I went for lunch on November 19th with my colleagues, the staff was really friendly and I ate the best tagliolini with pesto and potatoes of my life. Then we had the steak and I have to say it was truly excellent. I really recommend it.

Per trovare un tavolo libero è consigliabile arrivare non oltre le 12:30. Il menù offre una scelta abbastanza vasta di portate di buona qualità. Ma il piatto forte del locale sono le sopraffine e stra-richieste -Trenette al pesto-. Ci troviamo di fronte ad un Pesto alla genovese tra i migliori che si possano assaporare in tutta la provincia.

You can't miss out on a trenetta al pesto. It's their specialty! I work in the area and often order them for lunch. There's not a single table without someone ordering them. Overall, the food is good. There's not a lot of choice on the menu, and the dishes are always the same except for a first and second course that change daily. If you're a group of more than four, it's best to book because there's not much space inside.

The trenette al pesto are plentiful and delicious, as is the cutlet. The restaurant is a spacious and clean open space, the service is quick, and the staff is friendly. A year later, I'm still recommending the trenette and adding my compliments for the chard tart.

Great local food !

Piccolo locale che da fuori sembrerebbe essere solamente un bar ma a pranzo si trasforma in ristorantino veloce ed informale. Ci sono passato durante un viaggio di lavoro e ho provato un piatto di pasta al pesto veramente buono! Un conoscente, di Genova, ci va spesso lavorando vicino e tutti i piatti sono al top. Da provare. Prezzi economici.

Weekday lunch. First course: Trenette pasta with pesto. Generous portion, pasta a bit overcooked for my taste (but that's okay); good, creamy, balanced pesto. A decent dish (€8.50). Second course: Cotoletta. This portion is also generous, well-breaded, not (overly) greasy, and tender. An equally decent dish (€8.50). Side dish: French fries. Extremely dry. Honestly, the only dish that wasn't worth it (€3.00). Drinks: Still water in a 0.5L plastic bottle and coffee. The place is objectively sparse: a single room with a counter and tables (few, and in fact there's a bit of a line to get seated). It's essentially a cafeteria. The table is really simple: a thin paper tablecloth and cutlery wrapped in napkins. The staff is courteous and even quick (both the grated cheese and the sauce for the fries were served automatically, not upon request). The overall price of the meal seemed a bit high for the overall context (I would have considered a full menu at 15-16 euros more appropriate than the 21.50 euros spent (the fries were shared between two), but I still admit that I ate quite well, and that's what matters.

Unsatisfactory lunch break Small bar in Carignano, famous for its pesto, which was certainly good, but the rest was overpriced for what we ate. Raw carrots, a beef steak, and half a portion of pasta with pesto. Half a liter of water. €32 for two was too much! Not much choice. I don't think I'll be back.

Per essere un bar si mangia veramente bene, il pesto è ottimo e di livello superiore a quello che si può assaggiare in alcuni ristoranti. Tuttavia è un po' caro, probabilmente perché l'antipatia del personale è compresa nel prezzo.
