Late Sunday afternoon only one dish could be ordered: English Sunday beef roast. It was delicious 😋 and very well priced! Very English atmosphere.

Sunday roast gegeten (kip met groenten en aardappels) met heerlijke pudding na. Was top! De kinderen zeiden ‘het eten was echt heel lekker’ dus complimenten aan de chef. Vriendelijke bediening. Locatie is ook leuk met mooie vergezichten. Genoeg parkeerplekken ter plaatse.

Wow what a little gem of a place !! We stayed locally and went for our evening meal and drinks , ended up staying the rest of the evening . Was made to feel welcome by the staff and the British ex pat locals . Had a great night and made new friends . The chefs garlic and mushroom sauce is to die for . Paul the chef even made us some to take back home and gave my wife the recipe , what a top lad ! We are going back today for lunch . My teenage boys enjoyed the darts board and were also made to feel welcome . The hake was amazing , full English was pukka . Don't ignore this little gem in the mountains .

Kleines Restaurant mit toller Aussicht, mitten in den Bergen, auf der Strecke zwischen Torox und Competa. Sehr guter, günstiger Cafe con Lecce.

Wie bei den anderen Rezessionen beschrieben, wird das Restaurant von Engländern betrieben. Hatte ich so nicht erwartet. Wir hatten nur einen Kuchen und Kaffee und der war sehr lecker. Das Personal ist mega freundlich. Das Essen auf den anderen Tischen sah in jedem Fall lecker aus. Innen eine typische Pub, was natürlich auch englische Gäste anlockt. Wir kommen wieder. 😃

OK the review that was not complimentary about the food must have gone on a bad day, if at all. We arrived in Cómpeta mid afternoon on a Sunday. Regret we missed the Sunday Roast but will try again. What a place. Great atmosphere although I think the Brits outnumbered most. Within minutes of arriving the locals made us feel most welcome. My dog was a great hit. If you are looking just to chill, sit outside and take in the vibes. Someone is bound to come over and chat if you are new. The food is a little better than basic and very good too, especially for the price and as for the wine prices I was shocked at how reasonable they were. Here for a few weeks so will give it a go for that Sunday Roast and maybe a mid week meal.

Niedlich aber schon ( optisch)sehr verbraucht . Wir sind kurz eingekehrt auf unserem Heimweg , wollten was Essen, aber die Küche war zu unserer Besuchszeit noch nicht eröffnet. Wir tranken kurz was und werden definitiv, aufgrund der Freundlichkeit, nochmals dahin fahren, um die Küche zu probieren. Weil laut Karte gibt es dort einige Leckereien, wo probiert werden soll. Also, Versuch 2 wird das Essen getestet. Ambiente ist halt schon bisl runtergerockt und in die Jahre gekommen, aber Freundlichkeit und-eventuell gute Küche, dass ist wichtig

This is a very English bar with English food and beer.

Friendly owner, good setting. Dominated by British tourists and UK immigrants and not a Spaniard in sight.

Das Essen war gut, es dauerte etwas länger, aber im Urlaub kein Problem. Allerdings die Sauberkeit ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, Tischdecke schmutzig und klebrig. Mehr vom Restaurant wollte ich nicht kennen lernen:-)!

Mooie plek, maar verder complete chaos toen wij er waren. 1 persoon in de keuken en 1 persoon voor de bar en terras. Terras zat vol. Wilde wat eten maar moesten minimaal anderhalf uur wachten volgens het meisje in de bediening, die overigens erg haar best deed.

If you're missing English food while in Andalusia this is your place. It's a mixture of a restaurant and sports bar. Unfortunately only American beer on tap. Food is a bit greasy but makes you full.

Awful food. Service was nice and the view was great, which sadly is the best thing to be said. Food was absolutely disgusting. Get a beer but do yourself a favor and don't order any food.

Disappointing for myself, however popular for others.

A British pub, certainly not a gastropub ... a brawl erupted while we were there.

Would not recommend it unless you want English pub food

Schöne Lage,- leider musten wir feststellen das viele Tische unsauber und nicht abgeräumt waren, wir mussten lange auf's Essen warten und dann war es enttäuschend- so schlecht haben wir schon lange nicht mehr gegessen- nicht empfehlenswert.

I would not recommend this pub. We couldn't have been made more unwelcome. We arrived at 6pm on an evening in July with two adults and two older children. No staff, the only lady working was clearly making a fuss about being alone and making it very visble. We waited 20 mins for a drinks order. Then we were told it was over an hour for food. She clearly didn't want us there. We were table four in the queue if we did order. So four tables equalled an hour or more for food?! The only plus was that four drinks only cost 9 euros. We drove to Torrox for a decent restaurant with great service and lovely pizza. A total shambles of a place.

The lady server was polite & friendly. The views were lovely. There is lots of parking space, and it's easy to find as it sits high on the hill. The beer was ok. Unfortunately, the food was awful! Ordered an omelette which came out burnt on both sides, and a Thai chicken curry which was drowning in oil - there must have been ¼ pint on the pasta bowl. Completely inedible. The whole place looked uncared for. Shame.
