fridays and Saturdays, the menu is à la carte, and reservations are required. We had an excellent appetizer, fettuccine with venison, and a delicious stew. A homemade dessert followed, followed by a delicious local liqueur. Everything was very well done, and sitting in front of the fireplace makes it even more beautiful. Kudos to the owners.

Staff need to review their customer relations. I understand that this is a private area, but when faced with a person with eating issues, and after politely clarifying that they thought it was like a cabin where you could bring your own food, not because they're homeless as you define them, but precisely because of health problems, hearing the owner say she's not eating tonight, much less denying her access to a bench off to the side to eat, well, let me tell you, that's not your job. Another thing, the menu surcharge was also paid and 1 bottle of wine for 2 people, so you're the homeless ones! You just had to be kinder. I'm not the one involved, but I was there at the table. I'm sorry, but the 30 people, not 40, understood perfectly well! You're better off staying behind the scenes, which is probably better. Another thing, the menu includes 3 courses of polenta with a paltry addition, LIKE a spoonful of gorgonzola, and the vegetables look like those in the Russian salad you buy frozen! When the menu was delivered, they arrogantly told us that there was no takeaway, so if we were full after the second course, we had to let them know and they wouldn't bring us the third! Well, if I pay for 3 courses, you have to give me 3!

Oh dear, what a lovely cabin inside, but a less well-kept exterior. For two, we spent a whopping €90 on lunch, having only ordered water and three slices of cake (€5 each), which I would have liked to have been on the set menu, which already cost €30 and €36 each. The pizzoccheri were good, but the saffron pasta was much less so; the pork and venison were not the most tender, and the polenta was bland. The buckwheat cake needed a more melt-in-the-mouth jam, and the cheesecake was light.

We spent a wonderful evening in good company. The lodge is truly beautiful, run by smiling people, but unfortunately, the polenta evening wasn't very well received. The polenta was too soft, like semolina, but the accompanying dishes, such as stracottolo, mushrooms, and uncia, were delicious.

You get there from a small road with a certain slope, and parking near the departure is a bit difficult, so with children or elderly people it is not very easy, even if at certain times a shuttle should be available. The menu on paper looks very rich and inviting but then what is presented, especially the meat, has an appearance, in the portions and quality, that disappoints expectations (a bit like a canteen) but above all that does not justify the price. Very good service, not always accommodating, perhaps due to inexperience. Honestly I do not recommend, despite seeing generous reviews. Perhaps we came at the wrong time.

We arrived by jeep 🚙, because you can't drive all the way up; you have to park 1 km away in the square and look for suitable parking given the limited spaces. They have jeep service to get to the cabin, or you can take a walk... Not for the lazy... Very nice place, wonderful view, the sore point is the food and the service. 2 waitresses for about 60/70 people, with 2/3 other people occasionally coming to help. 1 hour wait to take orders, which were actually a set menu. So we could have ordered the appetizer first, so at least the wait would have been less painful... The grilled food was tasteless and cold! Only the polenta was piping hot, and even the dessert wasn't anything special. Total disappointment, because the place is very nice.

We went for lunch today. I have to say there's no comparison compared to the previous management. The food was much better, and the staff were much more hospitable and helpful. But what really outraged me was that we asked for service to take us down from the cabin, and they said they'd do it after the service. So we waited. We had a pregnant woman and a small child with us. After waiting a bit, we went to ask them to take us down, and they told us we had to tell them first... But first when? And then, when the bill came, they should have asked if we needed a ride. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back, and I have to say that the cost of the extras was also exaggerated... Desserts, wine, coffee...
