I like this place. The reason I brought my nephew here to celebrate his birthday day with me was because I like the atmosphere and the food. I was really disappointed with the amount of staff that was serving. Our waiter did a great job. He was juggling six or seven tables. There were management walking around three or four people three or four people that knew the staff or was the staff but were sitting in the bar area. Chatting it up and the service was slow. The food was slow and it just wasn't the experience that I have grown accustomed to. It appeared that if all of those six or seven other people including the management standing around chatting with each other and standing at the reception area and in the bar were on duty. It should have been way better. And I've been there when the food was amazing and the service was amazing. This time the food was amazing and the service lacked speed attentiveness refill just the standard stuff. I was disappointed. I'm glad it was my nephew's first time there. He enjoyed his meal and we had a great day. That was the last part of the day so he was hungry okay. We had a couple of drinks. He said that hamburger was awesome. But I know this place has done better than that day. I hope this is just a one-off.

What can you say, they are a classic and food is delicious. This location has friendly staff, the environment is kept clean. We go here often for lunch and just this week they started their lunch buffet. Warm food, soup, made to order tacos, and of course you still get endless chips and salsa. Definitely recommend this location.

Best Mexican Food I've had since e the last time I was here! I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito (chimichanga style). This was the perfect meal. The carne asada was juicy and flavorful. The onions, peppers and cheese really made this even better. This rice and beans were cooked perfectly try as well. I have to mention the sweet corn cake separately because it deserves its very own mention......Only at El Torito can you get this original, devious taste sensation! YUM!! The atmosphere here is really cool and modern. Love the big bull statue too. Very clean and well spaced. I have to give a special 'shout out'to our server Diana. She not only was friendly and fast, but also very knowledgeable of the cuisine history. Thanks Diana for the great service ☆☆☆☆☆

Food is delicious as always. There was a bit of wait today with the service but it was understandable. They were a little understaffed but they did the very best under the circumstances.

The bartender Shopia was overworked but very nice, please get her some help before she starts looking for a better job. The food is good, but the restaurant is understaffed, expect a wait for everything. I've been to a lot of El Torito restaurants, but I doubt I would go out of my way to come back here.

We have been here quite a few times for dinner and we had a great experience before. But the last time was not so great. My husband’s favorite is the beef tacos as he always orders it every time we dine in here and this time he didn't like it because it was very salty. At first, I noticed that he seemed not to like his food after the first bite and he tried to eat it but couldn't take it as it was getting very salty every bite. He politely called the manager and told him that it was very salty, the manager offered a new dish to him for free and we waited for it and just took it home. We ended up sharing my food and had some chips and salsa (our favorite). The staff is very nice though and the place at that time was not crowded.

I haven't eaten at an El Torito since the taco Tuesday craze. We would go mainly for the drinks and socializing. My friend visited from Texas and requested to eat here. The place was pretty much empty besides us, we were a party of 10. Our waitress seemed very busy even though the establishment was not. She was very polite, but she was not attentive. However, we as a group were patient, polite, and understanding. Most of our party did NOT enjoy our food. We gave our leftovers to our dog ( he rarely gets human food). The atmosphere was cool, but the food and service were left to be desired.

Oh man El torito used to be good! That food is sub par. Waiter didn’t even offer a second drink even though mine was empty. Asked for sweet corn cake and had to remind him. Food was meh!

Not my first time dining at an el Torito, but first time at this location; we were seated for about 15 mins before getting checked on which was surprising given it was not busy, we ordered a queso dip and two cocktails which we got another 15 mins later and the queso looked wrinkled like it had been sitting out for some time. While waiting for our order, somewhere in the restaurant, workers were unloading boxes or dishes or something making a really deafening and unpleasant sound echo throughout the restaurant and after asking for our check, we never saw our waitress again, who was really inattentive during the entirety of our stay, only seeing her once.

Something is off at the Sunday brunch. We have gone many, many times and it always was a 100 percent experience. I don’t know if management changed, but the set up for the brunch, food offered, taste quality were all different and not even close to same quality before. Food left out too long. It’s usually packed and wasn’t-maybe the word is out. Noticed understaffed and no management present. Hope this was just an off day or we won’t be coming so again. So disappointed.

Such a horrible experience on 2/7/26. From the lack of customer service, to the horrendous wait time. We waited over 30 mins to be greeted in the bar. We noticed people coming after us were greeted quickly by the older guy in the bar. When we asked him 3 times what was going on he kept saying “she’s coming”. After requesting to speak to speak to the manager, he offered to cover our bill. To which we were not requesting however, he insisted stating no excuses for the lack of service but that they are terribly under staffed. We definitely will not be coming here again.

Manager Kasandra, a good leader willing to learn. Kasandra will do her very best to ensure a good time. Mistakes may happen but Kasandra will address with professionalism. Berenice Zendejas can be helpful. Carolina the district manager is key to customer satisfaction. This restaurant was undermanaged, understaffed, under a rock! Kasandra will help to make it better.

Great happy hour scheduled. Horrible staffing; 1 bartender. Ridiculous. Hence service is horrible. Waiting 10 to 20 minutes for a drink or to order. Sometimes, lots of space but can’t sit because no one has pickup the dishes from the previous customers. Came here for 3 weeks, 3 times per week, during the week. No reward points for alcohol. Corona / 91 fwy. Never coming here again.

Went to el Torito tonight 01/13/26 for dinner with my family I am really disappointed with the service tonight this is the second time I come to el Torito we have been served by the same girl both times and both times have been horrible with the service she took our drink orders then our food orders then after that she came back once to see if we where doing ok we told her we where I told her can we get refill on our drinks she took the cups to refill she never came back with our refills we had to ask a nice lady that’s picking up the plates from the tables if she can brings us drinks and she gladly brought them to us she asked anything else I told her yes please some more ranch and hit sauce if u have some she said of course her name I believe is sol .sol was amazing I dont know why sol isn’t a waiter instead of the girl that was our waiter I think management doesn’t look into this lady that doesn’t know how to be a waiter we had to ask sol for our check because the girl that was watering us didn’t comeback until sol told her I guess we needed the check that’s when we seen the girl again I just don’t know how she’s a waiter I am really disappointed this girl has helped us both times and the service has been the same I thought that this time she was going to be better but I guess she got worse hopefully management can look into this and talk to her about her service but management I think sol should be a waiter she would be a great waiter hopefully next time I won’t have the same experience and I come all the way from Temecula to el Torito that’s a drive for me to get horrible service from the waiter

Hidden surcharge! Unfortunately, they’ve decided to add a 3.99% charge to your bill. There is a tiny sign at the hostess stand that says this, if you can catch it, if not you’ll have a surprise added to your check. The food was fine and service was good but I won’t be returning when the restaurant is sneaky and greedy.

There was no one to greet us when we walked in. We went to the bar top, thinking the service would be fast. There were about 5 people behind the bar and they weren’t busy at all. As soon as I sat down, it took them about 10 minutes before they even took my drink order. Keep in mind the whole time we had been ignored. Once we got our drinks, we were waiting for them to bring us food menus or even ask if we were going to have dinner there. We didn’t get a food menu for about 30 minutes. I had to stop one of the bartenders just to get a menu. Then they never came back to check to see if we wanted to order anything. Again, I had to stop one of them to ask if we could order some dinner. Once our order was taken, our food arrived about 20 minutes after. The corn cake was greasy and soggy. The salad just didn’t taste right. I had shared the salad with my friend. We both tried a little bit of it and it was not good. I had to ask them to adjust the check. It was the worst service and worst quality food I’ve ever had at an El Torito. I left a zero dollar tip because that’s what they deserved. Never coming back to this location again.
