Alsham Mediterranean Kitchen

Alsham is my favorite place to eat when I visit my family in Corona. My son and I have tried many dishes and we have loved all of them. The food is authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious.

Excellent Middle-eastern food. Always tastes fresh. Maklouba with lamb is my go to dish. I love their hummus. Several vegetarian and vegan options. Other dishes I’ve liked include Baba Ghanoush, Falafel, Gyros, Chicken Kabab, Beef Shawarma, Moussaka, Tabbouleh Salad. The family platter was a good, affordable alternative for catering a small party.

When I think of real, authentic Syrian food here in California, I think of this amazing restaurant. It doesn’t get more authentic than this place. The inside is very cozy and reminds me of Sham (a region in Syria). Would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for something real outside the typical restaurants.

We had a great dinner tonight. Ordered the veggie platter and the chicken kabob plate. Both were authentic, delicious and presented beautifully. Highly recommend.

We recently moved to the area and we got an order to go, the food was amazing! We got the chicken shawarma and the kabab trio (beef and chicken) with an order of falafel and baba ganoush. Everything was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. We especially loved the falafel. I have had falafel from many restaurants, and this was by far the best seasoned, best cooked and most flavorful falafel we've had. I highly recommend this restaurant! We will be regulars here for sure!

First time visiting and am excited to go back. Grabbed an order to go to cover a few days worth of meals and enjoyed the chicken kabab entree for my dinner tonight that included bread, delicious hummus, Garlic sauce, tender rice and some pickled (?) veggies. The kabab was Absolutely delicious, tender, Savory chicken and great portions. The restaurant is so clean and appointed with a gorgeous chandelier; the staff was just so on point and friendly. Got my food to go but will definitely dine in next time! So happy to have this dining option in West Corona! Welcome to the neighborhood!!

The restaurant space is beautiful. I think it would be a great space to host a baby shower or large party. I enjoy their Falafel wrap. I have not tried all of the food yet but what I have tasted is great. The staff and owners are very kind. You can even order online for To-go.

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend and will return soon for more. The staff was very hospitable; owner even treated us to complimentary tea after a delicious meal. Ambience created the perfect atmosphere and complimented the middle eastern food beautifully!

Look in tough times like now, I am a devoted for small restaurants. This guy is welcoming working by himself. Quality outstanding, and fast good and more than what i asked. Please big guys learn to be humble. Here is this persian restaurant struggling big time, no help from nobody. But magic happens in the kitchen! Yes Sr you can do it.

We went as a group of 5 people for dinner here Sat night. We oreder chicken plates and lamb mandi. The food was really fresh and delicious. The service was slow because I believe it was only one person serving and hosting but the food was great and the owner was super kind and friendly. We finished the meal with baklava and cardamom mint tea which was really tasty. Overall it was a good experience. We were so happy with the owners kindness that despite leaving tip on card my husband left extra cash tip lol. The kindness of owner and tasty food made up for the wait for the food.

I have been going for the past 6 monhs and every instance is better than the last! Atmosphere is great and seating area is modern and arty. Food is always fresh and delicious! Their spicy potatoes, fresh house salad, hummus and chicken or lamb Mandi and my favorite things! Pricing is very fair for the portion size. So glad I don't have to go to OC for legit Mediterranean food! The owner Yasser is a gem!

I read previous reviews complaining that the food here was just reheated leftovers. However, during my visit, it seemed like the food was freshly cooked. They even gave me extra pita bread and garlic butter for free. One concern I have is that I only saw the owner, with no staff around. I wonder how they will manage if a large crowd arrives at the same time—you might end up waiting longer.

They were a bit too salty overall but still delicious and wouldn’t ruin everything. They give generous meat that match up for the price they charge. Perfect for family or friends gathering because you can share multiple dishes!

Nice place inside, decored well. There is a prayer carpet to pray on. Bathrooms are clean and has soap unlike most places they forget to refill the restrooms. Sandwiches are small but delicious 😋 first time here and it's Halal. Thank you for a good experience.

We had a great family Christmas lunch, And got a great offer to have buffet for New year . The whole family enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Thank you Abu Ibrahim and his family. Also we got a great mediteranian breakfast on Sunday.

This place was clean and welcoming starting at the door. Our plates were full to the rims with large portions of food. Somebody has all grandmas and aunties cooking in the kitchen because the food taste like love went into every bite. It really taste like genuine ole school recipe style cooking, nothing rushed or thrown together. However with that being said it took forever to receive our order. Be prepared to wait 45min-1hr to eat this amazing food. That’s the reason for the 4 stars. Also, some of the items on the menu was not available and that was disappointing. My family enjoyed the meal and the experience so we will be back. Our server was really nice and she was working hard.

We dined in on a Friday Evening. The dining room was empty, some people came in and went to the Hookah Lounge and a few pickup orders. I ordered a baked Salmon plate, the Salmon was delicious but the rice was flavorless and did not taste fresh, steamed vegetables same texture as frozen bags at a grocery store. We ordered two deserts, had one at the table and took another 30 min. to get the Baklava. No apologies for the wait.

Stopped by here for dinner. Their hummus was delish, didn’t like the lamb biryani option much. Overall an ok place for dinner, I’m sure there are better options around in corona. Service was not that great either.

I was really hoping that this place would be good because I live nearby. I got the beef shawarma wrap and I was very disappointed. It was thin with hardly any meat or other ingredients. Here’s a picture for reference.

First time here. I bought a Shawerma Wrap Sandwish , It is not worth the money I spent on it. very thin wrap , has few peices of meat, does not taste shawerma. Probably you need 5 to 7 of them to make you full. Other places coast less money and three times bigger than that untastey wrap. I do not recommand this place.The place was empty when I arrived. Not busy at all

I wish I saw the review by @Worldbeauties before I went. I got the Maqlobah and it came out within 5 min. Tasted very oily, and the meat tasted old. The portion was huge and I was trying my best to eat as much as I can because I didn’t want to waste. But after I tasted my husbands Saj Shawarma, it tasted like 4-5 day old chicken. We stopped eating and asked for the chef and found out the waiter was waiting on us and serving the food. Now we knew for sure the food was just being heated up. Please save your stomach and your wallet.

Not welcome. Wife and I were new to the neighborhood. Trying places within walking distance. Came in well before closing. Sat ourselves at a table with menus already laid out after we were waved in by someone sitting. Waited 10-15 min with no interaction from anyone else despite the place only having one other table occupied by the people that had waved us in having a conversation, not eating? It felt as if we were being told to try somewhere else through inaction. So we did. I see in the reviews here that we weren't the only ones made to feel unwelcome.

UPDATE: it’s funny how as soon as I leave a review 3 weeks ago, it’s flooded with fake new reviews 😂😂😂 yeah , dropping down to one star Food was awful. The kabobs were so tough and the baklava was soaked in syrup that they were mushy and slimy. $50 on a 3 trio kabob plate and balaclava and I was highly disappointed. The rice was gross and the hummus tasted a bit sour. The bread was hard! Wasn’t fresh at all.. Order was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes, gave them 45 and still had to wait another 20. The place has a really funky smell but it looks nice . I just don’t think it’s worth the price at all.

Ordered 2 dinners 5 kabobs total. Was told kabobs were 4 pieces each. And meat quality was very poor. Rice very underwhelming. For $50 plus. Do not recommend. Way better value and quality elsewhere.
